Last week, my parents and I went to Coruce and we had a fantastic time! We called in advance and asked if we could bring the dog, and I spoke to Martie who was happy to accommodate us. Coruce has a variety of different wines, and you get 6 tastes for $12 (which is an incredible deal these days). When we arrived at the tasting room, Martie greeted us with a cute outside set up, and she gave us a history of the vineyard and their most popular wines. The Antelope Valley is known for its Syrahs, and the Coruce Syrah did not disappoint. We bought a bottle of their Syrah and their Cactus Curtain blend (a delicious, smooth, and fruity white wine). While we were tasting, we got to meet owners, Coreen and Bruce (see where Coruce comes from), and we had a lovely chat, and they even convinced us to go to a wine walk that was happening that day.
When we told Martie we were wine enthusiasts, she brought out some paper and a pen and gave us recommendations of different local (and not local) wineries to try. She was so well-versed in the grapes that grow best in the Antelope Valley (Syrah), and was so kind to us the entire time we were there. Although we only had a little time with Coreen and Bruce, they were exceptionally nice and they make incredible wines.
Go support Coruce. They are an incredible small business that makes wonderful and delicious wines!
