I love going to this little gem that is both off the beaten track and right in the center of things. It manages to be both due to it's top floor location in a town of mostly one-story buildings. The menu varies seasonally and is composed of small plates that can be ordered tapas style or sequenced as a multi-course meal. The wine list is interesting and broad. Most recently, I had the menudo, a traditional Mexican tripe soup. Zack's interpretation is far better than any mamacita's version, with a dark, smokey Chile base and succulent tripe and just the right amount of peppers and onions. I like to sit at the bar and chat with the owner, staff and other patrons, but I see couples and groups of six to eight there all the time. The sound track is always fabulous, ranging from classic jazz to really good music I had never heard before. They do a good job with fish, red meat, poultry and organ meats. The vegetable dishes and salads are inventive and delicious. If you have an appetite, the small-plate format can add up fast, but if you go with a group or a date, sharing dishes will get you the full variety and be a little easier on the wallet. That said, it is good value for the money if you value excellence and adventure.

my bf and i walked in less than an hour before close and they were ready to close the store early . they made us feel welcome and recommended some wine and cocktails to us. the owner ian told us to stay as long as we wanted and told us they would prepare what we wanted, regardless of if the kitchen had cleaned up or not. he then invited us to an industry night. we came back the next night for AMAZING smash burgers, great wine selection, along with fantastic cocktails. ian is the nicest guy person i ever met made us feel welcome and ready to eat new mexican food. he slayed with the options! 10/10 would recommend. this bar is my roman empire an would recommend it to anyone visiting toad. thank you ian and his staff!

Google
2 stars only! The food here is absolutely outstanding — refined, beautifully executed, and full of depth. Unfortunately, the wine list is a major letdown. The insistence on exclusively “organic/natural” wines undermines the quality of the cuisine. A great restaurant deserves wines that elevate the food, not distract from it. For those who value true pairing and balance, the wine program feels more like an ideology than a complement to the chef’s talent.

Wowza! What a local treasure here in Taos🥰 the food was delicious! Their sourcing of local ingredients is stellar, everything is so fresh and beautiful! The Farmers Market Crudites, Frico and chicken Palliard were my favorites! Zach is so interesting to chat with, so knowledgeable about the wines, which are superb! We are looking forward to enjoying this restaurant. Much much more. Cheers!

Google
Funky atmosphere not congruent with elevated pricing. Simplicity of dishes indicate Michelin Bib Gourmand but prices approach one star ⭐ Michelin, but without the complexity of dishes or elevated atmosphere. Suggest reducing prices by 50% or increasing complexity of dishes to average 15 ingredients per typical modern cuisine dishes. The fish was delicious but lacked crunchy bits or other complex textures. The potato pancake was just as good as any I got at a Polish diner in the East Village in NYC, but no way is it worth $16. That's home cooking not fine dining.

This was my favorite restaurant during a ten-day trip to Santa Fe and Taos. I went twice and the menu was slightly different each time. The anchovy toast was wonderful. I also tried the chicken and a quick-seared ribeye, both were delicious. We chose a bottle of wine and enjoyed the view of the mountains for a bit before moving inside for dinner. I wish I lived closer, I’d go all the time.

Google
The quality is outstanding for the excellent wines and food. Small plates to share. Nit recommended if you're super hungry, as it's pricey for Taos, but a nice addition of interesting food and drink.

This was by and far the best meal we had during our trip to NM. Everything was amazing but I would literally fight someone for the last frico if it came down to it. We ordered one to share and had to get a second one - it was that good. Don’t let the construction scare you off. The municipal parking is directly across the street and easily accessible. The service was great, the wine was delicious, the food was the best in town. Do not miss this place.

Yelp
The vibe was so cool. Beautiful, eclectic, modern interior that still feels very much like Taos. I would have befitted from some guidance that the plates were on the small side, and a little more interaction with the team would have made us feel more welcome, but it was really delicious! I also enjoyed seeing the dog bopping around--it made the experience cozier. I hope they have success, it's a great addition to town once they make some very minor tweaks to service imo.

Yelp
Great date night destination. Ambiance, delicious fresh food, beautiful presentation, attentive staff and a relaxed atmosphere that encourages conversation. We ordered several small plates to share. This lovely restaurant is accessible through Taos Plaza.

Yelp
Delicious food and wine. Great service. A thoughtfully constructed menu. An absolute must-go! Seriously, drive here from Santa Fe or beyond.

Yelp
We had a very good experience here, with a little tweak here and there, this would have been a 5 star experience. You order at the counter, which is fine, but the service was not that attentive. We were one of three people in the place and they took their sweet time even acknowledging us. That shouldn't happen. I've been a bartender, owned my own catering company, worked as a server for years in High end and funky restaurants, the basics are that you greet everyone with a smile. Don't ever try to be so cool, that you don't need to greet your patrons. That was a bit of a turn off. BUT, I want to focus on the wine. One of the greatest selections of organic, bio-dynamic wine ever. We lived in Sonoma, and in Burgundy region of France, and the wine blew our minds. It's rare to see such a great selection. And everything we had was delicious. We also shared a couple of the small plates, I love eating like that, so to me, it's ideal. My husband left starving, but we didn't plan on making that our dinner stop. The vibe is hip, beautiful, kind of Brooklyn meets Taos, which I welcome. Good music, a little clubby for my taste, but it was fun to be in a different, upbeat vibe like that. I appreciate what they're trying to accomplish and hope they can make it. Taos needs some new blood, cheers to better service next time we hope.

Yelp
Went to Corner Office for the first time yesterday. It was a great experience until it came time to pay. The place has a great vibe, staff is very friendly and polite. At first we thought we would make it back soon. However, we were utterly disappointed when we got our check and the waitress informed us that they automatically charge 20% tip (there was only two of us). Which I think is not typically business practice in most venues. Also after leaving and shocked at the charged amount we realized they also charged us tax on the 20% tip, which we also think is not typical/ borderline scam. Needless to say not returning.

Yelp
We recently dined at Corner Office and it was super. The server was courteous and helpful explaining the menu and wines. The wine selections were very good and extensive. My husband and I shared 3 of the small plates and were so pleased. We plan to return to eat the other food items because the 3 we ordered were very good. We sat outside and we did not have to order at the counter. It is so nice to visit a restaurant that has good food and thought went into the menu and the preparation of the food. This was our favorite new restaurant in Taos.

Yelp
Great small plates, eclectic and extensive wine list, friendly stable staff and owners, and Waylon the appreciative house pooch. Not inexpensive but a welcome and well run addition to the Taos restaurant scene.

Yelp
Very small menu. Club music without a club atmosphere. Mandatory 20% tip and you have to order at a counter. Even if you want a refill of wine. Owners cute dog constantly begging for food. Food was really good so I hope they work out the kinks!

Yelp
Wide expertly curated natural wine selection by James Beard award winning chef. Food is incredibly creative and well executed. Zak and Jori Emde have operated foodie high end restaurants in New York City, Hudson Valley NY and it shows in each food offering. No surprise they have wines from all over the US and Europe that qualify as natural. I'm going back as long as I can still get in before this new place gets too well known.
