I had a very disappointing experience at this Costco. While shopping, I accidentally hit my toenail, which cracked and caused me a lot of pain. I was still looking for an item I needed, so when I got to the register, I let the cashier know what happened and asked for assistance to grab the item since I was in pain.
The cashier called her supervisor, Victoria, who said, “How come they didn’t grab it while they were on the floor?” — which felt unnecessary because I would have grabbed it if I had seen it earlier. I just needed a little help.
They told me to sit down, and I waited over 30 minutes. When I got up to ask again, the cashier shouted for help and finally got a young employee to grab the item. However, he continued doing other tasks first and did not prioritize my request. After waiting another 15 minutes, I went to the return desk to speak to a supervisor. He did not seem interested in resolving the issue. After explaining my situation, I finally said, “Forget about it, you guys are too busy,” and he just said, “Okay, thank you.”
I left frustrated, still in pain, and without the item I came for. I expected at least some empathy or urgency given the situation, but I felt completely dismissed.
