Came here for my anniversary and made a reservation. They ask on the reservation if you prefer a booth, a tabletop, or a table. We chose a table. When we arrived, it was a small wait, not long, but they ended up sitting us at a high-top table. We tried giving it a try, but the chairs were super uncomfortable and so tall! I'm pretty short, so it was hard climbing that tall mountain to sit. We had to eventually ask to move because we were very uncomfortable, plus so many flies at the window that it was disturbing us.
We were moved to a table by the bar area, and our server changed to a bartender. She was nice, but the service was lacking because she was making drinks and attending to us.
I ordered the roasted chicken with a side of mashed potatoes. I was very disappointed that the plate came with a smudge of mashed potatoes hidden under the chicken. It was frustrating because the menu says it's a side, but it was non-existent. However, the chicken was absolutely delicious! The sauce was so addictive as well. It would have been nice if I had mashed potatoes on the side so I could eat the sauce with the potatoes.
My husband ordered The New Yorker, and he loved it! The only thing is he's not a fan of rye bread, but that's his preference; everything was good. I do have to mention that their chips were probably some of the best homemade chips I've tasted. I wanted to order a bag to go.
I wouldn't go here for a romantic dinner and probably wouldn't return. The atmosphere is lacking for a quiet place to eat. It's very loud, and they kept breaking glasses nonstop. We couldn't enjoy our time there.
So, the food was great, but the atmosphere was not so great.
