Google
Absolutely one of the best chicken fried steaks I've had in a long time. Absolutely the best and the most friendly waitresses cooks and people you've ever met. I highly recommend stopping into the bar and saying hi to the bartender. You'll have the best waitress in the world in the restaurant while you enjoy your food

Jessica M.

Google
Awesome spot to get a drink and he food was amazing. Best clam chowder in the area. Had 6 people in our group and not one complaint. They also have a pool table. Bartender took excellent care of us even though it was busy.

Google
So I had seen a friend's post about how good this place was, so I decided to try it ... well, it was ok. I had the cfs, and im sure it was just a frozen patty deep-fried, but most are . The gravey was just ok, too. The eggs were cooked the way I like, however, so there's that . The hash browns were crispy and not soggy, perfect for my runny eggs. Service was dare I say ok ... lol I think she was there alone and working about 10 tables at once, so I'm not gonna say anything other than I got what needed. Ok, so the price is high, but I get it. I'm old, and this ain't the 90s, and they need to make money, but man, breakfast used to be relatively cheap now, its dinner prices. I'm not sure I'd go back if I'm being real, but I can see why people like it, and you should try it to if you're in the neighborhood.

Google
I counted seven cameras, watching me as I sat in the booth. I ordered a fried sampler plate, it looks like the oyster was grabbed off the floor. The shrimp were absolutely disgusting and the fish I could squeeze the oil out of. The beer was flattened, questionable flavor, which was sad because it was one of my favorite beers that is on tap locally here and somehow they ruined it. I wouldn’t have even bothered to review if it weren’t for all the cameras that were watching us. That was absolutely ridiculous and I should’ve just walked away. But maybe people get rowdy in there and they need cameras for lawyers or something who knows

Josh N.

Google
Ordered the fish tacos with a group of us. The food took 45min to come out for lunch when the restaurant was not busy. The tacos were also flavorless, the salsa tasted like it was mostly ketchup, the tortillas fell apart, and the avocado wasn't ripe. The pro was that the fish was cooked perfectly. The sandwiches ordered in the group looked good, so with the couple pros - 2 stars

Google
This rating is based on the Corner Restaurant. We love the service each time. It is amazing food and great environmental consciousness with remaining to use their reusable dishes. The restaurant is family friendly and a great joy to be seated. We come back time and time again from out of town just for the service.

Google
Went in for lunch because we saw they served halibut. Ordered and it was awful. Fish was cold and raw when they brought it out the first time. We sent it back, they brought us more and it was a little better but not much. Still pretty raw in the middle. I felt bad for the waitress, she was doing a great job,and genuinely felt bad. She did discount our meal but it was inedible.

Google
Outstanding fish and chips (Crispy), vegetables, tarter sauce, French fries, cup of prime rib barley soup, garlic toast. Outstanding service, Charlene one of the best servers, excellent customer service, this place is spotless clean and menu selection is a 10. Will be back for dessert as the carrot cake sounds outstanding.

Yelp
What a great breakfast! The omelette was amazing. The coffee kept coming. The staff were attentive and friendly. It looked like other customers were enjoying the place as much as I was.

Yelp
So, I ordered a delivery so I'll just be commenting on the food itself and not the service, etc. I purchased the combo seafood platter that comes with two fish, two oysters, two prawns, and clam strips. In addition, the platter included the soup of the day, fries, and garlic bread. Well, I had high hopes, as this was my first experience with the Corner Bar and Grill. They forgot the oysters (or were out of them). Everything left, unfortunately, was overdone as to render all the seafood extremely dry and tough. The breading for the fish and prawns was gross. The fries were ok. The garlic bread tasted like the butter had gone bad or something and was really disgusting. The tartar sauce tasted almost like straight mayo. The beef vegetable soup, however, was really tasty. It was the small bright spot. I can for sure recommend it. It is possible that other items on the menu are quite good, but the seafood was crap. I got a refund from Uber Eats. So, I am not out a significant chunk of money, but I would of rather had a good dining experience.

Cole E.

Yelp
Food was pretty burnt. I got the cheese burger and my mom got the oysters. They were definitely overcooked/burnt. Service was okay but there's flies everywhere and they will land on your food. Fries where okay though

Rob D.

Yelp
Stopped in because they had a sign out for great fried chicken. Went in placed an order to go to share with my friends at work. After having to wait 40 minutes I finally had to leave without food so we didn't get lunch. Can't critique the food but probably won't come back

Yelp
Great food. Had the Ruben sandwich and Bacon Turkey melt. Lots of beacon, and the Ruben sandwich was absolutely delicious. Would retand come back again.

Jerad G.

Yelp
Stiff pours. Cold pints. Delicious food. Friendly staff. Could you ask for anything else? How about a 24 hour market next? Yup that's a thing. So you can get a six pack to go or some munchies to soak up the alcohol in your stomach. It's definitely got a divey feeling in the lounge. But in a classy kind of way.

Helen O.

Yelp
We have been going to The Corner restaurant for many years. They had a punch card and when you filled it you got $10 off your bill. When we went to use it the other day we were told it's no longer accepted because there is a new owner. i think they should have honored ones that are filled and said they are no longer doing it so you don't expect to get a card from now on. I think this was handled rather rudely. We decided we will take our business somewhere else because of the rudeness and we've told our friends about it. This may sound petty but it took us lots of money and time to get our card filled. Plus we came from Oak Harbor to eat there.
google avatar

Yelp
Wanted to eat here, but really busy on weekends. So stop in today. We got shrimp, prawns, and clam chowder. All were excellent and hot. Waitress was nice and polite. We will be back.

Yelp
The best diner food, especially breakfast. The owner is super friendly and very attentive. Love this place!

Yelp
We were looking for a place for dinner not too far from our Airbnb and the Corner Bar and Grill fit the bill. The pot roast was good and my wife's salad was as well. Friendly service and well priced.
google avatar

Yelp
I've waited a long time to try this place out-- my mistake-- because it is a great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Great food and great service, with a nice interior ambience-- wooden booths and spacious. I've had the meat lovers omelet (4 egg omelet)-- which was cooked perfectly and a generous portion. Also like their biscuits, hashbrowns and pancakes. Will be back often

Liz D.

Yelp
This review is for the Corner Restaurant. I am always uncertain about a restaurant that has a strong odor of disinfectant, but the place was clean. We stopped for breakfast before heading out of town. The waiter was very nice and the food was great! I had the Milworker with blueberry pancakes and hubby had the meat lovers omelette with toast and hashbrowns. Both were great choices and the bill was less expensive than any other breakfast place in Anacortes. We even had leftovers!
google avatar

Oedipa H.

Yelp
Fantastic regional Chinese. Don't miss the cumin lamb, mapo tofu (get to know that tingle!), or grandma's potatoes. I also adore the chrysanthemum tea. Great outdoor seating!
google avatar

Kerri B.

Yelp
I live close and have been often but service has gone to shit. Don't go to the restaurant if you want good service you should just go to the bar? There's always people there. The same average food is In both places, but I'm sure you'll get way better service in the bar even even though I've never been there.. Having one overwhelmed and inexperienced waitress and 1 cook run a restaurant doesn't work, Period.

Renae T.

Yelp
It was our first time trying the place after driving by so many times. The two waitresses were smoking outside at the front door so when we walked in they did too with their smoker odor in tow. That was a turn off at the start. Very 1980's vibe, original oak/wooden booths and 80's decor but clean. We got breakfast, the Millworker and a veggie omelette. It was a fluffy omlette, done well and it has onions, green peppers and mushrooms. It was filled with onions, way too many and it would be great to have different veggies or more but all in all good. My husband thought his was great, as ordered.

Yelp
Good bar if you like to drink before you go other section of town . Reasonable , warm you up . Friendly local restaurant/ bar

Yelp
This used to be our go to spot from 2014-2017. We had the opportunity to go here in 2019 and had a great time. Went there today (9/13/23) and it was a really rough experience. The service was super slow and there was only one other table while we were there. No refills on our coffee. We had to go up to the register to pay. Our waitress came to our table three separate times to take our order...the first time, she left to grab the phone. The second time, I think she just forgot something and the third time she finally took our order. It was just not a good experience and very disappointing. Two stars for the nostalgic good times we used to have.

Yelp
After working up quite an appetite from our hike at Deception Pass, our friends took us here for lunch. We were seated right away. The crew was fine, and we were helped right away. I ordered a Large fish and chips basket. The fish and chips basket included 3 pieces of fish with fries, coleslaw, and garlic toast. The fish was decent, but I expected better. Fries, coleslaw, and bread were all average at best. My wife had the Combination basket. It included fries, coleslaw, and a variety of fried fish. She was not too impressed with the taste. Overall, the food was satisfactory. Probably would not return here though because it just did not impress. Had much better fish and chips at all the other places we visited during our road trip. By the way, they also have a little convenience store and gasoline station next door.

Sadie R.

Yelp
If you want a no fuss atmosphere and a great pub menu, this is your place. Friendly staff, great drinks and the menu is really nice. You can tell they aren't serving re-heated frozen food like some of the other places off the beaten path. Definitely not a place to go if you're looking for diet low cal options, but if you want a great burger or fish and chips, you'll be happy here. There is a great outdoor area as well to enjoy on nice days.

Donna B.

Yelp
Great service and atmosphere! My husband has driven by here for 14 years in his semi, we were up here on a Saturday and stopped in for nachos, they were great and the waiter was even better and so friendly! Thank you Joquin

Yelp
My husband and I were the only ones in the restaurant on a Sat night at 8. My husband had the ginormous primer rib with mashed potatoes and fresh cooked veggies. I had the breakfast dish "Corner Special." Chicken fried steak, eggs, hashbrown, toast. ALL of it was Delicous. My favorite was Loree the friendliest waitress. She waited on us better than my grandma. Very thorough. After or dinner we stopped in the bar. Angel was bartending. I was very happy with my whiskey sour and my husband with his 7/7. The bar was nice and relaxing. Good energy. Thanks Angel Well be back

Yelp
Great food... but I did ask for crispy bacon and didn't get it. But that's pretty typical of most places. They lost a star because they didn't stay on top of waters and coffee. Other than those petty things, I'd go again. I don't like having to start drinking my husbands water, who knows where he's been.
google avatar

Yelp
Fabulous!! Good food, Good serving size, and fast service, what more can you ask for!? Loved it.
google avatar

Kaye N.

Yelp
Little hole in the wall kind of place. We had breakfast and a drink on the "bar" side. The food was excellent and plentiful and I got a good stiff cocktail. There was indoor as well as outdoor seating available. Prices were very reasonable. I would definitely come back when in the area.

John C.

Yelp
Giving this a 2 star based on some good experiences I had here in the past. I have been coming here for years. About 6 months ago I had my first poor experience. Tried coming back a few more times in hopes of getting back to normal. On this last and final visit to The Corner; One of the eggs was burst and non-existent hidden under the hash browns. I was charged for the replacement. Toast was not toasted, butter not melted, bacon cold. On the other plate one egg was over easy and the other over hard when they were ordered over medium. Sad to lose this place I used to enjoy.
google avatar

Ele P.

Yelp
Food was ok. Nothing to write home about. One server for the time we were there plus a bus boy. Server did not seem organized or was frazzled. We waited a long time for every step: water, ordering, refills, food, bill. It was a bit comical that the iced tea was not available and everyone wanted iced tea. Suggest that anyone who works there know how to operate the machines not just 'the morning crew'. If the tea is out and it's five pm it doesn't do anyone any good to push blame. Also, more than eight customers wanted iced tea.
google avatar

Tina K.

Yelp
I work in the area and have ordered take out from here on a couple of occasions now. I have had burgers and fries, fish and chips and a few other menu items. Service has always been quick and friendly. Food has always been hot and correct to my requests. It is standard diner food served hot and friendly at a Bar and Grill attached to a Gas Station/Convenience Store. For a quick bite after a day at the beach without breaking the bank it's a good choice.
google avatar

Chargerfryar 1.

Yelp
My coworkers and I like to stop in here for breakfast. But that's about it. Everytime I've come in before 8 am for breakfast, the food is good and service quick. Everytime I've come in after 8 am for Anything, the food and the service are wildly inconsistent. Some of the servers just don't seem to give a flip about "service". So I don't go here anymore for anything but very early in the morning breakfast.
google avatar

James B.

Yelp
This place, at least for breakfast, deserves a much better rating. I can't speak to the rest of the menu because I've only had three of the most scrumptious, hearty, and fresh breakfasts that I've ever had. And I used to eat at Juilan's in Providence, so I know breakfast. And sure, I have failed to branch out of chorizo scramble territory because it is just. That. Good. I can't get anything else and when it comes to the table by the always lovely server, all I can think is, "I can never finish this." Then, when I am eating it, I realize that I can't stop. I strap in and take my time. The thing that really brings it together is the scratch-made chorizo, made by the owner who might be Mexican. Hopefully he doesn't get deported by future president Trump because this chorizo is the ONLY thing that should be illegal! For how effing awesome and perfect it is. See. There's a delicate balance between greasy salty chorizo and perfect chorizo. This is the latter. I'm literally high from eating this. Did you know that really good chorizo could get you HIGH? Well, now you do. You're welcome. Chorizo head

Yelp
Solid place to eat for breakfast. Not spectacular but good and the portions are enough to leave you full. Will come back and try it again when I'm in the area. Ordered the daily breakfast special and the meat (prime rib) was way to well done and dry but everything else was good.
google avatar

Jay T.

Yelp
Ate there today . My wife ordered the prawns , I ordered the Liver and Onions and my daughter ordered the Chicken strips. Everything was tasty and great .. Food was served hot and quick and tasted good. the vegetables that came with entrees were freshly grilled and not that frozen crap you get at most places. Next time I am in the area I will definitely eat there. My only complaint and it's not much is that the menu said that the Liver and Onions was $8.95 but they charged me $10.95 for it on the bill .. Not a big deal but still kind of like unexpected , especially when you are counting your pennies.
google avatar

Yelp
What a tourist trap. Must be the only way they stay in business. We had dinner here. Food was mediocre, and that's being generous. Terrible service for as many people were in there. You can do much better than this place.
google avatar

Steve C.

Yelp
As a part-time resident of Anacortes, and living toy Deception Pass State Park we stopped by this place on a semi-regular basis. It's not a fancy cloth napkin type of restaurant, but the food is good, solid wholesome and good Homestyle Cooking. I've never had a bad meal here, and the portions are very generous for the price once we moved here full-time, this is going to be my standard 6 your ribs style restaurant when I just want to get a good at a good price. Prime rib special on the weekend it is especially good bargain.
google avatar

Arleen E.

Yelp
Stopped in for a late lunch before heading to Deception Pass. It was past 1:30 pm so the restaurant emptied out from the lunch rush on a Friday with only a few tables occupied. Our server immediately came over and took our orders. Their burgers were juicy and the Fries were nice and crispy. Our server was very engaging recommending places to see and things to do in the area. Prices are reasonable making The Corner a good place to stop for a quick bite.
google avatar

Norm S.

Yelp
The service was good, but the salmon that I ordered was WAY overdone. They did take it off the bill, but I was disappointed nonetheless.
google avatar

D J.

Yelp
Discovered this road-side cafe en-route to the Deception Pass state park in Whidbey island, about 90 min from Seattle. The surrounds being rather uninviting, the interior being relatively unexceptional and our group being hungry but eager to get to Puget Sound, made the decision to take-out and boy were we glad we did. The burgers (and yeah, even the black bean burger with chipotle sauce) were awesome, the fries greasy and good, and I have it from very reliable sources that their much touted fresh strawberry shortcake was indeed scrumptious...what made it perfect was that it turned out to be a great spot to stop and stock up for an unplanned picnic by the waterfront. So if you're ever in the area, don't bother with picnic hampers, just grab-n-go from Corner Bar!
google avatar

Kurtis L.

Yelp
We stayed at the Fidalgo Country Inn and wanted somewhere for a quick breakfast before we drove over Deception Pass and headed home. When we got there a little before 8am it was pretty empty. There were just a couple of people there. We sat in the back corner and the waitress immediately met us back there, gave us menus and took our drink orders. The waitress promptly returned and took our food orders. She was great! Very nice, friendly, and attentive. (Without being annoying) The food was good. I am not going to say it was the best I have ever had, but it was pretty dang good. My girlfriend ordered the corned beef hash and I ordered the chicken fried steak. We both really liked our meals. Great service, good food, comfortable atmosphere. We will gladly come back again in the future and I recommend you do as well.
google avatar

Linda S.

Yelp
We stayed in the area two days and enjoyed a late dinner one night and an early breakfast the following morning. The menu is typical American diner food - nothing special, but everything we had was tasty and hit the spot. Dinner for the two of us was a sirloin steak with baked potato, a cheeseburger, and green salads. Breakfast was French toast and sausage & eggs. The service was above average and friendly. At breakfast, the waitress had time to chat with us about local sights, which was helpful. A bar is attached, but we didn't venture into that side of the building, but judging by the number of cars in the parking lot, it was doing good business on a Wednesday night.
google avatar

Jessica R.

Yelp
This place is simply good ol' American favorites in truck-stop like location. You have to bus or drive to get there. I had the steak special which came with a tiny baked Russet potato. My husband had the turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy. Nothing fancy, just simple, affordable American food. We also took a slice of fresh blueberry pie to go and it was killer. Sometimes you just want a menu with ingredients and names that any tom dick or harry can pronounce:) Also--great customer service and pretty decent salad bar. I'm guessing their breakfasts are good too and we'll be checking that out shortly..
google avatar

Michelle J.

Yelp
This place has gone down hill with the food. Not only the taste but smaller portions. I had dried out steak on so many occasions that I wouldn't let my dog chew on because it would probably choke on it. And the liver is well over done jerky. They cut the fish portion in 1/2. It doesn't even feed my 5 yr old grandson. This place used to be great for dinner, not anymore. The staff is great. Now the breakfast is good. It's very disappointing in all ways of the food. The change in cook staff or bad training I'm just not sure. Smaller portions, what the heck is going on with that???
google avatar

Yelp
After a day of driving and walking around the parks, hubby and I were so hungry. This was the first place we saw that looked like it served "real" food, so we stopped. The waitress was very nice and seemed to know about the items on the menu. The prices were reasonable. There was a large selection of types of food. It was quiet, and it was a nice country-ish place. I ordered the Parisian burger, which was a hamburger patty with cheese on a French roll w/ black olives, mushrooms and what the waitress described as a "dill aeoli". I had it with potato salad. Hubby had a burger with guacamole and bacon, and he got it with fries. The Parisian burger was just ok. The first few bites seemed great, but I think it was just because I was hungry because by the end I had pulled the patty out and was just eating the rest. It was WAY overcooked & tough. The cheese tasted like that "forever cheese" slices Kraft makes. The black olives were ok, the roll was good, the mushrooms and sauce were great, but it needed more of both. The potato salad was good. Hubby said his burger was great, however. And I ate several of his fries which were awesome. For the location, price, and service, I'd say it's a good place to go. We did not get to try any of the seafood. If I go back, I definitely will.
google avatar

Frank B.

Yelp
Bar food good, restaurant food decent, deli food gross. Look at my pics of wht I found in my lunch from the deli! The beer pitchers are cheap, and the bar also has karaoke. The local guys that come in are all douche bags. The help, waitresses, servers, and bar tenders, are awesome and polite. From the minute you walk in, your night can go either way.
google avatar

Cindy P.

Yelp
We just stopped for a break after riding for an hour. We didn't order any food so I'm not rating the food, I'm rating the experience. It wasn't good just based on the service (or lack there of)! I don't think we'd go here to eat - just didn't have the right vibe. The server was more interested in pleasing the locals sitting at the bar than waiting on new customers - I don't like when that happens!

Deirdre M.

Yelp
We have been to this restaurant 5 times in the last few weeks. It is some of the best food I have had in many years. Salads are fresh the french fries are absolutely fantastic we've had burgers breakfast items sandwiches all fresh and delicious it is about 3 miles outside of Anacortes Washington and might go to choice. The staff is very attentive and very friendly. Highly recommend. We haven't been in the bars area. So can't review that area

Gloria H.

Yelp
Staff is very nice, food tasty...but a lot of it! The draw back are the drunks at the patio bar next to it.

D M.

Yelp
Stopped for breakfast very slow service the food was barley warm and a hair in the hashbrowns really nice. The place is dirty should of used the down time to clean it up. Advice just drive by
google avatar

Scott C.

Yelp
I live close, so convince is great. Breakfast is always awesome here. Went to dinner one night and I ordered the dip sandwich. I should have known by the description on the menu that this was an "after thought" for the menu. It said Dip sandwich either beef or burger. I went with the beef. It was the most pathetic dip I've ever seen, I'm sure the hospital has a better dip sandwich on there menu then this worthless waist of space on the menu. It came to the table and it was so small that I had to do a double take through the mountain of fries to find it. Looks like the cook put two slices of flat roast beef on a French roll and stood on top of it and jumped up and down a few times, then served it to me. My wife and I could not stop laughing at how pathetic this thing looked. Beyond that, the service was great from the waitress. Probably just stick to breakfast here.

Yelp
Ummm never again! Me and a friend wanted to grab something to eat on the way to Burlington so we stopped at the Corner before we headed out. As we went and sat we immediately got our drinks. We waited 15 minutes and decided to get up and leave. All the waitresses did was walk pass back and forth not even asking could we be helped or have we been helped! Wasn't even busy!! There was two/three couples. As we was leaving one of the waitress says are you leaving and we said yes! She says OK all jolly. Then about to walk out we see the other waitress standing around like wth. Racist. Never again.

Daren M.

Yelp
Last time I tried to eat at the Corner, the food was terrible. I Thought they might just be having a bad night, so I tried again. Turns out this place is just bad, very bad. (see burnt Club House photo I posted) Avoid this place The wait staff just does not care Enjoy your food!!!!
