On the Grid : Cook

"Cook is part classroom, part restaurant, part shop, all focused on the craft of cooking. There are only sixteen highly sought-after seats from which you can watch a simple demo or in-depth instructional class from an ever-changing cast of visiting chefs. If you can get into a class, not only will you learn, but you get to eat some of the best food in town while doing so." - J2 Design

Where to Buy Interesting, Unusual, and Delicious Bottles of Wine in Philly

"Located in Rittenhouse Square, Audrey Claire’s beautifully done Cork, the Wine Shop at Cook features over 120 hard-to-find wines to go as well as vermouth, cider, canned and boxed wine and spritzes, bottled cocktails, and copious nonalcoholic wines. If you’re stocking the pantry, Cork also sells a large selection of curated sweet and savory snacks, including cheese, salami, and chocolate, plus barware, wine accessories, candles, linens, and epicurean books. The staff is happy to help folks find just the right bottle or pairing." - Carolyn Desalu, Noelle Allen

Superb little bottle and sundries shop around the corner from the square. Eclectic selection of wines, unique culinary items, everything a fancy bartender would hope to find in bartender heaven, and you can even get cheese or chocolate bars. Worth a trip in to wander down to Rittenhouse and discover this gem.

One of the best bottle shops I’ve ever been to. Small, unique offerings with many hard-to-find offerings both alcoholic and non-alcoholic wine and spirits here!

Check your food’s expiration date before you buy it from here. They won’t give you a refund and will just smile at you and tell you that you’re wrong and that they had it the other day and it tasted fine to them. Purchased on 5/21 and tried to bring it back 5/22. Expired 2/6/24. It tasted horrible and I have been sick all day. So embarrassed I served this to my guests. Also embarrassed for this business’ customer service, that they were just trained to smile lifelessly and say I’m sorry.

Can only describe this place as enchanting and a great spot for imported treats and kitchen items in addition to bottles of beverages. The people who work here are lovely and they do beautiful gift-wrapping.

My favorite place in Philly. I make sure to go every time I’m in town. They have an amazing selection of wines, non alcoholic drinks and snacks. The staff is always helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. It’s amazing that they have almost every bottle cold so it’s ready to drink. Simply the best! Would move in if I could.

Went to a cookie class here. It was fun. We wouldn't have gone if we didn't have a gift certificate.

My partner and I received a gift certificate from CORK as a wedding gift. I was surprised to see that the wine and alcohol were reasonably priced. Interesting little shop in the city, although it being filled with tourists made the floor difficult to navigate. Hopefully they will bring back the cooking classes in the near future.
