I don't understand why would anyone give less than 5 stars to costco. This one is new and super clean. Everything was fully stocked. I wish they had the halal rotisserie chicken available but they didn't and that's fine. Employees were friendly and everyone answered my questions patiently. I had a little hiccup where they charged my double for one item and I had to drive 25 miles again to get it fixed but that's alright, things happen.

Honestly this is the least chaotic Costco and easiest to navigate of all the ones I've been to. It has good prices, is always clean and organized, and they can even help you find items at other Costco locations if they don't have what you need in stock. The workers are friendly and helpful and pretty easy to locate when needed.

$2.49 this morning, considerably cheaper than anywhere else in Ankeny. Passenger side pumps seem to be rare! Very little wait most times.

Bulk, bulk, bulk bulk I've been coming to Costco for years. Mostly for food and things like paper towels. They have a little of everything. Clothes, appliances, electronics, alcohol, bakery. This new Ankeny location is such a blessing. Having a closer location is nice. I have the main goal of food items when I go. I can usually get out of there for under $200 and have what I need for a month. I also enjoy the freebie food tasters they have throughout the store. If you're thirsty while you get lost in the warehouse, they have a consession. They have cheap food and drinks. You can get a thing of bottled water for $.25. Today, I got to hang out and eat here because, for the first time, I took advantage of Costco tires. Good deal and good tire program. The service throughout Costco had always been great. I like to make pleasant small talk at check out and see if I can make them smile. Not every Costco inventory is the same. There are a couple of things I used to see in the WDSM location that I never see in Ankeny, but the majority is there. I'll keep coming and I'll keep hitting up the cheaper gas that they also have.

I went to get food and I waited for 10m the guy was standing there and finally took our order and left halfway through at 4:30 and he asked if we had pick up and and we said no and then he asked if we payed cash we said yes and then he left

This is a newer Costco in Ankeny iowa. It needs an additional listing for Costco gas. I have used Costco gas in many places across the country in this particular place it was clean and well attended with staff available to help you no matter what type of situation you may need from forgetting your card to trouble at the pump. Costco has lots of things for the consumer to feel good about 1st of all the quality of their gas is excellent especially for the price point and I really need premium and it's anywhere from 10 to 20 cents a gallon less than is in the general market. It's a great value. The quality of their goods are also excellent in the store. Including lots of organic food in the crazy value of their $5 roasted chicken just like a miniature turkey. But most important they pay a livable wage for their average employees including health care and benefits and I always want to support a large port a large retail Box store that does this type of thing. Generally they have excellent covid 19 practices.

I had called ahead to order a pizza at 6:00pm and they told me it would be about 25 minutes so I show up at 6:30 and she says that they are behind and it will be a little bit of a wait so I say no problem that's fine I get it. I go look around for a bit and come back up at 6:45 the pizza is still not done. I waited a total of an hour for a pizza that I called ahead for and they gave me a time to get it, that's ridiculous when you have family waiting.
