Delicious hot fresh foccacia sandwiches. I love all the options they have; so this will suit anyone. You can see the bread being baked fresh. And then again after they put in the toppings. I went with the Stonker; which is fresh mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, arugula and olive oil. I made them add balsamic as well which made it even better. €9 is a steal for such a big sandwich. Order first and then lots of place to sit and eat upstairs. Must visit in Paris.

Google
Great place to have a budget friendly meal. I had the sandwich+drink+dessert combo. It was delicious, fresh, and at a very reasonable price. The only thing I would improve is the choice of drinks, as only a few sodas or water are available. A simple lemonade would have made my meal perfect.

Google
High quality sandwiches quickly prepared. Staff was friendly and accommodating for our large order of 13 sandwiches!

🥙Focaccia sandwiches are really good!4.8/5 🍰Tiramisu was not tiramisu enough🤨. As a dessert - 4.5/5 ……. As a Tiramisu 3/5.

Google
This was a gem of a find. What I recommend is the delicious meal set with a sandwich, drink, and dessert. Pricing was a good value for the set =15 euros each (with an upgrade of cider as a drink-which was only 1.5 euro upgrade) The upstairs dining area is a nice, cool retreat from the bustling streets of Paris. Water is offered from the tap, with a clean restroom for patrons. Compared to overfilled cafes steps away, this felt more relaxed.

Been going here since I was a kid. I’m 32 years old now. And brought my family of 3 kiddos this time with me and it did not disappoint. The Stonker is my favorite but they’re all so good. The menu with tiramisu and drink is amazing value. Always a must visit for me when I’m in Paris once a year. Thanks! See you next year ❤️

Google
Is it focaccia? I don’t care what you call it, it’s delicious. Fresh and warm straight from the brick oven, my sandwich was excellent. The gentleman who took our order was very friendly and the food is prepared with lightning speed. A nice touch was the map on the front window that points out good picnic spots around the area. So many restaurants in Paris serve heavy food with a side of fries. The food here is a refreshing change. Well worth a visit.

Yelp
A cute little sandwich shop that serves soups, sandwiches and salads. I had a special mushroom zucchini soup, and it was amazing. The green salad was very fresh and French bread of the sandwiches were unbelievable. There are plenty of seats upstairs and we saw a lot of people enjoying their sandwiches and chilling. It is self-service, so you have to order downstairs and bring your food upstairs. After you eat, you will put the dishes in the destinated place. Communication in English was not a problem at all.

Yelp
The Cheesy English is still my favorite sandwich! I just love the bread. For Americans, please don't expect this to be Jersey Mike's or another type of sandwich that is stuffed with meat. I recommended this place to a friend, and I think she & her husband had different expectations. Personally I love that the flavors meld together in perfect harmony, no one note louder than another.

Yelp
Visited Cosi on rue de Seine in Paris three times during our stay. We enjoyed their sandwiches and salads. Food was freshly prepared and service was prompt and friendly. Restaurant is small and it was always busy. They had a small eating area upstairs but we always got our food to go. The food at Cosi is really good and it is reasonably priced. Definitely a place to check out. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Recommended by local friends. English-speaking staff. Long, flat sandwiches what American and would call a panini. Eat wrapped in the paper like a burrito. Seating upstairs. Very local! M

Yelp
classic sandwiches, great service, good seating, quality, near a lot of other spots, heart of paris, near the send

Yelp
I am a huge fan of Cosi! Where else in Paris can you get a huge, fresh salad for about €10? I've been coming here for several years and they are SO consistent with freshness and interesting menu and very fair prices. After a long day, it's so easy to come in and have a great meal in a pleasant setting. It is fast casual so you order at the counter. Bread is fresh from their pizza oven and comes with the salad.

Yelp
This is a late review. I'm only sorry I didn't take a pic of my sandwich but at any rate it was delicious and was made very quickly. We came here based on a recommendation and we're glad we did. The bread is amazing and their prices are great! Would definitely come here again when we go back to Paris.

Yelp
An odd place to be on my bucket list for Paris? Yes! But totally something I still dream about to this day? Also YES! If you are in Paris this is a must try for an on the go lunch. It was so good we went two days in a row! Bread is made fresh on site and the flavour profiles are perfection. I don't think I tried a thing I didn't like! DON'T SKIP THIS PLACE! It's not your run of the kill sandwich shop! It is a must try!
google avatar

Yelp
The bread they bake fresh daily is absolutely amazing! Very reasonably priced and delicious. A+

Yelp
This place was amazing! It was perfect to grab sandwiches and walk back to have an evening picnic on the Seine. Get the chicken apple curry. It might have been the best thing I ate in Paris.

Yelp
This is the small, unassuming sandwich shop that inspired and launched a chain in the US. I now can see why. I think the execution in this original location is much better than what I've tried in Chicago, so I can see where things may have gone off the rails in the US. I had the Tandoori Turkey, with a slaw, which was really delicious, a little spicy with a very authentic (in my perception anyway) seasoning. The amazing bread is what brings it all together, served fresh from their oven, it was a real treat, and highly recommend it.

Yelp
High quality sandwiches!! Fresh focaccia, slightly crunchy... mmmmm! Exceeded my expectations. I ordered the Medwedd with goat cheese, olive tapenade, cucumbers, onions, and tomatoes. It was scrumptious. Cute setting with upstairs seating and friendly staff, too!
google avatar

Nick D.

Yelp
We stopped for lunch due to a TripAdvisor review and now I'm transferring the high rating over to my own rating home of Yelp. This is a perfect spot for lunch. The food comes quick and tastes good. The focaccia couldn't get better if it tried. Rest up upstairs while you eat. Enjoy the whimsical wall art too.

Yelp
Great sandwich place I really liked the sandwiches here. No outside seating All seating is upstairs No complaints no reason to not give 5 stars for what it is, a small sandwich cafe Great for Sunday's when a lot of places are closed

Yelp
What a terrific find! This sandwicherie is located about 10 minutes away from the Louvre: cross the Pont des Arts (...the one with all the padlocks) and make your way to rue de Seine, which is perpendicular to the river. The price is unbeatable: my sandwich was 5.50 Euro. The bread is fresh and delicious, and the ingredients are just as stellar. I realized after ordering that you can customize your own sandwich which is obvious enough to someone who isn't starving...but I took a sandwich with ricotta and walnuts and it was wonderful. I thought I'd take it to go and eat it in the park but couldn't make it out the door without taking a bite and then throwing myself on the nearest chair until it was all gone.

Yelp
We spent our time in Paris enjoying living like locals, or trying to. Cosi is a great comfortable place to get a delicious sandwich and soup and their apple cobbler. The bread was so fresh and made in their wood fired oven. We love this little place and will return on our next trip.

Yelp
Today the staff have been very rude to me at Cosi. After doing the line, I asked for a sandwichn because all the menus are in English (not easy when we talk about food to understand everything). So here was my mistake, she shown me a slate at the back on the restaurant, and told me to choose (she clarely have no time for me). I aked here to help me to choose a sandwich with meat inside because the slate was illegible. And here we open an other dimenssion door, she asked me to leave the place and she quit. Wow ! I tried my best to fix it, trying to tell her in english that we should have been going trough an misunderstanding issue because of the language barrier. Then the manager serves me, so rude with me because sure that I have been rude with her staff member. The manager refuse to fixe the problem and I had to leave with my 13€ sandwich which there is bearly nothing inside. So here we are... can you please at least put a French menu when your staff is not helpfull with french. I am very unconfortable after this, if you are used to treat only with tourists, you could at least respect French people. NB : Nothing italian here, if you go to the Google comments section you will be able to see many other comment about the staff rudness. Shame on them !

Yelp
Yes, there are other Cosi in the world but they don't compare to this one. The quality of the bread is better, the staff is great, the location in the Quartier Latin is convenient and it's open late(ish). For English speakers it will be a welcome break, and they have nice options for healthy food (try "The Everything But" Salad). Picky kids can get a Nutella Cosi while you eat something real. Seating upstairs and Opera background music.
google avatar

Yelp
I love cosi, their sandwiches and soups are delicious and so many vegetarian options!! A must visit for anyone visiting the Latin quarter! Also recommend their chocolate cake

Yelp
Really awesome sandwich place! Loads of locals here. Cashier speaks English, no worries! A sandwich here is roughly about 8 Euros. I went for the meal, 11 Euros, and it includes a dessert and a drink! Value for money. Didn't manage to get a picture of my sandwich, but I ordered the Cheesy English. Really good. Finished it before realizing that I wanted to take a picture. The apple crumble as recommended from the other reviews are really awesome too! A must try! Seats are pretty limited though.

Yelp
Great lunch spot - the legume soup and the sandwiches are delicious on homemade crusty bread sprinkled delicately with olive oil and tasty meats and cheeses. The sandwiches are roughly 7-9 euro and very filling. Upstairs there are many additional tables, making for a warm and cozy atmosphere with which to devour the delicious and healthy meal.

Yelp
A great option for sandwiches, with more than one vegetarian option available. The bread is very fresh and the sandwich with olive tapenade + goat cheese was pretty good.

Yelp
Wow. This place was perfect for me and my search for "simple, regular food". I don't say that like its an American place. Its not. I wish it was, cause I want to be able to go there when I'm back home. Its pretty Parisian, Modern kind of hip, but not pretentious at all. They bake their own bread, a Focaccia, but not like any I've had before. I normally avoid Focaccia, especially for sandwiches, cause they are usually to thick and bready. But these were fresh out of the oven, thin and cut in half. And unbelievably tasty. (I am totally in love with Parisian bread in general). There were a bunch of choices of predefined combos for sandwiches which we chose from. But there is also an option to "Make your own" from a list of ingredients. That list is kind of hidden on a wall to the right of the door when you come in, not at all obvious that its part of the menu options. They also have salads of different kinds and I presume you could "make your own" salad too. Well the bottom line is it was delicious. I had the Tom Dooly which had turkey (first turkey I've seen in Paris) and a bunch of other stuff. Sue had a Roast Beef, with caramelized onions (forgot the name that Cosi called it). I was still kind of hungry and craving some greens, so I went back and ordered a salad, which also was excellent. Sue had their carrot cake which I think is also home-made... All in all one of my favorite meals in Paris. It met my goals of simple, healthy and very tasty! Hard to find (at least for me) in Paris. One other thing: the Neighborhood was really cool. Its off of Saint Germaine, but on a more back street filled with really interesting Galleries. I suspect there are other very nice restaurants around there.
google avatar

Brittany T.

Yelp
Lots to choose from on the menu. Bread is delicious and fresh. Soup special was average.
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
Cosi is basically a "French Panera Bread". This was probably the least Parisian restaurant that we could have visited in Paris, but Cosi was walking distance from our hotel in St. Germaine, the prices were reasonable, and free wi-fi was provided. We were reassured that the food was good when we saw the line out the door. The menu on the wall is in English and French and the cashiers speak English so it was easy to order our meal. Once your food is made head upstairs to look for a table. My roastbeef sandwich was seved on Cosi's freshly baked signature flatbread. I really liked my sandwich, but my husband's broccoli soup was a bit odd tasting. Overall, I enjoyed my meal, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. This is a fine spot if you are in the need to fuel up quickly before sight-seeing, but there are so many more authentic French restaurants/bakeries/ and street carts to choose from.

Yelp
loved finding this little local spot. workers were kind and efficient. prices are incredibly fair for the amazing quality. everything was so fresh, including the fresh baked bread. perfect spot for meat eaters and vegetarians! would recommend any of the salads and the vegetarian sandwiches

Yelp
I love this place to grab a quick sandwich, either to eat in or take to the nearby Luxembourg Gardens. I've been here a few times, and always get the same sandwich: the medwedd, which comes with goats cheese, tomato, tapenade, and onions. The fillings are fresh, and the bread is amazing (you really just come here for the bread though tbh). For a sandwich, drink, and dessert it costs upwards from 10.50 or so (medwedd is 11 in the combo). The apple crumble is amazing, so worth getting the combo for sure.

Yelp
In my visit to Paris, we got to visit tha place by reviews on internet, the place is small but like the name is cosy, you order at the front and wait for ur food then go upstairs and sit anywhere u like, the sandwiches are pretty good!!! And their apple pie is really good too!! The size of the food is perfect!! I will say that is like 15 min walking from the Louvre museum and maybe 20min from d'Orsey museum, the location is very nice and is a lot more to see around there, I believe that the Luxembourg Gardens are another 10mim walking for there, I will go again to this place if I find my self in Paris again!!

Yelp
We found this spot after stumbling upon it on our first day in Paris and went there twice in 6 days. After oh, so many meals centering on bread on a 2 week trip to London and Paris, we found this sandwich shop with a selection of meal sized salads. And their own specialty bread :-) Their "Everything but the kitchen sink" Salade was what we focused on. If you get it with the "menu" option you get a drink and dessert all for 13.5 Euros. Hard to beat especially in the St-Germain-des-Pres area. The eating area is on the second floor and if you can get a window seat, its very interesting to people watch. People talk up the Apple Crumble (wish we had some vanilla ice cream at the time) but my wife and I found the Tiramisu to be the better option. And I have to admit, the Pain Cosi was completely addictive. Like a very light focaccia baked in their open oven and served warm. The staff all spoke serviceable if not excellent English. An added bonus if you are on an extended trip, it is 2-3 doors down from a small but serviceable coin laundry (Julice Laverie)-have dinner while your clothes are washing.

Yelp
Creative sandwiches with fresh oven baked bread. All options are delicious, but if I had to recommend some favourites, I'd say ines (speck, ricotta, walnuts, lemon juice), salmo (salmon, ricotta, walnuts, lemon juice), or lanky mania (curried turkey and apple). Service is friendly, and they have seating upstairs. Another recommendation - try their apple crumble combined with some icecream from Grom further down the street.. it is a match made in heaven. They switched from plastic bags to paper a while back, so they get a little green tick for that.
google avatar

Shari S.

Yelp
Cosi is a delightful spot in the St. Germain area if you're looking for a quick, healthy meal at very reasonable prices (~ 10 -12 euro per person). You order at the counter from a blackboard listing a wide array of salads, sandwiches and soups and the kitchen staff makes it right then. I particularly like Cosi's "Tom Dooley" sandwich (tandoori, cheddar, and tomatoes) but everything here is good, especially their fresh, hot bread that accompanies every order. There is seating upstairs and it can get pretty crowded at lunchtime. Love the free wifi!
google avatar

Melissa K.

Yelp
For all you Americans in Paris missing your made-to-order sandwich shops, this is your place. It's a Frenchified version of Panera essentially. Don't get me wrong, I love Panera. (I'll always choose Chipotle over Panera, but I digress...) The concept totally works. Fresh ingredients. Pick one of the suggested offerings or make your own. Have a quick and fun way to serve it up. Take it to your table and chow down. It's quick, it's cheap, and it's healthy. Honestly, there is very little to critique about this place. It's hard not to love. The only "issue" I have with it is how very American it is. I'd say that about half of the people in the place when I was there were American. When Americans come to Paris they need to get out of the box and eat French food! It pains me to hear American tourists telling me about how they went to McDonald's or to have pizza or a hamburger. I suppose that if you have to choose an American-ish place to eat, this is way better than McDonald's.

Yelp
This focacciaria serves great sandwiches made with freshly baked foccacia filled with wonderful ingredients. We enjoyed various sandwiches including the tandori turkey dressed with cucumbers, coriander, mint and crème fraiche, the roast beef with caramelized onions and cheddar cheese, and the goat cheese with cucumber, black olive tapenade, onions and tomatoes. Note: each time we visited the menu was slightly different. The atmosphere is unpretentious and relaxing, like your favorite coffee house. The prices are reasonable!
google avatar

Andrew L.

Yelp
This place is as good as it gets. Their bread is what's used in their sister restaurant across the street, Fish La Boissonnerie, which is amazing in its own right (well, the bread AND the restaurant I guess). They make great sandwiches and desserts, and their prices are wholly reasonable considering how friggin' expensive the rest of Saint German des Prés is.
google avatar

Hélène S.

Yelp
I love cosi! Very affordable prices (around 7 euros, menu for 10 i think), great service, and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. There is a large dining room upstairs with wifi in case you didn't know, so bring friends and enjoy or take it to go - always the right decision :) Also, it's like a million times better than panera bread and it's super duper quick. you'ill be in and out in less than 10 minutes I promise. They have salad options, deserts... I just wish they would open one in my neighborhood (Strasbourg Saint Denis!! are you guys reading this????)
google avatar

Yelp
I was visiting Paris and ended up coming here twice within 3 days to get some more of that Cheesy English! So good!
google avatar

Katie S.

Yelp
Love this spot. I studied abroad in Paris and grew up going to Cosi in NYC all the time, so it was fun to find this spot and some familiar food! The bread is fabulous and fresh (and sometimes just out of the oven), and they have options for everyone -- I'd especially recommend the curry turkey and apples. I'd often get a cup of soup, too. Lots of seating upstairs. They do a good business at lunch, and occasionally I'd have to wait a few minutes for a table to open up, but never too long. Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Alexandra G.

Yelp
I enjoyed a sandwich with roasted veggies and my friend had a tomato basil type one. Both were good and simple. Judging by other reviews and pics I was expecting a large, well-stuffed, panini style sandwich. It was a light eat (sort of skimped on the veggies inside) but nonetheless delicious and fresh! The bread is crisped and very yummy! There was a large upstairs to enjoy the sandwich and wifi!
google avatar

Kate R.

Yelp
It's the bread. I've been getting this wonderful sandwich, the medwed, for a few years. Goat cheese and Olive Tempenade on focaccia bread. it's addictive and while i'd like to move on to something else on the varied menu, it's too good. the staff is helpful, patient and you will be back. and the bread is just amazing. it's almost crunchy. definitely put it on your list when visiting rue de seine and rue buci on the left bank.
google avatar

Patty C.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant. Bread and salad is amazing! Love this place!!! I always order the signature salad. It is addictive. The bread is the best. Good pizza too. They have a s'more table top dessert, to share with friends. Just love everything atmosphere, food, etc.
google avatar

Jessica G.

Yelp
Had the Medwedd--had to come back after trying this place a few years ago. Of course the district of St. Germain was still just as charming as I remembered it. Bread is amazing, and this is fast, good, and plenty of seating upstairs. Excellent stop to have with a group of friends.
google avatar

Yelp
This is so good! The bread is delicious and the soup of the day is a must try. Even expresso shot is tasty.

Yelp
On my last two trips to Paris I enjoyed the casual atmosphere here enormously. This is a casual sandwich place that has excellent free Wi-Fi. I think there comes a time, when as much as you love Paris, you want to check out what is happening back home with free Wi-Fi, and the Wi-Fi signal here is great. They make some interesting sandwiches, and of course, as this is Paris, the bread they use is excellent. They play soothing opera arias and serve reasonably priced beer and wine, so this is a perfect place to relax and unwind from sight seeing-which can be tiring! Every time I have been there plenty of seating has been available, and there is even a busy restaurant kitchen across the street which is interesting to watch! I love the left bank area and this is a great spot to eat a good, satisfying meal that is quickly prepared and reasonably priced.
google avatar

Charlene B.

Yelp
This is my go-to place in the neighborhood when I don't feel like a long, formal dinner but just want a quick soup, sandwich or salad. They have different soups each day and most are delicious and wholesome. If you get there late the soup might be gone.
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
So we went to this place on a whim as we were leaving Paris and were totally blown away. The sandwiches were phenomenal and the bread was outstanding. Highly recommend the Albion. When we left we ordered two more sandwiches for the road so we could have this amazingness again!

Yelp
Oh I dream about these sandwiches. They are massive. They have ridiculous names. They are super fresh, made right there in front of you when you order. They are original, with fillings like tandoori chicken, smoked salmon, blue cheese They are made with thin focaccia-esque bread that is perfection - so much so that I have been known to buy it plain. It is fluffy and chewy at the same time, tender with olive oil, and topped off with a golden brown delicately crunchy crust. They bake it fresh in the shop, and each long loaf is warmed up in the little wood burning oven behind the counter before being sliced up for sandwich making. And if you time it right (i.e. if you are a huge addict like me who comes here far too often) you can arrive just in time for the piping hot bread. You can choose from the combinations on the menu or fashion your own unique creation from the dozens of ingredients available. FUN! Yes but I obviously tend to get carried away and it ends up getting expensive. They offer salads too but honestly I cannot keep myself away from the ample quantity of delicious flatbread the sandwiches provide. My old standard is the Stonker: fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and heaps of arugula with a generous drizzle of olive oil and freshly grated parmesan that gives it a delightful twang. Take your food to go or eat upstairs, serenaded by opera music - this place takes its name from Mozart's 'Cosi fan tutte'.
google avatar

Nilofer M.

Yelp
Get the lanky sandwich. Curried turkey and apple in a delicious bread! This is a great little spot (go upstairs to sit and eat) for a sandwich or salad. Not high cuisine but great quality for casual cuisine. This neighborhood (near rue de Buci) is one of my favorite spots in Paris. So grab a bite and then wander the old quaint neighborhood of the left bank.
google avatar

R B.

Yelp
Tasty sandwiches with interesting filling combinations and humorous names. Expect to find many English speakers here. Flatbread is made fresh for your sandwich and it's delicious. At around 10€ for the set menu it's great value (for Paris!). Quite a few veggie options too.
google avatar

Katy D.

Yelp
I give 5 stars to any restaurant in Paris that doesn't send me running back to the ATM for more euros. Kidding aside, this place was a steal (5-6€ per sammy) and the portions were fantastic. Tons of pre-designed options and you can kind of make your own. I got the flipper (tuna) and added some onions and other veggies. Get it to go or head upstairs where the perfectly natural lit room and windows make you feel like your eating outside on a terrace. Big tables, great for kids and free wifi. Well be heading back again before our trip is over!
