No customer service at all. They just stare at you when you walk in. No greeting or anything. Waited almost 5 minutes in an empty store for my pickup order. And I finally ate the cinnamon roll and wow. The worst cinnamon roll I’ve ever had. The dough tasted like a pretzel, it was so doughy and dense and nasty. The glaze lacked flavor but the cinnamon flavor was okay. I don’t think the photo captures the bad texture of the dough but this was not a good cinnamon roll by any stretch of the imagination..

I am happy to share that my friend and I have experienced nothing but the best at Corner Bakery. We have been meeting here for a few years now and we have never left unsatisfied. Today we had the pleasure of meeting the area director Maram Eid, who checked in on us and other customers to make sure that we continue to be satisfied customers. Looking forward to being back as usual.

Good food and friendly staff, good sitting arrangements. One thing should be taken care of - the tables are very sticky, need to be cleaned off thoroughly.

It's difficult to find a cafe or restaurant today that is not playing some kind of music loudly. While I know a lot of people like that, I prefer peace and quiet while I'm eating, and I'm grateful for the peaceful environment in this Corner Bakery. The service is consistently good and efficient. There is lots and lots of seating including booth seating. There is a large parking lot that is free outside. You can also complete a survey of your experience by scanning a QR code on the table and then you can redeem a free cookie! One of my favorite locations and I will be back soon.

the service is just crap, such a dissatisfied girl, if I take the order from her for free. Pay special attention to this administration, since they are your face, you already have very bad reviews. I do not want to teach you how to meet with clients but this is just awful!!!!

I am so glad that I found this hidden gem after a tiring time shopping all day. It's a spacious cafe and the music was soft enough to create a relaxing atmosphere. I ordered a latte, tomato soup and chocolate muffin and all three of them far exceeded my expectations. Tomato soup was rich, thick, hot and delicious. The muffins had a burst of chocolate in every bite and coffee was also fine. The price was reasonable enough to make you shell out some more money as tips. Overall a nice place to treat yourself or your loved ones.

My experience at the Bala Cynwyd location has been great every time I walk through the door. The staff are attentive, kind, and always go above and beyond to accommodate me. My boss and I come in frequently to do work in the mornings, and I can say with confidence that we both look forward to coming back every time. The food is excellent, the service is spot on, and the general atmosphere of this location is lovely. The Area Director, Maram, was very kind to us after we pulled him aside to compliment his team. The rest of the staff are also phenomenal; Doug, Simone, and so many others who help to make our mornings that little bit better. A wonderful location with wonderful staff- keep up the good work, and thanks for creating a memorable morning routine for us.

It's getting worse every time I go there. No one knows what they are doing, Ordered bagel and cream cheese, waited 30 min. I tables are dirty, not friendly. I go there to buy a cake ~ Don't eat there...

The food tasted like something you would grab at an airport kiosk if you didn't have time to wait for real food. The tables were sticky and the soda machine didn't have ice. Dirty location with pretty bad food.

Service was great, food was great, and the place was clean and relaxing. Damon in particular was awesome and made the dining experience top tier.

The overnight oatmeal is absolutely amazing. I have never in my entire life had such incredible oatmeal. I was surprised it's cold but delicious. From a stand point of warmth, the staff members are extremely kind and friendly. Specifically, Doug, the manager and Simone are truly memorable and delightful to see when visiting the restaurant. They make me feel like a member of the family.

Everyone is very nice, the location is very clean and neat. Nice amount of food for your buck plus tasty and hot.

I've been here twice in the last two weeks and the experience varies depending on staff, but the food is pretty good. The cashier today couldn't be less interested in waiting on people. The other kitchen staff were friendly and the woman who brought my food was super lovely. On my first visit I encountered an equally unenthusiastic cashier. My suggestion to the management would be to work on that area because the food is really good and you're doing yourself a disservice with such unfriendly greeters. If you're looking for a quick breakfast and don't want to get trash from Dunkin or Starbucks, come here.

This was my first time trying corner bakery cafe and it was overall pretty good! The BBLT $ egg sandwich was pretty good. I wish the bread was toasted and less soft but it was a good amount of each ingredient and it was yummy. The chicken toss pasta was pretty good. I personally am not a huge cheese/cream lover, but even so it tasted good. I enjoyed the shrimp scampi linguine though the portion was smaller than expected which was disappointing. And unfortunately each piece of garlic bread (the two I ordered and the two that came with the recipe pasta) were all burnt and not very good at all. I'd say I would order from this place again

Simple food breakfast place with simple delicious breakfast and good service. Clean tables and nice environment.

I tried the chicken pomodori and the only decent part was the bread. The sauce was really icky and did not help the dryness of the chicken. I barely has any veggies or anything other than dry chicken and sauce.

I can't speak for anything else besides what I get, and I can't speak for inside, but- I love what I order. every time I get the choose two, capresse (tomato mozzarella, balsamic vinegar, arugula) and max and cheese. it's consistent- same every time. tastes great and easy to order to work! would recommend for something quick cheap and easy!

When I tried this place for the first time I fell in love with the caramel macchiato.. so freaking good I couldn't stop thinking about it until the next time I went. I'm such a coffee girl lol I tried the breakfast as well & it was good but to me the portions are not enough. Service was great & the ambience is very relaxed. I love it, perfect place to do a business meet up or even study. I will most definitely be back

Theirs a wonderful young lady work there. I believe her name is Domoinque. From the time we walked in to the cafe to the time we left this cafe she was so polite. She check on us multiple times just to make sure we was fine. Her smile lighted up our day. Need more workers like her. Just wish her boss was so mean but over all it was joy and will be back to see this young lady.

Good food, but high prices. I saw it on a Sunday morning and figured wth, they have a nice selection. Their scrambled eggs were very good. The cashier seemed to be annoyed with us, but the server and the busser were both excellent. It was a nice experience.

Everything was soooo good. The pancakes were delicioussss & so was the parfait and the sandwich i ordered was blt with egg it was so so good. The pastries could be better tho but overall it was a great experience & chill vibes. The lady that took my order & brought the food was really nice too.

I have loved Corner Bakery since I was in high school (in my 30s now). But this location is exactly why they're failing and going out of business everywhere. Their product is good but they're wholly unable to provide even a single person's simple lunch order without multiple mistakes. I shouldn't have to make three requests for my order to be correct (I was handed the wrong bakery item, my simple modification of an extra piece of garlic bread was forgotten, and they had run out of syrup on two of the soft drink dispensers).

First time I come to this place and I thought it was very good attention and very fast service excellent

I ordered for my niece while I was out today and picked up food and left. Unfortunately 19 minutes after I dropped food off she informs me it's a shrimp dish not the pesto chicken. I called and spoke with a young lady who was kind and understanding. She transferred me to the manager whose name is James. Let's talk about Jame. He was ultra professional and apologetics for the mixed up in orders. He gave me a few options to rectify the error. I appreciated options. I opted to return and my order was ready. When I entered I was greeted with a friendly smile. I couldn't see the smile but I could see their eyes and they were happy. Pleasant. James apologized profusely which was kind considering it was not his error. He even shared he'd speak to the staff who inadvertently mixed up the orders. That's great because it was a mistake and everyone makes those but not all mistakes are learning opportunities well they are but most don't capitalize on those moments so CYBER HI FIVE to James for that. Great job to all those there when I picked up the order. I was given given a beverage and a dessert for me and my niece. For the whole order I received CB Bucks!!! I don't if that's the name but it should be lol. Food was excellent and fresh!!!!

After eating at honeygrow I was a bit upset I didn't stop here first to eat. The layout reminds me of a Maggiano's if they had a corner bakery area installed inside. Wood panel walls, mosaic tile floors, wooden booths .. it all felt welcoming to me. The line to wait for the bakery area was long, but moved fast. I ordered several cookies and a couple of bundt cakes. The cookies were fresh, soft, a good size and solid overall. The bundt cakes were very rich, out of the two I enjoyed the chocolate with the caramel and pecans the most. The regular chocolate cake was tasty as well. I'd like to come back to try some of their food options. The bakery items were a good value for the area I was in.

The girls that work were look busy! The place had a good flow of customers too. We stopped for a quick to-go lunch while on the way for my sisters graduation. The weather was beautiful so we sat outside. I ordered a Trio which included 2 sides and a soup. (Cesar salad, side of fruit, and loaded baked potato soup) The salad was good pretty basic, the soup reminded me of panera, well seasoned nothing fancy, and the fruit was actually pretty fresh! The cold brew was good to me! I'm not too much of a coffee snob anyway. My dad ordered a club sandwich and it was bigger than we expected to be. He said it was a little oily from the cheese but decent for the price! Overall a nice stop when the Honey Grow is obnoxiously busy and can't keep up!

The Corner Bakery has really gone downhill lately--my experience over the past year shows that the food often comes out cool, and they tend to take forever to clean tables. Receiving this burnt toast today prompted me to update my review. It's been almost a year into the COVID-19 pandemic, and I completely understand that many restaurants face a more challenging time to serve customers and stay afloat. But it has been almost a year, and this location is still unable to get ahold of itself to provide the quality service that used to make it a breakfast gem here on City Avenue. I have been here occasionally for breakfast throughout the pandemic, and it always seems that either my pancakes come out cool (the butter barely melts on them), the bacon may be hard and looks like it was made yesterday, there are salty patches in my scrambled eggs, or toast is burnt. I can only muster up two stars for this fallen angel--one for good value, and another for good selection of food. At this rate, it will soon no longer even be a good value--due to bad food preparation. Hopefully Corner Bakery will keep watch on our reviews, and is able to return this location to the enjoyable spot that it used to be--before it's too late.

Definitely something young got to eat dining in. More than once my order has arrived cold when ordering in the dang neighborhood. Dining in the service is great and the restaurant is clean.

Stopped to get a cookie and got the chocolate Bundt cake as a bonus. Love a sift cookie and they passed. The mini cake was really good too. I'll try the actual food on the menu one day. Three stars as it boils me a little when I am still checking out and the cashier has moved on to the next customer as if I'm not still standing there. Long sentence, but that's me. It may not bother you.

So I want to preface this review by saying I'm from New Jersey and never stepped foot in a Corner Bakery Cafe until I was driving though Bala Cynwyd PA. The images on Yelp looked yummy and similar to a Panera Bread plus it was next to a Lord & Taylor's so I though let's grab lunch and go shopping #win. The plaza it's in is loaded with parking so you will not struggle to find a spot. Inside I scanned the menu and felt right at home similar to PB's You Pick Two Corner Bakery Cafe has a "Choose Two Never Settle"option basically you select any two of the following : Half Sandwich, Half Panini, Cafe Pasta, Cafe Salad, Cup of Soup. I ordered the California Grille Panini & a cup of chicken noodle soup. The Panini was fairly large and the soup was perfect for a cool day. The one down side to this establishment is the lack of power outlets. It's not something that's going to make me stay away, but it was something that I struggled with while I was visiting.

I've been to this corner bakery over 4 times, hoping that everytime I go, it's just bad because it's a fluke. But no, it's just bad. Workers look miserable every time - must be poor management. I've tried ordering online, don't waste your time, you still have to wait in line when you go.

This is a hard "no" for me. I was staying nearby during a trip and decided to go in. There were four people in the store. Seemingly the manager, a customer or someone else he was talking to, and a cashier, in addition to myself. After I had looked at the menu board for about three minutes and no one had acknowledged me, the manager guy sort of barked at me as though I was an idiot. "She's ready when YOU are, sir!" Indeed, she was not ready. "Yaya" was texting on her phone and the manager guy called her name three times. She never looked up, and each time she barked back "hold on!" and kept texting. I finally turned around and walked out. There was no reaction on their part. I see their goals in the store are purely social, and not customer service related.

I ordered a broccoli cheddar soup and got something completely different. It was the only item in my order and the cashier confirmed that was what I wanted.

This was incredibly tough to rate. I wanted to give it 5 stars because all the staff were friendly and smiling, but 2 stars because there wasn't a lot of meat on the sandwich and the dining room didn't offer a lot of clean tables. Patrons order at the counter and receive their food at a table, but when done they just leave their plates and trash on the table, so many weren't clean (I gave my plate to a staff member at the counter instead). There should be a couple places for customers to put their trash. I settled on three stars because it does have a lot of options and desserts to at least fill up the stomach. I got a half sandwich and half panini for $8.99 along with a Bundt cake and cookie. My ham and cheese sandwich had a few bites where I didn't get any meat, and I know paninis are smaller but it could have used more turkey. It was a mayo overload.

I usually enjoy Corner Bakery but this was my first time ordering from this location and the food was disgusting. First of all, my half sandwich looked like someone had taken a giant bite of it?! I ended up having to throw the whole thing away because I don't know wtf happened to it. Second of all, my chicken pomodori came with ONE piece of spinach in it. Edamame salad was also SLIMY so had to throw that away too! Where is the quality control, Corner Bakery?!

We are from out of town and ventured on this "sweet" establishment. Wonderful food! The staff were courteous and helpful. We highly recommend this place.

This restaurant is clean with great staff and delicious food! I had not been to Corner Bakery for a few years, but one of my clients usually caters from here when I am in. Anyway, I wasn't planning on eating here, but came here after seeing HoneyGrow was still under renovations. When walking in, I was greeted by the sight of a large statue and friendly staff. This place has the perfect mix between a Panera Bread and a Hymies. At the front I ordered a "Pick Two" where I had a caprese salad and a chicken carbonara with peas and bacon. I also got a "monster cookie" filled with m&ms and chocolate chips. Finally, it was delightful to see Corner Bakery having real homemade style lemonade. It was just delicious. I was given a place card and sat down at a booth. My food came out fast and I went right in. After eating every moral, I realized a good way to describe my meal is by saying it is just scrumptious! The only reason Corner Bakery loses a star is that one staff member reached under my booth with a broom to get some crumbs. I really feel that was just not right and she could have waited until I finished my meal. However, I will definitely be returning!

I liked their soup, half a sandwich (was a little small) but had a gluten free option!! The side salad was good too. Overall not bad and decently priced!

This cute little bakery shop offers me great food at every visit. Each time I come here, I'm always satisfied afterwards. So far I've been to corner bakery cafe a few times and the first time I visited this cafe because their neighbor honeygrow was closed. Well that visit was the great unexpected because coming here opened my eyes to some delicious food. I thoroughly enjoy their salads and breakfast. Corner bakery cafe is actually my favorite breakfast place! First let's get on the salads, i tried their Chopped salad and their chicken caesar salad, both was great. The Chopped was filling and all the ingredients was fresh. My Chopped salad was definitely full and hearty. The chicken caesar was also tasty and the dressing was the star of the show! Once again the ingredients was fresh and filling. Lastly their breakfast food is divine, I like that they offer a variety of breakfast items for the comfort food lover such as banana foster or buttermilk pancakes to the health conscious person such as oatmeal. I often get the all American breakfast which consist of three scrambled eggs bacon and potatoes! Yummy Overall this is my new go to spot for breakfast on the go and I heard their pastries are also good. I definitely recommend trying it out.

First time dining in since March 2020 (since the start of the COVID pandemic) Food was yummy, staff was friendly!

I'm here on business from Oklahoma and decided to give this place a try. They were short handed today and the food was a little slow but the food was excellent. We will be coming back.

Used to go here for coffee. Either of the two caffeinated not hazelnut coffees worked for me. Sometimes they are both empty. After trying both empty jugs I went to dump the dual flavor 1/8th full cup for a new one. The audacity of me. Was aggressively accused of stealing, not even asked for a receipt which could've been easily produced on my phone. Not to be outdone by her employee's awfulness the Manager doubled down like I am the bad guy. I thought I was being pranked by a hidden camera show. Apparently one is supposed to go back and humbly beg the coffee goddess for a paper cup like Newman addressing the Soup Nazi, even when there is a line and I've already waited patiently for 10 minutes. Maybe they should keep their precious coffee cups behind a glass case like razor blades in a drug store if grand coffee heists are such a concern. Nobody from my office will be ordering from this dump ever again; which as far as the microwave food goes is no loss.

The pancakes were sooo delicious! and the chicken Sausage was good. The eggs were a little disappointing because they were processed liquid eggs instead of fresh cracked eggs. Overall the service was great and the restaurant was very clean.

Standard cafe fare with a menu comparable to Panera Bread. Chicken Pomodori Panini was very good and worth a return trip. A little disappointed both meals were missing a pickle, (not sure if they were out of stock or forgotten) if you enjoy pickles with your sandwiches I recommend asking for one. Indoor and outdoor dining was available, we found that the indoor dining area had a bit of a high temperature for early summer. Staff was friendly and wore gloves while bringing our food out to the table. The lemon and chocolate baby bundt cakes were the shining stars of the meal. I will likely return to this location soon to try out more menu items.

I ordered their buttermilk pancakes on Ubereats and they were really good so I decided to stop by and dine in this morning. The first thing that stood out was how friendly and welcoming the staff was. I ordered the Anaheim panini, blueberry pancakes and chai tea latte.The food and drinks came out pretty quick and they were hot, looked great and tasted even better. 10/10, will definitely be making this spot a regular.

This was my first time eating here and it was a pleasant experience. Loved the salad that I had. They have large portions cause I got the 1/2 size serving and was full at the end of the meal.

I have to start by saying me and my daughter ate lunch her and the service was great. I left my wallet and didn't even know it was gone. I got a call right before they closed from Xavier letting me know it was there and he'll wait for me to pick it up. When I got there, a employee I'm going to call Z for short lol, who was the same person that served us earlier, told me she found it where we where sitting. I didn't get there until they closed, and they were still waiting patiently. Greatly appreciate them and I'll definitely be back!

Got the Anaheim omelette per cashiers advice. Terrible decision; ended up not finishing the omelette. There was barely two small slices of avocado. Some parts of my omelette was still cold. I disagree with others who said the breakfast here is better than lunch options. As long as you get a quick and easy to make sandwich, you won't be too disappointed. I've been to other corner bakeries for lunch and they were significantly better. The only reason I would even think about coming back is the friendly service and cashier who was a doll.

This is my 2nd visit and compared to the first it's very disappointing. The first visit I very much enjoyed the pancakes and I knew with my pancake craving this would be a solid choice today. Ordered Pancakes with the trimmings. Displayed my New Year Treat coupon and the cashier had a little issue with it so she called the manager. He came over to assist and noticed we ordered pancakes. "We out of batter" SERIOUSLY! So now we had to order something we really didn't want. Ended up with a Grill Cheese and Cesar Salad.. wack right? After almost 30 mins the food comes out. My companion had a Caesar salad and cheddar and broccoli soup. Everything was the same temperature.. why? The soup and the grill cheese (cheese was terrible, at least serve Kraft) was lukewarm in addition to the coffee. After going to the front to get my dressing for my limp salad, I see why. Everyone is standing around joking and laughing, so its reasonable to assume our food sat for a period of time. While I would try Corner Bakery again, it will not be at this location.

This was supposed to be a Caesar salad. Old, brown lettuce. I had to go out to get a fresh lunch elsewhere.

I had a great conversation and a great breakfast the other day! It's generally quiet for breakfast if you want a place to sit and think/relax/work or like me have a good conversation with a friend. The breakfast I got was fresh, hot and filling.

Just had the best catered box lunch from Corner Bakery a few hours ago at an affair held at One Bala Plaza in Bala Cynwyd, PA. The two of us shared two delicious box lunches; one was turkey with Swiss cheese and the other was ham and cheese. They came with a green apple, kettle potato chips, a big fancy cookie and a napkin. The sandwiches were cut in half so they were easy to share. Plenty of bottled water was sitting nearby. It's important to mention that I live nearby and frequent the Corner Bakery at least one time every week for the past few years. Their 10% senior discount doesn't hurt either. 4-25-19

If you've never been to a Corner Bakery think of Jason's deli and Panera and you're in the right neighborhood. Breakfast and lunch on the same menu with salads, soups and sandwiches. The baked goods are amazing especially the cookies. I came in and ordered the turkey avocado blt. Fresh sliced turkey, sliced avocado, tomatoes and lettuce all on fresh whole wheat bread. Chips on the side of course and a pickle slice. The sandwich was flavorful and full of meat and toppings. The service here is quick and they bring the food to your table. If you want healthy options and fast food this is your spot.

I have to change my review because of poor customer service. I just left this place, and I attempted to use my credit card here. There was a note on their machine that you have to "swipe" your card instead of inserting it in the chip reader. I did just that, and the machine showed me a message that said,"Card Error." My card has the chip, so sometimes I have to swipe it a few times for machines such as this one (older machines, I guess) to run it through. Well, their cashier was kind enough to announce in front of a whole line of people,""Your card has been declined!" No....IDIOT! There is a big difference between a card being declined and a card error. How dare you announce to the world that my card was declined? I just thought this was very rude and inconsiderate, especially since the problem was with their MACHINE and not with my CARD. If you're a manager of this location, you might want to have a chat with your cashiers. I'm sure we have all been in this situation at least ONCE, and I did not appreciate his attempt at embarrassing me.

Loved this place in the past especially when it was pretty new. Recently went back and had an okay experience. They have a great selection, everything fairly priced. Got the "Uptown Turkey Avocado" which was just fine. They didn't give me chips, I didn't say anything. Their fountain drinks were all overly carbonated. A solid chain option, probably just hit them on a bad day.
