This is a MUST stop in Coronado. Not only do they have extraordinary olive oils and balsamic vinegars, they are the kindest people and super knowledgeable. They will give you recipe ideas. You can taste the oils and balsamics. We've taken a few exceptional cooking demo/classes there too. So wonderful to cook with these oils and try new ones.

The owner is absolutely wonderful! Not only knowledgeable but passionate about the product. I've never understood bread and olive oil, because I've never had oil like this. The store is gorgeous, also if you don't know how to get in to olive oil, this place is where you should start.

This is my absolute favorite place on Coronado Island. So many wonderful choices! I cannot get enough of the oils and vinegars. Tuscan, Cayenne and Baklouti Green Chili are my favs! The Lemon vinegar I put in my cream cheese frosting and it is amazing! Can't wait to go back and get more flavors. Thank you Coronado team for sharing all your knowledge with the oils.

Happened into this little store and it was such a pleasure. I came in with my sister and my grandson and the owner was so nice. He offered us ice cream with different balsamic and popcorn, he was also extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We picked up a few items and we’re very pleased. This place is perfect for a little gift for someone. Definitely recommend stopping in for the experience and quality olive oil and balsamic I will definitely stop in here every time I am in Coronado 😊

Cool place we stumbled upon. The woman at the counter introduced us to the many shelves they had: balsamic vinegars, spicy oils, oils, etc. She said they have complimentary vanilla ice cream if you want to try it with a balsamic vinegar. Or they have bags of sourdough bread available for dipping. I tried many. Despite the fact I usually do not like dipping in oil etc! These were flavored wonderfully. I like the espresso balsamic vinegar and the strawberry balsamic vinegar. The blueberry was a little too heavy on the blueberry flavor. And the maple wasn't my taste. But the strawberry was a big hit. I bought a bottle of it. The herbs de Provence oil was good and fragrant. And the mushroom & sage oil was surprisingly good as well. I don't even like mushroom! In addition, I tried one of their spicy oils which was also lovely. I think it was green chile? It would be so good on pizza! I think we were in here for a while. Went through 3 snack bags of bread. It was so good and that was basically dinner haha. Highly recommend the place.

Was led here by a Mystery Picnic scavenger hunt that my partner and I booked. The picnic company partners with businesses in an area, and participants decode clues that lead you to pick up prepaid items at different businesses to enjoy at a picnic. We had a great time here and it may have been the highlight of the stops! We were greeted by the friendly associate Karen who was extremely welcoming. We were given our picnic item for pickup (an olive spread) and were invited to taste the massive assortment of oils and vinegars on tap in the shop. Karen offered us a sparkling water with white vinegar as a way to sample some of the lighter fruity vinegars. The highlight was definitely the grapefruit vinegar, and don't skip out on the truffle olive oil, sooo savory and delicious! There were also little baggies of bread cubes to dip and taste with. Karen also kindly offered us some vanilla ice cream to sample the dark vinegars like raspberry, espresso, and chocolate. There are plenty of things to taste and look at here, you could easily spend over half an hour meandering in here. We were intrigued to learn about all of the creative uses for oil and vinegar besides salad, such as topping fruit, flavoring beverages and even ice cream. This is definitely a must-stop for folks visiting Coronado and spending the day walking around!

Great little place to get oils and vinegars locally! Their variety is amazing and everything tastes so good. They also provide bread to sample the product before you buy!

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Went today to buy a couple of Christmas gifts and was greeted with a smile and very knowledgeable and helpful staff. What a great selection and variety. Ended up buying more than I planned but was not disappointed. Very happy with the selections. Tina and Ashley were very helpful and friendly. This is THE place to go for Christmas shopping for that unique and tasty gift with a Coronado vibe.

Love this place!!! My favorite is the Garlic Olive Oil and the Red Apple Balsamic. Great in salads and sandwiches.

What a great little find in Coronado. Had no idea there so were many kinds of flavored oils and flavored vinegars. The best part is everything is available for taste testing before you buy. The experts there were super nice and exceptionally knowledgeable about flavor profiles and food pairings with their oils and vinegars. It's a small little shop that's full of rustic charm.

This little shop is such a good find. Definitely will be coming back to purchase gifts for the holidays. They offer bread upon entering so you can try the oils and balsamic vinegars. I found an oil that I really liked and wasn't sure what balsamic to match it with. Mike (the owner) was super helpful at suggesting what balsamic were good pairings and suggested we go back and take our time to try each pairing. He really isn't set on just selling you something but really cares about us being happy with our choices. They do gift wrapping and Mike takes great care in making each package look nice; therefore, we waited in line for a bit but it was worth it. He was so nice about offering us Champaign or a drink and was grateful for our patience. By the register there's a whole section of truffle related items that we can try and buy. Make sure you ask him to try the truffle butter-- it's soooo good! I was here during shop small businesses and I spent more then 25 dollars so I got a cute little dipping cups for free! I'll definitely be back here when I'm in the area and will recommend it to anyone! Thanks Mike for your good energy, kindness and generosity! I'll be back!

Neat place with very good olive oils and balsamics. We tried the maple balsamic coupled with the olive oil and was very impressed. Dog friendly too.

Stopped in here three different times and bought some very unique balsamic vinegar and oils. Had no idea you can use this to flavor sparkling water or ice cream in addition to all your standard cooking or salad needs. This is a tasting place where you get to try before you buy. Owners are very welcoming and helpful. Ended up purchasing an apricot white, a black cherry red and a blueberry red. Six samplers as gifts and other goodies. Tried the black cherry on cantaloupe and wow...a new tasting experience. Guess this is like a wine tasting place without the buzz. Great experience and a culinary adventure.

I didn't think oils were sooo complex! We stopped by part of our mystery picnic. We were given olive pate and complimentary oils. They have a variety of different oils in season. The lady helping us was extremely knowledgeable on oils and gave us a sample of some fruit oil and mixed it with some prosecco. Super refreshing! They also carry balsamics and vinegars and many dipping mixes. Soo much to try!

A girlfriend of mine took me to this amazing place. The second I walked in, we were greeted by 2 very bubbly and friendly staff members. I love to go olive oil tasting, and anywhere that I have been before, there generally is a fee, and in addition, if you want some thing to dip like pretzels or bread, you would have to purchase that separately. I was pleasantly surprised when there was no fee, and you also got bread for free as I started to decide what I wanted to taste one of the staff members came over and asked me if I would like some ice cream to taste some of the balsamic with. Being lactose intolerant, I said, I wish and said only if you had lactose free. Lo and behold she did. The fact that they offered me ice cream let alone having lactose free ice cream was kind of mind blowing. She offered up a couple suggestions, and they all were amazing. I definitely took my time with the ice cream and tasting as many flavored Balsamics as I could and they were all amazing. I ended up purchasing black, cherry and strawberry as they were my favorites. Then, if that wasn't enough, the other employee came over to me with some sparkling water, and then she proceeded to put white balsamic peach vinegar into sparkling water and handed it to me. Mind blown again, I would've never thought in a million years to add white balsamic vinegar to sparkling water, but it was yummy!!! as I was walking around enjoying my sparkling water. I started tasting some of the olive oil's ended up buying one of the Greek ones and then came across a butter olive oil... then I said, if only I had some popcorn to try, and guess what, before I knew it I had popcorn in my hand to spread some of the butter flavored olive oil on, and it was amazing. Since I was flying home that day and I only had carry-ons I was only able to buy the small 2 1/2 ounce bottles, but I cannot wait to go back again. I highly recommend this place as I cannot say enough good things about their product and their employees.

I have been a customer of Coronado Taste of Oils for years and was thrilled when I found out they provide wedding favors. The first step was a complimentary tasting at the shop that included cheese, fruit, and sparkling wine. We were surprised that every flavor of oil and vinegar were available as favors. There are over 100 options! Heidi walked us through the process and we selected four different pairings. We then picked ribbons for the packaging that matched the color scheme for our wedding. Heidi even made signs for our wedding that described each paring with suggestions on how to serve them. Finally, Heidi delivered the favors to Temecula from Coronado. Heidi was extremely professional and responsive to all of my questions throughout this entire process. Heidi went above and beyond. Our guests loved the favors. We highly recommend Coronado Taste of Oils for wedding favors or just as a purchase for your home. Do yourself a favor and stop into Coronado Taste of Oils the next time you are in the San Diego area!

Not only is it the Taste of Oils but also the Taste of Vinegars! This place is nice if you want to buy some olive oil and/or vinegars. There are many choices to try and see what they have. You can try samples of them itself or try to dip them with bread. Prices here aren't bad at all too as they have three different sizes to take. They also do shipping if you can't take it with you or would like to gift it to someone within living in US. The person who was working there recommended to try the fruity vinegars with sparkling water. She said trying a sample with a tablespoon of vinegar is really good. Usually I like to drink balsamic vinegar itself but trying it with sparkling water was absolutely good! I know that I will buy some sparkling water to try with some vinegar since it's still pretty healthy. If you want some nice choice of variety of olive oils or vinegars, this is the place you definitely want to check out!

I love tasting and buying different flavors of oil. This place had quite a variety of olive oils to sample. We loved trying out the flavors. There are also many varieties of vinegars to try. I'm not a fan of the vinegars but one in my party fell in love with those this store had. This is definitely a great place to stop and sample. Prices are reasonable.

Amazing cooking oils and vinegars here - I was very very impressed ! This is not something you can get at your local market this is a place that prides in these two topics . I am a sucker for tasting , and oh boy I did taste!!!!! Honestly I love to cook and well we all cook with oil and some of the best salads and foods are made with vinegars . My favorite part is that they have cooking class that happens I believe now twice a month , for sure once a month on the last Sunday of each month and basically you enjoy a culinary adventure and mingle with new found foodies and did I mention the drinks and recipes and 10 % off store and 2 60 ml bottles free as well - over all I think a great deal , I will be doing this once a month for sure !!!! Stopped in on a whim. Caryn was friendly and great at highlighting some of their more unique offerings and how to use them. Great quality products, wide variety of flavors, terrific service. Amazing choice of products with friendly knowledgeable staff. I can't wait until the newest harvest of olive oils arrive. The owner happened to be in the store when I picked up my phone order. He even spent time with me educating me in my new world of choosing quality products. (The phone order decision was solely based on the guidance, knowledge and the trust I felt of the sales staff) Plus this store is located in "Coronado"! Amazing tasting room full of great options! High quality and very good. The owner is very knowledgeable in oils and vinegars. He even will show you the chemistry of the oils. I never thought a would put a vinegar on ice cream but I did and it was delicious! I highly recommend trying this place out.

I just made my first visit to your oil shop. It was fantastic! The products were very reasonably priced. My son loved the blueberry balsamic vinegars over vanilla ice cream and we got a big jar of sweet garlic for Hubby. What a great shop for Christmas gifts. Such a charming store packed full of the most amazing flavors. So many unusual but delicious pairings - ice cream and favored balsamic vinegar, sparkling water and vinegar! Our company booked a Cooking Demonstration with Coronado Taste of Oils. Everyone had a great time. We had a great experience at Coronado Tast of Oils. The owners are so kind and nice. I was blown away by how you can add balsamics to sparkling water and add so much flavor naturally. Also the white truffle oil with the jalapeno balsamic is a great combination. Get in there and try out some great oils and balsamics. We also learned the health benefits of extra virgin olive oil. If you are looking for ther best oils for cooking and making the best tasting food around this is the place to go. Also they have white truffle salt which is the best flavor enhancer around. Thanks for the great experience this weekend!

The Taste of Oils is one of the greatest olive oil stores we have been in. With that being said our attendant Nikki was one of the greatest attendants we have ever had. Her knowledge of oils and vinegars was exemplary and her customer service was extremely impressive. I would highly recommend this establishment and we will definitely return.

I visited Coronado Taste of Oils today and had a great time! The selection is amazing! I purchased the garlic olive oil and strawberry almond jam. There are so many samples to try and Michael the owner is very nice and helpful! If you like high quality olive oil and vinegars you need to check out this shop!

What a great store. The gentlemen working was so nice and helpful. I bought several olive oils & vinegar for my mother and he wrapped them up so nicely. They smell and taste great, and my mother loved them. I definitely recommend this place. The employee was able to give me recommendations and made the experience very nice. A+

Amazing! Fantastic! Incredible! And im not just talking about the Staff... seriously .. come here. You will not be disappointed. We've been coming here for years. When we were stationed in San Diego, it was a once a month occurence... then we moved to Arizona, bought a motorhome and come back to visit the area and our first stop is always Taste of Oils.

The oils are amazing if you are one that likes to cook You have to try the Meyer Lemon oil ,butter infused, and the Apricot balsamic are just a fewer my favorites. The customer service is wonderful. You will be amazed and want to try them all.

The olive oils are amazing my favorite is the butter infused. The customer service was outstanding . Coronado Taste of Oils also has a cook book that had really nice recipes . Check them out if you cook you will love the balsamic vinaigrettes.

I love coming here! I can try different oil and vinegar before I buy them! Plus they are super healthy for you! They have gift items, which is a great idea for family members. They have spices, pasta, and fancy containers for the oil and vinegar! I'll be back soon!

Fun store.. you get to sample all different types of red/white vinegars and olive oil flavors you've never heard of. Kinda pricey but most of these type of stores are...The pom balsamic was not as good as my favorite one back in NY but some of the regular olive oil certainly of good quality. I agree with the reviewer on her Sicily olive oils that are found here.. Check that review out,, very good. Hard to find true Italian olive oil in the US!

Haha, this reallly is a Yogurtland of oils as mentioned in the reviews below. OMG...I've never had so much olive oils samplings in my whoe life. I must have drank the equivalant of a water bottle's worth by the end of it. They have so many different flavors. By the time you try all of them, it does add up to that much, so don't judge! =P This is a fun place to check out. I bought two bottles and they were wrapped so nicely. They make great exotic gifts.

Wow!!! I'm Blown away by the flavors, selection and knowledge presented by this family owned business. Ally shared so much information with my boyfriend and I as we stopped in on a day trip to Coronado. We even signed up for their cooking class later this month!! Not since Italy have I found so many samples of white vinegar, pure olive oils and basalmics. A must have in ever kitchen!

As to the product excellent I would've never thought that I would enjoy coconut vinegar with Schweppes as a veritable tonic of life.

I LOVE great olive oil and this place had an ABUNDANCE of flavors. They made it easy to taste the many varieties and even had a list of oil/balsamic pairings. I loved being able to introduce my kids to fine olive oil. The workers even offered iceecream to the kids to add fruity (and chocolate) flavored balsamic. They also bubble wrapped my purchases so they can make it home safely. This is an experience to have for sure!

My beau and I discovered them from a scavenger hunt thing we found on Facebook. Such a gem. Learned that fruit balsamic vinegar and club soda are perfect together. Bought the Cara Cara orange vinegar! So good!!

This place is awesome! We love specialty olive oils and vinegars, and this is the place to go for them! We've been back 3 or 4 times to refill, and are never disappointed! We get the Tuscan herb olive oil and traditional balsamic, and this is divine with bread as an appetizer! We also use the oil with roasted potatoes or veggies, and the vinegar in a few recipes too! They've definitely got us hooked! We need to try out some of their other flavors in the future to expand our oil & vinegar horizons! Check them out! You won't be disappointed!

While heading to the beach, my friend and I noticed this small shop on Orange Avenue. To be honest, I think I was more excited to investigate this little gem than to walk along the shore on an unusually cold and windy Southern California day. This tiny shop is overwhelming, but in a good way! There's a wide variety of unique olive oils, gourmet oils, and vinegars. The best part is that you can try them all. Grab several of the small plastic cups, a few pieces of bread, and start sampling -- it's encouraged! My friend and I probably spent 20 minutes trying oils and vinegars, and contemplating which ones to buy. It was difficult to decide what to purchase because I loved everything I sampled; however, I ended up taking home bottles of the Mushroom & Sage Olive Oil, and the Dark Toasted Sesame Oil. Fortunately, I don't have to trek down here if I'm down to the last drops of precious oils. The shop's website sells many of the items found in the physical store. Upon check out, I was given two recipe cards and a stamp card that I can use to earn a free bottle of oil. Coronado Taste of Oils has become one of my favorite spots in the area. I'll be making a return visit when I'm back in town.

My friend and I took a weekend vacation to San Diego to fish - but unfortunately the weather turned on us and we weren't able to go on our sea voyage. Fortunately, we took a trip to Coronado and stumbled upon Coronado Taste of Oils! This amazing little shop is located in the downtown area and is tucked in next to a restaurant. It is small, but packed with many infused olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Little cups and pieces of bread are available to you to try all of them. I had quite a few, but settled on a Garlic infused olive oil and a Vanilla infused balsamic to actually purchase. They also have a card you can get stamped. If you buy so many you will get a free one of their larger bottles. Luckily, my friend and I were told we could also purchase online! If I am ever back in Coronado I will make sure I stop here.

This place is a gem from the wonderful vinegars and oil to the nicest most helpful manager. Definitely will be back.

What a magnificent place! Let me start with saying their attention to detail is fabulous! Everything in the store is so beautiful you can't help but want to take everything home for yourself or as gifts! We had a private holiday dinner for 12 with a cooking demonstration- Michele, Roberta and Emma were so engaging and made the evening so unique and enjoyable for all of our guests! Not to mention the plethora of flavors of olive oils and vinegars to choose from. A must visit!

Incredible vinegars! I bought a variety of and they are all delicious--Key lime pie, Blenheim apricot, black mission fig, lavender, maple. We use them daily drizzled on top of arugula, tomato and spinach salads, on steamed greens, baked squash, and steamed vegetables. The owner is very helpful and was able to ship them to me.

I've never been to an olive oil/vinegar shop quite like this one. What a variety of natural flavor and infused oils/vinegars they have here. The quality of the oils and the flavors infused in the oils and vinegars is truly unbelievable. I didn't try a single flavor that I didn't like. The peach vinegar really blew me away-- intensely infused, yet not overwhelming to the senses, this was so delicious and wonderful that I think I'm going to have to make a special trip back to Coronado just for this. The shop is conveniently located on the main drag of shops in the center of town, and everything is so nicely kept-- beautiful displays, warm staff, simple and clean design. You are free to try as many oils/vinegars as you please as well, which makes it a lot of fun to browse! What a special culinary find!

I looked around for a local shop that had a good variety of balsamic vinegar, and I was not disappointed. The only problem is that there are so many kinds! I like that you can sample it all. They had some pretty yummy olive oil too. My only complaint is having to drive to Coronado. But that's because I'm lazy.

My son and I moved from Sicily a few weeks ago. We have gone to several producers and speciality shoppes looking for something to fulfil our Olive Oil needs. Sad to say... they have all been horrible! simply horrible!! However, It was recommended that I go to "Coronado Taste of Oils" where the proprietor proudly gave me samples of their Sicilian import. I have to say... its very close... and so far above anything else you will find in San Diego that there is truly no need to look elsewhere. A few of notes.... 1) We used to go to our local farmer in the Trapani region to buy olive oil directly. He had a small grove of trees and pressed his own fresh olive oil. It was amazing and arguably some of the best Sicilian olive oil you will ever find. So with that, understand that my standards are very high. 2) Nearly all "Italian" olive oil is not produced from Italian olives. You can google this if you want. So just saying "Italian" is rather deceptive. On the flip side, Sicilian olive oil is almost always universally and exclusively made from Sicilian olives (more on next point). 3) The western region of Sicily has some very distinctive and well regarded monocultivar varieties of olives (ex. biancolilla, cerasuola, and nocellara). They are also grown in volcanic soil which helps provides their distinctive properties. 4) Sadly... or not... but true Sicilian olive oil is not a common export.

Incredible selection of oils and vinegars. It's hard to choose just a few! The prices are slightly high but for the quality, it's definitely worth it. You can taste anything and you really learn a lot from the staff. They have great suggestions for use and know how it's all made. We got: Australian olive oil, almond oil & espresso balsamic vinegar We love them all!
