Decided to take the ferry to Coronado. Bought some touristy trinkets and wandered into this place. It’s a place that has tons of regulars. Wines are so good. Place is so cute. Try it. I had a great time waiting for the ferry and they promised to remind me so I wouldn’t miss it.

Google
Hey everyone! Was super excited to try this place on a solo day trip, walked in and the only attitude I’ve been greeted with is superiority and the general air of “you don’t look important enough to be nice to” There are 2 servers here right now and while polite, polite is all they are. No patience for any questions relating to tasting or wine itself. I hope others have a better experience, I sincerely regret coming in here as a solo female. Will note, I’m dressed nicely as well. Still met with disdain 😞 Highly regret paying the $30 for a tasting and tipping 18% as well. Treat your customers better, thanks!

Jay is the man! When you first come in, the menu is unassuming. Grape types and then staff / Jays choice. We wanted more info and boy did they deliver! Don’t be shy because everyone there is deeply invested in making sure you have an excellent experience! Jay came over and helped fit us with the best wines on offer. In addition, there was live music on Sat night starting around 6pm. Plus, if you’re not into wine, they’re decked out with more spirits than a New Orleans cemetery Definitely recommend!

Google
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely wonderful experience at The Coronado Tasting Room & Vom Fass! I stopped in last Wednesday and had such a fun and relaxing time. The service was excellent—welcoming, attentive, and friendly from the moment I walked in. The atmosphere was lively yet cozy, and the music made it even better! Ron Wheeler was there playing guitar, and his selection of songs was just perfect—laid-back, nostalgic, and totally enjoyable. It was one of those nights that makes you fall in love with Coronado all over again. I’ll definitely be back!

Google
People are nice there. Wine selection ok. Didn't have gluten free crackers so when we asked if the charcuterie was gluten free they said no.... However if was just that they didn't have gluten free crackers. The wines were good. Service pretty good. Staff was chatty. Owner very nice. Public bathroom outside the shop and down a ways... Didn't like that.. Place itself was quaint.

Google
By far one of the best tasting room experiences we’ve had in the U.S. Jay and his staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable! They have wonderful selections ranging from wine to bourbon to olive oil and more! A bread & olive oil small bite is a must try! They have numerous oils and balsamic vinegars to try that are exceptionally delicious! They have a wide variety of liquors, cocktails, and wines to try which are all extremely affordable and tasty! We decided to become wine members and look forward to frequently visiting Jay and his staff! Wonderful place for a date night or even to pick up a personal gift! It is also a Veteran owned business!

Google
This place is ideal for those people who are curious about what they are drinking, you have a variety of flights to choose from... whiskey, cognac, wines, tequila, vodka, etc. the care is excellent. I tried the hummus that comes with mini carrots and pampita. it was very tasty. In CORONADO TASTING ROOM you can live a very pleasant experience.

Google
I came here for a birthday celebration and it was 10/10! The views were amazing and the service was perfect. Jay and Coleen are fantastic people and really know their stock. The cocktails and wine were on point! Definitely try the bread with olive oil and vinegar. They helped my group try a few different things before we chose our likings. A must if you’re in the ferry landing area of Coronado

Yelp
Cute place among a very touristy area. They have wine and liqueur tasting. Try the violet liqueur! They have recipes of what drinks you can make with each liqueur. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We got two wine flights and sat outside to people watch. Highly recommend.

Yelp
My husband honestly just stumbled across the tasting room while we were roaming around the Coronado pier area. He wandered in so I followed of course lol. Such an amazing place, they have a whole wall dedicated to whiskeys as well as so many other alcoholic beverages. I'm personally an Espresso Martini girl so when I found some coffee drinks, I got excited. Even more excited to hear that they actually use it in THEIR Espresso Martini! I enjoyed that while my husband got a flight. Our server was truly amazing and so attentive. She helped my husband choose which whiskeys he wanted in his flight. We ended up taking a couple bottles home to enjoy too. Going here was honestly the highlight of my birthday trip that weekend. Highly recommend for a date night or girls night/ hanging out with friends.

Yelp
Love this place service beer and food are great I would go back in a heart beat on my next visit to Coronado

Yelp
Great laid-back location to partake in wine flights following a day of work in the SD area. I opted for a white wine flight, as I was seeking refreshment, while my colleague opted for red. We had a bread snack which was offered w the wine. We shared banter w our pleasant bartender Terri, and chatted about sailing w the "owner man". Great place to peruse the wine and hard liquor selections, as well as the adjoining Vom Fass selections of olive oils and vinegars. I must say, I bought a travel friendly balsamic vinegar and made a spritzer today to sip while working. Delicious.

Yelp
They could have cared less that we were there. No one else in the place and they were openly rude even admitting they were bored. Wine marginal and overpriced.

Yelp
Loved this place on coronado island. Came in on a Saturday night, party of 4 and waited about 30-45 min. Lots of places fown the way to kill time at. Had their appetizers and a few beers which we loved.

Yelp
A really neat tasting room in a beautiful location at the Coronado Ferry Landing. The tasting room is shared with the Vom Foss next door, so we did some oil & vinegar tastings first. We both chose a glass, but they have flights & tastings too. We decided on two of their menu items to snack on - pretzels & bread w/oil & vinegar. The gentleman helping us gifted us an additional oil & vinegar, they're seasonal orange spice - it was delicious!! We enjoyed a casual & relaxed hour or so sipping, snacking & chatting. Everyone was very friendly & kindly answered all our questions.

Yelp
This is a cool place to stop by on the island. I stopped by on a Tuesday in winter so it was slow. However the snacks/apps are very good. The wine was tasty as well. They have olive oil forsale that you can sample. I will be back.

Yelp
Upon entering the Coronado tasting room, we were barely acknowledged. Despite our efforts to ask questions, engage, and be polite, we received the same indifferent response. We purchased two flights and tried to buy bottles of wine, yet the service remained unresponsive. When I asked to use the bathroom, I was told there wasn't one available (despite seeing an employees-only restroom) and was directed to a public bathroom across the street instead. Normally, I wouldn't complain, but my experience left me feeling unwelcome. I hope no one else has to go through this.

Yelp
Really liked the four 2 oz tastings of red wine. They were all very good. The Cab was my favorite with the house blend my second. Velvet did the white flight and liked them all. Her favorite was the Sauvignon Blanc. Great location in San Diego harbor. Great service.

Yelp
I love this place so much. The prices are so reasonable for Coronado. I came in this last time while the boat parade was going on and they had festive hot cocktails and mulled wine. They sell really nice oils and alcohol and the inside is very clean and welcoming. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.

Yelp
A hidden gem in Coronado. No I came across this place after needing a break from shopping in some of the stores in this place. There is plenty pf parking but the lot gets busy at times. It's also close to the shoreline. Nice location. They have a wide variety of small batch whiskeys, burbons, etc. They also have a variety of wines along with a variety of knick knacks. They also have a bar with some cool drinks. They have a drink menu for you or they will make a drink recommendation based on what you like. They are very knowledgeable about everything in the store and behind the bar. I ordered the Old Fashion. It was nice and smooth as it should be. It was what was needed after some retail therapy. It's the perfect place to hang out while you are waiting for your loved ones to do their shopping. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. Good vibes here! I will definitely come back to have a drink and buy some of their small batch bourbon. Make sure you stop by and give it a try!

Yelp
We went on a warm winter day and sat on their lovely patio. The waitstaff were very attentive and knowledgeable. We had a charcuterie board, split a flight, and then had a couple of really great glasses of sparkling wine. There is a fantastic view and the people watching was great.
google avatar

Yelp
Good selection or beer, winw and cocktails and friendly staff. Dog friendly as well! Great spot to rest when walking around Coronado.

Yelp
Great vibes, amazing selection of everything, the staff is very knowledgeable! Their old fashion is a great one, allocated bourbons!

Yelp
Really chill and fantastic service. Terri is so sweet and fun, and she suggested the very best, and we had a lovely time. Also, if you want a break from the chaos and...children...this is the place to be.

Yelp
Bob was so personable and gave us great service! We came here in our day trip to Coronado and enjoyed the wine and the location. Brittany from "Curious Juniper" syrups was there and giving out her delicious samples to go along with some of the wines. We had the sweet sips flight and I loved the glass holders and was happy to have "Jam Jar" as one of the wines to sample! It was a wonderful treat and definitely recommended :-)

Yelp
Blown away by the incredible service and seemingly infinite tasting options. Terri, Brook and Jill were clearly the A Team. The tequila, absinthe and wine selections are incredible. We also tasted some premade options that were delicious. We will be back for sure.

Yelp
Very unwelcoming experience I had to ask what the specials were and then they went back to being on their phone made me feel like I bothered them there was absolutely 0 customer service

Yelp
Came here as a birthday/NYE celebration. It was fun to take the Ferry over from SD. But I couldn't believe how empty the place was. I was hoping others would be drinking on New Years. Or at least a little party vibe going on. We did the "little bit of both" wine tasting. I was hoping they would have some fun specials or something for birthdays but nope. We did get the pretzel, hummus platter and vinegar/bread dish. The food was fine. Nothing special about the meal or drinks. And the service was subpar. Every time we wanted to order something it was impossible to wave someone down. We kept having to walk over to the cashier instead. I did however like the store. They had a variety of vinegars and oils to try. We got to try a few different whiskeys and liquors. I spent more on the store than anything. The man working that part of the establishment was very helpful. We ended up walking out with more than I thought I would. But I do wish the store and the tasting area were separate rooms. It was awkward trying to enjoy a drink while people were browsing shelves right behind me. All in all, if you want something quiet, this is fine. If you want lively, I would look somewhere else.

Yelp
Great place to drop by for a quick drink and a light appetizer. Wide assortment also of bourbons, cognac, gins rums, and tequilas while enjoying a fabulous view of th San Diego skyl8ne.
google avatar

Yelp
I called for a job opportunity and she was so rude. Said just by the sound of my voice. I would not be a good fit. A customer overheard and she lied to him or her saying it was her friend. What the actual hell! I dont know if this was the owner or not. But this was completely unprofessional and uncalled for! I will write reviews everywhere about your nasty attitude

Yelp
Picked up some sour cherry liqueur so tasty! My hubby did the Tour of Scotland & the Smokey.... Needs work.

Yelp
I'm surprised this place doesn't have any reviews!!!! My husband and I have come here many, many times. Our fav drink to get is a salt point. It's actually located In the fridge. But I truly enjoy just sitting at one of their tables and tasting their liquors, whiskeys and wines. Their sangria is DELICIOUS!!! so refreshing!! I enjoyed their wine flight (sweets) and their gin and vodka calamansi drink is good. I also tried their cranberry vodka and it was good, buuuutttt it was a bit bitter and sour so it burned my lips. They also offer charcuterie board and bread plates where you can either get their regular oil with and lemon I believe but you can also taste their oils and vinegars and choose one to dip in your bread, we like to get the curry oil and pomegranate vinaigrette. It sound weird, but it's so good (: The staff is also so kind and helpful. Tasha and Colleen are two that come to mind! They are awesome. A must try!!!!

Yelp
Love this place! Has a full bar! Wonderful service. A wine membership and so many great items for sale. Live music also some evenings. At the Landing.

Melanie P.

Yelp
We came here several times while in Coronado. We really enjoyed the staff. All of the bartenders we're so friendly and personable, and they had great knowledge. The owner was really nice too plus, you can't beat the location being right by the ferry and the water.

Yelp
The Coronado Tasting Room is an interesting concept twist, featuring a wealth of spirits in addition to some wines and beers. Friendly folks behind the bar, live entertainment on Wednesdays 6-8 and Sundays, more days may be in work. Great charcuterie plates to pair. Colleen and Ryan took great care of us while we listened to Gonzo dish some country and soft rock tunes, great crowd!! Come on down!!
google avatar

Cam L.

Yelp
This tasting room is amazing! I have been to it twice and loved it! I did the liqueur flight and sweet red flight. I also shard some cocktails. Also, the bread with date balsamic and lemon olive oil is so delicious. The service and product knowledge is impeccable. I love the Coronado Tasting Room.

Yelp
I've never been to this business but somehow they have allowed someone to charge my card $203.91 on October 1 they need to ask people for identification before they allow them to charge something.

Andrea N.

Yelp
Generous hosts with the highest standards! Great place to explore some of my favorite things: wine, whiskey, & treats. Olive oil & tasting room. Near the water& shops.

Yelp
Stumbled into this place on a Sunday afternoon. Hannah at the bar took really good care of us! I will definitely be back here just because of her! Thank you Hannah!

Olivia L.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! We got 4 heavy pours in a flight for only $18 plus $5 bread & oil/vinegar for a snack. Everything tasted great. Staff is friendly and the view is outstanding. I highly recommend!

Mat S.

Yelp
A little gem on Coronado. Great variety of wines and interesting spirits for taste and purchase. Small appetizer list for purchase and appetizers in the back of the liquor area. Owners and staff were extremely hospitable. Indoor and out door seating. Outdoor seating offers a view of San Diego. A definite repeat.

Andi M.

Yelp
We had the best customer service! Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and the entire staff went out of their way to set up two tables for our group of six, including elderly parents who physically could not sit at the bar high tables. So many unique drink choices from small vendors and plenty of wine from which to choose. A new favorite spot for us!!
