Great location excellent service good food. I got the chicken skewers with the side of lavash bread perfect meal. They have a good selection of different foods and good portions. You can sit inside or outside decently price place to visit if you want to eat out in Mill Valley.

The Corner Bar is an amazing addition to Mill Valley. Their food is outstanding and so is their service. I love how they constantly add new and innovative items to their menu. Jason and his entire staff know how to take care of their guests and make everyone feel welcome. Weekends after dinner are a happening scene. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already.

Good food all around but 4% “living wage” fee that you don’t see until *after* you’ve paid and asked for the printed receipt, and, the tip options on the handheld machines are based on the bill total *after* taxes. When settling up I was also not shown the itemized bill, which is standard at most other restaurants- I was just told the total amount and then prompted to pay on the machine. Would appreciate more transparency around the bill. Regarding living wage fees, would rather see this cost rolled into the normal menu prices. I’m always happy to see staff compensated fairly but there’s no reason for this to be broken out into a separate fee.

Where so I start... the nitro Grey Goose espresso martinis!!!! $10 happy hour?!?! All day.. EVERY day... I mean, come on.... Tucked away on Throckmorton Avenue, a place to see and be seen. Talk about a hidden gem. Corner Bar Restaurant is worth discovering downtown Mill Valley. The lamb neck dish is outstanding—tender and bursting with flavor. But what really stood out were the cocktails: the "Ultima Palabra" with charred pineapple-infused mezcal and the "Spa Day" featuring Corazón Tequila Reposado were both excellent choices. With amazing service and a posh atmosphere, it's no surprise this spot has become a local favorite overnight. Don't miss out on experiencing it firsthand. I'll probablyyyyy be there, so don't be afraid to say hi. Also, Karla, Jason, Peter, Lance (yes, from the cruising Club)and Henry are excellent at creating the humble and sheik atmosphere we all crave. Thank you for making it happen! Good drinks, delicious food, fun atmosphere. The old fashioned was great, and the king salmon tartare was good too. Also enjoyed the French fries. Check em out

Good food, creative drinks, but poorly managed. Drinks are very good, food is excellent (!) if a tad disorganized (some dishes came out in 3 minutes, some in 20), and the hostess is terribly organized and to be blunt just not good at her job (tight clothes, not so sharp with time). She told us 30 minutes and it was an hour and 30 minutes, she seated at least 3 parties who came in later ahead of us because we were three and they were 2’s or 6. The 6 came in 30 minutes after us and she sat then 30 minutes in front of us. And she just got confused easily. Rest was really good.

Good food! Great cocktails! Vibrant atmosphere. (But can get noisy)

The good: The overall vibe and service are excellent. The food was tasty. We had the Mezza platter, wings, deviled eggs, and Chicory salad. All of it was good. The bad: I ordered an old fashion and a new drink they offered, coconut something. Both were poorly constructed. I don't like sweet drinks at all but whoever made these missed the mark on balancing the different elements. The old fashion was without even a hint of sweet and way too watery. The coconut drink was on its way to being good but lacked enough sweet to balance the sour elements. For a proclaimed craft cocktail bar this was super disappointing. In definitely willing to give it another try. Cool spot overall.

Was there one thing that stood out to make me give it a 5 stars? The answer is a hard no. It was more the overall experience. The disclaimer I'm going to make is if you're someone who prefers to stick to the same thing or traditional flavors then this isn't the spot. They like to play with flavors, like adding tzatziki to the burger and salt and olive oil to the ice cream. We were greeted at the door and asked whether we would be joining them for dinner or just cocktails, for proper seating. We said both and were seated at the table. Vincent was fabulous and provided the most conscientious service we've received in a long time. They have 2 bars, I know WOW!!! With indoor and outdoor seating, quite cute. And, they make great cocktails. Well balanced and boozy, both the Manhattan and old fashioned. They also have a great selection of high end etoh. Got hubby to try Blanton gold, which I haven't found anywhere else. As for food, we ordered the duck wings and shared a burger. Got 6 wings, which was perfect for us. On a side note, read a review criticizing the portion for the price of wings. We felt it was appropriate as they're duck wings, and duck is more expensive than chicken. Furthermore, the burger had a thick patty and was cooked to our specification with crafted flavors.

In my experience Corner Bar was not successful as a restaurant, but could be seen as successful as a bar. Logistics: The space opens at 4pm - but for some reason did not serve food until 5pm which isn't listed on the menu or their hours, but is listed in one small place on their landing page. They have two sections of patio seating - four tables for parties of 2+, and four tables for 1-2 people. The tables for the larger parties are normal sized tables, but the 1-2 person tables are very small and can fit at most two appetizers. We would have preferred sitting at the larger tables as they were in the sun because even though the restaurant opens at 4pm, there are no built in heaters for their patio. Their site also states the outside tables are first come first serve (no outside reservations) which according to a note a server handed us, is incorrect. Food: In my experience, although the quality of the ingredients was very high, every single dish we had was either poorly designed or poorly executed. The brussels sprouts were an unbalanced dish. Very heavy on the vinegar, they were covered in a flavorless cheese with spicy peppers interspaced throughout. For five or six bites it would give vinegar, then when you got a pepper it would give nothing but fire. The breading on the calamari was thick and almost flavorless, however the sauce it came with was well done and saved the dish, so personally I felt it was the most successful of everything we ordered, Additionally, I personally enjoyed the duck although the honey did not. Like other reviewers have stated, there was very little meat on the wings and overall it would have made a better impression as a duck egg roll. For my entree I had the halibut. My experience with the dish really depresses me because the fish was so perfectly cooked, and so perfectly seasoned. It was absolutely mouth-watering and they stuck it on top of this horrible vegan goulash. Under the perfectly cooked fish was a mix of whole chickpeas (without skin removed), sliced green beans and peas, drowned in a salsa soup. If they had just plated the halibut and done a pea puree it would have been chefs kiss, but as it was it was so unbalanced - there aren't even words. At the end of the day, there just seems to be an issue in how Corner Bar's menu was designed and the logistics of the space so bringing in a new chef to redesign and installing heaters above the tables would likely go a long way.

This place is great example of what a bar / restaurant should strive to be. Beginning with their friendly staff and management whom have gone out of their way to please speaks for itself. They serve quality drinks and great bites to eat as well. Check out their cool leather bound menu which offers great bottles of wine also. Perfect spot for a date up front with top tier views of downtown and just clean comfortable front of the house seating.

First time in Mill Valley and tried corner bar. Stayed outside was offered a blanket. This plate is good for two. The non alcoholic drink I ordered is really refreshing. It's nice treat if you just want to enjoy the night sprinkly weather.

Came here on a busy Saturday night without reservations. We did put our name down for a table initially & then headed to the bar for a drink. Before we finished those drinks, we found a nice spot to sit with loads of space for us to play our board game. We did ask the bartender first if we could play as we weren't sure if this place was vibey like that and he 100% approved. Loved that for us. To eat, we ordered the chips and dips (yum), Wagyu beef carpaccio (phenomenal!) and the duck wings l'orange (exceptional!). Service was a bit slow at first but once we got settled down, it was more attentive. Only one bartender per bar at such a busy spot but it worked. Wow, I love this place. This place is popping. I came here on a Friday evening and it felt like the entire town was here. Highly recommend making a reservation in advance if you're going during peak hours or times. Parking was fairly easy to find I parked about a couple spots away from the restaurant. I love the ambience the side it's warmly and darkly lit perfect for date night or gathering with friends. They don't have a lot of large table. I wouldn't say hosting something. Here is perfect. However, I think they can accommodate. I would recommend calling them. They have so many delicious food but the one that I didn't want ketchup on my burger, but they put ketchup on the burger so I didn't really end up eating it. Caviar was amazing. Drinks were very delicious. The manager there was a phenomenal. He was so welcoming so sweet. He knew everybody on the restaurant. Definitely a great experience. Highly recommend checking this out if you're in the area and make sure you reserve a table!

Corner Bar is fantastic! I've had amazing speciality cocktails here, classic cocktails, great beer and a killer martini. All the bartenders and servers are friendly and fun to hangout with. I'm obsessed with the duck wings as well - SO GOOD! The burger is amazing too. Such a great addition to our county!

We dined here for the first time recently for our wedding anniversary and were seated outside at a tiny bar table. However, when I reminded the hostess of the special occasion, she quickly moved to us to a proper outdoor table, which we appreciated. She also offered blankets for when the weather cooled down, which was a kind touch. We started with non-alcoholic beer and the salmon tartare w/ latkes appetizer, followed by the chicories salad (all delicious). I had the seared sea bass w/ baba ghanoush (creative & perfectly cooked!) and my husband enjoyed the kale & truffle ravioli (he was surprised it was just one large ravioli, but it was filling). Our server was exceptional--personable, prompt, and knowledgeable. The inside staff was also very friendly and helpful when I went in to use the restroom. My only critique is that, surprisingly, there was no coffee (regular or decaf) to go with our pot de creme. It may seem like a small oversight for an otherwise thoughtfully planned restaurant, but sharing a rich chocolate dessert after a lovely meal just isn't the same without a hot cup of decaf coffee. Its absence left us feeling a little disappointed, and next time we will just skip dessert and pop across the street to Angela's for ice cream instead. Otherwise, we enjoyed an excellent evening and look forward to our next visit.

As good as it gets. Service, interior, food, cocktails, beer choices. This team is firing on all cylinders. If you live in the area get the corner bar in your rotation. Our recent visit was nothing short of amazing. Marin is an ocean of heroically mediocre food, and the corner bar is in a very small fraternity of restaurants that have it all. We will continue to make the drive all the way from San Rafael. We tell anyone that will listen about what a gem this place is. My wife always has a cocktail while I drank the local beer they have on tap from Fairfax Brewing company, both were perfect. The food was also lights out. Jamie absolutely killed it! She was attentive, kind, and charming as hell. The corner bar outside seating was delightful and I'm grateful for the option because I wanted to talk without yelling. The drinks were delicious and we had an awesome time. Thank you Jamie, great job!

We absolutely loved corner bar and will be coming back!! The service was fabulous and the quality of everything was top notch. We ordered the $44 prefix menu which was bomb and then some drinks (ultima palabra, up in smoke)!! The wagyu carpaccio, mezze plate, calamari were really good as well. We will absolutely be back. Corner Bar is the latest permutation of this site. I have only eaten the fries and had the N/A beer, but the service is great as is the vibe, cleanliness, price-point, ambience, and location. This is the second time I've been here, and I absolutely love the little two seats in the entranceway that is just big enough for my wife, my dog and myself!

We four arrived at a peak time, got last table available, so I'll ease up on slow service - and yes it was slow. We had to practically beg for more water. Most, but not all dishes were good. Others fell on the side of tasty while others fell flat. When it was time for the bill, the waitress walked up and gave us a dollar amount from her machine- no paper breakdown. It seemed to be about right. I asked if there were any fees added in. "No" she said. We paid and later reviewing the printout, there was an additional 4% stuck in there. She said it was NOT a fee, but rather a "tax that (she) couldn't do anything about." After some discord, she later offered to remove the 4%. It's a shame restaurants have to stoop to these extremes. My advice: there's lots of restaurants in Mill Valley - look around.

Pretty good bar in a great location! This place is very inventive, so be prepared for some unique drinks and desserts. We had the pink peppercorn ice cream, which I loved but may be an acquired taste for some. The drinks were amazing too!

The food, service, and ambience was excellent. We need to go back and try a couple other dishes . We will continue to patronize the place.

I saw this place on the news so decided to check it out since I happened to be near Mill Valley. The espresso martini is decent and pretty worth it since it's only $10. I liked the salmon tartare as well, but it's over priced. As for the duck wings, the Grand Marnier orange glaze was tasty, but the wings itself is super disappointing since there's barely any meat on it and it's dry. For $22 it felt like a rip off since I barely ate anything.

Fantastic food, drinks and atmosphere! This is our go-to spot for a night out and place to bring friends. Excellent quality, professional and warm service, with reasonable prices. We're so lucky to have these restaurant veterans in town, giving us so many great options to enjoy! Thanks guys!

A super cute new bar in downtown Mill Valley with delicious food. My favorite things have been the Duck Wings with Grand Marnier orange glaze, the Corner Burger and fries, the Za'atar Shrimp Sword, and the King Salmon Tartare on a crispy potato latke -- and the bump of caviar, of course. ;) The only downside is how loud it can get inside, so just be prepared for that. They have a few outdoors seats that are definitely desirable.

Fun to have a new place in town! Food and drinks were great. Good place to people watch. Busy on a Saturday around 4:30pm. Some improvements - zero proof/NA cocktail options! - gluten free labeling on food menu or swaps (especially compared to Playa, by the same team)

One of the best margaritas I've ever had. The chips were delicious. I've never had potato's chips that good and the appetizers were also amazing. I'll definitely be back!

Hands down, undoubtedly the absolute worst service I've ever had at a restaurant. If you go there and they are even close to half capacity, I would go somewhere else because you're not gonna get decent service. We got seated immediately and waited. Probably a solid 10 minutes before the cups came out. No water followed. After another 20 minutes, we asked for water at which point they did take our order. We ordered two cocktails and an appetizer. After another 15 minutes, the martini came out without any olives and way too bitter. Finally the appetizer came out with no utensils, napkins nothing. It took another 20 minutes for us to get napkins at which point we already had to go to the bathroom to wash our hands. We made the unfortunate mistake of ordering another appetizer and this one never even made it to the table. After waiting another 25 minutes, we asked for our check only to find that both appetizers were included on the check. The waitress made it sound like she's doing me a favor by getting the other appetizer that we never received removed. All in all a horrible experience and I would not recommend this place.

My girlfriend and I loved Corner Bar. The minute we walked in we were greeted by 2 super pleasant employees - a lovely young woman and I believe one of the bartenders Josh or Julian. They immediately put us on the waitlist and escorted us to the bar to wait, grab a drink and look at the menu. It all worked out perfect because 2 folks left the bar and we got to eat right there which we wanted. The service was excellent! The food - amazing, really amazing. Above average app sizes. Josh and Julian were available every minute we needed something. And the sweet bussers Herardo and William were so polite making sure we were done before removing our plates. We will definitely be back. (Apologies in advance for not enough pics and half eaten food - it was just so good !)

The noise level was intolerable. We had to holler to hear each other at the table so we did very little chatting. I'm not sure if the waiter was new I couldn't hear us because of the noise but he seemed unsure about what we were saying. Also, in the company sent us an email saying for every ticket we would get a free appetizer and the waiter didn't know about it so spoke to the hostess who said no it's one appetizer per couple. That is not what it said on the email so she said she would talk to her manager and she never got back to us. No explanation no apology nothing. Rude also, three of us were brought our entrées and the fourth person had to wait 10 minutes for theirs. Good service would hold the three orders till the fourth was ready. I won't be returning

I really wanted to love this place and do agree that the atmosphere is great but the food was horribly bland and underwhelming and the service was just ok for a Tuesday night.

Just ate there for the third time. Wanted to love this place as I live in town. Great location and perfect for eating outside and people watching. Unfortnately the food is mediocre (Halibut and Burger) and service is not great either. Unfriendly wait staff (not everyone as my first visit was excellent service). Service outside is also super slow. Burger was warm (not hot) and small. Piece of fish was tiny for $34. Will not be going again.

A fun new spot in the heart of our beautiful Mill Valley. Great drinks starting at $10, not bad at all! And they do the trick :) The atmosphere is fun, unique and very vibrant. It is a bit loud inside but not impossible to hear others. So far, I had the corner burger, duck wings, grilled yellowfin tuna and roasted lamb neck.. all very delicious and have a unique twist of Mediterranean style. Their cheesecake is also very lovely dessert. It is very popular restaurant, so I would get reservations ahead of time. Great for groups or dates.

The Valley so needed a great bar, and on the corner at that. Serious cocktails, seriously fun crowd, lots of people watching free of charge. I'd go back just for the duck wings, already regretting not placing another order.

What a fresh new spot in Mill Valley! Unlike anything else, this is a great place to meet up with friends or make some new ones. Have a drink and share some tapas. But bring your luck or patience if it's a busy night, it can be hard to get in.

Well, I wish I could write a good review, but after I was seated (and I will say my reservation was honored) I was ignored for 15 minutes, getting thirsty and hungrier. Maybe it was because I was older than the very hip crowd--or maybe it's just bad service. But it was a weeknight. And nobody said a word when my party of three got up to leave.

I have come here twice for drinks and some food with friends. We all loved the mezza plate, cheese plate and crudite that we shared. The bread on the mezza plate was very delicious! The only downside for us is that it can be tough to get a table (though you can make a reservation!) and it can get very loud inside and be hard to sit and chat - definitely lives up to the bar name with the volume level. We had a great time, though, and I'm sure we will be back!

Fantastic, Fun and Fancy! Finally a nice place to have delicious drinks with yummy food. Carla made the cocktails fast and amazing. The place was packed for a Friday at 4! I want to go back tonight.

After an SF eater splash and some decent early Yelps I was looking forward to trying this place out. Overall, a serious disappointment and I wont be back. Seating - check out the review by George. He's not wrong about the amount of ass that overlaps table tops during navigation. I took a two top with my parter and the width between the adjoining tables was the length of an iPhone. I have an iPhone mini... Drinks - whisky sour. $10 what a deal! Come out with two nice Amara cherries. Lookin good. Take a sip - yep its sour with about 3 molecules of whisky. I typically appreciate a light pour but this makes that $10 drink no deal. Food - form over function at this point. Could be above average but the chef really needs to think and refine. The three items we ordered were not good. Mezze plate - hummus and muhamara with quinoa pilaf. Very nicely plated with crushed piscachios topping but lacking any attention to refined flavor. Hummus - *way* too salty and sour with no taste of fresh garbanzos, tahini, cumin or garlic (Sabra at Safeway is better). The muhamara was likely made from bland jarred peppers and lacked any brightness from fresh paprika or lemon. Quinoa - cooked nicely but just salt and garlic. Barely mediocre. Duck wings a'lorange - points for an interesting effort but major demerits for the chef not having the sense to pull this item as a fail. Duck not as meaty as chicken and also quite rich. After hitting the deep fryer, which renders out all of the fat, there is a huge bone with a bite or two of very dry stringy meat. The sauce - just sweet, sweet, sweet and a hint of orange. Nasty. Burger - culinary confusion reigns. Who could wreck a $21 burger? CornerBar put in an impressive attempt. Patty, havarti, tzatiiki, pickled onions and catsup? Ok lets take a lead from the shockingly tart and essentially dill-free tzatiiki sauce. If you're gonna make a greek inspired burger why does Denmark represent? Haloumi maybe? Who thought sour pickled onions were a good idea? Tzatiiki *and* catsup? Just no. Get ahold of yourself! Nothing about this burger made any sense and the flavor combo was actually bad. What?!? What's that? I can't hear what you want to tell me about my review. It was 100 decibels in the bar. My hearing is toast...

A new gem in Mill Valley. Excellent service and delicious food. Not a family friendly restaurant - better for 21+. Cheap drinks (espresso martini and whiskey sour for $10). I recommend the burger and the chip/dip. The duck wing were good but there was limited meat on the bone - would recommend choosing another dish. Overall would go back! Worth the wait.

Most amazing bar experience I have ever had in my life! Henry the bar lead has amazing knowledge, flavor profiles and the best personality I have ever seen. Between him and Julian this had been the best experience, bar and ambiance in Marin. Everyone must come and ask for Henry absolutely will be a regular here thank you!

The latest "sure, I guess?" spot in Mill Valley from the trio of proverbial cooks whose track record includes Playa (sure, I guess), Bungalow 44 (come for the mashed potato, but expect to want to go and fetch it yourself to bypass the lousy service), and of course, Buckeye Roadhouse, a restaurant so hopelessly bad - and, judging by the message they print on their receipts about paying their staff an equitable salary, slightly evil - that I wince when I see it on my way into the city. But I still went for dinner wanting to love the place. Mill Valley is long overdue a lively place for cocktails - or indeed any venue open after 8pm (which, I suppose, makes Corner Bar a qualified success). It's all roughly as coherent as you'd expect it to be: Anthropologie divorcee interior meets enormous TVs showing sports behind the bar. Girl in workout clothes next to us chatting with the chef, glamorous couple two sea-oh god oh god another giant ass pressed into my shoulder because there's almost literally no room between the tables and people have to choose which orifice will definitely definitely definitely touch a complete stranger as they squeeze by. (I lost my appetite when another butt knocked over my glass at the exact moment a waiter appeared carrying a lank, rubbery, tubular piece of beef on a comically empty plate.) The food is obviously totally incoherent with the decor and vibe and giant TVs playing sport and the constant sound of staff apologizing for the noise and asking people to repeat themselves (I am not exaggerating) - but apart from the rubber kebab, it is fair and might get better. Having said that, in addition to forcing patrons to be ass-to-face with the inhumane table layout, it's one of those places where the chef has never, ever, seen anybody attempt to serve plated food at the table, judging by the size of the dishes (big!) relative to the tables they are served on (very tiny! With lots of asses in your face!). Anyway, the bottom line is: 1) please can somebody else have a go at running a restaurant in Mill Valley now? and 2) sure, I guess?

Everything was great. I love this new spot owned by bungalow 44 and The Buckeye. The food is different than their other restaurants. I have no negative thoughts. Can't wait to go back again.

We loved this spot! The service was great and the vibes very lively! We ordered the Mezze, burger, and arugula salad and it was so tasty. The portions were large.

The ambience and decor were beautiful but the server was a bit condescending and curt. And who up-charges for ordering a martini up? Seriously? That is where they lost me.

I want to go back.... but won't until they fix the biggest problem: The sound is deafening, absolutely impossible to hear or converse. Peter and owners, please work on this. You may be loosing business otherwise and that's fixable. Thanks.

Been there a couple times and enjoyed it. I mean it's a great location in a picture perfect setting and I wanted to have some drinks and snacks w friends. It wasn't life changing but it hit the mark. I find it comical reading the experiences of the haters though. Too loud. Too crowded. Too cramped. C'mon haters snap out of it. This isn't Cracker Barrel. CB is spearheaded by a qualified restaurant group who decided to invest into a small local historic community trying to help infuse some night life back into it. Yo remember the pandemic? The restaurant business is STILL hurting industry wide locally and nationally. Stop embarrassing yourselves w rotten tomatoes hateful rhetoric and be thankful you have a new place to go to. In the end I'll make my own assessment and if I don't like it I'll keep my opinion to myself and go somewhere else.
