Costa Coffee

I grabbed the wrong breakfast roll from the fridge and the guy who served me was really understanding and made me the roll I meant to pick up without any extra charge. And the lovely girl who made my coffee went out her way to find the last of the Terry’s Chocolate Orange segments for my drink after first thinking there were none left. Absolutely class service that’s made my day!

I went in for a coffee as I was doing last minute christmas card drops. I asked the staff if they had any gift cards which I got told we don't do them which I thought was pretty awful to say the least. And got told by one of the staff to try Tesco. So I wandered round but could not find any so a bit disappointed with this. But otherwise it was a lovely Costa shop to sit in and plenty of choice of drinks and food.

What's happened? Incredibly poor service, lights not working, toasties have supermarkets own savers ham and cheese was hard to find. Seems to have shrunk as well. Coffee advertised as coming with mini marshmallows but they were not. Charged for a large drink when ordered a medium. Had to clear table ourselves. Asked for ice which I later found melted on the counter in a glass. Won't be going back.

Obviously the man serving on 25/6/24 at 6pm still needs training on how to prepare drinks witch was only a red berries cooler witch includes red berries syrup and ice mixed in blender if I wasn't on emergency call as family member had been taking into hospital I would of taking back to complain as ended up in the bin ( detail in photo)

Lovely coffee shop staff are polite and helpful

Excellent service, new manager knows her stuff. Order is never wrong. First stop in the morning and always welcomed with a smile and conversation. Great knowledge when it comes to allergies & intolerance, gives me peace of mind with products.

Cosy, clean, and also very good noise level, which is appreciated by neurodivergent people! The food and drinks are delicious, and there's an amazing range to try. There are a ton of vegetarian and vegan options for food and drink, and a wonderful staff member helped to customise a drink to make it decaf and vegan! The staff are all lovely and helpful, and are so quick at making everything that it's almost surreal. We'll definitely be back!

Y'know, I hate reviewing some places because there's literally nothing to say, be it good or bad. This is a standard Costa in a small town high street. Am I in here a lot more than I should be? Hell yes. You know what you get with Costa thanks to their standards and quality control, and I can't fault it at all. However, it is just a chain store that looks like pretty much every other Costa you've ever been in, or ever will be in, so it does lack a bit of soul. It does have good coffee, decent snacks, plenty of seats and plug sockets and well... if you've been, you know. You get what you expect, and while it may not be sexy, it is comforting. And I'll be back on Monday for another one, because I can't quit you, Caffeine, you evil, sexy, mistress...
