New in Troy and was shocked to see so many negative reviews. Needed to go to ER on Tue night because of unbearable upper abdomen pain. Everyone in ER was nice and helpful; I was put in a room, blood work and exams were done within an hour. Dr. came to discuss the results soon, and a surgeon was scheduled to see me. I was moved to a room upstairs, didn't assume the surgery would take place that day, but the surgeon came back at 8:30pm and performed the surgery! Everything went smoothly. I think by nature it's a big hospital, so wait time is inevitable, but they did what they could to make sure I was not waiting in discomfort. Feeling grateful that I was treated well by all the kind people in there. They deserve some nice encouragement.

In 2015 I recieved dietary counseling during my pregnancy. In 2015 I delivered my child. The nurses supported me when my child's father left. I spent the first night alone. One nurse was upset with me because I didn't have anyone present. I didn't have anyone. Another nurse was strong enough to say I'm not supposed to be doing this alone. Four years later a month after getting my own place with my child I went to the ER because I trusted this hospital. I had pain in my head and began recalling memories of a sexual assault that occurred during a medical emergency. I listened to every direction and gave all necessary information. I wanted an MRI but in my limited medical knowledge at the time was given a CT scan. The staff I believe did their best with what they knew. A young man in the scan room asked me how old I thought he was? I talked with him about my first art scholarship at 10 years old. I would visit this hospital one more time soon after because of muscle spasms in my face and loss of taste. One doctor was kind enough to give me results of my physical state and say I am okay. Nothing about my situation was easy and I understand a hospital does not know me personally and anything involving head injuries is not an exact science. God bless and my child is growing up beautiful.

Since Corwell took over I have been in ER & the birth center. Was taken care of well each time in ER. Nurses were wonderful helping me through my 2nd trimester loss. But I left behind the footprints of my passed baby & when calling I was put on hold then hung up on. I was forwarded to lost & found after calling back a 2nd time. Told her this when I went in (after almost a wk when I happened to be in ER) & I got scoffed at & treated like the biggest nuisance of her day. Phone people are like this too. My husband was threatened with our assets being frozen for nonpayment. Luckily a friendlier woman called back to speak with him.. Glad I did my own cremation for baby tho or else I would have nothing of her. Thank you so much to the Granny Muffin badged nurse who took the time to be so gentle with both of us & took said footprints for us

I had a horrible experience in The ER, so I will give them a 1 star, because I had only on nurse that helped me, but I will give 10 stars and more to the nurses on the main hospital 6001, and specially the ones on 2201. That team Rocks RN Emily, and her NA, also RN Andrea and Her NA Mrs. Peggy and the whole team up there was God sent especially from me, having to be there for 3 nights and dealing. With the first night being horrible and the emergency room and experience and the treatment that I received down there. They were horrible in that emergency room. But these ladies revise my confidence in health care again.Because they just showed up and showed out for me, and I just want to thank you.And for my super fantastic, awesome doctor Dr. Nada Aziz, Thank you and God bless, you are the true meaning off a Awesome Doctor....

Serious Safety Concern - Radiation Exposure Without Consent Our recent experience at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy raised serious concerns about patient safety and respect for consent. During my mother’s hospital stay, an X-ray was performed on her roommate while my mother was still in the same room. Despite my mother’s clear request not to be exposed to radiation, staff did not allow her to leave before the X-ray was taken. This was not her procedure, and she had every right to refuse exposure and to be moved to a safe distance. Instead, she was forced to remain in the room during the imaging, which is completely unacceptable and unsafe. No explanation or apology was provided afterward. This incident shows a disturbing disregard for patient rights and basic radiation safety protocols. I strongly urge hospital leadership to investigate this matter, retrain staff on patient consent and safety procedures, and ensure that no other patient is ever put at risk in this way.

Had a reverse shoulder replacement surgery. The staff was second to none, from the surgeon to the preparatory class to the nursing staff and the anesthesiologist. I was kept informed by text messages before, during and after with reminders and helpful information. The consultation with Dr Roodbeen explained everything on what to expect. Checking in for surgery was very easy and pleasant. The nursing staff did everything possible to make it a stress free process. Surgery went well. After care and text messages kept me on track. Went a lot better than expected. Thank you Dr Roodbeen and Corewell nurses

It's a terrible hospital. Has not gotten any better. A name change wasn't going to make it a better place. I can't even visit my parents without getting yelled at by staff members I used to work with. You think I want to be there at a place that has cause me so much grief for years. No! Thay need to hire better people and bosses that in force things fairly without favoritism or judgment. I wish my parents found a better hospital to go to, Because corewell troy sucks. I would look out for the radiology department/ transport. If your looking for a job I wouldn't suggest working there. Toxic work environment and the boss even worse!

Beaumont has some wonderful people at this hospital, however you have some bad seeds or shall I say smart mouth arrogant people whom feel they are better than others or can treat people any kind of way. While I was there when I came in at night the staff were amazing by morning I had met a very unique person in 4west named NURSE Janice. I was supposed to go get a ultrasound when the young transporting lady arrived to get me she came in and announced herself then said she's here to take me to transport i said ok she walked to the door and waited for me i then said was someone gonna push me down?? She responded no you can walk i immediately responded no i cannot everytime i come to the hospital i have to be pushed because i have multiple sclerosis and my legs go out without warning im a highfall risk and unfortunately i cant walk long distances cause of uncoordination and circulation issues im also a heavyset woman. I felt very uncomfortable that i even had to say all that. At that time the young lady calls my nurse and while walking to the door says to her im her to pick 123 up but she dont wanna walk now that hurt cause trust if i could i would but i couldn't say anything to her because someone had to tell her those things to make her feel i could walk and that person was my nurse janice. I started asking id like to see my nurse the girl is crying saying i called shes not answering i start crying cause i felt horrible because that girl did not deserve my irritation nurse janice did. Finally NURSE JANICE COMES TO MY ROOM i ask her did you tell this young lady i could walk she said yeah i did cause it said you could get into a wheelchair. I responded yes i can pivot and turn into a wheelchair that doesn't mean i can walk. Thats definitely you assuming instead of asking me she then responded well how do u get into the wheelchair? i said i pivot then she said and how do you get off the bed and what about the commode i told her they are to tall for me. I then asked her if she read my chart or any notes from my chart she said no i didn't i cant access those things or go back to older ones. Basically every way i responded she had a answer for and kept ASSUMING AGAIN I CAN WALK CAUSE OF HER OWN PERSONAL FEELINGS. ONCE AGAIN IM JUST THINKING IN MY HEAD WHY IS THIS NURSE SO COMBATIVE AND ALREADY MADE UP HER MIND WHAT I CAN AND CANT DO. YET AFTER EVERYTHING the golden question still has yet to be asked and that is excuse me patient whats comfortable for you and how can we make sure your testing gets completed instead of ready to attack me by any means necessary mode. Thats not a good attitude to have in this field. I hadnt even been in my room a day and all this has taken place. To be spiteful she then siged me up for pt and ot to be a nasty bully ive been in lots of hospitals but never signed up for pt in the first 16 hrs. now that is not ok and you dont treat or talk to a person that way. Let alone your patient in a hospital. I feel something should be done about nurse janice in 4west i will be reaching out to the hospital directly. Cause at the end of if all i should not have had to tell all my business to full audiences. But for that young lady to feel it was ok in the 1st place to say to nurse janice she dont wanna walk with the tone she used means this isn't the 1st time theyve done this. It just makes you think. Im already judged cause im fat but nurse janice couldve handled everything differently.
