We loved staying in this hotel as it was so different. Our room was very dated but that was part of the whole experience. The room was spacious, warm and clean. It was as if we were travelling back into the 1970s. We had a bedroom and a separate lounge. We could also access the balcony. We stayed on the 14th floor so had a good view of some of the city. The staff spoke very good English and were very accommodating. We arrived at the hotel just before 6am and they gave us our room straight away, even though we had not paid for the Monday night. It did soon become very obvious that the hotel was quite empty. There was only ever 1 or 2 people having breakfast and I do not think that there was anyone else staying on our floor. Breakfast was quite poor, but we didn’t expect much choice. The hotel is centrally located and we tried 3 excellent restaurants all within a 5 minutes walk. We got a taxi to and from the airport which only took around 20 minutes. When we arrived we were told it would cost us 250 leu. However, we walked further along and got one for 100 leu. It cost us the same for our return journey.

This place once being the top soviet hotel is now old and shabby, and that's the reason I liked to stay there: For the truly soviet experience! Everything may look old but nothing is broken. AC works, beds were very comfortable, room was clean and the staff was extremely friendly. Though don't expect too much from the breakfast as it is very basic and served cold. Enjoyed my stay alot.

Great stay! Staff were absolutely lovely, and let me check in very early and even arranged a taxi to the airport the next morning (which is about 100 lei for anyone wondering), and they were very happy and polite with good English skills. All in all, a very nice hotel with very reasonable prices in a very good location.

Cosmos hotel is an experience by itself, a kind of time machine. Ok, don't go there if you want to impress a woman, Moldovan girls have a very bad opinion of this place (and security guard may ask you something if you try to enter with a girl who didn't check-in with you) But... There are something special, unforgettable there, this hotel has its own personality and there is a unique atmosphere. There you may have an opportunity to meet all kind of people in the lobby, the staff is nice and the rooms are not so bad. Unfortunately there is a new go-kart track just in front of the hotel and it may be really noisy. The location is 5 min walk from the train station (maybe 15-20 walk/ 10 min transport to the center), very close to malls and bars.

Rooms were okay for sleeping. Pick this hotel if you want to have a real Soviet experience. Also the reception were amazing! They called us a taxi for a local winery and even called again to get the tour earlier in order for us to be able to make our train!

I picked this hotel because of its proximity to the train station which was 5-7 minutes on foot. We bought a ticket to Odessa the day before travel and the train left at 7:05am the next day. The main sights of the city are walkable on foot, 15-20 minutes.||||Walking into the lobby, which was rather industrial, I was a bit worried about my choice but the room was fine and was 4 rooms, the shower in one, the toilet and bidet in another, a sitting room with a fridge and balcony in another and the bed in a separate room.||||The staff was very helpful, there’s an exchange desk in the lobby and a small bar area. There’s a grocery store nearby, the room had a fridge. We found a couple of restaurants nearby. Andy’s Pizza and La Placinta which is Moldovan.||||The only small problem we had was working the a/c, the sitting room had the balcony where you could get fresh air, the bedroom did not
