Corrientes 348 Glória

"The name of this restaurant is a reference to the famous Argentinian tango “A Media Luz”, while the number 348 corresponds to the number of the street where the first of the brand’s ventures opened in Greater São Paulo. It overlooks the Marina da Glória, hence the spectacular views from tables on the terrace, and features several spacious dining rooms and an extensive glass-fronted wine cellar. The culinary focus is of course on Argentina and choice cuts of meats cooked on the grill, including specialities such as ribeye, centre cut ribeye, filet mignon with garlic, chorizo sausage and top sirloin, all accompanied by sides designed for sharing. To finish, the “dulce de leche” pancake served with sorbet is an authentic Argentinian dessert that is truly irresistible." - Michelin Inspector

The venue offers a pleasant atmosphere within the Marina da Glória, featuring on-site parking, security, a balcony, and an enclosed lounge. The ambiance is relaxed, positioned between casual and upscale. Pricing is notably high, with an approximate cost of BRL 800.00 for two adult meals and one children's meal, excluding alcoholic beverages. However, the establishment is distinguished by excellent cuisine and outstanding service.

One of the best places around rio, if you want to have a very good meal and if you want to try a delightful piece of meat .

We had a great meal here. The steak was perfectly cooked. We enjoyed some small appetizer dishes and several of the sides. The location is really fun and has a great feeling in the marina area. We had a table just inside and they accommodated our large party without issue. My favorite sides were the polenta, grilled heart of palm, and pao de queijo .

Don’t be led astray by the Michelin guide. Underseasoned, no char, and the ojo de bife which usually is the center part of a ribeye, was mostly just fat. Even the chimichurri was useless. The batata soufflé was so greasy and not crisp just floppy. Sooo many good steak places in this city. This is not one of them. Curses, Michelin.

Food was excellent but beware, a full portion is for 2 people! We had ribeye and lamb rack with garlic potatoes and the lamb was absolutely standout. Chocolate cake for pudding was delicious. Service was outstanding, really friendly and helpful with recommendations. Drinks were also great. Really nice atmosphere here!

So disappointing. Even more as an Uruguayan. The place was really nice, very confortable chairs nicely decorated. The meat was ok but the other dishes, supposed to be argentinian really disappointing. We ordered a" papa al plomo con Roquefort". As you can see in the pictures they brought a sliced potato with some cold Roquefort. Not exactly the real one.( A hole potate cooked with the skin on the parrilla with melted Roquefort cheese). The chorizo was ok but didn't taste either like a real argentinian chorizo. Than, for desert, " panqueque de manzana". It was just ice cream, (couldn't taste any apple )with some noisettes on top. Where is the caramel? Where are the apples and where is the pancake batter? Any argentinian wood be horrified. So overpriced. Absurd.

Excellent quality food, the roasted palm cores were flavorful and velvety smooth. The cheese empanadas were buttery soft. They use pasta straws which is a fun twist. Steak was perfectly done.

Yelp
Expensive and the quality is not there . I had a bad cut of a contra filet - full of fat and almost impossible to eat . Go to other steak houses in Rio that are much better and way cheaper !
