The 12 Best Affordable Restaurants in Phoenix, Arizona | Eater Phoenix

"English comfort food isn’t easy to come by in Phoenix, but Cornish Pasty Co offers a reliable option. At Cornish Pasty, patrons have the chance to try a folded pastry with a choice of filling — usually meats, vegetables, and cheeses — that’s fit for a miner’s appetite. One regular’s favorite is the Oggie, a pasty filled with steak, potatoes, onions, and served with ketchup or gravy. There are 15 options for vegetarians and vegans. Try the vegetarian chicken tikka masala pasty with marinated plant-based chicken, curry sauce, and yogurt. A pasty and a soda cost less than $20." - McConnell Quinn

The Best Late-Night Phoenix Eats | Eater Phoenix

"This popular loosely-metal-themed English pub has time-honored pub dishes like Scotch eggs, chicken liver pâté, and shepherd’s pie, but the true star of the show, as the name suggests, is the Cornish pasty. The English comfort food dish gets an update here, where an extensive menu of vegetarian, meat-filled, and constantly rotating pasties with funky riffs on sandwiches like a Cubano, reuben, and French dip. Cornish Pasty is open until 1 a.m. Monday through Wednesday and 2 a.m. Thursday through Sunday." - McConnell Quinn

Boston Restaurant Closings, June 2023 | Eater Boston

"I saw that the Back Bay outpost of Cornish Pasty Co., a British-style bakery that sold pasties — baked hand pies stuffed with veggies and meats — closed in mid-June after nearly seven years, and the owners posted a heartfelt goodbye on Instagram." - Erika Adams

No matter what you’re in the mood for, Cornish won’t disappoint. Food, drinks, atmosphere, and music are always perfect. Sean is one of the best bartenders around too! We go every Sunday for pool and every Thursday for live jazz in the basement. It gets packed, but it’s worth swinging by. The food is unreal. I’ve tried multiple pasties, appetizers, soups, and salads. Allll delicious. 10/10 recommend.

Recommended to me by numerous locals here in Arizona, I gotta admit, I was a little let down. Let’s focus on the good to start off though. The staff were knowledgable, respectful, hard working, and consistent! 10/10 there. As for the pricing? Again! Can’t complain! Well priced for what I was expecting! As for the quality of the meal…Admittedly? Overly seasoned. Primarily by salt. BUT as I’ve said numerous times with these reviews, everybody has an off day and maybe I just popped by on theirs! Although I’d like to come back, it might be a while. BUT i hope y’all still give them a whirl!!!

Oh. My. Goodness. Ate at the Cornish Pasty in Phoenix for the first time and it was incredible. I had the French Dip Pasty—roast beef, onions, Swiss cheese, and horseradish sour cream—and it was loaded with meat and flavor. Also tried the loaded oven chips (aka fries) with cheddar and bacon, and I asked for a side of sour cream to smother on top. Delicious. Our waiter was awesome too—wish I had caught his name. It was Friday at lunch, so hopefully he gets the credit he deserves. I’ll definitely be back!

My first visit to the Downtown Phoenix iteration of Cornish Pasty Company - Tempe locations have been prior experiences of mine for more years than I care to mention (close to 20?). That said, I was in the area for somewhat of an extended lunch break and I selected CPC. Sat at the bar. Not very busy all around, which I have experienced lately in DT PHX; how are these high-rent establishments staying in business to open for lunch when there's hardly anyone to serve at noon on a September Thursday?! Service was very quick and attentive as necessary. I ordered the "Green Chile Bacon Cheeseburger" and it was good. Crust: crispy and flaky, but strong enough to hold in the ingredients. Green chile was on the mild side - that's my only wish here; not everyone can Hatch, NM or Los Dos every meal, but personally, I'd like for it to be! Ranch for dipping, which I did about twice per half. I bet this place is fun on weekend nights!

Great food, atmosphere and server. They have a lot of food options that are “out of stock/unavailable “ though. Came with my mom and brother for dinner. The food is amazing. I got the Guinness stew!! Drink manglorian was good too

The Oogie is absolutely delicious. The red wine gravy is beefy and the balance was wonderful. The curried potatoes weren't great. But I will try something else next time. The service was quick and the server was kind and helpful. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful interior. Staff was friendly. The food.. I grew up eating Pasties in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, I decided to try the listed original Pasty in the menu. I asked for ketchup and decided to try the sauce it came with. I enjoyed all of it! I can't wait to go back!
