First time here, such a cozy atmosphere! Abby was super nice and helped me figure out what was good! Even for the price, this place is super worth it! The food is outstanding but mellow enough to click well with the cozy atmosphere after a long day. I especially loved the little coffee bar!

Hello corner Bakery Cafe 🍵 🥯 🧇 All around Kansas Overland Park, I felt like corner bakery Café is the best go to place to have the proper American breakfast in the mornings. I really like the vibes of this place and the food that they make is exactly how it should be like an American breakfast. 🥞 we went there and we tried to items. Those names are kind of hard to pronounce for me lol but we ate a nice healthy food. I will surely recommend everybody who wants to try the proper American breakfast to this place because they have got a nice bread and they have got some nice eggs and also they have got some nice pasta and a lot more. Taste wise I wish it could be more cooked than have was served but asked to discuss to get the proper American vibes you want the food to be half cooked. Thank you so much for coming into my list. I will surely revisit you to eat something new next time. I wish I could list down what items we ordered but as discussed, they are kind of crazy. Gave Panera vibes but more local! The food was good, I appreciated the Salad Portion in my pick two combo, the sandwich was pretty small. Wanted to try a chocolate croissant and it didn’t have that golden shine, but still tasty! They gave me a bag of chips with my pick two which was a nice surprise, would have been nice if I could choose what type of chips I got.

Delish, they are similar to Panera's but take it up a few notches. Loved it. Thank you

Can’t go wrong with Corner Bakery. And this location lives up to their reputation. Excellent food. Great atmosphere. Comfortable place to hang out a while. Staff was friendly. What I like is never have to wonder if the lettuce is fresh! And I love the green jasmine tea they offer too!

Cozy with jazz music. They heated up the cinnamon roll for me, and it was sweet and very buttery. Their latte was fine. I did enjoy the jazz music they played over their speakers, and that helps create the cozy atmosphere.

Very classy and traditional cafe. Staff has excellent customer service, food was great and facility is very clean. Amazing prices too. We're from Hawaii so our bill was a steal. Thank you!

First time coming here. Gorgeous atmosphere. Quiet, clean, well lit. Everyone here is quick and kind. Service is fantastic. Food is exceptional! I got the harvest salad and chicken Rosa pasta. Both beyond delicious. 10/10 recommend. Will definitely be coming back!

The food choices are great and taste delicious. The online ordering system has been down a bit so I have not been able to use rewards at times. When dining the service is good and the place is kept clean (cold A/C). I enjoy the outside area weather permitting.

Unbelievably delicious cinnamon rolls. You can literally taste the yeast in the roll it is so wonderfully homemade. Not too much frosting either. The cookies were fine but nothing amazing. Definitely would buy regular rolls if they sold them for dinner too!

It's rare for me to buy pastries because I bake myself. But, wanted to see what a cafe was charging for a cinnamon roll and to taste, I wasn't impressed. The cinnamon roll wasn't nasty, but nothing I'd purchase again. I didn't taste any cinnamon in the roll and whatever was in the roll was like a cream and the cinnamon crumb muffin was dry. $8+ and I have no plans to go back!.

I wanted to have this for lunch as this used to be a place I went to back in college for lunch. Everything still taste fantastic as expected. The waitress lady was super duper sweet so that gives this place a 5 stars! Definitely coming back for more

Comparable to Panera but I like this spot so much more. Maybe it's that I can choose a legit side salad instead of just a bag of chips, or the darker decor with more booths and a nicer patio but I'm just happier here. It's usually less crowded too! The staff are friendly and full of smiles and hospitality. The rustic Italian panini has a spicy edge and with the melty cheese ham and pepperoni.. Very crave-able!

They use cheap ingredients in their sandwiches, resulting in food that is at best bland and at worst just not good. And they're overpriced. Recommend going anywhere else.

Carved ham sandwich has One thin slice of ham and one triangle of Swiss on stale bread. Very disappointing. Would not come back.

Since this was my first visit to the Corner Bakery Cafe, I can only review it from a carryout perspective, so I'm withholding the 5th star for my next review, hoping it's as good the second time around. I will definitely be back! But this experience was good enough for me to call them after I started eating my Grilled Chicken Pesto Sandwich, and say "Perfect sandwich, great customer service, and your Side Dishes are 100 times better than Panera's!" My side was an actual classic Caesar Salad, NOT a package of awful potato chips, a rotting apple, or a really hard hunk of bread! Also, my sandwich was big and full of real (not pressed) chicken, and I got all that for about $10! One last thing...the ladies restroom was really clean and well-maintained. That's one criterion I judge any restaurant on, and an important sign that a restaurant cares about its customers.

This place is takes order-at-the-counter up a notch with many healthy tasty breakfast egg combinations, paninis, salads, and rich desserts. Walk in, stand in line for a bit, get your order taken, and then sit down and someone will bring your food out to you. We frequent this location for weekend brunch, and they have great options and swaps for eating keto. Of late, we order online directly through their web site, and then pick it up. That was the case today, when everyone was craving the various eggs and avocado dishes that are so popular with our family. The estimate for pickup was 15 minutes, but we know that to be typically quicker. In other words, order the meal and then get your booty over there and it will likely be ready! The food is excellent! Although I do wish the portions were slightly bigger, the quality of the food is top notch! My experience is that the online order is always correct. That is an important box to check off, given just how badly a meal can be ruined by a staff with less attention to detail. Corner Bakery has never disappointed us! The process of picking up the food is quick and efficient. There are a couple pickup parking spots, and a pickup counter inside. Don't be fooled by the "call when you arrive" number on the pickup sign, as you will have to run inside to get your order. In the summer there is seating outside. Technically there is always seating outside, but you have to navigate the on-again off-again Kansas weather. The coffee is descent with a few different options. The lack of heavy cream is the only drawback, so when we do eat in, I bring my own. Basically, you want to eat here (in or takeout) with your whole family. It's easy, delicious, and there's is something for everyone!

I can no longer recommend this franchise. Food is not prepared properly at least 90% of the time and their management team is rude. On 22-Mar-2022, I dined in and ordered the choose two: a Chicken Pomodori panini and the mac and cheese. I also ordered a cinnamon crumb muffin. The panini was made incorrectly (see menu description screen print). No tomato, no spinach, one piece of basil, and next to no chicken on the sandwich. The mac and cheese had red pepper flakes poured all over the top of it which has never been the case in the past, and the menu does not indicate the breadcrumbs have red pepper flakes mixed in them or that that menu item is spicy (see menu description screen print). Uneatable. The cinnamon crumb muffin was dried out. When I complained, a manager came to my table and argued with me saying the mac and cheese had always been made that way. Um, no. My gall bladder is sensitive to spicy food and has been for years. Again, the menu does not indicate the item is spicy and at no time in the past was it prepared this way. She argued with me despite advising her I had been eating there for well over 5 years and the item had never been prepared this way in the past. When I told her I didn't plan on coming back in the future, she walked away from my table and gave me a thumbs-up, implying she liked that I'm not coming back. Seriously. . . I talked to their district manager on duty, John Westermajer, and there was no apology for his manager's behavior. I only knew to ask for him because I had complained to him two years back when we had repeated problems at this location, including unresolved billing disputes. Instead, he tried to make me feel like I misinterpreted her behavior, yet he wasn't even there and didn't even know which manager I was referring to.

Stopped by to see if they had a muffin or two. I heard about this place/ they catered a breakfast years ago. I feel in love with the chocolate muffin and pop in when ever I am on that side of town to see if there are any instock. Today I was in luck and scored a chocolate as well as Banana muffin. The banana recipe has changed over the years (for the better) If you are in the area definitely try them out you wont be sorry.

we got the bacon and egg sandwich, the chicken pomodori and the dragon fruit lemonade. i have been to other corner bakery cafes and always get the same thing. this location had the best of it all the workers are extremely kind and all the tables were wiped off and the floor was clean and we had an amazing experience!

Went here for the first time last week, great selection, fast but healthy options! Great service from the team and a lot of pastry options. Cute and clean place will be back for sure!

Typically I have no issues here, but my last visit yikes! During the week I get my breakfast to go & they move pretty fast. This time I went on Saturday morning & had time to dine in. Ordered 2 breakfast paninis, potatoes & 2 coffees. The staff seemed confused with three of them just standing around. After placing our order, we took a seat to wait for them to bring our food. Several times we watched staff bring the wrong food. After 10 minutes no food or coffee, so I had to go back to the counter to get the status of my order & get my coffee. Another few minutes past & they finally bring the food. The awkward thing was a couple seated behind who were there prior to us had to stop the waitress & ask where their food was. Sadly she seemed not to understand English and just looked at the man as he asked about his order. Upon us leaving their food still hadn't came. After the poor service I did voice my concerns to corporate & to this date (2 weeks) still no word from them.

What even is this?! I was recommended by Yelp to come to this restaurant. The service took 20 minutes to bring out this trash and a simple toasted bagel. $15 later the bagel was cold and the sandwich was soggy and missing toppings. A hot pocket from the grocery store is better than this. When confronting the manager to simply tell her how my experience to how the food was, her response given was how tired she was..... take your time and money some place else.

The place was only half full and every table was filthy. I had to ask for a rag to clean my table, and when the person came out to clean it the swirling motion just slung the food in a 360 degree pattern. Missed a few spots too. The food was about 20 minutes till arrival but tasted good. Eggs scrambled. However, way over priced for what it was. I'm getting ready to leave, 40 minutes later, and the place still looks like crap. Manager must be having a really bad day.

Wow the food was fantastic my favorite dish was up town turkey avocado. It was absolutely the best sandwich I've ever had in my life. As a kid I really enjoyed the food it's kid friendly and has cookies FYI. Nice parking and outdoor seating with a fire outside and fan. The bathrooms are nice And they have a crayons and coloring pages for kids. My dad recommends the family meal deal. :-) they have high chairs for babies and I know that because I have a little brother the music is appropriate. The place isn't really fancy but the food is definitely amazing. Although since of Covid they do recommend masks. Wasn't terrible, definitely wasn't great though. The eggs are powdered scrambled eggs. The pancakes are weird and savory and have an off taste that we couldn't put name to but it was disturbing. Coffee tastes like water that dressed up as coffee for Halloween, but unfortunately it's November now. Staff was friendly helped me decide which gross coffee I wanted. I tried two and to my surprise I didn't like either. Also it was 35$ for fast food pretending to be good diner food. Like 4/10 for ambiance I don't know wasn't terrible but we both wished we went to the big biscuit instead.

Very nice service, but the mood tastes bulk-produced and was very unimpressive. I'd eat there if someone else really wanted to go there, but I'd not choose it again for myself.

I understand COVID has completely changed the landscape of every business but 40+ minutes wait after putting in order 15 minutes (that's when said food would be ready) before is terrible. Also, food by time I got was barely warm. Forgot kids drinks....the disappointments go on and on. Used to love going there on weekends with my kids but honestly don't see myself going back again.

I think it is a great place for lunch with a friend or friends. You order then find a table. Cold drinks you get a cup to fill yourself. They will bring your order to you.I have been there several times and never noisy so you can hear what your friend is saying. Good desserts. Try this place sometime.

Visited for the first time and sad I hadn't stopped by before! Anaheim scrambler with fruit bowl and awesome toast was delish! My fancy cold brew hit the spot. Good service and great atmosphere. The patio seating/dining area is so comfortable and nicely laid out.

Food is great and we have enjoyed everything on the menu that we have tried. Only complaint- the staff are beyond inconsistent! When it's great it's great but when it's bad, it's bad. I brought my mom from Topeka in because we raved about how great the food is but we had to deal with an impatient cashier and what's worse....beyond loud staff talking about tips and other personal affairs. I wish management would work a bit harder to get things in order everyday of the week AND in the evening.

Meatball Panini was great! Turkey Panini had a good flavor as well! Baked potato soup was delicious & we finished off the meal with a fluffy & tasty blueberry muffin! Will be back for more!

This place has gone downhill. I've been here twice in the past month. Food wasn't bad. But the service is terrible. Staff not friendly or helpful and very slow. Today one of the staff was not ver hygienic. Coffee was cold.

I ordered the Tomato Mozzarella and it was absolutely delicious! It was a great, filling portion size. I'd definitely recommend this place and will be going back to eat here again!

This was our first time here. We were very impressed with how clean this restaurant was. The employees were all so very friendly and helpful. When the food came out, it was such a beautiful presentation and very yummy. The food tasted fresh and had unique flavors. Loved the tomato basil bisque. We got the choose two...so much food and a great value. There are lots of flavors of coffee and ice teas. Thankful for decaf options! Green tea with apricot is on my list for next time! They have a nice patio for dining outside that is sheltered from wind or rain. We will be back!

I recently dined in, and tried the half sandwich and soup combo. I got the Uptown Turkey Avocado, and the Big Al's Chili. The sandwich and chili were both really good, and I'd like to come back and try some of the other menu items. My only issue at all during the visit was with the staff. We visited on a Thursday night, and the place was not busy. Maybe two other tables occupied other than ours at 7p. They were way overstaffed for the five people I saw working the counter/dining area. We picked a table near the drink station, which seemed to be a focal point for the employees to hang out and talk. If they weren't hanging out there, the staff would wander the restaurant or be on their phones. Great location, beautiful restaurant, and good food. Maybe if it was busier, the staff wouldn't have been so bored, but standing around in a group talking near my table isn't pleasant.

I took my kids here for a treat of cookies and pound cake. One child ordered the pasta and meatball. The pasta looked good and my son said it was as well. The meatball was fairly big and looked most. He seemed to enjoy it. The lemon pound cake was moist and delicious. I will return when I have a coupon as it was a tad expensive with three kids. Nice clean area

This is a nice Panera alternative. The service at the counter was fast, but not particularly friendly. Employees checked in on diners, and made sure the dining area was clean. The dining area had a good mix of booths and tables, and was well divided, keeping the noise down. Very nice.

I was hoping for something different and special when I went to The Corner Bakery for the first time. Unfortunately, it was just basically like a less good Panera. The food was good, not great, although I hated that they salted the tomato slices on my sandwich without asking me. The DC chicken salad was yummy, but I found a few pieces of gristle in it. The service was the biggest problem, plus the place really needs a good cleaning and there was a weird smell in the air that turned me off. My cashier was clearly having a bad day, and sighed dramatically with every question I had. So rude and annoying. My daughter ordered her sandwich with cheese & without mustard, and it came without cheese & with mustard. We had to return to the counter and wait several minutes to alert them about their mistake. By then, she'd decided the mustard addition was ok, but she really wanted the cheese- plus, it had been paid extra for. And what did the cashier give us? SHREDDED, not sliced, cheese. Very odd. And not very sandwich-friendly. The ladies' restroom was bad too- they were out of soap (super gross) and the towel dispenser didn't work properly. You could argue that all of these problems were because it was 12:45 on a Friday and the place was packed to the gills, but I think that's when a place like this should really shine- I'm betting they do most of their business around this time. So get some competent, polite cashiers in there, fill up the bathroom soap dispenser and prove to me that you're not just a second rate Panera!

Made the mistake of coming during the lunch rush, on a Sunday, nonetheless. *Sigh LOL...anywhooooo..... I was all excited to eat some oatmeal only to find out after getting to the front of the line, that they do not serve oatmeal, but serve breakfast all day. I think that they should add a note in their menu, since it's misleading having it on their breakfast menu that is supposed to be served all day. Being the indecisive person that I am, I couldn't make up my mind, so decided to go back to the end of the line. Big mistake! About 15-20 people had got in line without me noticing, so I had to wait about 5-10 min. Ordered the their small breakfast sandwich with apple sausage and scrambled eggs. It was pretty good, but way too small and for $4, I expect a bigger serving. They messed up my order, so they gave me free dessert, which was awesome since they didn't have to! I came with a party of 4, so we all just shared our food, especially the desserts. Ok, so the reason I'm giving this place 4 stars, is primarily based on their BOMB APPLE PIE! Omg how scrumptious it was! Forgot to tell them to heat it up for me (I like my pastries warm) but it was good just the way it was. The dough was soft and fluffy, with a golden crisp, topped with big sugar crystals....oh and usually I don't like eating the apples in apple pie, but Corner Bakery made me eat them like they were candy :) The chocolate muffin was pretty good, especially since I asked them to serve it warm. I would've gone for the brownies, but I got the pecan pie for free. Pecan pie was too rich for my taste, nuff said. I really like the atmosphere from this place. It's like a fancier panera. haha maybe I've gotten a little tired of panera, that this place just feels fresh and new. My partner and crime, Kent So, got me to eat here. Apparently there's a ton of these restaurants in California :) I will definitely come back and check out their lunch menu. BOTTOM LINE: COME FOR THE DESSERT! :) #BOMBApplePie Happy Eating!

One of my favorite sandwich spots! A bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. Veggies are super fresh and seasoned to perfection. Service is just as good as the food. I would have given them 5 stars except my sons meal was almost $11 and didn't come with a drink. None of the meals did. My son also mentioned that the restroom wasn't clean.

Awful. Came with friends from out of town with a toddler, they lost their order then wouldn't refund them and we waited over an hour for the food in the first place. Their daughter had to eat someone else's food. The employees just panicked and handled the situation very poorly.

I ordered Foodsby for work and had a yummy salad that had cranberries, chicken and blue cheese. I also tried a pecan bar which was excellent. I will be ordering from here more often.

Had an excellent breakfast experience at one of our favorite breakfast places.  The man who took our order was super friendly and food for the 5 of us was delivered quickly. We had a few special requests on some meals and all were made as we requested. I had the Anaheim scrambler with fruit and hubs had the breakfast panini. Excellent.  Coffee was hot and fresh, and I appreciate the half and half available. We like the atmosphere and especially like it when one of the cozy corner booths is available. The patio is a nice place to sit and it has a beautiful fireplace. We'll be back again soon!

Had a disappointing experience this morning for a business meeting. Judging by the other reviews, it looks like customer service is a challenge for this establishment. My guest and I ordered two different styles of oatmeal. Hers, the hot version did not come out for an hour. That's right, an. hour. Mine came out on time but I didn't eat because it felt rude to do so in front of my guest. When she ordered she was not warned that it would take such a long time. And as we checked on her order during our time together, we were repeatedly told it would be ready in "a little bit" or "a few minutes". Servers we checked in with did ask if she wanted "anything else", which she declined because her order was soon coming. I am surprised that the staff was not empowered to offer us a complimentary dish, a gift card to come back again or even a refund. I would have expected that from an establishment who wants to provide the very best for their customers. Maybe this kind of issue happens often. Will rethink coming here again on my own and certainly it won't invite a "client" to join me there.

Managment dosent care about the customer's. They kicked out a few of my friends because they said a few curse words and some lady got mad a d complained even after they apologized to the lady who was upset they were still banned its sad the management only cares about certain customers

Corner Bakery has good food, but bigger management / owner problems. My daughter applied for a summer job to save money for college and was clear with management about what she was looking for and why. They agreed, and she proceeded to learn seven of eight stations. I'm mid-july, because of over staffing management decided to lay off all college students since they would be gone in mid August anyway. This put several college students in a bind for college funds. It was too late in the summer to be hired and trained on a new job. Another corporation that treats employees poorly.

Came in for a sweet treat later in the evening. We had ordered some cookies and they hit that sweet tooth. All the other treats in the case on display looked very good. Next time I'm in the area I'll try some more.

Wow, based on all of the reviews of this place, I was expecting a lot more... a whole lot more. The baked goods looked appetizing, but I was here for lunch so I opted to skip the sweet treats. I ordered a cup of tomato soup and my husband got a bowl of macaroni, and we were less than impressed. I tried about two bites of the soup and honestly just ended up asking for a refund. It was weirdly sweet and way too salty, and the side of bread that it came with was like a stale grocery store leftover. My husband's macaroni barely had any cheese on it... it was just a super expensive tiny bowl of noodles. He didn't even touch the bread. I wish I had more to say about this place, like anything good. I'm being generous with the extra star because at least the baked goods looked appetizing. Maybe just stick to this place for dessert?

Their Panini's are all excellent, never had one that wasn't delicious. The latest, was their Meatball Panini, with Marinara dipping sauce. It was highly unexpected, but I would now trade-in any traditional meatball sandwich, for this Meatball Panini! Their original Chicken,Pesto sauce & Sundried Tomato Panini, was amazing as well. I also love their Spinach salads - all are wonderfully tasty. Only wish there was one closer to our home. Or maybe I don't, because then I would stop cooking for my family, and only eat there.

Corner Bakery has awesome baked goods. I like their food, but I love their cookies, brownies, and sweets. This morning I placed a catering order online for a sweets basket for National Pharmacy Technician Day which is today (because I didn't think ahead) and it required me to select three hours ahead. I went ahead and placed the order, then I called and asked if they could have it done sooner. They were awesome and so accommodating and had it done after a few minutes. Panera is closer to me, and I considered going there but the sweets are so much better that I made the longer drive to get to Corner Bakery! They helped make Technician Day a success!

Wow ... great food and hospitality . Not why I expected from a quick dining concept. I will no longer go to Panera . Better food, better service, better hospitality. The most surprising part is the team they have and how patient they were with my order since I had never been. You have my business now . Great job !

I purchased a cinnamon roll to take home and it was stale. When I returned to the store the next day and asked if they would stand behind their product, the manager said they would not. I won't be returning there.

Loved the Corner Bakery Cafe! On a recent trip to Kansas, my family and I had lunch at this wonderful cafe. We all had great meals and enjoyed eating outside on a beautiful day. My chicken salad sandwich on pretzel bread and tomato basil soup were excellent! Can't wait to go back again next year! :-)
