We just hosted a wonderful intimate surprise party for about 25 people with the help of Eduardo, Omar, and Johan. The food was delectable. The wine was perfect and the beer options as well. We will definitely be adding this venue to our happy hour rotation to enjoy some of the bites that made our party a hit with all guest!

The service was truly spectacular. Eduardo and Mauricio make all the difference with their warmth and kindness — it had been a long time since I felt so well taken care of, literally like being at home. The food was simply divine and super fresh. I had some oysters that tasted as if they had just been caught — absolutely amazing! Everything was super, super, super divine. I 100% recommend this place. Without a doubt, an experience worth repeating. 👏🔥

The food is amazing! Had the oysters, Gambas al Ajillo, cheeseburger, and the cordial taco with friends. The cheeseburger was handmade and very flavorful! I usually prefer west coast oysters, but these were very good - both salty and sweet with an earthy after taste. The staff are super friendly and shared their inspiration behind opening this restaurant! This will be a neighborhood gem.

This place had such a cozy romantic atmosphere with out of this world food. Great music, old movies playing on the projector, and the food was the starrrrr. The birria was insane, shishito peppers were perfect, and the cocktail menu was amazing and so lengthy. Everyone was so welcoming and wanted to make sure we had the best time. I am so happy to see this place is here and I will definitely be back! Tons of gluten free options for those who need that!

Cordial is a charming spot that's perfect for group outings and especially romantic date nights. We stopped by for pre-dinner drinks and were immediately drawn in by the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The beer and sangria were great, and the plate of chicken tacos (three pieces) was a delightful surprise, bursting with flavor. Although our visit was brief, we thoroughly enjoyed our time and have already marked Cordial down on our list to return and try more of their menu offerings. With great happy hour deals to boot, Highly recommended!

Came in to try this cozy little spot and absolutely loved it. The ambiance is very chill and the rustic decor makes it feel oddly homey For drinks I had the "Part-time Lover" which was SO GOOD. I was really refreshing, nice and strong too. My friend had espresso martinis which she said were good. For food we got a bunch of stuff which I rank as follows: 1. The ceviche (you HAVE TO get this, it was absolutely amazing. Super fresh and really balanced) 2. Fish Tacos (the tacos are small but these are loaded! Also really fresh and delicious) 3. Arrachera Tacos (again small tacos but the flavor was there, the green sauce that came with then was really good) 4. Shishito Peppers (you can never go wrong with these) 5. Flan (flan is usually a miss for me when dinning out but this one was good. Not too sweet and the texture was good. It did have a lemon or lime flavor that I am was not a fan of but overall still good) 6. Buffalo wings (these were the least memorable, not bad but I don't think I'd get them again) Service was a little slow but the staff was super friendly. I will definitely be back.

I’m shocked this place hasn’t been discovered by the masses! Its incredible. It’s easy to get a table but the food and atmosphere are top notch. Some highlights: the birria, the crispy shrimp taco, and the garlic shrimp. Cocktails are simple but excellent. I had one of the best whiskey sours I’ve had in New York. I came here for my birthday dinner (among other times) and I highly recommend it.

Stopped by with my family of 5 after attending the Millrose Games up at the 168th Street Armory. Really nice space, stylishly decorated, excellent food and, caught the tail end of their Happy Hour for a couple of generously poured glasses of Rioja. Really nicely done. Will go back even though it's 1 1/2 miles from my home.

This place is sexy and intimate, great for date night or a friend outing. The staff is nice. My friend and I were looking for a place for dessert and drinks, so we stumbled into the Cordial. I ordered the prosecco, and we tried the chocolate fondue and a pear dessert. The bartender took our order; he told us that the chocolate fondue came with seasonal fruits, which he told us came with bananas, strawberries, and apples. When he gave us the desserts, the fruits on the plate were nothing, he told us. It had mango, apple, and figs (my friend is allergic to mango), so she was only able to eat only the 5 little apple pieces that were on the plate, and the figs were very mushy. The pear dessert was not so great. So I asked the bartender if he could exchange the pear dessert for more fruits for the chocolate fondue. Again, it was random different fruits; the second round of fruits was figs, oranges, and grapefruit. Cordial is small, so you can see the chefs cooking in the kitchen. With that being said, you can see one of the chefs washing dishes with gloves on and then proceeding to eat a mango with the same glove and then preparing the meals he cleaned dishes and ate with. It was so unsanitary. I just got disgusted and disappointed quickly after watching him. The sad part is that I and my friend were super happy to find a chill place to go and hang out near where we reside, but unfortunately I'm not sure I'll go back.

I'm genuinely upset to not be BOASTING about Cordial. I've been passing this place for months always too busy to stop in and finally had the opportunity to dine in. Allow me to set the scene. I had a great dinner with a friend on a Saturday night near by and decided to finally pop into Cordial to see what they had for dessert. We were so excited to see chocolate fondue with seasonal fruits and a red wine poached pear dish. We ordered both and admired the cozy, warmly lit space. The chocolate fondue was great and the poached pear was okay, we ended up sending it back because it wasn't what we expected, no biggie tho shit happens. Upon looking around that's when we noticed one of the chefs making a disgusting mistake. He was wearing the same gloves he used to wash dirty dishes to prepare foods we and the entire restaurant ate. Not only that but he was also eating the fruits he cut with those same gloves! Did I eat the germs off someone else's plate while he was washing the dishes? Probably! It's really a shame and a disgrace to this beautiful restaurant. To top it all off the server was also taking shots on the job and seemed to get more hammered with each shot. I wish I could say I was being dramatic but I'm not. I will not be returning to cordial and this review is your red flag!! Proceed with caution and be safe!

We stopped there randomly for a glass of wine and we fell in love with the ambiance, the background music (good mix, not too loud, not too low), the mix smell of coffee and tacos being cooked in front of us, and the very sweet owner/waiter anticipating all our needs :)

The burger was absolutely delicious--juicy, perfectly cooked, and not one of those smashed or burnt patties you get elsewhere. The shrimp appetizers were dangerously addictive--I could have eaten them all night. The Tacos where not good they where f**king great. The staff made the experience even better; they were welcoming, friendly, and attentive to every detail. Honestly, the vibe was so good I found myself wishing I worked there. I'll definitely be coming back again and again.

Yum!! We went last night at around 6:15, table for 4. Immediately greeted and sat by one of the owners/chefs in the only empty table. We ordered Sangria, beer, and sodas. White Sangria was really refreshing on a hot day. For dinner we ordered guacamole and Carne Asada and Fish tacos. Everything was absolutely fresh and so tasty. Wish I had room for dessert. The restaurant is small and intimate but didnt feel crowded. Owners do everything- cook, take orders, make drinks. So warm and friendly! Definitely worth a trip up town!

We had tacos last night and the food was good. I had the carne asada and the marinated pork. Both tacos were delicious and I would be back. The tacos were very flavorful, the carne asada did have a charred taste and the pork was well seasoned. The tacos are small so I could definitely have eaten more. The space is nice and spacious. I liked the open kitchen space. The service was great, they were friendly and told us of their upcoming plans for the restaurant. I would definitely be back when they have expanded their menu and gotten their liquor license.

Cool vibe, exceptional cocktails, and delicious food! The patatas were next level and the cauliflower steak was also unusually fabulous.

My husband and I stumbled across Cordial before ROKC closed, wondering what the cozy, candlelit spot could be, and soon discovered one of our new favorite spots to eat. While intending to be mostly a cocktail bar, out of necessity, they've conjured together an incredible food program as they wait for their full liquor license to come into effect, and we are all the better for it. While I've loved the beer and wine options, I'm absolutely blown away by Cordial's incredible food. Their menu has expanded in the past couple months to become even more delicious but I swear nothing is a miss here. First, the mussels are to die for: I could swim in and live off of that garlicky buttery creamy broth, it's just divine. I've been a few times with different friends and we have always ordered more toast to sop it up. Next, the guacamole is also on point (we came after a trip to Holbox and were feeling judgy but everything was just as good as in Mexico, which is a tall order). And the tacos... oh yes. The birria with the consomé is indulgent and sublime, the octopus is a new favorite (love the balance of the potato), the fried fish is also delish, but I think everyone's personal favorite was the carne asada - at least this time. I honestly cannot choose as I love them all, and just want to find a new reason to return. This is a beautiful curated, family run new spot that everyone should visit -- cute and romantic for date night, and great for time out with friends too. A must!

Love this place great addition to the neighborhood. The tacos and small plates are amazing and tasty. The wine list selection is amazing with a great price during happy hour. Mocktails and wine base cocktail's are creative. Great place for a date.

Great service from walking in, super attentive staff I love it ! The rose was 5 star for me . Rogelio was a great waiter /server/bartender definitely attentive to the tables needs! Every course of meal was completely up to par I'd love to come back ! The ambiance definitely something to check out I've gotten to experience both indoor and outdoors.

Gentrified take on Mexican food that fails completely. Latino family of 4, to celebrate Father's Day, were barely greeted upon arrival, then handed dinner menus during brunch hours. Despite the place being nearly empty, with only a white family there, we waited over 10 minutes without any service. It felt like we were being ignored. So disappointing, especially because the staff are Latino

stopped by this new spot in the neighborhood because my old ramen spot closed next door. The interior looking inviting from the street, warm and well lit. Before I arrived I researched their happy hour which I was excited to try as I typically use happy hours to assess the offering of a new place. Upon arrival there was one other person chatting with the bartender who seemed like the owner who coldly greeted me before handing me the menus. Luckily I was coming early in early in the evening for a happy hour drink and some Mexican food. No happy hour menu was given- bad sign of a restaurant in desperate need for the extra few dollars per drink. When I asked if it was still happy hour the bartender pretended that he " forgot" to give me the happy hour menu. Mind you i observed every person that walked in after me who were Spanish speaking received the happy hour menu no problem. I arrived famished and thirsty but sadly the bartender spent the entire 30 minutes I was there with his back to the bar texting on his phone or only chatting with the only other customer at the bar until others arrived completely oblivious that I was there to spend money. The glass of wine iordered took way too long arrive and when it did tasted old and as though it was open for days not to mentioned it was hot as hell, ewww. The happy hour food menu is a sad excuse for a happy hour offering at $2 dollars off the regular menu price(not enticing) . Overall the place seems amateur, unwelcoming and not a good value for the neighborhood unless you speak spanish or are white. 26 dollars for average Mexican is insane. You could go to the best Mexican restaurants in the city and pay less. I'd avoid this place at all costs. Definitely not worth it. Ive lived in the neighborhood since 2007 when it was only Latinos and Blacks and have never been to a place so eager to brown nose the new migration of lighter skinned folks priced out of every other part of manhattan and now live uptown. Please pass this place by and let an another place tats for the neighborhood open up.

place is amazing. the food was amazing. also they cook the food right in front of you. i know alot of place that doesnt do that. the scenery was spectacular. the staff was nice and very attentive. drinks are tasty. i highly recommend if you just want to chill and read a good book or bring friends for brunch or late night. highly recommend.

My new FAVORITE restaurant in Hamilton Heights, NYC!! Two steps down to a beautifully decorated sweet hideaway on Broadway. The food is amazing! Went on Friday night after Thanksgiving, party of 4 plus 1 child. We had Guacamole, Fried Califlower with a nicely spiced sauce, Four kinds of Tacos - Fish, Shrimp, Carne Asada and Pork. All were delicious. (The child had Jamon with grilled bread- but wouldn't share they liked it so much.) AND they have a Happy Hour from 4 pm to 7 pm every day - so beer, wine, and cocktails were $5, $7 and $8. What could be wrong! Wait staff is friendly and helpful. We went back on Sunday night and had the same order all over again but people getting tacos they didn't get on Friday! We all LOVE this place!

Absolutely love Cordial. It's the best coffee for about 10 blocks. The tacos are very good. That atmosphere is beautiful, and they're always so welcoming.
