Cos Bar Brookfield Place

This used to be a nice place to visit when the old manager was around. Now, the sales people can't even bother to smile. It's like they don't even want you to walk in. The looks they give, it's scary.

I honestly can not get over how well I was treated!!! I literally had the best experience today buying my fragrances. The amazing Quentin spent so much time with me and got to know me just so we can find my perfect scent! I walked away with 2 luxury fragrances and I feel as special as I smell. Thanks to the two sales men who treated me so kind, it really made my day. Thank you again and I will be back for the perfume “danger” & for a new skin care regimen.

Today we came across this fragrance store called COS BAR and all I can say is if you are from out of town or live in town then this is where your fragrance needs will be found. Had the pleasure and undivided attention from an employee by the name of Mary. Let me tell you how she knows about all the fragrances and description. She was extremely helpful with giving me information on Creed Aventus cologne for men. She wasn't pushy like some places are. All I can say is if you want someone who will find what it is that you need or desire in a fragrance she will be the one to help you find it. Thanks again Mary and we will be seeing you soon.

I had a great experience. I went on a little mission to find a perfume to use on the go. I had a great experience with the agent on the floor. Quinntin knows his stuff!! I was trying to express what I was looking for in terms of scent and he said I have the perfect one that matches your energy. He popped out two of the most heavenly scents I have come across. I was obsessed from first sniff. I have gotten such great compliments on the scents. I grabbed one but I am definitely coming back for the next one real soon.

Amazing personalized service! Quentin was absolutely amazing. He showed me many different scents and didn't lose patience even though i'm so picky! He was extremely friendly as well and gave me some fashion advice at my request. Thank you Quentin!

These people are pros. Every person who works at this location truly knows what they're talking about. They always manage to strike just the right balance of being helpful without being pushy, being warm and friendly without being patronizing. Beauty shopping can be tricky and I've had plenty of experiences where salespeople preyed on every insecurity, put on a ton of pressure to make a big purchase, or had no idea what they were doing--never once in this shop. The store carries some of the most luxurious and effective brands out there, and tons of gorgeous, niche fragrances including Byredo, Ex Nihilo, Parfums de Marly, and Initio. They have makeup and skincare from Sisley, Westman Atelier, Hourglass, Chantecaille, Cle de Peau, and Tom Ford. They also have some very pretty hair clips, beautifully scented candles, silk scrunchies from Slip, Mason Pearson hair brushes, and Jenny Patinkin gua sha tools. I can't recommend this store highly enough. It is a hidden gem!

This place is a gem. I will never shop anywhere else. The customer service is phenomenal. I had the pleasure and honor of being assisted by the assistant manager, Royce, and what a wonderful experience he provided. He was neither pushy nor brand loyal. He gave me his honest opinion in reference to ALL my questions (and believe me I had plenty). I can't wait to go back there and be assisted by Royce again. All his opinions were based on products that he tried and tested. I'm obsessed. I can't wait to go back and spend my salary there. Hey, at least I'll enjoy it and my skin and hair will thank me 😊Again, shout out to Royce! Love you! You're the best!! ❤️❤️❤️Update, this place is still amazing!!!!! You MUST go. The incredible Royce, the assistant manager, is still there and super happy to help with everything and anything. I also had the pleasure of being assisted by the manager, Mary, and she provided another exemplary experience. Mary is honest, extremely knowledgeable, kind and attentive. I feel so lucky. Now that we're all getting back to "normal" life, we can see each other's faces again. It's time to delve back into skincare and beauty at full force. This is the place for that and sooo much more. What a wonderful experience! There was a lovely woman who was very attentive and kind. She made me feel comfortable and welcomed. What drew me in to this store was the selection of hard to find products that happened to be here. I know where to go should I need a beauty fix.

After the introduction to Cos Bar by my kids while visiting NY I can honestly say it was one of the highlights of our trip! Damiana Dasilva was absolutely amazing, kind, patient, super and knowledgeable about all the fragrances ! She assisted my family of 5 enthusiastically and gracefully! I had a fantastic experience here at CosBar with Damiana! I was visiting family in NY and wanted to check out some Niche fragrances. Damiana was working and was so welcoming and friendly! I had come with my brother and sister and she helped each of us individually without making us feel rushed at all! She seriously listened and tried to find fragrances we may like based on what we already love! I walked out with 3 fragrances and i get compliments every time i wear them! We loved Damiana's energy and she truly made you feel special! I found her to be so helpful, that I called my mother and brother to come find fragrances as well!! I will definitely be returning! Absolutely amazing shopping experience with Damiana at Cos Bar. I was able to find my perfect fragrance thanks to her kindness, patience, and passion for what she does. We had a rather large party (family of 5!), all looking for individual fragrances with varying levels of prior knowledge regarding perfumes and niche fragrances. She helped all of us with a smile on her face and made us all feel welcome! We will most definitely come back when in NY again, and we'll be looking forward to Damiana's help again! :D

I was in dire need of a new skincare routine, and luckily the workers at Cosbar always hook it up. Royce, Quentin, and Mary always give the best advice on skin and all things to make you glow. Today I went in and Royce helped me pick out an entire new line today, and also gave me the ability to try a few new products. He went carefully over what and what not to do when it came to using the products. Everything was awesome and I got to walk away with some of the best and most useful skincare products. Always a great time here!

This is gonna be a long one! I went into Cos Bar for the first time 5 minutes before it closed to grab a lipstick for a show I was going to that night. I waited while the gentleman, Q, helped two of the most annoying women I have ever had the joy of listening to without losing his patience. Impressive. Most impressive. When it was my turn he didn't make me feel bad that it was after closing hours, in fact, he never even mentioned it. Instead he helped me find a better lipstick than was originally going to get and after he found out it was my first time there he proceeded to go through some of Cos Bars make up brands that I had never heard of. He tested a foundation on my forehead then gave me a few samples to try which is smart because after trying it again I am going to buy it. By the end he had given me a full make over and I looked like a different person. Oh and a class of prosecco. And two pieces of chocolate. And a hug when I left. Who is this angel?? I will go back to Cos Bar with any questions because of this man. Q. You are amazing.

Hmm. Well you'll get lots of attitude in this store and distinct lack of care for a customer's needs. If you like snobby service, go for it. I hightailed it across the street to Sephora at Oculus where a really talented and super friendly make up artist helped me pick out and buy four new products. What a contrast to Cos.

This review is far overdue. Let me provide some context. I have been a skincare connoisseur since the age of sixteen. I am a Bloomingdales Loyalist. A Sephora rouge VIP. I was in SpaceNK the week they opened in America. I birchbox. But now, I CosBar first and foremost. The selection of brands is top notch. They cut all the fat and only carry the highest quality and most effective lines. The layout of the store makes it soothing and spa-like to peruse. No claustrophobia or trying to hide behind displays for privacy. And no reason to look for privacy. Because unlike every other skincare/makeup store: the staff is your nonjudgmental helper. My first experience in CosBar started with a desire to begin wearing lipstick. I went in the store sweating with fear. My application skills were childlike. Enter: Luis. This man didn't even blink at the fact that I am picky and don't stop looking until I find something I truly love. In fact, he encouraged this behavior. He helped me find lipstick that changed my life. I know that sounds dramatic. But it's true. I came back in a month or so later. Luis asked me how I enjoyed the exact products I got. He remembered every color I tried and what I bought. I couldn't believe this level of service. I was used to being my own skincare sherpa. And yet here was this angel who cared about my happiness and face as much as I do. In the past year Luis has helped me elevate my skincare to the point where people guess I am (no joke) ten years younger than I am. I already was mistaken for someone much younger. I am amazed that we could take my skin to a whole other level of health, beauty, and protection. As someone with extremely sensitive combination skin, I am shocked by how calm and soothed my skin is now. Helping someone with a complex of skin issues like me takes time, attention, patience, and genuine caring. And that is what I have found at CosBar. Even when Luis isn't there, the rest of the staff (Johanna is a pro) have been extremely helpful. Assisting me in addressing very specific and hard to tackle face care issues. Further more, the staff is honest about their experiences with the products. I know this review is long, but I am deeply in love with the CosBar experience. I have only dreamed that someone would care so much about me returning to them because their help was that good. To get my business in this department is very, very difficult (especially with all the options out there). I would also like to add that CosBar has a very special and well curated fragrance selection. Not only was I converted into someone who wears fragrance, so was my husband. The scents Luis helped me discover are like aromatherapy and have become part of my outfits (even for a sensitive nose like mine, I usually get nauseous from scents). The best products, the best service, the best results, best ambiance. Thank you CosBar.

Dustin Lujan is absolutely amazing. We met virtually during the quarantine and his knowledge and expertise is unmatched. Anytime I have any question or need anything whatsoever he is always available. I have switched all my beauty shopping to Cos Bar because of his supreme customer service. 5 stars all around. I would give more if I could. Even though I've been living in Florida for a few months. I still make all my orders from him in NYC.

Sephora who??!! Let me say if you are a person who invests in high end beauty products this is the place to go. They have the best of the best and the staff is so knowledgeable and friendly. I had the pleasure of working with the manager Dustin I told him exactly what I was looking for and he did not disappoint. I wanted a natural looking foundation and he recommended Tom Ford (People have been stopping me on the street asking who my Dr. is by the way because I have such an awesome glow) which is amazing and a hydrating lip balm he recommended the Surge Lutens which is super pricey but the only one that has helped my super dry lips it's perfect under long wear lipsticks that dry out your lips. I will be back this place is AMAZING and the all of the staff are superstars.

Awesome collection of brands and not pushy at all. They did a full make up on me while let me decide what i wanna take . Very personal yet professional touch

They have created an extremley personal experience unique to any other beauty store. I was browsing after work and was immediately greeted upon walking in by a friendly employee of Cos Bar. She then proceeded to ask wat I was looking for, my preferencesm etc. Sat me down and did a full makeup tutorial! The women who work here are eager to help you find beauty products that work and are right for you. Although expensive, the experience is far worth it. I'll be back!

Extremely disappointed with the experience I had here. I frequent cosbar locations around the country and am always blown away by their welcoming attitude and great customer service. This is the second time I've been to this store and both times have been treated very poorly. This time I was making a return and received incredibly poor service and a sense of judgement for returning the product. It was shocking being the fact I was the Only Person in the entire store, so it's not like I was inconveniencing them during a busy shopping day. Overall I will never return to this location because of this experience. If I'm paying top dollar for beauty and skincare products I don't expect to be treated with a poor judgmental attitude.

Despite someone reaching out to follow up, they never did. Seems typical of their business model.

This place is what a cosmetic bar should be! By all means, go and be sure to ask for Carla if you're looking for the best customer service. She is a truly talented makeup artist that knows all the tricks in the book. There is something new and exquisite here for everybody!

This place is amazing! I've never shopped or actually been into Cos Bar before but so so happy I stumbled upon it. They have all my favorites from cle de peau to La Mer. I was on the lookout for Tom Ford's Lost Cherry and was SO pleasantly surprised that they said that they were expecting a shipping. I went every day for a week in hope of me finally getting my hands on a bottle of Lost Cherry. When they got a shipment Dustin from Cos Bar called me and said that it was finally here! I went in after work and Dustin and Sharon really took care of me-even giving me a few samples to take home with. They were super welcoming, can't recommend this place enough!!

I came here to get my makeup done and Sanchel (Sunshine) took care of me. We didn't even have an appointment but she accommodate my 2 friends and I. She even stayed open late for us. Was really pleased with the results and took home some great products that I can't wait to use!

COS BAR is my happy place! The staff is amazingly knowledgeable and generous; their suggestions are right on target and give me rave reviews whenever I try them! Every time that I pop in, I discover something new and wonderful. It's like a little jewel in Brookfield place. Everyone should go!

This place is awesome and I'm so happy I found it! Really a step up from department store makeup counters. The staff is truly at a higher level. I have worked with Sharon twice now and she is true gem! I left feeling beautiful and also educated on some great new products I purchased. On my second visit, I stopped in to purchase some new cleansing and moisturizing products and I had 2 large suitcases with me as I was in my way to the airport. Sharon walked me all the way down to the PATH train because she was concerned I would have a hard time getting down the large escalators to the station entrance. What a sweetheart! Highly recommended!

I've never shopped at Cos Bar before and I called about a product only to be told Cos Bar doesn't carry it. I looked online and turns out they do. The guy who answered the phone was extremely rude. I probably will never go to a Cos Bar. I work in Brookfield place so if I had good experience, I definitely would have referred colleagues. Definitely not now.

I came in recently for the first time to get some quick makeup done for pictures after getting may hair blown out. I was in somewhat of a rush, the staff was friendly, helpful, they worked together on doing my makeup. They applied some skincare, did some quick foundation, shadow, bronzer, and at the last moment the woman mentioned she could put on some lashes, she glued 5 on each. Makeup looked great, but I don't need much to begin with. The cost of 30 minutes max to do some makeup and quick lashes by the sales team who from what I could gather were not makeup artists seemed a bit on the steep side. A wedding makeup artist will charge that in New York City. I know that because I was married right in Battery Gardens minutes from the store. I love the place, array of quality lines, staff was great, but charging upwards of $100 for some quick makeup is overkill. You can go to a makeup counter and have them do the same job for free and spend $100 on product. I would never do that again, but you live and you learn!

I have shopped here since it opened and like the manager very much, but the staff are arrogant, pushy and amateurish. They try to up sell whenever they can, and trash products and brands they don't sell. I have countless examples of this happening to me. I went in today looking for a specific high end perfume. They don't carry it and the sales clerk had the nerve to suggest it was "down market" because Estée Lauder just bought the company and they don't sell "mainstream" brands. Um, OK. Guess Bobbi brown doesn't count since they carry that line but they were purchased by Estee too. The perfume I was looking for sells at Barneys and Saks, even though the Cos salesperson sniffed their nose at Saks. Cos may be a big hit in Colorado but NYC has many high end beauty options. Done with this store and the obnoxious staff.

"Q" assisted me with my La Mer and Laura Mercier as I was rushing through traffic near closing time. He went the extra mile to make sure I had samples to tide me over before my packages would arrive. Definitely coming back! Thank you Cos Bar!

Had a wonderful experience last month when i popped in before an event. got a very quick tutorial and eye/lip application which looked great. the experience inspired me to bid on a private party at Cos at my daughter's school auction, during which I got a full makeover by Maria who was amazing. Very knowledgeable but not pushy at all, did a beautiful, natural look which was exactly what I wanted. I bought a lot of what she used, now just hoping I can replicate it at home! I wouldn't hesitate to book a makeup application here for a special event, or just pop in for 1 or 2 new items. The staff is all super friendly and helpful.

I love my trips to Cos Bar!! I love going and seeing Maria as she is so knowledgeable for all my beauty needs especially having sensitive skin she is spot on. I highly recommend Cos Bar as they are professional as well as friendly. All of the associates take their time in helping you with whatever you are looking for and always offering new ideas. I always leave happy!!!

On Friday night, I was (admittedly) en route to Sephora when my friend quickly suggested to try out Cos Bar instead! And so began my new friendship with Dustin aka skincare and makeup extraordinaire! I have hyper-pigmentation and was looking for a foundation that could finally properly cover it up while giving my dull looking skin a much needed boost! Dustin introduced me to Cle de Peau foundation, which not only provides FLAWLESS coverage but actually helps treat the condition. A foundation, blush, and under eye concealer later, I have some AMAZING new luxurious products that put my entire makeup bag to shame. I received premium treatment from Dustin who really took the time to address my (many) needs with patience and care. Sephora and other competing luxury makeup/ skincare boutiques do not offer this personalized treatment. My friend received a complimentary makeover, too! I can't tell you enough how this experience took an ordinary Friday and transformed it into a fun ladies night filled with rose and many selfies later. Thank you Dustin, I'll be back for your expertise (and quite frankly, friendship). Check this place out; I can't recommend it enough.
