Had a craving for some charcuterie and opted to try out this spot. Their charcuterie was amazing- bread was freshly buttered and warm, the spiced jam was a nice touch and the cheese tomatoes were very unique. Tried 2 of their pastas and they were very flavourful and were generous portions. The only complaint would be the slow service, they were moderately busy but we didn’t get waters or menus for about 10 mins after sitting down. This was quite slow and we also waited quite long for the food after we had ordered. Would still give them another chance and try other menu items, perhaps before a meal time rush to see if they could redeem themselves on the service aspect. Great food overall.

We stopped in here on a whim planning to just grab a glass a wine and ended up staying and having a full dinner. They have a fun selection of wines and authentic Italian food. Pastas are prepared fresh and they have menu items that you don’t see often, like Bottarga! Everything we ordered was delicious and the owner was kind and welcoming. We sat inside by the window because it was a chilly SF evening but there is outside seating and a parklet for a nicer, warmer day. Will return!

I can't believe I have never heard of Corks and found it by walking by it one evening. The best past in SF and the best gnocchi I have ever had. And I have eaten in many good Italian restaurants. The wine collection is great as well. Beautiful ambiance, very cozy, and lovely owner.

Excellent wine selection but the real stars are the homemade pastas and charcuterie. Unbelievable quality and some of the best pasta we’ve had outside of Italy! Our favorite neighborhood wine spot.

This is a lovely authentic neighborhood spot hidden right in our neighborhood. Giuseppe and his son take very good care of their guests and we thoroughly enjoyed the Italian cuisine including the sizable appetizers, and homemade pasta and desserts. Great wine selections by the glass. More people should know about this place.

The gnocchi is simply incredible and Alejandro will have you taken care of with some amazing wine options. The hospitality, ambience, and food make this one of the best italian spots in SF.

I'm not one to write reviews but this place so deserves it. Food, wine, service, ambiance - all AMAZING. You feel like you've stumbled into a little piece of Italy and I can't get enough of it. The vodka pasta, wild boar ragu and bolognese are a few of my favorites. Will keep coming back every chance I get.

I've been meaning to check out Corks for a while and finally got around to going on my birthday this year. It was perfect! The ambiance was lovely and cozy, the pasta was perfect, the wine was delicious. There were candles on the tables and the music wasn't too loud so you could hear each other fine. We ordered the burrata and prosciutto appetizer and would order again. The gnocchi was the star of the night and we will come back just for that. The orecchiette was also really good and I would order again but will probably try some of the other pastas first. And we definitely plan to be back sooner rather than later to try them all! :)

I've only been to Italy once and I've been thinking about how godlike the food is ever since. And eating here, literally, flooded my brain of memories that I've been chasing for. The food is very rich in authenticity and crafted with such care. I recommend the fried zucchini antipasta (appetizer). So good, and it comes with sweet red bell peppers with like cheese inside it. Oh my lanta. Y'all might get triggered about the wait for the food but depending what you want takes time to make. So wait because it's worth it. The vibe at least we went was low key. My wife and I love going to Bella Trattoria, but we now found another Italian spot where the vibe is more calm. It's like a quiet coffee shop vibe where you go to have a nice glass of wine and eat good pasta after a long hard day/week at work. I got the vodka cheese pasta I forgot the name and puttin disrespect on the name but it wen very well with the red wine, I think the Lincongiello. Something like that. Will definitely be back.

Authentic Italian cuisine. Giuseppe's establishment offers the best you can hope for this side of the Atlantic. From the Caprese to the Gnocci, each dish is crafted with the freshest ingredients and made with care as if you were family. Excellent wine selection and of course house made desserts. If you've been to Italy this will bring you right back. If you've never been-this is your chance to have the culinary experience that you hear people talk about after having visited.

This is as close as I will get to eating authentic Italian food in Italy someday. Corks will do for now! This is now my go-to spot for a nice glass of wine, yummy al dente pasta, and cozy vibes. A mixture of people going out for nightlife and residents back home after work. Favorites to order: Prosciutto e Burrata Prosciutto e Vodka Gorgonzola Glera Prosecco I truly appreciate how simple the menu selection is. Appetizers primarily consist of salads and, a variety of cheeses to taste. There are probably 2 items within the apps that are not salad or cheese boards. The main course is solely pasta. So, if you are wanting to eat something aside from pasta, then Cork's may not be the place for that. I believe they prioritize reservations but do take walk in's.

The food is delicious and so fresh. I got the gnocchi and the burrata & prosciutto appetizer. The space is very small and intimate; but don't worry, it's not overly hot. It can be a little claustrophobic initially. Our dishes took a long time to get to the table but it is worth the wait.

Really cute and cozy wine bar/restaurant. Stopped by here a few nights ago when it was pouring outside, and my friend and I were the first two people there for dinner. We were lucky to snag the cozy window nook seats. We ordered the prosciutto and burrata app, tagliatelle al cinghiale and prosciutto e vodka. Everything was delicious, and I think it's the best pasta I've had in the city so far. We also ordered desserts, the panna cotta and tiramisu. The tiramisu was a bit more frozen than expected and the panna cotta had a chocolate syrup instead of the advertised cherry sauce. But I prefer chocolate to cherry anyways, so that was fine with me. Would love to come back on a non rainy day to enjoy more pasta!

This place feels a little bit like a Twilight Zone. Just something about the service and the menus was a little off. We did get a great table right by the window. We received 2 menus that had about 85% overlap of VERY similar dishes. When we asked about it - the guy wasn't very clear, but kinda said the one menu was a newer version and we could order off the new one - OR the old one (which had a few extra dishes) - That they were kinda working on fixing and creating an even newer menu to include everything. But even so, the entrees on both that kinda sounded the same didn't have the same description (leaving out important facts, like a beet flavored pasta on one for instance). It took a bit to get the real story from the server...just weird, give me one menu with everything offered (and maybe an extra with only specials) We ordered the Cesar salad to split - it came in a bowl, but he gave us TEENY little bread plates to each get out halves on there. WAY too small a plate - it was small for a bread plate. Anyway the salad was okay - a but under-dressed. My man and I each got a pasta, I got the one with the prosciutto and he got the one with the tellegio cheese. We each had bites of each others, and you know what was the best? It was mixing a bite of each together. I tell you this too - the service was S-L-O-W. I didn't mind it one bit, but if you like to "giddy-up" with ordering and being served, this is NOT the place to go. I am happy I tried this place, but prefer a place like Jackson Fillmore for my local neighborhood pasta needs.

We loved our dinner and wine here. Fair warning--it's pricy. They were generous with their portions, though! The cheese plate in particular was very generous, and the black truffle one was particularly tasty. The filled gnocchi was a particular standout with a walnut and Gorgonzola sauce. Service was great and quick, even though we were sitting outside on a slightly chilly night. Solid parklet for outdoor seating and an adorable interior with an open kitchen.

This was a disappointment. I dined here with friends for dinner a couple of years ago. I had previously walked by the wine bar (shortly before COVID) and noticed that it looked like it could be a hidden neighborhood gem. I also looked up reviews and saw positive comments about their wine selection and simple Italian pasta dishes. At the time we visited (Spring '22), the place looked almost closed, but it turned out that it was open for dinner. Perhaps they were still suffering from COVID difficulties. I'm wondering if I should give it another try. All 3 of us were underwhelmed. The wine list was very small and not particularly interesting. The pasta and other dishes seemed amaturely prepared. It was an OK dinner; no one got sick and we were fed. The server (owner?) was friendly. But it felt like home cooking (in a not good way). Price was not high, be that still translates a significant amount of money these days in SF.

On New Year's Eve: We called at 7:35pm, asked if they had room for a party of two. The owner (or the person who's been waiting tables there for years) said yes. He added :" We close at 9pm. " I said we can be there by 8:15pm. He said that was fine. I asked if he wanted my name and number. He did not. We got there at 8:13pm precisely and he said : "we closed the kitchen. Sorry." Unbelievable.

Corks should be on your list for a date night or just hen you're in the mood for pasta and tiramisu! Went on a Wednesday night around 7:30pm and were sat right away. I had read on here ahead of time that service is slow so be expecting that. Ordered the burrata appetizer which is a generous portion and the Anatra pasta. But the star of the show is the homemade tiramisu! Not a super strong coffee flavor but really good overall.

What a happy accident! I missed my bus stop and was dropped off next to Corks. I walked by and immediately stopped, saw how cozy it was, and decided to go in for a meal. The prosciutto was freshly sliced and the burrata was so creamy and milky. It was perfect with the few arugula leaves and simple drizzle of olive oil. I also tried the pappardelle with rabbit and prune ragu and it was heavenly - it was earthy, sweet, not too gamey, and very satisfying with a glass of their valpolicella ripasso (juicy, medium acid, dried fruits). Best part was when the corner window opened up, they offered the table to us! Can't wait to come back again with more friends.

The sweetest most romantic place! Extremely cozy a complete with candles and soft music. There's only about 5 tables and it's a very small space but homey. The food is authentic and homemade. I ordered the Vodka pasta. The pasta is homemade and so so noticeably so! The menu is essentially all pasta and appetizers, so if you're looking for pizza or other entrees this is not exactly that. The service was not fast, but it wasn't an issue. Honestly, it added to the authentic and homemade feel. Overall an amazing spot! I would recommend for couples and parties no bigger than 3 or 4.

We found Cork through Yelp and decided to give it a try for our last dinner in San Francisco. Everything about the experience was outstanding! We felt as though we were in the chef's home and amongst friends. The pasta was so fresh and deliciously balanced, I couldn't help but eat every last bite! I am also happy to share that I didn't feel overly full at all! My guess is due to the homemade pasta! Thank you so much for your hospitality We will definitely be back next time we're in town!

Great ambiance and service! The wine was incredible and the fried Zucchini was to die for! We love Giuseppe, and had a great evening chit chatting with him about all things Italy! Definitely recommend and will be coming back.

I'm not sure how Corks flew under my radar for a long time but I am super glad I got to try it. Not gonna lie - it is simple. A pasta and wine bar. However, it was done right and when done right, even the simplest kind of pasta is the most delicious. We split a wine bottle among the three of us and also got a side of burrata and procuitto. I had the rabbit ragu with papardelle, my friend had the wild boar and another got the gnooci. They were all excellent. Home made pasta with sauce. We washed it all down with a bottle of red recommended by the staff. We came in on a Thursday evening and there were say 3 other tables that were occupied. I do agree that the food took awhile to get to our table. But all in all, worth the wait.

Love this place. It really reminds me of restaurants in Italy where you are not rushed and you don't get the check dropped until you ask for it. Drinks and food was pretty quick. I had a glass of the montepulciano di abruzzo. The server gave good recommendations for my friend that was not familiar with Italian wines. She had the gnocchi and I had the homemade fettuccine with vodka sauce and procuitto. They were both so good and perfect serving size, petite, filling but not stuffed. Small place, dark ambience, music playing but not too loud to hear your own conversation. Got a table at 7pm for 2 with no reservation on a Wednesday night. Highly recommend. Can't wait to go back!

It's a great neighborhood wine bar. Low key. Get some charcuterie and some wine for a perfect start to a weekend. It's not particularly cheap but wine bars never are. There is both indoor and outdoor seating.

I almost don't want to review this place bc I love its low-key, hidden-gem vibe. This place was fantastic. It was simple and modest, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food was so good, we got the vodka and the bolognese pastas. Both were delicious, the pasta was clearly homemade and you could taste it. Perfectly cooked. I can't wait to come back here.

I just came here for wine after dinner but I'm definitely going to come back here for food next time because the it's not really good. I just got a glass of red wine which was really delicious. Service was also good. It was a bit chilly today so the server got us a heated which was nice. Stay tune for my next review about the food

What a neighborhood gem! We enjoyed the Prosciutto e Burrata, Fettucine alla Bolognese, and Fettuccine all Amatriciana. And, wow, the pastas were incredible. Awesome wine list as well. Highly recommend!

Quaint little place for happy hour or dinner. My friend and I met up here because I rarely make it out to this part of the city. As the name suggests, we had a few glasses of wine. The sommeliers were professional and helpful. I still remember the excellent customer service as I write this review. We also ordered a cheese board then realized Corks serves some tasty dishes for dinner, like squid ink spaghetti. Or at least that's what the menu made it sound like. Unfortunately we had to make it home to our respective significant others, who were already cooking for us. Oh well, next time. We sat by in the nook by the window. I like settling into tight spaces. Makes catching up (read: gossiping) feel more intimate. Love the romantic vibe of this place, especially with the candlelight. Perhaps I'll take my fiancé to Corks one of these days. He's not a wine drinker, but he appreciates good Italian food.

Went back after almost 3 years and still AMAZING!!! Wonderful small restaurant, perfect for dates as its very cozy and intimate. The food was OUTSTANDING and so was the service. Very friendly, warm and welcoming staff :) Ordered: Burrata and prosciutto just delicious came with warm tasty bread! Fettuccine all'Amatriciana and Tagliatelle al Cinghiale SO VERY DELICIOUS, like soooooooo very delicious!

This place is the absolute authentic Italian happy hour place! (Trust me, I'm an Italian looking for this place for years!) let's start from ambience: there is a chef making handmade pasta just in front of you, with authentic italia flour, machines and technique! The owner (Italian nice guy) goes around tables giving advices and suggestions on what to get! We had a prosciutto and burrata plate which was delicious and a tuna tartare with avocado! Yum! We also got a good bottle of wine which was not too expensive! Definitely a place to check out for pre dinner or even dinner, can't wait to try their home made pasta next time! I saw they have squash ravioli and mushroom ravioli and apparently they change the recipe all the time!

I hate yelp reviews that start with hyperbole--so let me say that this is the most european feeling little wine bar that you will ever experience outside of europe. Maybe overstated, but it is a divine little spot for excellent food and wine and great euro ambiance. The owner greets everyone with his Sicilian charm. He spoke to us in Spanish and went overboard to find the right wines for our palates.

We were looking for some authentic Italian food after returning from Florence. We found it! The Caprese, the regional wine choices, the Gnocci, and the Ravioli were top shelf. treat yourself to a great find and stop by.

The staff was very sweet. The setting was very romantic and very date night feel. The food was so delicious we ordered the boar pasta and I got the gnocchi pasta but asked for fettuccine noodles and they were able to accommodate. The wine that we asked to pair with the pasta was divine. I will be back especially for date night

Popped in here unplanned after eating dinner next door at Mandalay. What a cute, cozy, romantic spot. The music, the candles, and some of the walls lined with wooden wine boxes. Loved the atmosphere. My sister and I had wine recommended to us and it hit the mark. I'm not super familiar with Italian wines so we put our trust in the process. We also enjoyed the cheese plate. 5 different kinds and some nuts and pepper jelly. Delicious!! Also super attentive, polite service. We felt very taken care of. We will be back for sure!! I know where my next date night is.

How have I missed this place just down the street? Wow, what an excellent find. Great little Italian food menu, and very decent and affordable wine list. Try the burrata with prosciutto and the tuna tartare with olive oil and reduced balsamic vinegar. Quite impressive. Love the small, intimate ambaince. Service is friendly and knowledgeable and prices are right. Enjoy!

We went here to celebrate Valentine's Day with my boyfriend. We sat outside with the heaters and it was very cute. The pasta is fantastic, especially the prosciutto vodka. If you go you need to get it. The squid ink pasta was good but be aware it has a lot of crab! The wine was also delicious. Absolutely will go here again.
