The Best Restaurants in Flushing’s Chinatown | Eater NY

"If you grew up in Flushing, you went to Corner 28. Sure, that’s an exaggeration, but Corner 28 did establish the local benchmark for roast meat, and it was once home to the famous $1 Peking duck bun. Its location has jumped around the neighborhood, but always prevailed at making a show of its tender and sweet roast duck and pork hanging in the window. To buy: Order with the staff, take the ticket to the cashier, purchase with cash only, and then take the receipt for pick-up. There’s hidden, limited seating in the back. As for the Peking duck buns, they’ve moved to the dim sum stalls at sister restaurant, Shanghai You Garden." - Caroline Shin

Google
A Cantonese-style roast meats platter and water for under $10 in Flushing! On my most recent visit, I got a platter of roast duck over rice + cabbage. The skin is crispy, and the meat is well-seasoned, tender, and lean, which is how duck’s supposed to be. It’s $10 on the menu, but if you pay in cash, you get a 20% discount (tax not included). That 20% discount goes for all the stuff on their menu. Most people come to Corner 28 for their roast meats section and it’ll definitely fill you up. There's a wide selection of roast meats and you know it's legit when you see them all hanging on the window, fresh and glistening with a bright light behind it Growing up, Corner 28 actually used to be located on the corner, just down the block. When I was younger I used to visit here quite often to get a filling meal of meats, vegetables, and carbs all in one platter for a very affordable price. They also used to give soup instead of a water bottle! Corner 28 (135-24 40th Rd, Flushing, NY 11354) Open daily 8am-8pm

You know it’s good roast duck when you walk up to the window and there are cooked ducks hanging in the window! Atmosphere is liking simply because it’s really grab and go versus. Enjoy it on site. Only reason for the four stars on the food is the fact that the duck is cold or room temperature. However, the flavor is delicious! Classic roast duck with no frills.

Google
This small eatery offers a surprisingly diverse selection of Chinese street food from both the northern and southern regions. After a recent renovation, they’ve expanded their menu beyond their signature Cantonese roast meats to include northern Chinese specialties like jianbing guozi and kao leng mian. Jianbing guozi is a popular Chinese breakfast item that resembles a crepe but is packed with flavorful toppings and sauces, making it incredibly satisfying. Kao leng mian, a northern Chinese street snack that is rare in the U.S. and even harder to find prepared authentically, is done exceptionally well here. Their Cantonese-style roast meats remain as excellent as ever—fresh, flavorful, and fairly priced. The only downside is the limited dine-in space, but it’s perfect for takeout. Highly recommended!

After a long morning of hard work, I was starving and decided to try the chicken and BBQ pork over rice at Comer 28. For under $10, the portion was generous and the flavors were amazing! The tender chicken and smoky BBQ pork paired perfectly with fluffy rice that soaked up all the delicious juices. This meal hit the spot and left me completely satisfied. Highly recommend!

Google
Got some roasted pork over rice to go here and it was a really good deal. For just $9 you get a meal with a generous amount of meat and rice with some chinese cabbage. They also gave a water bottle for free which was unexpected but grateful for.

Google
Meat tastes good, and roast pork was decent (though a bit dry). However, they definitely skimped on the roast duck over rice - in the picture circled is the largest piece of duck meat I received, rest was even smaller pieces and all bone or fat. Seeing other reviews where they stole breast/leg meat from customers ordering half ducks, makes me wonder what they’re saving the meatier pieces for.

Paul Lo

Google
What a great value - 3 meat choices over rice, veg, plus a bottle of water for only $12 or discounted by 20% for only $10 if paid in cash, plus tax. I asked for soy sauce chicken, roast pork, and roast duck but they mixed up my order and gave me BBQ pork instead of the chicken, and I had leftovers even after missing lunch that day. The duck is on the thinner side but the bbq pork and roast pork were meaty and very juicy. Chinese BBQ is sweet, note that if you opt for it. There is a lot of rice that comes with this plate so this plate will fill up most everyone. The amount of vegetables could be more generous but let's admit it, you are going there for the Chinese BBQ meats. This is a value meal for a hearty lunch or dinner, so much better than fast food!

Google
Keepin it real out here in Flushing Is it the bestest roast meat? no But it's an establishment, also not really cause they had to move, but its old school, its been around, its consistent, its affordable, checks all the boxes you can expect from a roast meat place

Yelp
I used to come here all the time for the duck buns. RIP Now I come here to pick up the char Siu, but I think they changed owners awhile back. But still come here to do a pick up for my friend. I hope they renovate inside, because it's always such a clusterf*** getting in and out of here. Very claustrophobic.

Yelp
Believe me, I've tried a bunch of Chinese sam bo fans (3 meats over rice) in Flushing, and this has been the best I've had. They were running some sort of promotion when we went, where they not only discounted the items, but they also gave us bottled water? What a deal! Cash only. The meat quality was the best I've seen. Well prepped in flavor, well cut, tender, and large pieces! They even give yu choy, compared to the usual cabbage. This was everything I can ask for. If you're ever craving like me, Corner 28 will satisfy.

Yelp
My go-to for barbecue meats in Flushing. Delicious: succulent, richly flavored, and beautiful in its humble packaging. The roast pork (cha siu) and roast duck both received rave reviews from my older generation Chinese relatives. They offer huge portions for unbelievable prices, like $7.84 cash for a cha siu rice box with veggies that lasts two meals. Or $20 for half duck and $14/lb for pork. It's a takeout counter with the usual Flushing payment system: order with the first lady near the butchers to get a ticket; pay cash at the cashier in the back; exchange your stamped ticket for your box of goodies in the middle. It helps to know some Chinese; apologies to those who don't.
google avatar

Alvin Z.

Yelp
Heard a lot about this and it was actually pretty good. The roasted pork was juicy and the skin was crispy. The duck was juicy too. The charisiu was just okay to be and I don't really like Chinese broccoli. Overall, this place was good and they take cash only I think. The service was good and everyone was nice. It's a small shop so takeaway is the idea.
google avatar

Ming K.

Yelp
Worth, $7.75 I love this char siu rice. Huge portion, I can't even finish. Order and get receipt to pay at cashier.
google avatar

Alice K.

Yelp
This place has been around for years and has the best Chinese bbq in Flushing! Excellent quality control - meats are consistently juicy and tasty. The San Bao Fan (3 meats over rice) comes with bok choy instead of the standard cabbage. Fun fact: originally located on the corner (hence the name) then moved down the block.
google avatar

Ruben N.

Yelp
One of the best of many. Food was delicious. Very efficient and friendly. Price is very agreeable Definitely a new favorite place I recommend their BBQ over rice. Superrrrrrr
google avatar

Cee V.

Yelp
I stopped by this little shop for bbq pork on rice. It was delicious and tender. For the price of $8, I would make this a routine food stop if I lived in the area.
google avatar

Riki J.

Yelp
Best spot in flushing for Chinese BBQ and the best prices! For less than $8 you can get one meat over rice which comes with some bok choy, your choice of protein, a ton of rice and a bottle of water. I've tried their pork ribs, crispy pork and duck and they were all great. Crispy pork is my favorite, the skin is so crunchy. They don't always give you the ginger oil, ask for it!! It's so good and goes well with the meal. The menu is in English. And in my experience over the last year, the person taking the orders and cashier both spoke English which was super convenient. You order with the person near the door. They ring you up a receipt and you take that to the counter and pay there (cash only). Once you pay, they stamp your receipt which you take back to the first person to confirm your order. Small shop with no seating, everything is to go. My pork was still crispy after a 30min commute.

Yelp
Pretty solid Chinese bbq. The plates have a decent amount of meat. The roast pork was my favorite one.

Yelp
Best Peking Duck Buns! I was here for one thing and one thing only. The Peking Duck Buns are what they are best known for and that's what I got. Over the years, Corner 28 has changed locations and costs have gone up but the taste of the Peking Duck buns might even be better. For $2.50 I got one pillowy soft cradle bun for a meaty, tender, juicy slice of skin on roast duck addressed lightly, but properly with a scallion and cucumber julienne, along with a slight hit of a hoisin based sauce. This isn't a snack for those that are on a health watch, but for those that can partake in a nice juicy, albeit a little fatty (maybe a slight under exaggeration there, haha) piece of duck, well then you have one (or two) glorious bite waiting for you. This has been and continues to be, one of Flushing's best bites.
google avatar

Oliver S.

Yelp
Yes, I went here because of a certain YouTuber- even the man taking my order knew. He even told me what he ordered so I didn't even have to speak too much. I enjoyed it- pics to prove it too

Chris L.

Yelp
Took out on our way to home in Boston. Smell was so good we could not wait to get home. We ended up eating some on the road. Bbq pork, chicken, duck over rice was delish. Make sure to ask for the ginger sauce. Service was great also.
google avatar

Huan C.

Yelp
This is the most famous roast duck spot in Flushing. I been eating here since childhood. Everybody I know have eaten here. It is the standard that we have established internally what is good/decent roast duck/pork. They have promotions from time to time. Costs have gotten up. It is now $38 for a whole duck. You can't go wrong eating here, but this is the borderline a landmark of flushing. Service/Ordering Process - You tell the counter what you want. She prints you a ticket. You go to the cashier to pay. They stamp the ticket. Then you bring back to the original counter who is holding your food. This process made sense at one point, but it seems quite inefficient these days.

Yelp
Updated 9/22/23. The roast meet area has returned full service taking over the right hand corner of the store. Hooray! Except I was looking for the dim sum station that has been there all along until recently. But I am happy to find the place is back. Ignore the pink notice of where it moved to Brooklyn. The Dim sum place actually moved across the street near the Peking Duck bun for 2.50. Part of the Shanghai You Garden Restaurant. I got my Har Gow and Lotus wrapped sticky rice chicken bundle. Very happy. .
google avatar

Hank C.

Yelp
They have reopened! The duck is now $33.10 with a discount because of reopening. The same great quality duck, we missed you! Also good fried crullers beside the duck stall. Cash only inside, though, so don't forget! Service is quick and you can get it whole or cut. Lots of different other Cantonese BBQ meats, but no free cha shao pork this time (because of the discount I think). Good luck wings.
google avatar

Marina C.

Yelp
I bought a pound of char siu from this place and my usual place in Flushing. This was much leaner. I told everyone to choose which one they prefer and most chose the other place. L chose Corner 28 since it was a bit sweeter but I could've asked for a fattier cut and perhaps that might have swayed everyone else. It was good but I'll stick to my usual since they also have other Chinese food. The place is a bit small and there wasn't many stalls open inside but the pork was good.. Wait wasn't too bad. They have the same odd payment system as this other place in Elmhurst so we're familiar... Its annoying but whatever works for them.
google avatar

Steven W.

Yelp
We wanted to try the three meat delight rice box and that is exactly what we did. I ordered the duck, roast pork, and pork belly with rice. Very filling, very fresh, and absolutely delicious. The pork belly skin was crispy. The roast pork was juicy. Duck was slightly fattening but that's duck. Very delicious and reasonable priced as well. They do not have any seating, it is more of a take out situation.
google avatar

Linda W.

Yelp
Reopened this week at the same location. It looks exactly the same except prices have skyrocketed. Right now there is a grand opening promotion for 20% off, not sure until when. The roast pork is not as tasty as before, but doable. The chicken wings are still slamming. The service is the same as before. Walk in order, then walk to the back and pay. Of course it's CASH ONLY. The layout and look is exactly the same as before. Must be a new guy cutting the roast pork because slices are uneven. I like it thinly slices, but there were a lot of thick slices. I will come again because it's still better than other roast pork places in Flushing.
google avatar

Kim K.

Yelp
Interesting noodle roll ups! From a vegetarian perspective the right side of the space with all the roast pork and meat options are purely decorative. The dim sum posters are deceiving because they don't actually serve dim sum there anymore- there is a smaller sign telling you this and driving you to their new dim sum service a little further east across the street. However, pivoting to the left is a woman pouring crepe batter and filling with an assortment of options. What would go for 2-3x what they charge here (ranges depending on ingredients selected) at something like smorgasborg is a creative noodle etc roll-up that is halved and stuffed in a little bag. This double decker sandwich is a utensil free delight. Great affordable, filling eats.
google avatar

Catherine Y.

Yelp
I have to admit that the roast pork over rice is a great deal! Two portions for $15, and they are large portions. Unfortunately, the roast pork is usually too dry and lean for my taste and there isn't enough soy sauce for the rice. There are parts that are fattier, but not well marbled, just chunks of fat that are really not edible. If you want a cheap meal, it's a definite go. They even give you a bottle of water with every lunch. But if you're looking for quality, you may want to keep looking. On the other hand, I've only tried the soy sauce chicken and roast pork. So their other roasted items could be much better, but I haven't tried them yet. Side note - their duck feet is very flavorful and very inexpensive compared to other places.
google avatar

Michael L.

Yelp
Confusing services to tourists. There was no seating nor other stands open for dim sum, congee nor sushi. The area in back was closed. I was happy to find the takeout BBQ open. Order with the first lady, then pay cash at the register. Patience required. Peking Duck Sandwich stall is not here.
google avatar

kristin c.

Yelp
3.5 Lucky to find parking in this area so got to walk around. Few tiny food/dessert to go to next time but the roast ducks at the window caught our attention. I think they closed before but now open but layout still the same. Few stalls inside. Pay at the cashier in the back and show receipt to get your order. $20 for half duck, $14/lb for roast pig. Yesterday there was 20% off. Duck was good and filled the container. Crunchy skin on the pork, meat was moist. Sticky rice with chicken was an ok snack with chinese sausage too.
google avatar

Phuong D.

Yelp
This is a no frills restaurant that's good for take out. This review for the Chinese BBQ part since I haven't tried other types of food in the same store. I got pig ears, pork hock and char siu. The prices are reasonable and they all taste good. The pig ears and pork hock are a little too salty and char siu is mostly meaty but I tend to prefer more fatty meat, but this is personal preference. Service was pretty quick. They have a weird payment system where I tell them what I want, they print out a ticket, then I take the ticket to a different person to pay, got the receipt and then pick up the items. It feels pretty redundant but no skin off my back. I came around lunch time on a weekday so the char siu was 20% off, but the pig ears and pork hock aren't (because they were prepackaged and I got them from a fridge on the side). Apparently the roast duck is also good here and I didnt get to try it this time. I will likely come back and try that out.
google avatar

Louis N.

Yelp
I always come here for Char-siu and Roast Pork whenever I visit Flushing. The BBQ sauce carries that sweet taste from honey which makes the tender pork delicious.
google avatar

Sulin S.

Yelp
Yummy food with a free gift for either soup dumpling or peking duck bun per table. At the end, we ere surprise with a free dessert. The Dim Sum items tasted so great
google avatar

Yelp
An establishment does not need to fancy to serve great food efficiently. Corner 28 sells traditional Chinese BBQ by weight or by dinner/lunch boxes. As soon as you walk in, there's an employee at the counter to take your order and they hand you a receipt to pay at the cashier. Something to note is that they only take cash, which is typical for most places in Flushing. As soon as I paid, my BBQ pork and roast duck combo was ready in less than a minute. It was neatly packed with water bottle. The dinner itself was very flavorful and a decent portion for about $9. The staff were friendly and worked fast paced. Will be back for a grab and go meal!

katelyn ..

Yelp
Does not follow instructions. T hey even confirm that with you before they cut it. Ask for fattier cuts and it's all lean. Why give you an option and then do the opposite. The meat is very dry. We are not coming back.
google avatar

Anna L.

Yelp
Corner 28 is the main stall located in a cramp shop. In the front, they sell BBQ Chinese meats and in the back they have dimsum dishes. The employees are not fluent in English. To order the meats, tell the ladies in the front what you want. They'll give you a receipt which you have to bring to the cashier in the middle of the shop to pay and verify. Then hand you receipt back to the ladies. Cash only. They used to sell peking duck buns but that is no more. I ordered a roast duck, however it was a bit of a disappointment. The color of the duck skin was dull and not the nice golden color it usually has. There also wasn't much meat, too bony. Not sure if they gave me an old duck instead of a fresh one since I went in the morning. Will get my duck from somewhere else next time.
google avatar

Joannah Y.

Yelp
For starters, I took away one star because there is no more 2nd floor seating area. The only seating area comprises of 2 small tables that can seat only 4 people beside freezers and a passageway to the places back storage. It would give you the "I think not" feeling lol. I would've loved to have eaten there as the place has a lot to offer in terms of entrees. The area is accessible via Metro as street parking is hard. If you're driving, there is a parking place slightly across from Corner 28. I paid $12 for 3 hours. Now to the review, the food is still delicious as ever. For roasted items, the price is reasonable and I was given an extra 20% of which sweetened the deal. If you want authentic Chinese food, this is the place to go. They have everything even sushi! Don't miss the chicken wings from the roasted items place, it's very very very good.
google avatar

Joe D.

Yelp
Food is off charts for duck ribs and pork belly you can't miss here ,I would give a 5 out of 5 best Chinese in Flushing,
google avatar

Tsz-Cheong C.

Yelp
I only go here for the barbecue meats and cuttlefish. So far I have never been disappointed as the meats are always seasoned perfectly never ever being too sweet or salty but balanced right in the middle. The barbecue moves pretty quickly so you know everything is pretty fresh. They do make rice containers with different cuts of meat which is always delicious especially when they drop a heaping ladle of barbecue drippings in the container. Your heart might skip a beat but everything in moderation is ok.
google avatar

Mari T.

Yelp
Very disappointing...This was my favorite place to pick up roasted pork and chicken in Flushing. But they stopped selling roasted meat. I went there yesterday hoping to buy my usual order with my friend. They said they don't sell those anymore. They barely have anything except limited dim sum which is meh to me. The only meat that was hanging was roasted ducks. I assumed they only sell ducks now. I don't even see the meat choppers there anymore as well. My friend and I went somewhere else to pick up roasted pork instead.
google avatar

Sadia H.

Yelp
I've been eagerly waiting for this place to open up, and now it's got this outdoor set up which is nice but they only serve a handful of variety, and not my faves like the rice rolls or chive dumplings. It's better than nothing but I'd wish they would add more to their selection. Maybe with time. Happy Yelping!
google avatar

Jeannie T.

Yelp
This is my go to hub for fast Chinese BBQ meats and side dishes. Normally this place is bustling and filled with all kinds of delicious aromas. However, during this Pandemic, half of the joint is closed down. Only quick meals of roasted meats and BBQ or quick fire dishes available now. The meats are weighed and you pay by the pound unless you're ordering an entree/boxed meal. Simple, pick one or two meats of your choice over rice. I usually buy by the pound, more economical since I'm buying food for the family. As mentioned, only half of the place is operational now so the dim sum, side dishes, buns and soy sauce eggs are not available. Also the "three choice dishes over rice with a soup" is not available now either. One could have ordered stewed beef, veggies, fish, eggplant, shrimp dishes or other hot food of the day when fully open. There's tons to choose from. Can't wait till it's all back to normal. Good thing, at least they are open! And to go is how they do so they know how to operate during this trying time. My favorite meats are the Roast Crispy Skin pork or the Char Siu. My kids like the soy sauce chicken, doesn't disappoint. Keep in mind, you order, they price it, you pay at the register and then you get your order handed to you once you show proof of payment. Efficient!
google avatar

Johnny Y.

Yelp
This was my go to spot! Getting your bang for your buck at affordable cost and good food! I guess times are rough. But it doesn't mean it's right! Since the COVID the buy 4 choices with rice are closed. I decided to get some meats! Picked up Soy Sauce Chicken and Char-Siu. They must know how to do slight of hand in magic because whatever you request from the meats that were hung by the window aren't the one's you'll be getting. Sad to say the soy sauce chicken was how you say... Dead twice? Once I brought it home and open the lid, It reeked ! The chicken just melted of decay (dramatic) Nope! If you only knew. The Char Siu speaks for it self. Either completely burnt or it was drenched in dark soy sauce for however long. I just know that the meat inside shouldn't be looking like that... I don't want to give up on this place cause it has treated me so well through out my teenage/adult life... I hope things will get better for them! Just if your food is expired... Don't sell it to your customers. That's just not right!
google avatar

Raphael P.

Yelp
Bought from the to go stand duck baos, $2.50 cash only. Was a perfect portion and cut and for $2.50 it is so worth it. Great flavor, very efficient, amazing duck bao.
google avatar

Dee L.

Yelp
Reliably good roast meats. And C28 is a great deal if you get the rice platters which come with enough rice and protein(s) of choice for two people, plus they throw in a free bottle of water.
google avatar

Amelia L.

Yelp
I've been craving for duck buns for the past few days like a pregnant woman (which I'm not). So while running errands in downtown Main Street today, I decided to go get some at Corner 28. I used to buy them all the time here but haven't been back in a while. Glad to see that you can still get fairly inexpensive food here. I still remember when the duck buns costs $0.75! Now each bun costs $1.25 (still a bargain). I noticed that the buns themselves are no longer house made. Now they come from prepackaged containers. The duck is still very good though and exactly as I remembered them. Very juicy and crispy. The hoisin sauce they douse it in complements the duck and cuts through the fat nicely. While the restaurant is looking run down and not as clean as I remembered, it's still nice to have a place like this for quick affordable meals.
google avatar

Jason U.

Yelp
I came back here in May after seeing how cheap and good peking duck bao you can get from here via . However, was really confused when we got to location address on file. The people there said they didn't sell Peking duck and it was really only food like dim sum and the rice dishes. After heading out and getting notified from an individual that Corner 28 was across the street from this current address. I headed over there as I ordered from the outside window my peking duck order. The peking duck itself was okay, nothing too special compared to the ones here or the ones I've had when I went to Bejing. Duck was either fatty or on the drier side. The bao was a bit doughy. It's an average peking duck bao you can probably get somewhere else. Sad to learn from others that Corner 28 isn't what it's used to be.
google avatar

Weley L.

Yelp
$1.25 Peking buns....I think that's all I need to say! If you're craving some Peking duck but don't got enough people or $$$ to spend on a whole duck, this is the place for you! It definitely fulfills the craving. Love the sauce+bun+green onion combo. If you want to be extra bougie, I'd order more duck on the side so that you can pack more meat into the bun :) We also got some of the dim sum on the side and they were all just ok. We got some lotus wrapped sticky rice (Lou mi ji). This is chicken and Chinese sausage wrapped in sticky rice. It was alright. The egg tarts were ok. A lot more custard filling than pastry. I was looked at some fried turnip dim sum as well and the employee said it's good so I got one too try. It was NOT good. Do not get this. It was cold and not sweet. There also seems to be some meat on the inside but nothing in the pastry had even any salty taste. Was just bland. Only plus is that the outside was crunchy still. Overall this was a very cheap and filling meal. We paid ~$15 for everything. An order seems to come with two items fyi. We also somehow got some free soybean drink (I think they may give this out when you order a lot). Note: it may look like there's no seating but there's some upstairs. Go towards the left of the dim sum area.

Ed L.

Yelp
I came to purchase Chinese New Year meats, soy sauce duck, roast pork, roast pig. Service was prompt and courteous! I paid with cash. Food was delicious! Reminded me of the same foods from my childhood eating in old Chinatown in Lower Manhattan. I'll be back annually for the New Year's food.
google avatar

Matt A.

Yelp
I'm really sad that corner 28 has changed so much over the last few years, I remember when they served that amazing fresh meat over rice. I'm not a huge fan of the new dimsum changes as of recent but I hope they get everything sorted.
google avatar

John Y.

Yelp
I walked in and looked around and quickly left. Despite the name, it's nothing like the older corner 28 that used to face Main St. This one has about 3 food stalls and nothing appealing to me at least. One seemed to be a noodle stall, another was dim sum. And one more I don't remember. The noodle place was trying to flag me over...it was dead in there.
google avatar

Linda T.

Yelp
Two words: Organized chaos Upon entering Corner 28, you'll first have to pass through the thick plastic sheet barriers. To the left side, there's a stall that sells sushi. To the right, you can order the roast pork, roast duck, or other types of BBQ meats. Towards the back, you can buy Corner 28 take out at the cashier; buy dim sum take out; or buy food from their hot buffet area (i.e. lunch box/dinner box). And way in the back, you can buy Peking duck buns too. BBQ Meats: -I really the roast pork and roast duck here. I think it's about $10 / lb for the BBQ meats. Dim Sum: -The dim sum is pretty decent here and it's about $2.50+ dish. My go-to dim sum are the har gow, shrimp noodle rolls, bean curd with meat inside, and the steam vegetable dumplings. Lunch Box: -You can pick four items and with rice. You also have a choice with soup or bottled water. My go-to choices: stir-fry clams with black bean sauce, fried fish with tofu, sweet and sour chicken, and stir-fry vegetables. The lunch box currently costs $6.50 and it's still a great deal for the amount of food that you get. It was cheaper (i.e. about $5+) a few years ago. If you don't want to order the lunch box deal, then you can just order one item from the hot food selection. For example, I only ordered the fried fish and tofu dish and it's about $7+. Peking Duck Buns: -I never tried the Peking duck buns yet, but I'll try it one day...BTW, the Peking duck buns were featured in Buzzfeed's Worth It. I never dined at the 2nd floor dining area since I usually get everything to-go. Also, bring some cash since it's a cash only place.

Yelp
I was in Flushing, so I decided to hit up Corner 28 for a quick dinner. It's like a huge food court, with authentic Chinese food filling up their hot buffets. They still had their lunch special available at 8pm, which was good. I got 4 dishes, rice, and a water bottle for $6.50. Considering the price, the quality and quantity of the food was amazing. The squid I got was extremely tender. The curried chicken was well seasoned, and the pork belly was perfectly roasted til tender. The tofu I got wasn't that great, mostly cuz of it's sauce. I thought it was mapo tofu, it was more like sweet and sour. Definitely a great spot to go if you're in a rush and on your own. They have seating upstairs and Peking Duck buns available for $1.25

Yelp
Supreme, Hypebeast, Gucci, Louis Vuitton... whatever. It's all overrated. What you want is to find that spot where you get INCREDIBLE quality at an INCREDIBLE price. Where to go? Check out Mong kok 28 (Corner 28). $1.25 for a peking duck slider, or $2.25-$3.25 for take out dimsum, or a lunch box with four meats and one vegetable for $6.50? Oh. my. gawd. You cannot beat that price. As for the flavor, Peking duck sliders are on point. Good portion, juicy crispy peking duck, what more can you ask for? And dim sum is fresh as day. I am in love with this place.

Yelp
I have been watching for years walking around the area seeing the hanging meat on the windows. It looked great but I hesitated to try it because I thought the food was going to taste too greasy or bad. First time trying the roasted pork it tasted good... not amazing but for 7 bucks you get enough to feed two people to be honest it's a steal. Rice was okay. You get a boiled lettuce for the salad. Tasted bad. You are mainly enjoying the meat. Don't count on the salad and rice. I would not get it again but definitely worth trying. Value is there. Meat was good.

Yelp
another one of those spots i've frequented for a long, long time (10+ years and counting) but never thought about reviewing until now. i was there when it was on the corner of Main St. and 40th Rd, and i'm still here since it has relocated down the street on 40th Rd. inside the restaurant, there are different stalls featuring things like sushi (they're ok), jianbing guozi (a savory Chinese pancake), but the undeniable star of the show here is the Chinese rotisseries. the dim sum/hot dishes (pick 4 and create your own lunch box)/peking duck buns section is gone due to Covid. anyway, come here for the Chinese rotisseries, they have everything and EVERYTHING slaps! you can do a pick-two or three meats and rice combo, or just buy them a-la-carte. they sell meats like roast pork, ribs, wings, crispy pork by the pound; and whole or half chicken or duck. order with the staff, go to the cashiers in the back to pay, and the chefs behind the counter will cut up the meats to order. i usually go for the a-la-carte option and cook my own rice and veggies at home. though prices have gone up due to Covid, and they no longer give you free charsiu, the quality for what i've ordered is on par with my previous experiences. no complaints of stale or bad meats here, and i will continue to patronize them.
