From the moment we walked up to Corteza, the experience felt different. We arrived just before happy hour, expecting to wait outside, but Daniel—our server—noticed us, flipped the sign, and welcomed us in with the kind of hospitality you don’t forget. That simple gesture set the rhythm for the rest of the visit.
Once inside, Daniel didn’t just take our order; he guided us through the menu with genuine enthusiasm, pointing out the dishes that define the restaurant’s identity. Only later did we learn that Corteza is a family‑owned spot, which explains the warmth and the sense of pride you feel in every detail.
The oysters were the highlight—fresh, bright, and dressed so well that I immediately ordered another half‑dozen after finishing the first. Every plate that followed kept the same standard: thoughtful flavors, clean execution, and a clear respect for ingredients.
Corteza delivered an experience that felt personal, relaxed, and delicious from start to finish. We’ll be returning soon.
