Cosentino’s Nursery

When my husband and I were in Malibu California we came across this beautiful succulent nursery. We live in Texas and flew home with 21 succulents. I asked specifically if they ship incase I wanted more and they said yes. I’m never seen more beautiful succulents and variety!! The very nice man that helped us said he’d been there for over 40 years and was very knowledgeable. I can’t recommend them enough!! For beginners and pros, they have what you want!

I’ve never seen many of the beautiful plants they have and I’ve definitely never seen succulents in such large numbers. It was the succulent version of walking through IKEA for the first time. Absolutely love them and can’t wait to get back for more gorgeous plants! 🪴

Have a large variety of plans and very helpful. Can be but abrupt and all and all good service.

Great place to go if you want succulents for landscaping not just for one pot on a table or shelf. They have SO MANY succulents of so many different kinds that I have never seen anywhere else. And they have great deals if you buy in bulk. A little rugged but the staff was nice and very knowledgeable.

We are from SF area. Happened to stop by last week during our spring break trip. The price is amazing compared to the nursery and Home Depot in SF area. I am thinking to drive all the way here again to buy medium sized.

That's not very tough. I personally am an expert marksman the only medal I need. ( I disassemble fast also ) but this review is not intended to be offensive to the Malibuites or law abiding residents of the biggest Farm state in the USA. California! This review is the platform for which an individual can give their honest review of a business. Her perceived hostility as something beyond just individual interactions--She literally called the police only minutes after I went into the neighbors PROPERTY LOT almost as if her aggression was rooted in something spiritual or unseen.In communities where there are differing beliefs or energies, this can lead to subtle or even overt hostility.In our amazing Malibu community where there are differing beliefs or energies, we need to remember to Chill-out . Perhaps the aggression is against the new property owner and parking spaces. excuse me, but the business next door owns the property and no matter how this affects her business her reactive and toxic nature can not force anyone especially the local police ( who are too busy to do her dirty work) to get out of her way on PCH. No one has better quality plants and prices than Cosentino. The most helpful the most beautiful plants.

My partner and I were looking to get succulents and we came across Cosentino's Nursery. Phil and his wife were very welcoming when we got there and answered any questions we had. Their nursery is beautiful and you have a wide variety of succulents to choose from individual ones to pre-potted ones. I would 10/10 recommend coming here! Also they have good deals :) We are excited to be back!

Love the varieties of succulents and learning more about planting them. Very helpful owner. Beautiful pots! We got the 16 succulents for $40 which was a good deal. We are planting them in beach driftwood and they are beautiful!

A terrific shop off of PCH Malibu where you can shop wholesale and get a bit of knowledge along the way. Stroll down endless aisles of succulents, select a case of your favorites and a pot and go home with a project and a smile. I will come back again because I've made a friend who encouraged my interest in succulents.

We went to Cosentino's Nursery in Malibu today. It's dangerous. You can buy 16 succulents for $30. And then of course you need big pots to put them in, and potting soil. The lizard had poor customer service, but Phil is awesome and very knowledgeable. They have an awesome selection of common succulents as well as hard-to-find varieties.

Best prices I've ever seen for succulents! Not to mention there is a large variety to choose from. Check out their discount planter section for incredible bargains. Also, keep an eye out for adorable wild bunnies munching on weeds.

My favorites place to get my plants. People drive here from palm Springs to get the best plants. Non green house and naturally grown. Prices are amazing. I not only get stuff for myself but my friends too!

A succulent fanatic's dream. Snuggled between side roads along the scenic Pacific Coast Highway rests Cosentino's Nursery, a safe harbor for hardy, adorable drought-friendly plants. The garden is run by a friendly and knowledgeable man whose love for greenery is effusive. The selection of flowering plants range from lavender to poppies and evergreens while the top section is reserved for the rows of mini-to-medium sized cuties (aka succulents). The picks are diverse and the prices more than reasonable. Additionally, these are all grown out in the local sun and weather. Doing so seems to make these plants hardier than the ones I've gathered from Home Depot, etc (?due to being greenhouse grown). Here are some selections: - Succulents: $2.50 for one and $8 for five - Lavender: large plant for $24.50 - 50% off right now Of note plenty of parking when you drive up.

Such an amazing nursery with the best selection of plants! Everyone who works there is so helpful and kind and they also have great pots too! (With drainage holes!) My go to nursery for sure and not to mention a phenomenal location

If you are looking for succulents, you are definitely in the right place. When you see the word Nursery, images come to mind of a Nursery that has quite the variety of plants and florals. If you are looking for more variety, i.e. Florals, indoor plants, etc, you may want to try Pacific View Nursery, or better yet, Green Thumb Nursery. They do have a variety of pots for both indoor and outdoor plants. They have quite a variety of succulents but that's pretty much it.

Happy wife = Happy Life My wife has been wanting to come to this place for awhile and was astonished of the variety and unique succulents and plants provided here. And most of all, she loved the great prices. My wife has been into succulents for the past 5 years and we've seen our fair share of succulents in SoCal being sold in Filmore, Ventura, Santa Barbara, Goleta, Oxnard, Santa Monica, etc etc...So far Phil's collections, variety, and Awesome PRICES has been the best of all the places we've been to and have seen! Also, Phil has been very kind and gracious with his deals and is very well informed and educated and definitely knows what he is doing. Its nice to talk to someone who is so passionate, well informed, and loves their occupation/job/hobby. It makes a big difference for the customers experience. this place is massive and expansive. They have tons of terracotta pots in many colors and an insane amount of succulents. It feels endless. They also have smaller, premade, floral/succulent arrangements which are lovely as a centerpiece for your home or coffee table. The staff has always been helpful to me both in person or when calling. I know they do deliver as well. It's just off PCH and has parking. It's more or less entirely outdoors. The focus here is succulents so if you are interested in something else, I'd call ahead. I've found their prices to be fair.

I love Cosentino's! Being new to LA, I was taking a ride west thru Malibu on the PCH when we spotted the Cosentino's sign and quickly pulled over! I'm SO glad we did!! What a find!! Cosentino's has a very large selection of succulents and nursery plants at unbeatable prices. They carry a wide range of pots - from terracotta to beautifully glazed in all shapes and sizes!. In addition, they have the most beautiful already potted succulent arrangements and wreaths! They are gorgeous!! This long standing, family-owned, friendly business knows their stuff and are more than happy to help you find exactly what you're looking for whether your looking to start a garden, add to one or looking for a beautiful succulent arrangement for yourself or as a gift. It's all here and at VERY reasonable prices!! Just strolling thru the grounds gazing at the Pacific just across the road and catching the scent of the fresh ocean breeze mixed with the blooming star jasmines that they have for sale was such a treat and soo relaxing !! I love that the succulents are grown by Cosentino's and that they will definitely thrive here once you get them home because they are locally grown! Such a bonus! Needless to say, I can't say enough good things about my experience at Cosentino's. We left with a flat-full of succulents and several beautiful pots! We'll definitely be back for more!

Beautiful spot but definitely meant as a wholesale nursery not a spot to buy one or five succulents. Most things are bundles are larger plants! Large selection of pots of all sizes, colors, and style!

Absolutely gorgeous nursery. The prices are so good for succulents and pots! They have 5 succulents for $9.95 and or 16 plants for $29. I WILL be making the drive back here. You can tell the people who work here genuinely love it. Such kind people.

Came here on a Saturday to brows the succulent selection and was not disappointed. Looking more for smaller plants, Cosentino's had a large area filled with two and four inch pots. 2" pots $1 4" pots $2 or 5 for $8 1 gallons for $4-$6 (also a deal for five or more) Larger fancier plants running around $30 Phil, long time employee of Cosentino's has been working at the nursery since he was 18 years old, and was more than happy to show us around. He shared some of his knowledge about agave and helped us pick out a nice Blue Glow Agave, found us a small Blue Emperor Agave to fit our needs, and a medicinal Aloe Vera plant. This is a beautiful ocean view location to spend your morning picking out hearty healthy plants. As Phil stressed to us, these plants are hearty and ready to be taken home, because they are grown in the climate outside. He explained to us how big box stores like Home Depot grow all their plants in green houses, resulting in the plants going into shock and dying from being too quickly introduced to an outdoor area with real sun light. This is not the last time I'll be here, like Phil said, "there's always next time!"

Huge selection of plants and pottery at a reasonable price. The owner was very kind and took the time to give us a few tips about gardening. My only complaint is the sign of the business entrance is not visible enough when you driving at the speed limit on PCH and if you miss the entrance, it will take a while before you can make a legal U-Turn. We turn twice but it was worth it!

I have never seen so many succulents in my whole life. The layout is open. The people who operate the place were friendly. They have a great selection. It's next to the beach.

I have driven by this place for over 45 years & finally stopped in for a peek. What a Gem! Great pricing & terrific selection of succulents. Very helpful staff. I am soooo going back! Check it out.

So many cute tiny succulents! There is a wide selection for the $1 plants. And if you wish to get a slightly bigger one, they have it for $2.50. I really enjoyed coming here, only complaint I have is that I was looking for someone because I had questions, there was no one to be found. By the time I got all the plants I wanted and was ready to pay. The owner then pops up out of no where. Note: Their entrance is easy to miss if you are driving a bit fast, you might not break in time. So if you miss it you would pretty much have to go further down and make a U turn to come back up. Their parking lot is fairly small, I think at most 4-6 cars? Not 100% Price- reasonable Return? Maybe, if I was in the area

This is an Amazing nursery and you can't beat the prices. Very friendly staff with a great knowledge and passion for plants. They have lots of variety of healthy plants in lots of different sizes. Highly recommended.

This is our FAVORITE nursery in Los Angeles. All of the plants and succulents are healthy, robust and gorgeous. The sweet man who owns the nursery taught us all about the plants we bought and the exact way to care for them. The prices are hands down the absolute best. We'll never get our succulents anywhere else. :)

When I think of cactus, I think of hot and dry, desert air. However these cactus are in another zone. Old and new, big and bigger, this outdoor nursery is filled to overflowing with cacti of assorted sizes. Was on the lookout for 2 pretty pots in 5-6" in diameter to repot my orchid and money plant. Both sorely needed new digs. For some reason, they only had large pots here, not any smaller decorative ones. Although I did not walk away with anything in my hand, I walked away with quirky pictures in my camera. Found treasures among the ruins here. Enchanted popcorn pots. pans, cookie tins, even garbage cans and plates, filled to the brim with succulents. The toys were priceless. I imagined them coming alive in this setting. Fantastic location for the next TOY STORY movie. Those lucky plants, they are subject to ocean views and sea breezes, like I said, in another zone, the ocean zone.

Wholesale succulents open to the public! There is limited signage but I did manage to find out that the 2 inch are 99 cents and 4 inch are $2.00. I got 6 of the two inchers with not a clue as to what they are I only know that they are beautiful. Not sure if the woman with the pink parasol works there or not but she sure was on my jock about where I was and was not supposed to be. She seemed half concerned for my safety but I guess she didn't realize that I have the proprioceptive prowess of a jungle cat and was not in danger of harming myself or the merch. Aside from her, everyone there was friendly and more than willing to offer information and ideas about how to make ones life more "succulent".

Pots, plants, fertilizers, you'll find it here. It can be pricey but try and negotiate. If your looking for more variety head to point dume and go to Pacific View Nursery. They have some good fertilizers, apex and bioflora and if they are out they will order them for you. Sometimes they don't even ring you up, just a "give me x amount of $$ and take them". Damn it when i drafted this review there were no previous reviews! hahahaha its all good

The plants are beautiful, well taken care of, and there is very nice variety too! The staff here are very helpful, easy to talk to, and there is even a thrift shop! Plenty of pots to choose from, many are priced pretty low!

Found this great nursery thanks to the rave reviews online. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners during my visit. They are truly the kindest and most friendly people I have met in recent memory. They are clearly expert growers and baby their plants, which is clear when you take a walk around and see how healthy their whole inventory is. The lantanas are lush and huge. The succulents are thriving and surpisingly most are grown in full sun. Not a single scorched leaf or neglected plant in site. It was a hot morning when I visited and one of the owners was carefully watering and fertilizing each of the thousands of pots. Clearly a labor of love. The prices are beyond reasonable, which was a very welcome suprise. Buying in larger quantities drops the price even lower. But honestly with the health and vigor of the plants I bought (that are now thriving in a hot sunny location), I would have paid much more. So happy to have met such personable staff and support their business. A true LA gem.

Nice variety go of plants but the guying working there shuffled around constantly keeping an eye on my dad my wife and I. It wasn't a "just making sure they don't need any help" type of look it was a "I need to keep an eye on these people, might steal stuff" type of look. All three of us felt very uncomfortable the entire time we were there, to the point where we decided to get out of there. As we got in the car and drove off, he stared at us with a mean face as if we just robbed the place. Had he not treated us like a bunch of felons and assisted in our quest to find plants, he would of made a sale and I wouldn't be on the laptop at midnight typing this review, I just felt like you guys and gals should know.

Located right off PCH in Malibu, this nursery really is a hidden gem. They have really great prices for their plants and succulents. The succulents in particular are $2.50 per plant or roughly $8.50 or so for 5 succulent plants. It's a really great deal and they have a fantastic variety. They also sell a lot of lavender plants and flowers. I tried to go find a few pots but I found that the smaller pots were mostly cracked and dirty so I don't recommend going there for terra cotta pots. Not to mention, the view is beautiful at this nursery because it sits atop of the hill. I highly recommend anyone who wants to find succulents for a good price to come here.

Beautiful space with great selection of succulents. The gentleman at the cash register was extremely knowledgeable and he even helped me carry my items out to my car! This place is great.

Absolutely love how inexpensive they are and that they sell wholesale to the public! The plants are well taken care of! Highly recommend! My wedding guests will love their little succulent party favors! They have a huge variety of plants and soil. The staff is very pleasant and helpful!

So very disappointed yet again. We try and support local business but the flowers never last. We are less than 2 mins away and we go home and cut the stems and 2 days later we get hanging roses and mostly dead. Not impressed for the 6th time.

Awesome place to shop for wholesale succulents. I totally recommend this nursery to people that are looking to buy succulents for wedding decor. And reason why... I have notice that some nursery's don't really take care of their succulents and usually have sun light burns on their leafs or are infested with bugs. Not here at Cosentino's Nursery. They really do know what they are doing. I would totally coming back!

This place is always a must stop for us while in Malibu. Has a surprising selection of sun-grown succulents. Has common succulents and some harder to find ones. I purchased three spiral aloes from here a few years ago.

Yes! Cool varieties at wholesale pricing. I was driving up the coast and missed the turn but came back on my way home. Tom (?) Super cool and really helpful. I will be back for more :D

Love this place! The beautiful pots will drag you in, the but the awesome and creative variety of succulents will inspire you to really create something cool for your home. The shop may seem out of the way and most likely pricey from the road, and yes, you can spend a lot on some of the pots, but I think there's something there for everyone. (so don't skip it!) I've had my succulents from there so long they became my pets. I just gave them to my girlfriend, because I thought I was moving to Seattle (which fell through) LOL. Now I have a really good excuse to start over, so off to Cosentino's I'm headed soon!

Went there on my birthday for more succulents. When we got there, we were all amazed by how nice the place looked! You can see the Pacific Ocean while picking succulents. They have lots of varieties that I haven't seen at other places. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely go back again for more type of succulents!

I have been looking for a nursery in the Malibu area. Well if one is interested in Succulents.. low water, hearty plants that have interesting shapes and color, Consentino's is the place to go.. Wow.. they have huge supply of succulents. Wow what an amazing selection!!! Unique varieties, beautiful and well established succulents. . . you will need at least an hour to do your shopping because there are just that many, down numerous aisles. You won't leave empty handed! Phil the owner is extremely informative. He walked us through the nursery pointing out unique/rare breeds that he received from other countries like Africa. . . and of course every one of those ended up in my flat. Phil is so passionate about all his plants, it's practically his hobby, and seeing the thousands of plants he has, clearly shows that he's been doing this for years. I've been to a fair amount of succulent nurseries in SoCal, and this one is by far the best! 4" pots at the price of 5 for a little over $8, better than wholesale!!!!!! They aren't small either. He even had a 3yr old split rock, which is a rare buy anywhere. . . and I ended up immediately coming home and replanting it into my collection! Hubby didn't leave empty handed himself, buying a new breed of a double hibiscus for his collection. I ended up leaving with 50 succulents! Will definitely be back here soon. . . . .

It's a good place to check out if you're into succulents. Right by Pacific HW. The entrance is a little hard to find. Drove past it and had to turn around. They have a huge selection of succulents. For 4", it's $2.5 each or 5 for $8.95.

Love stopping here while anywhere around Malibu. The selection is gigantic and the prices are hard to believe.

The best selection of succulents I have ever seen. Even better than the selection are the prices. It left me thinking "Am I really in Malibu paying half of what I expected to pay for these beautiful plants!?"

Loved this place. Unfortunately we were rushed to get there and came two minutes before closing time. I was only able to grab the first few plants I saw because I didn't want to leave empty handed. They have a huge selection of succulents!! All at great prices, actually the best prices I've seen. Planted the few succulents I got and they are thriving. I can't wait to get back and actually look at everything they have to offer and buy many more plants. You could spend hours looking around!

Staff are very knowledgeable and honest. All plants are grown outside in natural environment and do exceptionally well when planted at home. The plants seem acclimated and survive and thrive. I'm a repeat customer and recommend buying small plants to save money and test out locations on your property. This method has worked well for me the last few years.

Almost missed the turn off PCH but worth the journey it is a land of magical succulents. The two gentlemen that helped us were great too! Excellent experience, amazing prices. And beautiful nursery

I am so excited that I no longer have to wake up at 6AM to go to the Dtla flower market to buy my succulents! This place has the most reasonable prices and the largest selection of succulents and pots large and small I've ever seen. The guy that helped me , I think his name was Phil, was so nice and helpful. Definitely worth the trek to the Bu!
