"Head to Brighton every first Thursday of the month to play trivia while drinking a pint. It has another location in West Roxbury that runs trivia on the same night. Both locations have large menus with generous portions, plus reasonably priced New England classics such as fried clams and baked scallops." - Valerie Li Stack

This place, the atmosphere, the food, and the service are THE BEST. My son celebrated his 21st birthday here. The owner, bartender, and server Olivia made this experience TRULY DELIGHTFUL. We will remember this for life. THANK YOU! We will be back and we will be telling everyone we know to visit you. Everyone in our large party LOVED it at the Corrib Pub as well; they, too, will return soon and often.

Google
Cozy neighborhood joint that is perfect for watching sports or reuniting with friends. The great food and service exceeded my expectations - a step above your average Boston pub grub. I ended up coming back around lunchtime and was surprised with some great brunch offerings - don't sleep on this pub for a delicious brunch, boozy or hearty. Also among the best Guinness pours in Boston.

Google
Stopped by for drinks and appetizers with my friends - great prices for mixed drinks compared to other places in the area. I loved the ambience, it feels very relaxed inside. A great place to go to meet with friends or spend time with family. Worth a visit

Google
The food was great! Awesome flavors and large portions for the price. Overheard all the other tables around us talking about how great their meals were too. Love this neighborhood gem. Nice little bar, perfect for watching a game.

Google
Thank GOODNESS for the Bartender here. This gentleman takes in food orders by phone WHILE serving the patrons at the bar. I am editing my review because it looks like the waitstaff has changed and the service has gone down a bit. BEWARE of the waitress; oblivious to ppl who are not "eating in" AND has no clue as to orders being called in. She will watch you, but won't acknowledge your existence. Either way, Great location in Brighton Center. Great food with great portions and the drinks were refreshing. Great quality Pub to stop in and eat, drink & be merry. The bartender WILL take care of you*

Google
A nice neighborhood pub. I really enjoyed the clam chowder.

Nice atmosphere, clean and neat. Service was prompt, a bit brusque. Good food, surprising for a pub in its quality. Served hot, tasty and excellent portions. Steak fries were phenomenal.

I really love this place. All of staffs are brilliant and foods also. I've been there many times and all of memories are still shining. THANK YOU ありがとう

Yelp
I have driven by this place all the time so I finally gave it a try. They have a parking lot but it was full do I still had to find a spot in the municipal lot. The restaurant is predominately a pub with an eating area. I can see where they make their money. The seating area is hidden so just look hard to find it. I did not see it so I had to sits at the bar. I had a cheeseburger and onion rings. More of a pub than a restaurant. The cheeseburger came with lettuce, tomatoes and mushrooms. It was ok for the price of 16.00. The prices were reasonable. The bartender brought over my tab of 16.00. I gave him my credit card where he proceeded to ring up another customers tab of 50.00. I caught it. How could the bartender make such a flagrant mistake? When I brought it to the attention to the bartender voided the transaction. Don't sign your credit card receipt blindly. I would take it or leave it on this restaurant.

Yelp
The Corrib Pub is Awesome! The food is delicious with large portions! The atmosphere is perfect and just like a pub in Ireland. The staff are friendly! Go here weekly with my husband and in-laws. The daily specials are on point. The pork chop special (see pic below) was the biggest and best evah. Love the tall Bacardi and Coke, nice and strong! Go here and leave satisfied and happy :~)

Yelp
We stopped into this neighborhood local restaurant that looked like it was full of regulars at the bar and filling the booths. FOOD Food is very traditional New England/American food with the usual menu items. He ordered the turkey dinner that was a special of the night and I ordered the honey mustard chicken and substituted the rice for french fries. All items were tasty and hot. The prices were fairly priced for what you received. It is not high-end gourmet nouveau gastro pub, it's a traditional old-time Boston restaurant, so you know what to expect when you turn up. ATMOSPHERE Classic booth and a long bar with a casual atmosphere. The server was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Bonus- we managed to get street parking right in front of the restaurant, sweet!

Kirk H.

Yelp
We were in the neighborhood and decided to stop in for lunch. We were hoping to get a Reuben, but no luck, they didn't have corned beef. I ended up having the Irish Breakfast, which was just so-so. Others were similarly unimpressed by their entrees. Our server was efficient, but not especially interested in us. There were a lot of people at the bar for early afternoon, so clearly this is a neighborhood hang-out, and we felt a little like we were intruding. The bar looked pretty nice, but the rest of the place looked like a chain restaurant. Probably would not return. Too bad, would have liked to have a fun Boston Irish pub experience.

Ashley B.

Yelp
All you need to know is the food is 10/10 especially for the price! And drinks are strong. Such a cute local vibe with great service!

Mark H.

Yelp
Excellent food, fast service. Steak tips perfectly cooked medium, excellent flavor. Will be back!

Yelp
Best value dinner in all of Brighton. My favorite spot for a pint of Guinness and some great conversation. Their daily specials are all good. My go to favorites are the Chicken Fingers, Chicken Curry, Steak Tip Salad and the Corrib Burger. Bartenders and Waitstaff are all solid good folks. If you live or work in Brighton and aren't a regular here already, then I can't understand why not. Go enjoy!

John B.

Yelp
My family and I went here after we watched the BC vs. Wake Forest football game. It has an awesome looking bar area and really is an authentic Irish pub. Some of the staff we talked to was even originally from Ireland. I had the "Best of House" burger, it was ok for a burger. I also had the french onion soup, and it was one of the best french onion soups I have ever had. The draft Guinness was great, they serve it the Irish way at 42 degrees when requested!

Yelp
Y'all I love Corrib Pub so much. Corrib is me of those restaurants where you don't really crave going there, but the familiarity and warmth of the restaurant will keep you coming back. I pretty much get the same exact thing every time I go here which is the barbecue bacon bleu burger. It's not the prettiest but I love the bleu cheese, the bacon is good, and the burger is solid. For $9, getting a burger is the best deal on the menu. I've also gotten the Irish Bacon burger which is good. My boyfriend has tried various things which I've sampled. Irish Sampler was alright, the Shepard's pie was good, but my favorite is the chicken curry. It has fresh grilled chicken, vegetables, rice, all in a curry sauce. I wasn't expecting it to be this good, but it is my new favorite thing. Refills come fast as the dining Hill is usually not that crowded. Service can be a hit or miss, but we're not regulars. It's clearly a regulars restaurant which I'm fine with, great for people watching. The only thing I don't recommend is the nachos. Not worth the value, and not the best. Also the chicken sandwich was dry when I had it. TL;DR: get a burger and endless Diet Coke refills.

Boston B.

Yelp
Prices up service down. , bland no Taste , Went there with family. Only 1 waitress busy Saturday night. Waitress screwed up Order. No water refills. Before this place was run well , now I would run away before stepping foot in.

Jenni F.

Yelp
Great food and cold beer. We had clam chowder and Buffalo fingers- fresh and delicious! Ample parking and the bar staff was attentive and knowledgeable on some take out Items we were choosing! Like this location but love West Roxbury better!

Megan H.

Yelp
This is an average Irish pub in the Boston area - there's a good range of drinks and plenty of space, but the food is mediocre. Our table ordered the clam chowder, bangers and mash, Irish curry, and baked seafood. Of all the items, the baked seafood was the best offering. The rest had a processed/canned vibe to them. The table next to us ordered the burgers, though, and they seemed the way to go. If you're in the mood for a pint, definitely stop by Corrib. If you want to also grab a bite, go for the burgers. The other entrees aren't worth the price.

Yelp
horrible experience. ruined celebration dinner with a friend. useless waiter. awful tasteless badly cooked food. not one positive thing to say. chicken marsale pre cooked and microwaved. penne pasta soaked and brown. instead of marsala wine and fresh mushrooms cooked in canned mushroom gravy. very expensive steak very overdone and rubbery. could't cut it even with a steak knife. to make the meal even more horrible, strawberry shortcake served on a flat plate, not in a bowl. instead of shortcake the tiny piece of pound cake was microwaved and burned, like a brick hard. a tablespoon of strawberries without sauce and two tiny scoops of ice cream next to the cake. could even cut this cake with a knife. needless to say we won't be back. pitiful excuse for a restaurant.

Pete O.

Yelp
Great old school Irish-American pub spot. Good prices, generous portions w/ friendly staff and regulars. Best fish and chips in the neighborhood. Properly poured pints of Guinness, not that foamy nonsense you get at the yuppie bars. Good parking next door in the City lot or decent street parking if that's full.

Yelp
I am a simple man with simple lusts. I came to Corrib's after Sunday's Mass to quench my thirst and escape the sickening silence that has haunted my apartment ever since my wife left. What I found was more than I bargained for. Upon the sight of young lady smoking a menthol cigarette distastefully close to the entrance, I felt a distinct sense of nostalgia reminiscent of the scents of my childhood home in Cleveland. Mother loved menthols. The interior of Corrib's strikes a eery resemblance to the imagery Billy Joel creates in his 1973 hit "The Piano Man". The regular crowd had indeed shuffled in by the time I found my seat at the bar. It appeared I had stumbled upon a new spot to make love to a tonic an' gin. What I fancy about Corrib's is the sense of community and cast of characters it welcomes. Corrib's is a place where men like Davey, who is still in the navy (and probably will be for life), can share a beer and Sunday afternoon with Paul, the real estate novelist, who never had time for a wife. For here, we share a drink we call loneliness, because it's better than drinking alone. Now, I am off to Corrib's to forget about life for a while. Forever yours, Barnaby

Yelp
Just had a bowl of chili here and it was old school and very satisfying and the perfect comfort food and filling as all heck. This is my first time here but the cook's skill is readily apparent me being a cook myself. I will be back and I hope I get the same waitress very cute and attentive the perfect host.

Eve C.

Yelp
Absolutely the worst I have ever been treated at a pub in Boston in my life. Brian completely ignored me and my husband. He is Greek and I am Irish. Honestly think that has something to do with it. We have been here many times over the years, just never encountered this miserable bartender before. I would never come here again or recommend any of my friends come here ever. There are too many other places nearby to go to. Don't waste your time or money.

Bryce C.

Yelp
This place is a great restaurant to go to for a local beer and food kind of place. They have a decent selection of beers and their menu is pretty solid. I've been here a couple times for just drinks and also for drinks and dinner, and I prefer coming here for the food. Their menu offers items from good bar apps to dinner plates. I've tried their Caesar salad with steak tips and their grilled veggie sandwich on ciabatta and both were really good. Both tasted fresh and cooked well. I've seen their burgers and they look really yummy, but have yet to taste it. As for atmosphere it's a typical Irish pub, staff is both friendly and timely. There are locals who come here quite often but they don't distract from the typical ambiance and setting. Overall I recommend trying this place out for a bite and a beer!

Yelp
Hit the corrib after a wake. Was always a favorite place mine when i lived in brighton. Had my girlfriend, my sister and my nephews with me. Had a nice dinner with all before a long ride home. Everyone except any girlfriend has been there and she really loved it

Neil V.

Yelp
Delightful atmosphere. Terrific food. Made us feel like we were long time patrons on our first visit. Highly reccomended!

Yelp
Was in town visiting a friend and we decided to hit up the Corrib Pub for a casual dinner as he hadn't been there before and wanted to give it a shot. I've always been a big fan of taverns and pub style food (also beer) so this seemed like a place I would enjoy. The Corrib did not disappoint. I started out with a cup of their chowder (we were in Boston after all) and it was good, not great. However I realize that most people aren't looking for a good bowl of chowder at an Irish pub while in Boston. I had read a review on Yelp that the Corrib had a great french dip sandwich (again, probably not the typical choice at an Irish pub) but definitely something I would order. I am very glad I did as this turned out to be the best french dip I have ever had. The roast beef was cooked medium and still very tender, while the onion roll was dipped in aus jus perfectly. It was served with some sweet potato fries with a honey mustard dipping sauce. I topped this off with a pint of Sam Adams seasonal and was a happy man. Our server was friendly and attentive, and got bonus points for being authentically Irish (not confirmed :) ) It was a little unclear when we walked in if we had to seat ourselves or wait for a host, so that was a bit disappointing. We ended up asking a bartender to find out to seat ourselves. The atmosphere and price and the addition of on-site parking made this a winner. Cheers to the Corrib Pub.

Yelp
Service: went there on a Friday and the male bartender acted like the socialite of Brighton area, he should of been on the other side of the bar, while he was chugging pints behind one. Food: ordered boneless wings fresh and tasty. Bone in wings had freezer burn, entree: ordered chicken tasted like cardboard. Partner had fish, didn't have any taste. Drinks: partner ordered a Guinness, which was perfect poured slightly above room temp. When she got to the bottom of the pint, she found a piece of glass touching her lip. The bartender blamed us because of our hatred for the bone in wings. Then he asked the neighboring patrons if they did it. So fail on the drinks as I watched them use a glass to scoop their ice thereafter. Ambience : none, reminds me of a 99 restaurant, but worse. 1/5 for the Guinness, otherwise the place is Shit and the food sucked.

Larry P.

Yelp
We went there after the BC lost today, now 2 losses for the day. We had an older waitress who was on the ruder side, really didn't come much and even forgot my salad. Won't be going back. Food is "pub" food and ok for that reason, don't expect much and you won't get much.

D K.

Yelp
If I could, I would rate them with no stars. Visited the Corrib Pub on September 22, 2019, with co-workers thinking I would get good food and good service. Within the first 30 seconds of sitting at the table, the waiter gave me an attitude just because I was ready to order food. Then completely ignored me, after ordering lemonade I realize little brown things floating in the lemonade, and the outside of the glass was still dirty. I ended up leaving and went to Los Amigos. First time I was treated like I didn't belong in a place, guess we're still in the 1920s. ‍

John K.

Yelp
I went to the Corrib yesterday. As always, the staff was friendly, well informed and willing to assist in any way they could. The menu is extensive; full of wide ranging options. I had Shepard's pie which was perfectly prepared and delicious. The decor of the pub is traditional; all dark wood and brass. It's a charming, welcoming place to eat. One last thing; I appreciate a place that allows one the time to enjoy a leisurely meal without any sign of wanting the customer to hurry up.

Garth S.

Yelp
The Corrib has sort of a geriatric-working-class Brighton meets just-off-the-boat Irish hooligan vibe to it. When I was there for lunch this afternoon, the table in front of me was occupied by a group of skinhead-types in football jerseys screaming in a barely comprehensible dialect of rapid-fire English combined with some pagan language I wasn't familiar with. I heard a lot of "fook"s but I didn't understand much else. At the table beside me sat two octogenarian couples angrily complaining in thick Boston accents about . . . well, everything. When I listened more closely, however, I realized that they weren't angry at all. Apparently this is the way people who've been married since the Curley administration communicate with one another. My turkey vegetable soup was excellent. The baked salmon, however, was just so-so and the rice was undercooked. I guess that averages out to an OK meal. I didn't want any of the heavy desserts on the menu but the waitress said "no problem" when I asked if I could order a dish of ice cream, which was not on the menu. She even sprayed on some whipped cream and put a cherry on top. The bar and dining room were dark and the windows, which seemed above shoulder height, gave the place a cavernous feel. The paper place mats contained ads for a number of local establishments, including the McNamara Funeral Home. Given the patrons, I'm sure the ad has the potential to be quite lucrative for the Messrs. McNamara. Overall, I'd say the Corrib is a diner masquerading as a bar but I'd try it again, if only to see if I could squeeze another star out of it.

Will C.

Yelp
The waitress that sat us is different than the waitress that stared at us awkwardly trying to mind read that we already got our drink order taken. The food was pretty bland, the burger was cooked properly but there was no sauce, the fish was so overcooked it flaked, onion rings were cold. Despite the waitress standing behind us the whole time chatting to her friends it took forever for a drink refill. The restaurant clearly has an identity crisis as well, it's mostly American pub food in an Irish themed place. There was no Shepards pie and lobster ravioli, ribs and fish and chips were all on the same page.

Eliza G.

Yelp
Good food for the prices, great service, and they followed all COVID guidelines. Will definitely come back here.

Mike C.

Yelp
Corrine Pub and Restaurant is exactly what it says it is: a pub and restaurant. With a large beer selection, full bar and lunch and dinner specials, it's the type of place you'll call your usual stop and/or watering hole. Also open late, Corrib provides a solid Brighton drinking scene for those liking to watch a Red Sox game or not in the mood to overpay for craft beer. Even then, it's still a place to have a good meal, whether on a date or out with the family.

Andrew H.

Yelp
On a Saturday afternoon I visited Corrib Pub looking to fill my tummy between a double shift in Cambridge, what I got was a reason to return! I'll keep it brief... Service was polite, timely, and didn't bother me with suggestions, that is, I didn't feel pressured into getting drinks etc... The food was wonderful and more than I could finish, (bonus meal for the conservative type that actually eats leftovers as a meal). I'll definitely return, perhaps with a res. on a hot night (Fri, Sat) and we can re-rate, but I'm sure it's a 5 either way, they care about what they're serving, and how they serve it, so I recommend Corrib.

Ray F.

Yelp
Food was amazing staff was friendly and prices are great. One of my favorites in Brighton. I tell all my friends to come here.

Emily R.

Yelp
I came here one weeknight for some dinner with the man-friend. If you walk in past the bar there is a little dining room in the back. It's old school, reminded me of somewhere my Nana would love to go, and there's nothing wrong with that! We liked the vibe, very relaxed. I wouldn't say its a "date-night" type of place, but more of a lets get out of the house I don't feel like cooking type place....and who doesn't love that? ( I wore a sweatshirt and leggings -woo!) The bar looks quiet for a beer and they had some t.v.'s. The waitress was really sweet, helped me pick a sandwich. I got the corned beef ruben and he got a chicken wrap. Both were really good. My corned beef was awesome, really soft and fresh! He also got clam chowder, it was yummy! My only complaint was the fries weren't good, you could taste the grease from the fryer on them....or they tasted freezer burned...some type of taste that was not good. Other than that though it was good and I'm sure we will be back!

Dana G.

Yelp
The Corrib is one of my favorite places in the city to go for a chill meal. My boyfriend used to live just down the street, so we were regulars for a while. The waitresses we had were all really friendly. One in particular would recognize my man and his roommate (who were frequenting the Corrib long before I was in the picture) and stop by our table for a chat when it wasn't too busy. I only ever had one menu item that was sub-par, and that was the veggie burger. I'm a big fan of the Gardenburger-type variety, and Corrib's was some sort of a fried shell encasing corn and peas, etc. It wasn't horrible... it was really just a personal taste kind of thing. All the pasta dishes I tried were really good (pesto penne erred a bit on the bland side, but was still good), the grilled cheese is classically delicious, and the clam chowder is probably the best I've ever had. Really creamy and loaded with clams. My favorite part of the Corrib experience is their dessert coffees. The Nutty Irishman (Bailey's and Frangelico, if I remember correctly) and Keoke (Kahlua, creme de cacao, and brandy) are my personal favorites. I've tried dessert coffees at several other places around the city, and the Corrib ties with Jacob Wirth's as my favorite. This winter I'll definitely miss the brisk walks down the street to get warmed up with a bowl of chowder and mug of coffee with a kick.

Car C.

Yelp
3 stars only because of service. Arrived at 7:20 on a Sunday evening. Was rudely told by waitress that they are not serving anymore food, then she said well if you get your order in fast which we did. She then explained one of the staff had died that day and they were closing early. We felt bad and didn't want to ask for anything like more drinks or butter when we needed it and she also didn't ask. I wish we had just gone somewhere else, the food was good for the little I ate as was uncomfortable. I think I'll try again sometime to see if it was just the night it was.

Brandon V.

Yelp
The Corrib is a nice, quiet restaurant and pub. I've never been there just for drinking, so I cannot speak for the bar side, but the restaurant is very cozy. I've only been there on week days after work for a quick dinner, and have never been disappointed. Their prices are low, and the food is always cooked right. I've had both steak and fish and never had a complaint. The service is very friendly. There is nothing special about the place, but that's part of what makes it good for me. The atmosphere is that of a local pub, with older people from the neighborhood coming out for dinner. Also, you can park in the lot next door, which is helpful.

Patrick B.

Yelp
When was the last time you sat at a really long bar, had plenty of elbow room, and weren't forgotten by the bartender? If this sounds like a good time, head down to the Corrib Irish Pub where there was a list of about 8 lunch specials, most for $8.95, including sliders, roast chicken, chicken parm over pasta, and, in an effort to send out the love to their Italian brethren, an Italian sub sandwich. Feeling traditional, I went with bangers and mash ($7.95) off the menu, a plate of mashed potatoes with 4 Irish sausage links and baked beans. Tasty, but could have used a few more sausages for this ever-demanding belly. My friend had a roast beef sandwich with fries that was piled with meat. Beers on tap include Sam Adams, Harp, Bass, and Guinness. I'm sure they've stooped to Bud Light for the masses as well. Oh, and there's a selection of about 5 or 6 flat screens over the bar where I witnessed press conferences about the ridiculous Spygate situation, though watching a real game would have been a lot more fun.

Becki L.

Yelp
I've had some mixed experiences at this particular Corrib Pub (the one in Brookline is pretty different in terms of atmosphere), but it's never been exceptional. The food is decent (which is the only reason I've been more than once). My most recent visit was a product of wanting a low key dinner and Brighton Beer Garden was too packed for that to happen. Corrib, on the other hand, was nearly deserted (and I can understand why). The service was absolutely terrible. Our server had what appeared to be only one other table, yet there was a wait on everything. Drinks were always empty, the food took forever, and we honestly started to wonder if she was ever coming back with our check. If you really want to have food from Corrib, order it for take out or try the Brookline location. Save yourself from this location's service (or lack thereof).

Eunice E.

Yelp
Though I'm obsessed with Brighton Center, this is one place that I hadn't frequented at all until last weekend. Now I see that my woman's intuition was saving me from disappointment. The food here was so bland and boring; it didn't even help that I had a dashing and handsome dinner partner. Usually that makes EVERYTHING better, amirite?! My chicken parm was seriously lacking in flavor and sauce. Even the sweet potato fries were blah. SWEET POTATO FRIES. Those should NEVER be just blah! And I swear to goodness my Diet Coke tasted like flat flavorless fizz. And a few bites of the boo's black and white pudding a la the Irish Breakfast meal were enough to corroborate that his plate was just as meh as mine. The service was a'ight, the restaurant itself was clean (though they were only using half the space...?), but the food just ain't worth it. I'd much rather go to many of the other places around the area -- at least I won't be snoozing at my table!

Tom G.

Yelp
Three words: boxed mashed potatoes. Unacceptable in any setting where I am paying for the food. And they weren't even done well - dry, clumped, gross. The shepherd's pie had canned corn, canned peas, and canned gravy with some low grade beef (not even lamb). Really, really a terrible place. The client base skews older, so maybe they are fine with getting served garbage. I'm not and I'll never go back. There are plenty of local places where I can get $5 Guinness but with better food.

Lauren G.

Yelp
I was having the worst Sunday ever. It was my last day off from work before I get back into that grind, ya know? I had laundry to do, my friend/roommate was asking me to print stuff out while I was in the middle of doing all of laundry, and kept reminding me that she needed to use my printer, which was getting on my last nerve! She was also planning on going out for a date that night, while single, spinstery me was doing all the dirty work while no one else (my roommate or my dad, that i live with) was giving a damn about how much is on my plate. #white people problems, btw........ ANYWAY, I decided to go on my own mission to give myself something to do. I was going to attempt to get in contact with my cousin who banned me from her apartment, blocked my number, and even her mom told me that if I tried to get in contact with her the police would end up at my door - so I was gonna go to her house and just talk to her....because she gave me no other choice. I actually needed to talk to her because I've got a stalker after my ass, and she could very well have proof that he's infiltrated my life, but this is besides the point. I get lost in Brighton, as it was rather dark, and my phone was being an asshole and not letting me renew my monthly plan so I could not use google maps, but I eventually found her apartment. I knocked several times, but no one answered. So I decided to find the nearest bar or pub that was open on a Sunday night, and use their wi-fi. It happened to be the Corrib Pub! I was greeted right away, given a drink promptly because I sure needed one at that point. I ended up meeting a really sweet guy named Nick who let me vent about my day to him. Either way, the staff was friendly and prompt and the bar patrons seemed to be nice as well. Of course, this was my first and only visit, but I definitely would love to go back there, soon. Also they've got a really nice coffee house porter! (I am so sorry that I forgot the name of the girl that took care of me....but she was great!)

Brook T.

Yelp
I like Corrib pub. Both locations. The service and food is always consistent. In this world consistent food and service is a major plus for me. The vibe is there is very local. The crowd is older than a typical bar scene, which I like. I would rather be dining with grandpa's than frat boys any day. The price of everything is great! I am always full and satisfied after leaving Corrib. My bank account is still in tact as well. The Corrib Pub is doing it's own thing and I respect that. I will continue to eat there when I want some good eats and a friendly environment.

Mike D.

Yelp
My wife and I have been regulars at the Corrib for years (though we've tapered off a little bit over the past six months), so it feels kind of weird to rate them. It's kind of like reviewing Sunday dinner at your grandmother's. I mean if I were being totally honest I probably wouldn't give them five stars but I really like most of the servers and I basically just feel welcome and at home here. My problem with the menu is that the entrees are frigging huge so I have to be really hungry to get one. I know that sounds like a goofy criticism but I don't like having food go to waste, and when you get an entree you get salad or soup, some version of potatoes (or rice or pasta with a few options), and veggies on top of a heaping amount of whatever it is you've just ordered. The food is always solid (except the salads can be a little wilty once in a while)... not like you'd write home about... or even write Yelp about... at least for the five plus years you've had a Yelp account... but good, honest food served by nice people. Oh yeah... the Irish breakfast is very good. They serve it at all times but also have a more dinnery version called the Irish mixed grill which is just super... plus they do real Irish curry sauce and feature an appetizer of that with bangers and fries. Kick ass.

Yelp
A simple place with good food, good drink, and excellent wait staff. Nothing fancy, but that is exactly what makes it great.

Yelp
This place is an old standby. The food is solid, the service is quick and attentive, and the atmosphere is laid back. The latter is true probably because on the several occasions I've eaten here, I'm one of the only people in the place. Compared to bars like Brighton Beer Garden, Devlin's, and Green Briar, the actual bar area is pretty small, making it one of the best-kept secrets of the Brighton Center restaurant/bar scene. Bottom line: come here for a bite and a beer or two on the cheap. If you're looking for something flashy after 9PM, you're better off heading elsewhere.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place, as it has the look and feel of an Irish pub from the outside and even if you peer in the window at the bar. But, beyond the bar, Corrib Pub is definitely not worth a visit. It was a last-minute dinner decision to come to Corrib, as it's a stone's throw from our apartment. We walked into the dining area and there was hostess. I peered around and saw one table of patrons, one of whom told us we had to walk down the hall and find a hostess to seat us. After a minute or so, we found her and were brought to a booth. Our waitress was very friendly, but not good at her job, honestly. She gave us our appetizers very quickly... and our salads less than a minute later... and our entree's less than 5 minutes after that. Our table was full of dishes and silverware and was a complete mess, so much so that we had to move our condiments to the seat next to my boyfriend just to free up a little space. The food itself was very, very gross. I got a fish dish and it was so bland I couldn't have more than a bite or two, surrendering to the fact that my dinner would simply consist of our bad mozzarella sticks appetizer, my small starter salad, and my mashed potatoes side dish. Overall, this experience was barely worth a two-star review, so we will continue to choose Brighton Beer Garden over the Corrib Pub.

Yelp
The food is solid. Nothing fantastic but nothing bad. Typical cheap sit down dinner. I love they have Magners on tap :)

Yelp
I have been a customer for 12 years at the Corrib. Not any more. After 3 weeks in a row of getting the order wrong.(obviously intended) it was brought to a new level last Sunday. My wife's drink from the bar arrived in 4 minutes mine 14 minutes. The drink was then slammed on the table by the new lousy waitress/bartender they have. This was to let me know my waitress wouldn't bring a tainted drink. I spent three hours with incredible stomach pain that afternoon. No worries I found out today it is illegal to do that. So now I must email the state police and the board of health and my lawyer. Sorry Corrib loved coming over for lunch. Not willing to get sick for it. One bad apple/irrelevant waitress ruins the bushel. We have been to the restaurant over 200 times. We bring our children there our grandchildren there and our friends. We have never been anything but nice and always tip over 20%. Good luck with your rotten apple.

Yelp
DELICIOUS BEEF STEW. Apparently, when it's not crowded AKA week nights (maybe all the time? Who knows lol) they don't open up the dining area, so we had to sit at the bar, kind of annoying. Turkey club was full of fresh turkey, very tasty, but the beef stew awww man, what great comfort food.

Yelp
I feel like Corrib is a little secret. Since it's not right on Washington St, I tend to forget about it when thinking about food options. However, I'm always glad when I pop in. The food is quick, and very good. I've only sat at the bar for my meals, and the bartender has always been very attentive. It's never been that busy, but I tend to have gone at weird times. Definitely a good place to stop in to when you're craving some pub food and some drinks.
