"Situated on the ground level of the fairly newly-constructed Perennial Corktown housing development, this bar and gaming haven includes ample options for group hangs, including 80 self-service beer taps, seltzers, wine, and snacks from two distinct food vendors — 1834 Kitchen and Agave Lime. The 1834 menu includes specialties like double smash burgers, a Nashville hot chicken sandwich, pretzel bites, and other comfort foods, while Agave Lime leans in on Mexican flavors with a variety of tacos, build-your-own burritos, mango guacamole, and more. Invite the homies and take part in the various activities available in this space like duckpin bowling, darts, and trivia night." - Serena Maria Daniels

My wife and I found this place on TikTok and man did it live up to its expectations. The bowling was so fun! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The drinks are self pour which is such a great concept. The beer and wine were awesome! We got the nachos and they were huge and tasted amazing! This is a place you can bring your kids for some bowling / darts and some food. However I would say this establishment is more for adults. So if you do bring your kids do not expect it to be solely for the children (reading some of the other comments that what certain people expected which shows me most of you don't research and then leave bad reviews). This place was awesome and so much fun!

When in Detroit, you absolutely can’t miss the Agave and Limes Game Day Platter at Corktown Taphouse. This mouthwatering feast is a game changer, featuring crispy loaded potato skins, a savory vegetable quesadilla, golden Southwest egg rolls, zesty salsa, and so much more. It's the ultimate snack spread for any occasion, packed with bold flavors that will leave you craving every bite. Perfect for sharing (or not!), it's a must-try for anyone visiting the area."

This place is awesome. Plenty of drink options for everyone, the fun of pouring your own beers and getting to try lots of different options, and the food it great. Everything we have had food-wise was fresh and high quality. The owners are always working hard throughout the bar/restaurant and making everyone feel welcomed while ensuring they have a great time. Easily one of the best new places in Downtown/Corktown!

Corktown Taphouse is a must-visit! The duckpin bowling is a blast, perfect for groups or a casual night out. The self-pour taps offer a fantastic selection of craft beers, allowing you to sample and find your favorites. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is lively and welcoming. Highly recommended! The tacos and burgers are delicious too!!

Please don’t listen to the other comments saying it wasn’t open. My man and I were there for the opening. It was a PRIVATE event for those living in the building. The food was amazing. I got the shotgun shrimp, the smash burger, and their fries, two of each. Their fries are fried in Duck fat which makes it tastes superb. Our bill was around 95 dollars including a tip (mandatory min 15%-max 25%) They have darts and duck bowling. The music was great. Very clean in there and excellent service. The food is pricy but it is good.

Staff was top notch as was food and drinks. I love the wrist bands, pay $25 and then you scan for food and drinks...easy peasy. Manager kept checking on me. I was with my daughters and granddaughters but couldn't sit at high tops near the alley. No pics...as an adult, I ALWAYS eat dessert first. I had the brownie sundae that was phenomenal with lots of whip cream and cherries and chocolate chips. Was skeptical about fried mozzarella with hot honey drizzle, but it actually complimented cheese! My daughter's smash burger looked amazing and fries are really good.

This place is amazing! Staff was very knowledgeable, attentive and welcoming even as the night got busier. The owner seems to be involved and not above working right alongside his employees. Food was hot, well seasoned and delicious. And last but definitely not least, I cannot say enough how AWESOME it was to have a place where my 10 month old could get out some energy and play with some toys! It allowed us to stay for longer because he didn’t get bored/restless, and we were able to have an awesome night out with family. Will definitely be returning!

I visited this spot last night to celebrate a friend's birthday, and it was my first time there. I was a bit confused at first about the concept, but the staff was very helpful. You’re given a wristband that automatically deducts a $25 deposit, which you can use at the self-service stations to buy drinks. Anything you don’t spend is refunded, so I ended up spending just $20, and the remaining $5 was credited back to my account. I loved how the self-service stations show you how much you're spending as you go—it really helped me stay on budget. The checkout process was quick and easy: I went to the front desk, the guy told me my bill, and I handed over my wristband. Overall, it’s a cute and fun spot, and I highly recommend it!

Yelp
Wow what a great find while here for the car show. Fun for everyone! Half mile/walking distance from MGM Grand and Great selection of food, beer, wine, mixed drinks. A self-serve process and easy checkout. Duck pin lanes and entertainment area, fantastic live musicians and super helpful staff. New and clean. So glad we found it!

Yelp
Corktown has a great beer selection, as well as a full bar with delicious cocktails. The food is good. The environment is fun with live music at prime time and a great TV setup for watching games.

Yelp
We like to pre game in corktown. Parking is cheaper here and some of the local bars have shuttles. Or an Uber is only about $10. It's a win for us! We have been wanting to check out this location since we first saw the construction going on. What a great addition to Corktown. You walk in and get a wristband. Everything is done via this wristband. You connect a credit card to it and you're good to go. We have been to other taphouse, but this one was very unique. They feature a variety of beers, but also wine and ciders. Additionally, they have a full bar. So if you aren't in the mood for beer or wine you can choose from a variety of cocktails. They have two kitchens. One is Mexican and one is American. Their menu seemed pretty good. We got a Smash burger and mozzarella sticks. But the most popular item appears to be this massive portion of nachos! They have an area for board games with a couch if you want to get away from the bustle. They also have three duckpik lanes and a really cool electronic dart board. There are plenty of seats and lots of TV's to watch a few games. You can reserve an area for a designated amount of time through their website. We discussed having a birthday gathering here. There were plenty of staff ensuring dishes were cleared and you are having a great experience. We really enjoyed our time here. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Food was cool! Service was ok during peak Christmas party hours and the ambiance was fun!

Yelp
Ordered food, no notification. Had to check in and it "wasnt" My food. Went back 30 minutes later , and it WAS OURS. Food was cold. Wine tap added charges, that I did not approve. Place is a rip off. Expensive and poor service. Go elsewhere.

Yelp
They combined people's drinks on my bill!!! How in the world does that happen.. I am not the only one in this party it happened to!! I will never go there again!!! I never even went by the draft things to get beer! I had three drinks which was easy to remember and went to the bar every time! I will be contacting the better business bureau!!!

Yelp
We wanted to try this place out since the concept was really interesting and it looked nice online. Unfortunately, the execution was lacking. First of all, they were charging a $10 "fight cover fee" which is fine I guess, but they seemed over capacity inside making the cover fee seem like a scam. There was nowhere to sit and barely anywhere to stand. But again, we went on a Saturday so busy is fine. Second, when wanting to leave after only an hour or so, we asked the desk how to check out and where to put our wrist bands. She told us to go to the express checkout by the door. The express checkout had you place the wrist band in a bin with "automatic gratuity" of 15%, 20%, or 25%. What am I tipping for? Don't get me wrong, I always tip but I served myself my drinks and had to find my own area to sit/stand. The only contact we had with employees was check in and checkout. The other wrinkle to this is that we asked the desk how to check out and they directed us to the auto gratuity bins instead of helping us check out, essentially forcing the tipped option. If we tried again, we would go during the week, but I'm not sure this place will stay on our list.

Yelp
Nice concept but way overpriced. They have you get a wristband to buy the beer or wine yourself at taps along the walls which is charged by the ounce. Even if you don't order food, they force you to tip when you turn in your wristband when you leave. They add it to the tab on your credit card that you created when you arrive. We won't be back.

Yelp
Meh. Came here with our 3yo around 5:30pm in an extremely rainy/snowy Friday in January thinking we'd be able to eat, bowl, and she could play with some toys. When it first opened it was advertised as super kid friendly, so we were excited. Unfortunately, they got rid of the toy area and and the only games they had on offer were card games... on top of that we couldn't even try bowling because the entire place was booked up all night by a company event. They do have high chairs and the severs were very sweet. The food wasn't that good. My loaded quesadilla reminded me of Taco Bell (although you might love it if you like Taco Bell) and the cheese in the kids quesadilla wasn't even melted. The sauce on the mozzarella sticks was weirdly sweet, almost like sweet and sour sauce. To top it off, they were already out of ice cream for the fried Oreos. If you're looking for a chill spot for adults to drink and play some games this might be perfect. But I'd skip it if you're a parent hoping to bring young kids (there's nothing really here for them). Maybe kids over 10, just make sure you reserve the bowling ahead of time.

Yelp
Super busy on the weekend that we decided to leave after one drink. With A LOT of children around it creates a chaotic space. Not a place to hang out with friends. Difficult to move around and we didn't even inquire how to sign up to play duckpin bowling or darts. Dirty glasses left all over the side tables. "Express checkout" bracelet bins are 15/18/20% automatic tip applied according to which bin you drop your bracelet in. I decided to go back in line to do a custom tip because what am I tipping for? No glasses were picked up. Didn't try the food. The space was occupied by people lining up. Lines for bracelets. Lines for food. Wouldn't recommend, wouldn't be back.
