24/7 Robotic Coffee Bar Briggo Opens at the Austin-Bergstrom Airport - Eater Austin

"Briggo, the on-demand robotic coffee bar, opened its second public location within the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport this month. The all-hours kiosk debuted on Tuesday, July 17 across the way from gate 8. Since it’s automatic, Briggo will serve coffee without any human interaction. People can place their orders through the mobile app or through the on-screen ordering system at the kiosk. Every drink order is customizable, from hot/cold, milk options, to syrup flavors." - Nadia Chaudhury

Google
Ordering and pickup process was seamless with the 3-digit pin system, but the latte I ordered didn't quite match the expected taste. Considering the cost, the experience fell short. The concept of this coffee ordering setup is innovative, but improvements in taste are essential for a better customer experience.

Google
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS MACHINE! It took 20 minutes to make two basic lattes. I thought it was going to be at max 5 minutes. I couldn’t even pick them up because I already boarded the flight. The guy before me ordered and the machine threw the order out. The only positive is it didn’t ask for a tip 🤣

Google
Don’t waste your time or money. This machine has made undrinkable beverages for me two out of two times. Shame on me for giving it a second chance. And then there is nobody there to fix the problem so you are just out the money with no recourse.

Google
Coffee tasted awful, immediately threw away. And it was not any faster than if you were to go to a regular shop and order from a person. The process is not easy or quick. For a refund your choices are to write an old fashioned letter or call. I called to ask for a refund and they wanted to spend 15 minutes with you to painfully verbally collect information your information and even then no refund is possible, just "maybe" a gift card. Save yourself the hassle, go to a real shop.

Ordered a coffee. After waiting for about 6-7 minutes I had a look through the clear window- the machine was frozen without any indication that anything is wrong with it or a way to proceed next. Tried contacting support and that was broken too. There needs to be an easy follow up of “my coffee didn’t show up, cancel order”

Will wonders ever cease?! Between gates 8 & 9 at ABIA, there's a robotic Coffee Haus that has a whole-bean Latin American blend and uses fresh dairy, and gourmet flavors to let one order their favourite coffee, hot or iced. The beauty of Briggo is that one can order conveniently via a mobile app anywhere airside away from the masses and pick up their order in 1-2 minutes, I ordered my customized chocolate espresso whilst sitting across from my favourite ice cream venue and by the time I walked to the Briggo Coffee Haus, said "Hi!" to Briggo team member Tiana, picked up my order and flew away.

Yelp
Noooooo. Super watered down coffee that we watched tons of water pour into before receiving a spritz of espresso. I was so sad. You're better off ordering from an actual coffee shop at the airport.

Yelp
This is an automated service. The menu choices are impressive and include sweetener in addition to sugar, and even temperature of the water. I choose HOT. The downside is that my drink came out lukewarm. At a regular coffee shop , it would have went back for reheating. Here, there is no way to do that. It's convenient due to no line, but I wouldn't return as there is no way to return a bad product.

Yelp
Four stars only becuase this one keeps breaking down! There are a couple machines in the Austin Airport and usually at least one is working if the other is down. I like this robot machine becuase it doesn't usually have a huge line. The Austin airport used to have local only businesses, and we liked that. 15 years after starting here, they have become money hungry and theres multiple Star*ucks instead. I used to be happy to direct visitors to the Fara Cafe (now a wheelchair seating area. The owner of Fara is a great guy.) or Austin Java instead. Anyways, Costa Coffe is good. It is a novelty, kind of, to see a machine making your drink through a window, and having the robot arm whizz it back and forth, but I like it. I usually get a hot Mocha, but I was happy to find a Milk drink (no caffeine) for when I need a late night treat. The costs is similar to most other coffee shops. It remembers your settings when you swipe your card so you don't have to enter your name and pin that releases the drink from the automated door. I have tried the Caramel Machiatto and a regular coffee as well. The system lets you adjust all the items in the drink (sweetener, flavoring, milk type etc) as long as its stocked. Walking past the 20+ deep line at the other places while already holding my Mocha is just a bonus to me, as the coffee is just as good.

Yelp
Great coffee. Unfortunately all of the kiosks are closed today. All of them, like Costa leaving airport.

Yelp
Coffee was ok but waited 15 minutes for it. Going forward I'll just go to Medici NextDoor.

Yelp
Look, this is airport coffee, so temper your expectations. For what it is, it's not bad. Basically hot bean water, but you do get a wide range of fine controls to tweak and hopefully improve your brew, from temperature to strength, and of course sweeteners or milks as you desire. I just wanted basic caffeine, which it absolutely delivered. The main attract was that there was no line compared to the slow snaking rows of grumpy humans trying to make their 6am flights. You can even download the app for a completely touchless experience. Also, it was easily the least expensive option in the terminal, at $2.80 for a cup of coffee with no tip necessary. Easily better than anything you'd get on the plane, so just go for it. You would otherwise do much worse.

Yelp
Honestly, for a "do it yourself"/"robot does it for you" - coffee machine...it's really good! Wish it was a little warmer and if you like it sweet, I'd suggest adding extra sugar/syrup!

Yelp
Convenient. No line. Iced coffee available. Not too sweet. My experience was nothing but positive and to top it off my coffee was free by ordering from the app for the first time. I had every intention of paying as I wanted an ice coffee and limited choices in the airport so was pleasantly surprised with the price!

Yelp
Starbucks was out of almond milk but the Barista Bot came to the rescue! Service was fast, experience was easy, coffee was good. I'm sure a local place in town may offer a tastier brew, but this place is as good or better than Starbucks. Give them a shot!

Michael B.

Yelp
User experience was worse than a real person. Was slower than a real person. Didn't cost any less than any other coffee place. And to top it off, they were out of milk.
