Food Court Experience 1. The hotdog and soda combo is always cheap and good! 2. The spot has fast casual vibes since people are always coming and going! 3. The staff were friendly and timely with my order! It took less than 3 mins! Note: You use the self-order kiosks first, and then you bring your receipt to the kiosk order line for pickup! I recently had the chance to visit the Costco Wholesale in Huntington Beach, CA, and I must tell you, my experience was unexpectedly pleasant. You know, typically shopping at Costco can be a bit of a hustle, with the packed parking and the post-work crowd, but surprisingly, despite the initial struggle with parking, the rest of my experience was rather positive. Once inside the store, which by the way, is located in the bustling Bella Terra, I found it to be well-stocked and organized. The particular item that brought me there – an SSD Drive – was available, even though my usual store was out of stock. And this, my friends, is why I love Costco. They always seem to have what you need. Now, let's talk about the checkout. Despite the very large crowd, I was pleasantly surprised at the efficiency of the process. It was quick, it was easy, and before I knew it, I was out the door. This was a testament to the well-trained and professional staff who handled the constant stream of shoppers like pros. I must mention though, the long walk back to the car at the front of the mall. It was a bit of a workout but hey, who's complaining about a few extra steps? In addition, if you ever need to fill up your tank while shopping, the Costco Gasoline in Huntington Beach is worth a visit. There is always a long line here, but moves quickly and huge savings. In conclusion, my visit to the Costco Wholesale in Huntington Beach was a great experience, and I would recommend it to anyone in need of a good deal on a variety of products. Despite the heavy crowds and the slightly far-off parking, the well-stocked store and the swift checkout process more than made up for it. Happy shopping, everyone!

So I have to say I generally enjoy shopping at Costco, but for the first time I genuinely had a negative experience with my entire family present. I don’t know forsure what the employees name was (maybe Sharon) but she is a senior employee that is know for checking receipts at the exit. She is known for going slow throughout the community so most of the time people go on the left side. At this time I didn’t care so I let her do the check. We stood there for 10 minutes which is a really long time with my wife, two year old and 5 month old after spending $500 (which we do twice a month every month) and after being detained like we robbed the place, it turns out we didn’t pay for a $5 watermelon… like whaaaaaaaattttt. I should have left it on the ground honestly. All that, kids crying… people walking by watching us like we got detained by police on the side of the road. Just ridiculous… a bit too far.

The AT&T representatives in Costco are very deceiving and cost us $3200 for new phones. We were told that they would pay us back $800 per phone to buy out of our contract, but as it turns out they send you gift cards which are not cash that we had to out out up front, they did not tell us this nor did they mention that our first two bills will tally up to $800. They lied the whole time making us think we would be saving money but instead they took our money, got us locked into a contract, took our old phones. The $2400 cash that we spent up front to buy out of our contract is not guaranteed, takes 10 weeks to be sent and is a gift card that will not replace the cash we put out, first bill $510. Had we known all this we would have stuck with our old phones and old contract, we did not have $3200 to give away. This one hurts big time. Shame on Costco for letting these thieves hang out by the entrance and rob customers blind. Stay clear unless you enjoy losing large lumps of cash before you start shopping. Biggest scam, this is not going to end here

Google
I love Costco, but unfortunately, I will no longer be shopping at this location due to an experience of racial profiling. While at self-checkout, an employee (a woman) asked to inspect my gym bag, citing “store policy.” Prior to that, her first comment to me was, “Are they sampling that?”—referring to a protein can I had purchased two weeks ago. She followed it up with, “Ohh, interesting.” I left feeling frustrated and singled out, especially because I didn’t see other shoppers with bags being checked. Disappointing and unacceptable. So much for supporting DEI policies.

They carry some of my favorite items, organic whole food based multi vitamins, organic dried fruits, coconut water, and rotisserie chicken, and gas usually quite a bit cheaper than other stations in the area. Definitely worth the membership

Google
Costco Huntington Beach Tire Center Supervisor Patric was terrific. Patric went above and beyond in advising me about tire purchase. The brand, size, difference between tires, and after installation advise. I was told two hours and installation was completed within that time frame. Patric was knowledgeable, Polite, friendly and very helpful. Costco, you need to reward and recognize such terrific team members!

Yelp
Food Court Experience 1. The hotdog combo is always cheap and comforting! The hotdog is also huge! 2. The spot has fast casual vibes! The food court is outside! 3. There are a lot of outdoor tables! They are also spaced apart! 4. The staff were friendly and timely with my order! 5. Parking lot is huge, but it can get crowded depending on time and day! Spots are double-lined and not compact! Yelp
TL;DR Steve from self checkout is an a-hole. I don't recommend you come here to deal with him if you are a parent. Probably won't be coming back unless I happen to be in Bella Terra. And I will definitely be avoiding self checkout if he is working. Long story: I like to think I have a high tolerance because I work in healthcare. Steve has told me that he is worse than anyone I've ever experienced. So I guess congratulations to my patients? Steve either has no kids, was an absent parent, or is just a straight up jerk. At Costco Fountain Valley, I have been told that because I am carrying a baby, I can use the gun at self check out to help me. After scanning a bunch of small items by sliding them on the actual scanner, I grabbed the gun. Steve comes up to me to tell me that I can't use the scanner yet because I have such small items. I then ask him about the meat, because each package of meat weighs around 10 pounds or more and I have four, which is what I was trying to scan. He just told me to save those for later. After seeing that I was visibly upset for a few minutes, he decides to come over and start scanning everything for me without asking me then claims that it's "because I have a baby." No $h!t Sherlock. Did you not notice that earlier while you were talking to me? Soooo why wasn't i allowed to use the scanner myself again? After experiencing the customer service at Costco FV and the Costco here, I would definitely rather deal with the difficulty in finding parking there than deal with Steve here. Looking back, I should've just left and gone to Costco fountain Valley. If they are such light products, he could've put them back by himself, right?

Yelp
First time inside this location. Similar to the food court, if you're been in one, you've been in all of them. :P It was busy for sure, but the layout seemed better than some of their other/older locations so that was nice. We were in and out pretty quickly.

Yelp
I like the parking lot at this costco. Came in after 4 on a Sunday and it wasn't too bad getting inside. The food court area in the front was busy. My husband and I went in to get a speaker. We also stopped by the bakery area to get some cookies and muffins. We came across avocados on sale so we took some of those. They were out of bananas. Then we walked by the gift card section and saw they had a pretty good selection of options to buy. Check out area was busy. Nice visit to costco.

Yelp
This was a pretty absurd experience. Let me preface this with the fact that my husband had a membership card, and I don't have one. I needed to come to get my glasses, which I had previously purchased from the optometry, adjusted. I thought I could run in, and get them to tighten a screw. Well, as I was greeted at the front, the woman looked at my card and confronted me with the fact that I was not a member, my husband was, I was honest and explained the reason for my visit. She declined to let me in, which is absolutely not my issue. My issue was with how rude she was to me. She said, "are you a member?", I said no, and she says, "this is why we have this policy, for people like you." And proceeded to make a scene by laughing loudly, shaming me as I left. It's no problem if that's their policy, I didn't try to argue, I had explained why I was there. But the behavior from someone as a greeter in customer service was incredibly offensive. I will not be returning to this store, nor will I become a member. She could have easily explained the policy kindly, and suggested the ease of getting a membership that day so I could use their optometry services. For reference, she was a short lady, grayish hair, looked like a body builder, and very loud. Maybe in her 60's. I did not catch her name, but she was working at noon on August 6th, Wednesday. It was a horrendous experience.

Yelp
Likes: + I like the outdoor food court, including the drinks machines. + Conveniently located by the 405. Non-likes: - At the Costco food court, only 2 of the 3 ice dispensers were working. - Crowded parking lot, as with all Costcos. Also congested traffic surrounding the lot.
google avatar

Cyn L.

Yelp
We shop at this Costco location whenever we're in the Huntington Beach area. The store's parking lot can get busy during the weekend, so weekday shopping is recommended. When we last visited, there was a scanner at the entrance with employees checking your membership's photo to be sure it's you. If there's no photo, then a secondary identification was requested. Once we were in, we had no problems in the store. Employees were courteous and the store had some different items than our local Costco. Note that this Costco has a lower sales tax rate of 7.75%, compared to higher LA County rates.

Yelp
This is the worst place. I am a handicap person waiting at the gas station and the nerve of the employees working there sucks . The rule is if you are handicap and need to get gas filled you are supposed to honk and turn on your flashers. But these employees kept ignoring my honking even after seeing my car. Few weeks back two employees at gas station saw my car and did not even come to help. They went into their office. Today I went again and honked the lady comes up and says you need to wave your arms.... I have been costco members for very long time and I never had these type of issues. As per their rules you are only supposed to honk to notify them. Thrn the lady comes up to my car and starts arguing with me. COSTCO YOU BETTER TRAIN YOUR STAFF MEMBERS ON CUSTOMER SERVICE AT GAS STATION OR ELSE ILL CALL CORPORATE.

Yelp
Parking here is insane, but that's true at every CostCo. Lucily we only needed a couple things so we were in and out in less than an hour, using the self check out. They have this really good granola here - Pumpkin Flax Granola. We can't find it other places and it is so light and crispy. Perfect for putting over berries and yogurt to make a parfait.

Yelp
Automated phone service rang and rang. Then waited on hold took forever. Honestly between two different Costco's was on phone for about an hour. No progress. Waiting for a call back. What's happening to Costco?

Yelp
The Asian pharmacist wasn't friendly, I had to ask her a question and she acted like I bother her so much and she roller eyes at me.

Yelp
Costco, Huntington Beach was thee first time I've ever truly felt comfortable at a Costco. Could it be that they were about to close in a 1hr 30... who knows but this was not my normal experience. Usually I dread going inside, map things out before going in so I can get in and out but at this location it was a breeze for me! I quickly found the few items I needed (pastries and plates) and went straight for the self-checkout. What really impressed me was the very friendly staff at checkout and upon leaving... so close to closing too! Time in: 7pm Time out: 7:14pm I loved this for me so much!!! Truly a world record!!! Ha!!

Yelp
-Terrible customer service. -Employees don't care about their job, company or customers. -Mgrs unable to accept their mistake. Very unfortunate, since Restaurant Depot is open for the public, also Sams Club and Smart & Final offer similar products at a very competitive price with way better customer service.

Yelp
Costco is my jam. If you don't know you better recognize. No fr though. Always keeping my pantry stocked with Costco goods. Pro tip. Don't come hungry because it's a dangerous place to find yourself in hungry.

Yelp
support them wholeheartedly because they support real Americans!!! They believe in DEI and all their employees are so upbeat, helpful and happy. Always a joy to shop there.

Yelp
I want to give a big thank you to Liliana! I came in hoping to buy new glasses for my son because his were cracked, but I wasn't able to since we needed a new prescription. Liliana went out of her way to fix his glasses on the spot. She was so kind, helpful, and understanding. I really appreciated her taking the time to help us, even though she didn't have to. Thank you, Liliana--you truly made our day!

Yelp
I can't believe anyone giving this Costco a lower rating. the employees are helpful, prices are superb, quality is unsurpassed and their gas is the best price around. I just spent 10 minutes at CVS in line with just one person ahead of me. Even in busy times that never happens at Costco.

Christy G.

Yelp
I'm sure by now everybody knows Costco has just raised for the lowest card (this card) $5.00 This comes at a very, very, very bad time for anybody that has a Costco card. The only reason why these people did this is to make sure that their shareholders get a return profit. I will not buy from here to forth with not one single solitary thing from Costco with the exception of Gas. And I truly believe that there will be more people to follow.

Yelp
I finally decided it's safe for me to be at a Costco. So I got an Executive membership in October. So glad that I did. I remember all the times I went with Grandpa Tom to the Costco in La Jabra before COVID and before he went into assisting living. I've lived in HB with my bf for awhile. So this Costco is very close by and is very convenient for toiletries, vitamins, fruits & veggies and special items. So many items to choose from and try. I love all the different options. Below are my pics of my recent purchase.

Yelp
My most favorite Costco... EVER!! It's located in the backside of Bella Terra across the street from Old World. The store is always well organized (even though they like to change item placement around the store ) and stocked. They have plenty of parking and is also close to the Bella Terra parking structure. The staff is always friendly at the service desk and helpful at the self checkout area. The self checkout area moves very quickly and it's great when you grab a few thing are in a hurry.

Yelp
This Costco is in a great location with the cheapest gas I've found in SoCal. I make it a point to stop here every time I am visiting from San Diego. They have items that are unavailable in other locations. My favorite is Magic Spoon which is healthy protein cereal. I bought a dozen boxes to bring back to San Diego. They're near half off compared to other stores.

Yelp
Costco will always be the cheapest meal you can get out there $1.50 hotdog and drink is un heard. Service is good the the quality is there. I wish parking was easier

M A.

Yelp
The people who work here especially a gentleman named Jeremy have 0 customer service. I asked if I can get a cart inside the building among the 50 carts lined up inside and he said no. I would have to go outside and get a cart so that he does not have to replace 1 cart inside. Terrible worker- union mentality- only there to collect a paycheck and not serve the customers! This is such a terrible mindset. Costco- you are not that special- we will go to Sam's club from now on!

Yelp
This review is for their Chicken Caesar Salad which I ordered for lunch today from their deli. The lettuce was not fresh; must be a day old or even older. It tasted soggy, and some pieces had brown, slimy bits on them. It was not edible. I'm disappointed since they have always provided good quality food as far as I can remember. I hope this review will motivate them to make improvements.

Yelp
Me and my girl are always shopping here. Since I have moved to Fountain Valley, its the closest location near me like it or not lol. We stopped here last weekend for some Pizza and Hot dogs. We had a good lunch here. We also went inside and did some shopping to burn off the food, and had no room or food sampling lol. Yeah, there may be some rude employees, but I have never encountered any. I really like shopping at this location. I really do not like the one located in Westminster. That is where I have had bad experiences. Anyhow, always a pleasure to shop here.

Yelp
Costco on Edinger is a great place to shop! Although it is a busy place the parking lot and employees are sizable and efficient enough to accommodate all your needs! Some of my personal favorite things about Costco is their food court, full of quality, and affordable food. Although I wasn't a fan of the kiosks at first they have grown on me and I see how it's made the food court more efficient. One negative that I believe they should remove is how the kiosks always ask if you want to add the special item to your order, definitely confuses and irritates customers and is not helping sales. Another area that I have enjoyed is Costco's clothing section as they have a huge range of seasonal options that are quality, sheek, and affordable! Lastly you can't forget the food samples which we all love! Costco is definitely a great place to shop and I believe Edinger is my personal favorite to go to!

Yelp
I'm reviewing on the thin slice ribeyes steaks. I am a regular customer because I cater for my customers on holidays. The last couple of times, ribeyes steaks look like New York steaks. There are no eyes and look like pork chops. Please make sure you sell quality steaks. My business is at risk. They paid so much money for me to make good steaks for them and I'm relying on your quality cut for the ribeyes steaks. At the top are the ribeyes but underneath, the steaks have no cap at all. It looks like New York steaks was stuffed in between. Where is the eyes of the ribeyes?

Zachary T.

Yelp
...well I'm really disappointed I didn't see any peanut m&m's. BUT, am very grateful it wasn't a madhouse in there. I was dumbfounded by the variety in product assortment. VM work was not the best, I don't love when pallets are dropped on the floor it's just lazy in my opinion. I liked how friendly the associate handing us the samples was, her smile was comforting. Overall 7/10.

Quynhchi T.

Yelp
This Costco is my favorite. They have a really good selection of things. It's always pretty clean and tidy. The employees here are always so friendly, helpful, and understanding from the gas attendants all the way to the pharmacy techs floor managers, and general manager. If possible I always try to go to this costco. The only reason I would go to another Costco is foe the car wash.

Yelp
Shakey's vs Costco. Costco for the win. Shakey more like shake BROKE because they suck! If you like shakey's you're a loser..a LA LOSER! L for love-DIMWIT ITS LOSER! Anyways, Costco pizza is really nice and the dough is not too thick and has the perfect ratio of everything. Their desert is good too. Also their food isn't too greasy like Ronald McDonald's hair-that's right. So don't be a loser and go to Costco for your pizza! Don't be the guy that doesn't have party's because his pizza sucks and it's from Shakey's! Have a hood day-oops! I meant good, or did I .... sigma

Yelp
Yes, we have made this Costco store ours. Say the word, and I automatically drive to this store where I regularly fill my car with gasoline. Today was a run to the store to get a very specific product that was a Vegan Chocolate wrapped box ready to gift. We searched all the aisles for this special Belgian made treat. We could not find it. We asked two very eager to help Costco managers, and they checked the description and fotograph and even a stock number listed. Unfortunately, it was not available at this store, and the information we had looked like it would be a regional Costco offer. We struck out and thanked the managers for trying. All is not lost. We did find all the freebie samples and snacks. We continued to shop for other items, and then I decided to do self checkout. That was easy as long as you use a Visa CC.

Yelp
Called in to order a whole pizza. No problem, person on the costco team was rude. Ok. No problem. Went and paid for it. Waited at window. Got to window and was told to wait at a different window. No problem, I will do it. Waiting for 30 mins. There is a problem. Please have better service or a manager on site to watch for employee to do their jobs. Not asking for much. Just common practice.

Yelp
I come here every Monday morning to get gas for the week. It's never busy when I get there and the guy that's there is super friendly. I see him always saying good morning to everyone getting gas. I also come here to lunch sometimes since I only work down the street. It's not busy when I get my lunch. They are quick to give you your order and there's always a place to sit no matter what time my lunch break is.

Yelp
My faith has been restored. After attempt #2, Joe, and the tire department helped identify and fix the error message tied to my TPMS system. Pro tip, always try to book and appointment, otherwise walk-up can take several hours, or might not even happen the same day. Generally speaking, I've been very happy with the Costco tire department, especially Joe, he does a nice job interfacing with customers.

Yelp
Did you notice how all the shopping carts at Costco are the 'jumbo' ones, no mini-ones allowed...almost daring people to spend less than $200 if you grab a cart. And on weeknights and weekends, more often than not, it's varying degrees of demolition derby inside. We maintained our membership for a couple years after we moved to California, but stopped as the hassle made the shopping experience more aggravating than pleasant. Well...we renewed our membership after a 3 year absence, two months ago...and...as long as you avoid the peak hours, it can (almost) be an enjoyable experience. We DID get a large cart this time, and sure enough, we ended up spending $200. This Costco location seems to have a lot more Asian type food than the others, and we took advantage: Tonkatsu ramen noodle bowls, Activa pro-biotic yogurt (24-pack so extra incentive to finish it before it expires), and finally got a window sun shade. The larger-than-life rotisserie chicken is still $4.99 (how do they make money on that), and we even picked up a 'street taco kit' for $14.99 that made a delicious and filling dinner for two. Costco is wholesale warehouse retailer, so there is always going to be new, 'can't find it anywhere else in this quantity/prize' items scattered. And items will be scattered throughout the store, more for the convenience of the distributor than the actual consumer I think. But it continues to be the best at intersecting cost vs value, and worth it, if you can put up with all the quirks of warehouse shopping.

Yelp
Need New GM, Management, Never get good customer service or attitude from any employee at this location. Food Court Hot Dogs are advertised as having diced onions, but both onion containers are empty at 11am on a slow Monday. HORRIBLE Unprofessional attitude by every employee at this location for a few years now. Unexcusable.

Yelp
Writing about a worker at the Huntington Beach, CA location on 11/14/24 at 10am working toward the left registers. Incredibly rude, aggressive to my mom. My mom didn't realize the worker wasn't completed with the person in front of her since the worker grabbed the cart. Mom requested for two transactions, the register worker (middle aged lady) began yelling at my mom telling her, "I'M NOT READY FOR YOU. I'M STILL WITH THE CUSTOMER IN FRONT OF YOU!!!"

Yelp
What's there not to like about Costco? I always come in for 3-4 things and end up leaving with 10 items. Tried Sam's club membership but even going in there for 1 thing I left with 1 thing, thinking there really isn't anything there I want. Costco, my allegiance is to you. Always and forever

Yelp
The Costco pizza was not sliced correctly by the woman working there. She was pretty off putting. She looked at my receipt and threw it back at me. Pizza was also doughy. I hope management can talk to all their employees about maintaining respect and courtesy.

Yelp
On 10/27/24 as we were heading toward the exit at 12:32pm an older woman counting our items, wearing a SF 49ers shirt was rude. I didn't catch her name since it was partially covered by her vest, but her badge indicated she had worked at Costco since 2005. Our cashier had forgotten to ring up the bread, when the older woman noticed, she abruptly demanded a supervisor without offering any explanation or apology for the mistake. She made us feel like criminals. After 15 minute wait, a manager arrived to apologize for the oversight. However, the same old lady who counted our items continued to be rude saying "well, sorry we didn't ring up for the bread" in a snarky tone. The team needs better training on how to handle situations when items aren't scanned. Instead of addressing the mistake constructively, we were met with hostility.

Yelp
Don't buy your appliances here! You are not valued nor do they give a crap about the quality of your purchase.I bought my first fridge ever and decided to put my trust into Costco. As an executive member as card holder I was assured I would receive the best benefits from them however that was not the case.I went in to purchase my fridge and had to find someone to help the guy didn't ever acknowledge me but nodded grabbed a flatbed tossed it on and left me there to drag it to the front.I had no assistance with warranty or any other related information so I went to the register to pay .I then asked them cashier if there was any warranty or assistance on this fridge as it is new and my first large purchase for an appliance. He was stunned I hadn't received help.He called over some man not sure who he was seemed like some kind of lead or supervisor maybe .The guy then said only warranty they have is through Costco for 2 years and I again lugged it out by myself to the front.Later once we moved into our new home my father unwrapped the fridge only to find out there is damage to the front door and top of the fridge .This was a brand new fridge that was wrapped up mind you so I was essentially sold damaged merchandise at full price and offered no help to top it off .I could have just went somewhere else paid a little more for actual service and a new fridge as advertised that was my mistake!I contact Costco and speak to a few different senior managers one named Serena who offered me a $50 gift card on a $646.00 fridge and said I can take that or bring it back .I couldn't bring it back I have no truck or money to rent one nor do I have a fridge to put out food in so it doesn't spoil. Not to mention they don't have anymore in stock at that location.I then asked to speak to the store manager ,mind you at this point I had asked to speak to the store manager 3 times but kept getting different senior managers .I was then routed to Alyssa who said she is the assistant manager which again isn't the store manager .She then offered me $120 off the fridge and said that's all she could do unless I wanted to rent a truck and return it again .I explained I am a single mom ,I have no truck ,fridge or money to do this .That's all I was offered and was told that's the best they can do .I will be cancelling my Costco executive membership as well as my credit card due to the horrible customer service I received.I will take my money where it is appreciated because it is clearly not at Costco. They are only kind and helpful to you to have you get there membership and credit card once you do that they could care less. Also when I signed up for the credit card the girl had me input my house hold income told me to include anyone who lived with me and only my portion of the rent which never sounded right .I think they do this to get you approved for more to bring in more money for them which is disgusting to put people in that type of situation that clearly don't have the annual income for it .

Yelp
I love Costco and this location. The Asian woman with the buzzed undercut and tattoo behind her ear at the checkout register scolded me for placing my tv upright in the shopping cart. The barcode was on the bottom and she wasn't able to reach it. "Next time you can't do this! You have to use a flatbed." I told her I was unaware the barcode was being blocked and that I could lift the box for her if needed. I also told her there probably won't be a next time. I'm not buying tvs on the weekly, and I'll use any cart I wish. She managed to scan the barcode without the box being lifted. All that complaining and huffing and puffing for nothing. Relax, mam. Then as I walked away she was crying to her co worker, "It's not my job to pick those up, blah blah blah"

Yelp
I frequent this location, especially with high ticket items (lower tax rate in OC). I also like that their gas lines are not as long as some of the other Costco locations. Parking is ample and the lines move very quickly at check out.

Yelp
Everytime I come thru to the membership services I feel like I'm having a brain aneurysm, no one ever wants to provide membership services to members and that's a shame, they would rather just pretend to be busy and talk with their co workers. Michael who's been with Costco since 2015 was as helpful as a limp lettuce I'm so sorry to everyone who had to work with him.

Yelp
On 9-30-24 I used self check out and asked for assistance because I had some bigger items in my cart. Previously a Costco employee told me not to add heavy items to the scale because it could damage the scale. So I asked Jeremy (bald guy) if he could help because he has a scanner in his hand. Jeremy just looked at me, didnt say a word and point to another Costco emploee that wasn't even paying any attention to self check out. Jeremy just stood there looking around and walked aways.. he was no help even after asking for help. Horrible service. The self check put is unorganized. A couple months ago, a Costco employee managing the line let his colleague cut the line to make a purchase while other customers had to wait. Costco should do better.
