Had a similar experience as another patron that posted. Lloyd made it clear we’re not the type of guests he prefers. Cold, unwelcoming, and clearly uncomfortable with melanated folks. Wouldn’t recommend. Stay away.

Absolutely phenomenal! An odyssey of wine & cheese pairings, and a great and very approachable introduction to the intricate world of wine. Definitely exceeded our expectations. Lloyd was the perfect guide!

Had a fantastic experience! Went there as a group of 4 and had Lloyd take care of us. He educated us on wines, wine making, and wine tasting without being pretentious and was a pleasure to meet. This is some of the best wine I have ever tasted, and the prices are very fair! The tasting room itself is very well kept and clean. I highly recommend going if you’re in the area. I guarantee you won’t leave without buying a couple bottles for yourself! The couvee, personally selected and made by Lloyd was our favorite.

One my favorite places for wine tasting - especially if you have folks in your group that are new to wine. Lloyd and his team are great at wine education that is very approachable and inclusive. I have brought so many people here who have enjoyed themselves, enjoyed the wine, and walked away feeling inspired and more informed about wine tasting and food pairing. In addition to the great education, Corner 103 has fantastic wine and an incredible portfolio. There is always something for everyone. It is truly a great experience all around. Lloyd is a joy and the wines are top notch! Do the tasting and try something new! I bought a couple of bottles and would have gotten more if I had more room in my suitcase! I definitely can't wait to make the trek back to Corner 103 from Texas!

Corner 103 is fantastic, a must try! From my first visit, Lloyd, Brent, and Shaemus have always been warm and welcoming, with excellent wines paired with an approachable philosophy of wine tasting in a beautiful tasting room. I became a member during that first visit and have eagerly maintained it as my longest Sonoma/Napa wine club membership. I look forward to each visit with the Corner 103 team, whether bringing friends and family members to introduce them to the wines or when attending one of Lloyd's wonderful food pairing events. And of course, I also look forward to each quarterly wine release, as well as when I get to enjoy them at home!

Corner 103 is the place to be if you are in Sonoma! Located in the heart of it all in downtown Sonoma. When you meet the crew you will see how amazing they are! Lloyd put together a great staff Brent & Shaemus two guys who know their way around the wines, like the Cuvée, a bold blend, the Zinfandel, bursting with juicy fruit, and the Inspiration, a decadent red. No matter your preference, the staff will help you find the perfect bottle to enjoy. When you hit up corner 103 its more of an intimate vibe. Just a reminder they are reservations only so just don't try and slide in unannounced. Being a member adds another layer to the experience. Exclusive events and discounts make it a great way to deepen your love for wine and connect with fellow enthusiasts.. Overall, Corner 103 is a hidden gem in Sonoma. Corner 103 is an absolute MUST VISIT when you come to Sonoma! I came with my boyfriend and the founder Lloyd welcomed us in, and gave us one of the best tasting experiences we've ever had. The tasting room is beautiful - pristine, well-decorated, intimate, and great music playing at just the right volume. Lloyd walked us through his journey as a winemaker and his wines. The wine itself is unbelievable - so delicious and distinct. I will definitely be ordering their wine for future gifts and myself. Can't wait to come back and can't recommend Corner 103 enough!

I love it here. The wine is wonderful. The tasting experience is so good. They literally teach you how to drink wine. And that's basically all the time. When I was there, they served this little roasted duck in a graham cracker bite. And then with the wine. It's so good. Lloyd and Brent have been excelling in the tasting room experience for a while now. Shaemus is such a great addition to the team. The ambiance feels comfortable and upscale. It's so cool to enjoy a glass of incredible wine while looking out onto the Sonoma Square. If you are in Sonoma or are thinking of visiting, make this part of your day. You won't be disappointed.

Just finished a wine tasting hosted by Brent, the service was wonderful and the wines were great. It was a treat to bring my mother who is not huge into wine. She was impressed with the experience and walked away saying she felt so welcomed and not looked down for what she liked and didn't. The quaint tasting room is very comfortable, bright and modern. It was such a personalized wine tasting experience and I cannot wait to go back soon. If you're in the sonoma area, stop by Corner 103 for a wine tasting you won't forget.

It is rare that I go online and do a shut out however, I am compelled to do so after one great experience after another, it deserves the recognition. After eight years of living in Sonoma and belonging to multiple wine clubs, there isn't a club like Corner 103. With Lloyd and Brent providing an awesome experience, and education, they continue to exceed my expectations. It is the only recommendation I tell my guest is a "must go". Their wines are absolutely outstanding and at a reasonable price. Tasting at one of the top 10 tasting rooms in the United States is also hard to beat. If you're coming to Sonoma and you want a phenomenal experience, outstanding wines and visit one of the top 10 tasting rooms in the United States, then you too must make this a "must go". Cheers.

This is my favorite tasting room in all of California. Not only are the wines fantastic, with an amazingly wide selection, but the service and attention are second to none. Lloyd and Brent put so much thought and time into not just the wines they make, but also into your experience there. The tasting room is never crowded like so many other places, and this allows them to provide meaningful attention during your tasting. They know the wines so well, and can suggest excellent pairings for each varietal. Corner 103 wines are a go-to for many of my friends' gatherings. Every time I think I have a favorite, they come up with a new blend or varietal. If you like red blends, they always do an excellent job of putting together the perfect combination of grapes to come up with a smooth, delicious bottle. I highly recommend, you will not regret it!

I have NEVER had a bad experience at Corner 103. their wines top shelf at a reasonable price. The food pairing are a wonderful experience. I have been a member from day one and will be with Lloyd, Brent and now Seamus as long as they keep doing what they do best....when your a member you are in the CLUB! Holly P

Wow!! What a great wine tasting experience! First of all the tasting room is gorgeous and clean. I can't believe that I live a couple blocks from the tasting room and haven't been here before. Lloyd the owner was so nice and he sure does know what he is doing with his wines. We tasted 6 wines. Everything we tasted was so balanced. No heavy tannins, which is a big plus! My favorites were the Sparkling Rose, 2019 Corner Cuvée and the 2020 Pinot but honestly we loved everything so much that we joined the membership. 4 bottles 4 times a year and you are able to customize your selections if you don't want what is suggested for your pickup. I can't wait to come back and enjoy one of their food pairings that are available to members!

3.5/5 Came to visit as part of my birthday celebration on Saturday March 2nd. This is located right off the Sonoma downtown square which is nice because there are so many shops and boutiques to explore. My group selected the food and wine pairing tasting option, and since I reserved a table and prepaid for the reservation, upon arrival, our table was already partially set up which allowed us to be immediately seated, loved that. Séamas (James in Irish) was our taste guide - a really nice fella who was fully engaged and not at all intimidated by me and my girlfriends' jokes and giggles -- overall, the ambience in the room seemed more serious -- no music and very soft talking, kind of felt like we were in a library with booze, and at first, it felt odd to speak at all, I found myself whispering. Food pairings were wonderful - the winery works with a local caterer so the food items change periodically. We left with a bottle of cabernet sauvignon, pinot noir, and malbec. Sounds good right? The reason why this isn't rated higher is because the owner was there and spoke to EVERYONE in the room except our table. There were 3 of us ladies, then I counted literally 4 other couples -- the taste room is small so it's not like we were tucked away, and we were there for at least an hour and a half. Since there are so many wineries in this area, part of how I dwindled down the long list of options was by choosing to have my first wine tasting experience at a black owned business (the list really does dwindle down), so to know that Lloyd Davis was in the room but didn't make it a point to say hello was extremely disheartening. We didn't expect anything extra than what we were seeing others experience, which was a conversation or greeting by the owner. Even Seamus mentioned that he'd go get Lloyd to say hello to us (we didn't ask), so clearly, this is something Lloyd usually does. Wine and pairings are really good, ambience is a bit stiff if you tend to be a group who likes laughter and light heartedness, taste guide Seamus was AMAZING, owner ignored us.

Corner 103 is a hands down THE BEST winery in downtown Sonoma! Make a reservation and get ready to enjoy an amazing tasting experience! This isn't your average tasting room as you will get an educational experience while tasting 5 award winning wines. Lloyd was our host and was very welcoming. He shared his story of how he started in the wine industry​ and eventually opened Corner 103. Throughout the whole tasting experience,​ Lloyd was very passionate about his work, business and of course the wine too. A new glass was used for each tasting and was the correct type of glass for the wine we were trying. Lloyd insisted that to properly enjoy the wine you must have a fresh glass and the correct type of glass. It's very rare that I go to a wine tasting and love each wine I taste and I can absolutely​ say that I enjoyed every wine at Corner 103. They feature the best wines from some of the best vineyards in the area.

We love love this place. Our host Brent was a joy to chat with about all things wine and Wine country. This winery was unique in wine production. Wine tasting. Wine selling and much more. We tasted 5 different wines of our choice and had a blast doing it. The prices are reasonable for amazing and great wines. Their club membership is totally manageable for all people. Our to go to place from now on. Go and enjoy the wine and the hospitality.

I love it at Corner 103. Typically, I don't drink wine, so my first time at Corner 103 was a great experience. The Hostest with the mostest Brent was very attentive to me being that it has been a long time at a wine tasting venue. I'll definitely be back with more friends and family.

Lisa and I both took leave from work today to support this Black Owned business. We called in advance to make our reservation and they were kind enough to give us a courtesy call the day before our appointment to alert us to the air quality, as a result of wind carrying ash from the wildfires. Since the Sonoma Wine Tasting was going to be seated outside, per covid rules, we were given the option to reschedule. We were both excited so we kept the reservation and wouldn't you know it, the skies were clear and it wasn't dusty at all :) We were warmly greeted by the owner, Lloyd Davis and he escorted us to our table. Lloyd explained everything we needed to know about the five selections. It was helpful to hear the food items he enjoys pairing them with. They are ALL award winning wines and it was such a wonderful experience. Hands down, our favorite was the Signature Corner Cuvee :) Each of us took one home! Thank you again Lloyd, we had a magnificent time!

Corner 103 is hands down the Best wine Tasting experience around! The owner Lloyd Davis is awesome! He is very knowledgeable and explains each wine thoroughly. Lloyd's wines are absolutely delicious! He has reds and whites. Before I visited corner 103 I preferred red wine only. After I visited I became a Corner 103 red and white wine Lover. I visit Corner 103 every time I visit Sonoma. If you enjoy wine you need to experience Corner 103. You will not be disappointed.

Great experience tasting several different wines with the help of Brent. The atmosphere is low-key, decor is modern but not stuffy. Great location as well! Brent was attentive and very helpful in guiding our selections They offer a wonderful array of wines from sparkling all the way to Petit Verdot. Our favorite was the 2019 Syrah. Wonderful place to visit before or after lunch in Sonoma.

The wine and food pairing was the best I have ever experienced and I am surrounded by my home in Russian River by 147 wineries! Lloyd was our host and we enjoyed the detailed discussions about our reaction to every taste, fragrance and sip of wine Especially the very carefully selected and prepared items to complement the six different varietals of wine we experience! Enjoyable tasting room experience. Husband and I chose this as one of our picks for tasting rooms during our California wine country honeymoon. This is a great place to stop after leisurely perusing the stores and sights in the picturesque downtown Sonoma square. We booked a tasting online and were greeted by Brent, who guided our tasting experience. Bonus points for being a Black-founded company, which I had no idea until we learned about the history of Corner 103. I appreciate that the philosophy behind the wines is to create an approachable, drinkable, versatile wine journey. We found each of the wines so enjoyable, from a fun bubbly to a deep red- and the room was so beautiful, with panes of glass all the way around. Would visit again!

My husband booked a wine tasting here for us and it was a great experience. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. You are walked through a wine tasting of 5 wines. You can. Ick your tasting from the p options. The store is right in the beard of town and very comfortable with couches. Definitely a nice stopmof your birthday one tasting tour.

It's easy to see why this tasting room has 5 stars - Lloyd! He is a true master of his craft and provides a solid wine education in an upscale yet unintimidating environment. The 1 on 1 guidance we received through our tasting was like none other that we had experienced. The true passion and love of wine exude from each bottle that we tasted. When in the area, this is certainly a must do!

You will never have a wine tasting experience quite like this. After grabbing some lunch in the square, a couple friends suggested we go to Corner 103 which they have previously raved about. Luckily, Lloyd was able to accommodate our party of 7 spontaneously. What a wonderful educator. He picks his own grapes and creates all of his wines meticulously. It was interesting to learn his story being in the hedge fund business for many years and transitioning into the wine industry. He explained to our group why he uses different glasses for every wine he serves and never reuses the same ones during the tastings. Every wine I tried had its own character, they were all devine. My favorites were the 2014 Corner Cuvée which is a nice bubbly, 2014 Grenache, 2013 Cabernet Franc, and the 2014 Petit Sarah. I can't wait to come back soon for the popular food and wine pairing experience.

We started our trip to Sonoma with a tasting at Corner 103 and it is the highlight of our 6 day stay. We had the opportunity to taste 6+ different wines - each with an overview and explanation of the glass used and approach to tasting. The wines were excellent. Lloyd was a gracious and very informative host and we have applied his teachings to the other tastings we have enjoyed here. Corner 103 wines are as good / or better than some of the higher price point wines (& tastings) we have tasted here. We are now at day 4 and still talking about the excellent wines and experience we enjoyed with Lloyd at Corner 103.

There is a reason why this place gets such high ratings! Sure the wine is delicious, but you can get great wine all over wine country. What sets Corner 103 apart from the rest is that this tasting room is beautiful. The wine is served in the glass that is designed for each specific varietal. And the service is spectacular. I was lucky enough to have the winemaker Lloyd serve the tasting. I am sure the next time I go back I will join the wine club. My fav was the sparkling wine. It was delicious!

We just had ANOTHER wonderful experience at Corner 103! Our group was so very impressed with what we shared with them here. Our host Brent was his usual charming, informative, and encouraging self as he walked our group through Corner 103's latest releases, accompanied by local cheeses, and their own sidekicks. Make an appointment (done easily on line), and come prepared to enjoy an afternoon of wonderful wines and discovery... Not to mention the experiences you'll take home in bottle form.

Fantastic new find in Sonoma. Come to wine country every year and stay in Sonoma as much nicer than commercialized Napa. Corner 103 was a great find, fairly new, classy place without bradzillas ruining your wine tasting experience. I find their wines very good (reds). We truly enjoyed our host and after purchasing few bottles, we plan to return next year.

We made an appointment for a tasting, but got more than just a tasting (that's your best bet here, because they are in demand). We got a wondrous tour of the wine country from the comfort of our leather chairs. Corner 103 manages to be, at once, fine wine in a nicely appointed setting, coupled with a knowledgeable yet unpretentious wine education. There are many things to see here with your taste buds. At Corner 103 we felt comfortable, un-rushed, and encouraged to appreciate what it was that we tasted in the wine. Close your eyes as you are tasting and see the colors of the world. Both Lloyd and Brent are so very well versed in their craft that you are amazed at how much more that you can experience than you have ever experienced before just standing at a wine bar, somewhere else, being steered by some wine sales person. Each selection was unique, the wine varietals are, well, varied and the craftsmanship quite palpable. If you want to experience high-quality wines in a focussed environment where you can ask questions and learn what it is that goes into the wines you love then come to Corner 103. My favorites are their sparking wines, especially their sparkling rose'. We share it at get-togethers with special friends and they never let us open just one bottle. The wines here are truly unique. My best advise: Put together a group of 6 or 8 and have a private food/wine pairing event. We did this one day, in the mid-afternoon, as a precursor for dinner on the Sonoma Square. It was huge hit. Our friends shipped their wines home and we took ours then and there. We even took a couple to dinner. What a day! At Corner 103 every year is a new adventure in wine, so you do not always see the same varietals year to year, and that's just one of the things that make Corner 103 special. If you love a wine, then get it while you can. Their productions are limited and, as we found out, they often sell out quickly, (many times they sell out with the club release).

This was one of our many stops tasting for our 25th anniversary. First of all the tasting room really is beautiful. The seating is comfortable and the host was knowledgeable and friendly. The wine was great! That's why we bought so many bottles. That being said, we've been to many many wineries and tasting rooms all over the west coast and in every single one when you buy wine, usually 2 bottles, your tasting fee is waived. Not here. After buying 6 bottles we didn't get our fee waived. That's just bad policy. I forgot I paid the fee in advance a few days before. So after I remembered I tried to get me fee back. It didn't happen. There really isn't any incentive to buy wine here unless you already know what the wine tastes like or your a member.

Corner 103 was founded by Lloyd Davis as a result of his passion for wine and recognizing that most people are intimidated by it. This is a quote from Lloyd, And it's so true for a great many years I had never really done any tastings and certainly not on my own, I was intimidated and didn't want to be embarrassed but there's no need especially here at Corner 103, Ive long since gotten over that intimidation thing lol, I recently had the extreme pleasure of doing a private tasting with several friends and Lloyd had us in the palm of his hand, when he speaks about his beloved wines and how each one is expertly crafted and his thought process is to sculpt in minute detail from the region of these grapes, color, taste beginning to end including each glass of wine must be served in the not only appropriate glass but the glass that allows it to be shown in its optimal light! My friends and myself were absolutely riveted while he explained each of his incredible wines and a brilliant champagne which was perfection. We have plans to go back to do the food and wine tasting ooooh yes please!! I am so excited to go back ASAP P.S. I walked out with 6 bottles Cheers my friends SYOY

This tasting room is amazing. For COVID they have a socially distanced quaint set up outdoors. This is our second visit. We came here with my fiancée 3 months ago and had to come back for the sparkling Rose! Lloyd is so knowledgeable and does a great job talking through the tasting notes. My fave winery!!

Corner 103 was a great winery and Lloyd was an absolutely great sommelier! So approachable and eager to share his love of wine with my husband and I. Glasses were brought out slowly to truly enjoy an experience of slow and intentional wine tasting. We appreciated his knowledge and had a pleasant experience. Thanks Lloyd, we'll be back! Amazing winery and wines. Worth the visit. We visited this winery at a friend's suggestion. The owner, Lloyd and his staff provided an outstanding wine tasting experience . My friend fell in love with the Chardonnay and we all loved the Zinfandel and the Cabernet, all wines winning several Gold and Silver Medals. The biggest surprise was the Malbec, a wine I typically do not enjoy. This wine was smooth, jammy and full bodied. We really enjoyed our time and experience purchasing several bottles and joining their wine club. Definitely worth the visit...

Class act of a wine experience. Lloyd and Brent make every experience special and educational. A great place to take out-of-town guests for an intimate, thoughtful wine tasting experience that will expand one's palate (of the mind and mouth) regarding wine knowledge and food pairings. We had a lovely time at corner 103. Lloyd is such a wonderful host and educator. They make you feel comfortable and welcome and free to ask questions. The wines were delicious and we will definitely be coming back next time we are in Sonoma.

I don't say this lightly when I call Corner 103 the ultimate hidden gem of downtown Sonoma. An unassuming but very sleek and modern wine tasting room with some of the boldest and richest wines in the Sonoma Valley. Founded and operated by Lloyd Davis, who began as a financier in New York City but fell in love with the art of wine-making as we should all hope to do one day. Lloyd wants his guests to know that they are the wine experts because only they can decide what wines they like and what wines they don't like. We came on a Sunday afternoon with a group of Yelp friends after having lunch together at a nearby cafe and one of us Yelpers was a huge wine connoisseur and we asked for his best recommendation of where to sample the best wines and he instantly recommended Corner 103 because of their extraordinary customer service and their special wines. Opened in 2015, Lloyd grows many of his wines from a vineyard that's about fifteen miles away from his tasting room. Although it is open by private reservation only, Lloyd was nice enough to open it up to our party of eight people at the very last minute thanks to James, the aforementioned wine connoisseur talking him into it. What is unique about Corner 103, is that Lloyd serves all of his wine in the appropriate wine glass, which are all different, and no doubt take hours to clean each and every day. They also have wines that nobody else in the region has because he needs to keep his wine club members engaged. The work he puts into his wine shows up in every sip. We started with the 2014 Corner Cuvee, appropriately served in a cuvee glass, it was the perfect sparkling wine to start our tasting with, second came the 2016 Viognier which was very crisp and refreshing, we also sipped on the 2014 Grenache, followed by my favorite the 2013 Tempranillo, in addition to the 2013 Cabernet Franc, which was smooth and oakey, with the 2014 Petit Sirah bringing up the rear, and had a nice dark fruit flavor to it. We learned so much during this tasting experience from the differences in your wine glass and how that affects the flavor of the wine when it hits your tongue, to the type of berries he likes to use that enhance the flavor of his wines, to even good wine etiquette such as smelling it correctly and volatilize your wine in your glass the right way before you sip it. It turns out this can take you from not loving a glass of wine to really liking it by changing the flavor profile of wine. Who knew? This once in a lifetime experience made me want to return almost immediately, especially since they have a food and wine experience with catered food on certain evenings. This impromptu wine tasting made me thankful that I was in the best place in the world sipping on some of the best wines I've ever tasted. Even though we weren't members, Lloyd was nice enough to give members in our party a wine member discount so I bought two bottles of the Tempranillo and the Grenache. Through his wine, I can see how Lloyd became so passionate about the wine he sells and pours every day. I am so thankful I could see and taste his wine through the lens of such a passionate and thoughtful wine maker.

But before you think you can just walk in off the streets and do a wine tasting or food and wine pairing, let me just say you need to make an appointment especially when it comes to the food & wine pairing as these take time to prepare. Our gracious host & owner of Corner 103, Lloyd, walked our group of 8 through his beginnings, how he got into the wine business and how he started Corner 103. Just listening to Lloyd talk about the grape varieties, how he picks his grapes from 14 Sonoma County properties with the exception of one being from Mendocino County, you can just hear the passion in his voice, the passion that he has for his wines that he is conveying to you while you are enjoying your tasting experience. And, unlike other tasting rooms, Lloyd does not serve each variety of wine in the same glass. As he stated to our group, each wine needs to be in the proper glass in order to truly experience the tasting from the bouquet to the flavors. I mean, would you serve sparkling wine in a Bordeaux glass instead of a flute or champagne glass, or a Cabernet Franc in a Guinness glass? No you wouldn't and that is why Lloyd serves each of his wines in the appropriate glass, to enhance your tasting experience. The tasting room has a couch with a table & chairs all around for one tasting area, and then towards the windows they have small and large tables with chairs which are perfect for the food & wine pairing. The tasting room has a very relaxed atmosphere so you don't feel pressured, and prices for the wines is very reasonable On this day we tasted 6 wines. First was the 2014 Corner Cuvée which was a nice sparkling wine, 2016 Viognier, 2014 Grenache, 2013 Tempranillo (I have never heard of Tempranillo until this day), 2013 Cabernet Franc and a 2014 Petit Sirah. All of these were unique in their own way. I have to say my favorites were the 2016 Viognier, though I loved them all. Our group agreed that we want to come back to experience the food & wine pairing. Hoping it will be soon as I can't wait!

If you want to learn about wines or just enjoy some very unique and tasty wines, then start with Corner 103! I've been visiting wine country for a few years, and I learned more about winemaking in 1 hour here than all the other trips combined. And did I mention their wines are outstanding? This will be a regular stop when we come back! Great place for a beginner wine taster or someone with experience!

The husband and I had an entire afternoon open and did not know how to fill our last day while visiting Northern California. We had spent a couple of days wine tasting and decided to explore a different area than where our hotel was. I am so glad that we did. We came across this winery by chance. We googled wineries in Sonoma and this one popped right up! However, reviews had said we needed an appointment. So the husband called and left a message. Within minutes, Lloyd returned his call and was able to book us. Upon arriving, Brent had set up a small table out on the sidewalk where we were able to see the action of the street and city center. The whole vibe is reminiscent of Europe where the cafes set up outside and people are friendly and laidback. The tasting itself was incredible, to say the least. We tasted such wonderful wines but I was most surprised that I enjoyed most, the wines I tend to stay away from. The cuvée was delicious, btw. I recommend anyone making a trip to Corner 103! The whole experience will not disappoint and the company will definitely entertain!

Corner 103 delivers one of the best tasting experiences ever. The Sonoma food and wine tasting experience ($50 per person) pairs various wines from Corner 103 with a selection of locally sourced bites. Prepare to have your taste and olfactory senses amazed as Lloyd personally takes you the myriad of interesting wine/food pairings. Having studied (and drank) wine for a long time, I thought there was little to be learned. Wrong I was!! Thanks for the taste revelations, Lloyd!! Note: tastings are by reservation only.
