First time to visit. It was very good atmosphere. Salad was large and wonderful. The olive oil and vinegars are very good. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Not a lot of tables but nice to eat there if you can. Especially since they keep the music loud enough to hear but low enough to carry a conversation. So much better than a lot of other restaurants.

This unique place offers an incredible variety of intriguing food items, making it an exciting place to explore. Unfortunately, they were out of lunch “stuff,” even with just our salad order. The chicken was so tough in the salads that we ended up giving it to our puppies. We were in the middle of their lunch hour period. Suggestion: the host should take a chill pill and be less overbearing. It’s still worth the visit but not for food.

Very neat place. Not only can you get made to order food (during lunch hours), but they also have a coffee and tea bar. While you're waiting for your food, there is plenty to look at and taste. They have unique gift items, a flavored balsamic vinegar, and an olive oil wall. You can try different types of flavored oils and vinegars, and they are available for purchase. I picked up a bottle of the blackberry and ginger vinegar; I can't wait to try it! I ordered the strawberry salad and it was very good!

Such a cool little shop and place of dining. I love this shop! You gotta come by for the coffee, huge selection of olive oils and spices, and the brunch! A must see! Edit: I wrote my initial review the moment I walked in. Let me tell you about my experience here because it was so worth the stop. I came in with my wife, and we ordered brunch. There was a little mix up, and the owner apologized profusely and their chef threw in a lovely dessert for our trouble. I absolutely LOVE this place. I will never buy olive oil anywhere else, and I can see myself getting a latte here every weekend. Please come by this amazing local place and support these fine people!

This was my first visit here. I went for lunch not knowing what to expect but I heard it was good. They did not disappoint. The store and restaurant are kept very nice and clean. The staff was really helpful as well. I had a pear chicken salad that was topped with oils that Cordell's sells. It was delicious! I also tasted the chicken salad sandwich that my friend had as well. It was also fantastic. We then stepped over to their store, which is in the same building, and purchased some of the oils that we had just eaten in our lunches. The owner, Joy, came out to check on us while we ate and then later waited on us while we chose the oils we wanted to purchase. We had a great experience and we will be back!

Fabulous!! Salads are perfection (and moderately priced); products available are unique and delectable! Great place for a quick healthy bite and shopping for gifts or to take home and enjoy yourself!

The tomato soup is always fabulous! We had the “happy mistake” salad and it was so good! The Chicken Salad is fabulous too!

Love this place. Jason, Joy and Amber are always helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Fantastic selection of products, absolutely top notch quality. Do you pay a little more than inferior grocery store items? Yes. Will we continue to do so? Yes. They do get very busy sometimes but that’s just the way it goes when you have a great business. Just have to be patient, promise it’s worth it.

Daughters and I went for lunch the other weekend. Food was fine. Have had better. Have had worse. I had the chicken salad sandwich. She had the salad version. The big turn off was the pushy sales pitch and push to "open a tab" to purchase olive oil. Was there for lunch not to shop.

Not the type of place I'd usually eat, but it was one of the best salads in abilene! Ordered grilled cheese for the kids and tried a piece it was amazing as well. Very small menu. Kind of a unique place to eat but overall very good!

Cordell's is an amazing place full of wonderful real balsamic vinegars in many flavors as well as an unbelievable selection of olive oils! They have many other items there as well as a cafe with healthy soups and salads! If you are looking for a unique gift, healthy skin care or lunch you are in the right spot. It's a small storefront but well stocked and managed by a sweet husband and wife team. It's a comfortable space for lunch with friends. Visit Cordell's. Buy local!

I can't say enough positive things about Cordell's! Stopped in for lunch and left feeling knowledgeable about teas, oils, and balsamic vinegars! Loved sampling the different combinations of oils and vinegars, while having an amazing lunch to boot! Friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere. Will definitely be back when I'm in Abilene again next summer!

Cordell's did the salad for the Farm to Table event in Abilene. It was absolutely amazing! I can hardly wait to try the bistro menu.

For the vinegar and flavored oils alone, it's worth the visit and being able taste before buying. The Tangerine is so good. The co-owner (husband and wife) waited on me. They have sprouted flour in a great selection. Interesting gifts. There's flavored coffees and chocolates. They have lunch. Check the website for menus. They started out over twenty years ago. In process of getting more local artisans and ranchers.

I love the selection of oil and vinegar flavors! The recipe cards have so many amazing salads you can make with different combinations of the oils and vinegars. The staff is always helpful if I have questions about any of the oils and vinegars and what to use together for a great dressing on salads. Great place! You need to check it out!

Wonderful place with all kinds of oils, vinegars and spices that are hard to find. The owner is so helpful and didn't mind answering any questions. I was fortunate enough to receive a couple of gifts from here in the past, but it's nice to go in and browse for yourself.

Very fresh and refreshing! From their seasonally inspired salads to their soups, it's a perfect pair of healthy lunch! Love their dressing? You can easily make them in your own kitchen using the recipe cards provided in their store. I love that they support local farmers by using locally grown produce. I love the ladies who work there! Every single my family comes in, we're always warmly greeted and they carefully explain the day's menu along with their own personal preference. It sure does help when you're feeling adventurous but is unfamiliar with a certain dish. Every visit is a pleasant dining experience!

Today was my first time at Cordelle's. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I had the chicken salad lunch, black currant iced tea, and the maple pecan ice cream. I ended up buying some of the loose leaf black currant tea to take home. I love acidic salad and tangy chicken salad, which is what I got. If you love these things as well then I highly recommend.

A great little shop. I'm not big into specialty spices, oils, and vinegars, but this place has a small bakery that I like to pick up dessert at. The pecan cinnamon rolls were wonderful and the strawberry scones were really good. They do a daily lunch that I haven't tried yet, but I will. Come try them.

They remember me when I walk through the door every single time, even with months between purchases. Their coffee is best and they are very knowledgeable about every product on the shelf. Their spice selection is pretty delicious too!!

Popped in here for a late lunch on our trip through Texas. Customer service was excellent and our salads were so delicious. The dressings were sweet, light and refreshing. We even bought the balsamic vinegar and olive oil that were used in our salads to take home! Will definitely be back!

I'm in town for work and had to depend on yelp and found Cordell's. It's in a small shopping strip with other casual eateries and is pretty easy to find. Upon entering, I was greeted by two sweet ladies who were very informative of the offerings they have. You can tell they know their customers since they said they haven't seen me around town. They sell dressings, oils, and a bunch of other stuff but also serve lunch. I ordered a salad with tenderloin pieces and it was so fresh and delicious. I also had an iced coffee which tasted better than any starbucks you can go to. Overall, i'd definitely come back if i'm ever in town for work

I was pleasantly surprised at how yummy "rabbit" food could be. The lady who helped us did a great job of explaining where their food comes from. Not only was it delicious but it was nice to know our purchase supports local farmers!

I am in love with all the different flavored oils at Cordell`s. My pantry is becoming full of Cordell's oils! I also love the owners. They are so helpful and knowledgeable about their products. I've gotten some really good recipes too. Oh and if they are out of an oil they will call you as soon as they get it in and have it ready for you to pick up! Cordell's has got me more interested in cooking and experimenting. I have not had a chance to eat lunch there yet but it's on my list!

Delicious. We love the oils and vinegars. Also had a chicken salad sandwich. Chicken salad was well balanced and the fresh bread was very good. Hope to get the fresh bread loaf often.

Incredible place. Wouldn't expect it in Abilene but is really a hidden gem in the city. Very excited to try the restaurant later on in January and will be trying out the cooking classes as well. Thankful for places like this in Abilene!

I love this place! Perfect for lunch! The sandwiches are served on homemade organic sprouted wheat bread. It was the perfect size for lunch. I can't say enough glowing things about it. Also, get fresh baked goods, local honey, olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Go here!

Wonderful customer service! My husband ordered the grilled cheese with the tomato soup and it hit the spot. I order the chicken salad sandwich (had Granny Smith apples) and loved it! Perfect crisp and freshness to it. I never thought I'd find a place like this in Abilene! Reminds me of farm to fork (very CA)! We love how they have different specials daily. We look forward to trying them for brunch very soon. We are hooked and see you soon!

I loved Cordell's food! I had the chicken salad sandwich and the sweet black currant tea, and my husband had the grilled cheese and tomato soup all of which were very tasty! They have a half store/half dine-in area and sell various spices, balsamic vinegars, and olive oils that are made by them. They also sell other products from local businesses. Cannot wait to come back to try more from their menu. :)

Not only do they have amazing food but what a great little shop to shop at for your all of olive oil's, vinegars, spices coffees, and Teas! Great little find and super helpful and knowledgeable staff!

Cordell's is the bomb! Their Lunches are wonderful and oh, so tasty. I love their salads, their bread is so good, and I bake bread all the time, so I'm picky. Jason and Joy are so nice, and are very responsive to requests of what to have in their store. I particularly love the Wiseman House chocolates. My only complaint is that they are located so far away from where I work that it is hard for me to get there at lunch time. Definitely recommend you to go by if you haven't - as the cliche goes,"you'll be glad you did!"

They have the best selection of spices. I've been able to give in and try cooking cuisine from around the world because they carry the spices I need. They also have delicious doughs and breads delivered in, as well as artisan cheeses. The olive oil and vinegar sections are also really diverse and delicious. This place is an Abilene foodies paradise.

VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE! These guys really impressed me the first time I went in! Then i tried their products. OUTSTANDING. They have a passion for quality ingredients and are bringing some really great products to Abilene. They rotate their olive oils based upon what hemisphere is in summer! WHO DOES THAT ?? Impressed!

Went in for brunch and the food was not even make-at-home food quality. I was very disappointed as their pictures always look great. Everyone in the party agreed we wouldn't chance it again. I understand having an off day but if your "chef" cant fry an egg I lose all confidence.

Once again, I just enjoyed a delicious, incredibly healthy meal here at a venue that is definitely one of my favorites of all time. I finally got to try their blueberry waffles today, and they were definitely worth the wait. I also had to replenish my stock of mild olive oil. Thank goodness, I still have plenty of their cranberry-pear vinegar. My Mom and I take a tablespoon of the olive oil and a tablespoon of the vinegar one time in the morning and one time in the evening. We have actually lost quite a bit of weight by doing so, as well as lessened joint pain. This is such a special business with amazing products!!!!

This is a fun little speciality shop that sells spices, olive oils, vinegars, and a few other items. While the selection is not vast, they do carry some very hard to find items that I've been wanting. For example, they sell a muffuletta topping that is identical to the giardiniera topping that is commonly found in Chicago--a topping made of olives, peppers, celery, cauliflower, and some other ingredients. We sampled all of the vinegars and oils and enjoyed most of them. We elected to buy a bottle of the Sicilian Lemon vinegar that goes wonderfully with seafood. The items can be a bit pricey, but if I were to order some of the speciality goods online and pay for shipping, I would probably spend just as much and have to wait several days for my purchases. They have a restaurant opening soon (or maybe it's open now) and I'm exited to try their food.

Stopped in, in a hurry and was served the most delicious to go food quick but top notch!! Will def be returning

Cordell's sells all types of infused oils and vinegars, spices, coffee, tea, chocolate, and cheese. If you are a chef or a foodie you have to check it out. They offer classes and some really fabulous items. The owners are great and can give you all types of tips on how to use the items in their shop. Today we bought garlic olive oil, fresh mozzarella, all types of rubs and seasonings, and some out of this world pistachio/thyme chevre (goat cheese).

Cordell's is a lovely shop that specializes in vinegars & oils, complete with a comprehensive pairing chart! They also sell honey, jams, coffee, tea, & various other foodie goodies. There is an impressive "spice room" in the back, with hard to find products such as lavender, as well as interesting spice rubs, like their garlicky "pitmaster BBQ" rub, that includes coffee grounds! They often have a nice selection of cheeses, & you can order fresh pizza dough & bread. I can vouch for their sourdough wheat ;) They are very helpful and knowledgeable here!

We attended a special dinner event. Started very late and never had a chance to meet the other attendees before sitting down. A brief greeting period with a glass of wine and small appetizer would have been nice. We certainly paid for it. Men sat together...this is Abilene...women sat together. Talk was all about grandchildren. Overall presentation was sad. Tablecloths, tea lights and better quality utensils would have been lovely.

Love this store and the owners! I found it several years ago when christmas shopping and it became a family staple. The owners are so nice and knowledgeable about each of their products. They seem to really enjoy what they do and it shows.

Jason and Joy are the best! Their store stocks a great variety of oils and vinegars plus many other delicious foods. The spice area is superb. The restaurant is great plus they periodically have special dinners that never disappoint. highly recommend!

This is a wonderful unique spot in Abilene. If you like to cook you can find high quality ingredients that can be hard to find in a city this size. They also have creative menus and special functions. I also highly recommend them for catering and have used them for this purpose.

This place is awesome! Their selection of specialty oils and vinegars is incredible and the owners passion for quality food is apparent. The shop itself is neat, well organized, and has a great atmosphere. This place is a must visit.

Just a straight up awesome place!! The store front sells top notch unbeatable olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and spices that I use almost daily now in some manner. They offer excellent classes on everything you would like to know about the products they sell and how to utilize them to their highest potential. They also have a restaurant side that serves lunch daily with an amazing rotating menu sure to please. And finally the icing on the cake.... Gus's gelato. If you stop in just give in and try some of this amazing frozen treat. You won't be disappointed.

Love this place! I love shopping for oils and spices, but I also love their food! I can get things here that I can't eat any other restaurant without getting an upset stomach. The way they value quality keeps me coming back!

Delicious! Very cozy and the food is delicious. Will definitely return... I want to try some of their oils and vinegars next time.
