Another comprehensive Costco Wholesale store. What makes it little better is its adjacency to Bella Terra shopping center 🏬 and the covered parking garage. It’s free of charge as almost any parking 🅿️ garage in Orange County.

I thought Costcos Tire Center would be really convenient as I was in a hurry to get my tire patched and just happened to be there for something else. I made an appointment for the next day which I was grateful for, but upon going in they told me that they had canceled my appointment without letting me know. The guy at the counter was going to turn me away and he was extremely rude about it too. I asked the guy who had scheduled the appointment for me the day before if he remembered me and he did. Then they said they had cancelations so they could suddenly fit me in. The first guy at the counter was extremely short and rude with me. He complained about how far I parked my car even though I was told I could park it anywhere in the lot because the lot is always busy and insane. My parking spot wasn't even that far it was right outside the entrance. Upon calling me he just told me "your car is ready" and hung up. When he gave me my keys I said "thank you" and he said nothing. Terrible customer service and that guy should be written up or fired. Didn't catch his name but my receipt says "Dien T". Unsure if that's the guy who was rude. You guys need to train your staff on how to give better customer service and be polite/more organized because this type of behavior is inexcusable, especially for somewhere I pay a membership fee for.

This costco is more special than the others. Parking is more reliable than others and it's literally impossible to run out since they have a whole parking garage! The inside is extremely clean and the service is great. People ready to help, especially trying to find the hawwian bread that was right in front of me. Checkout Is also better here, there is more registers and active staff ready for the Prescans. The foodcourt here is the same as the others but is still good! This costco is much better than the other locations!

Toby, Judith, Potchanee & Robin are all superstars at this location. They are all very personable & warm everytime I visit this store. Overall, the store is very organized, clean & easy to navigate. I’ve been shopping here for about 7 years. I witnessed a customer be rude to Toby today at the exit while she was doing a careful job reviewing shopping carts. It is outrageous that people are rude to her for doing her job. I admire how Toby never succumbs to people’s rudeness & continues to do her job with a smile. I also observed Toby find shoppers at the exit who accidentally forgot to scan an item on numerous occasions. In fact, immediately after someone was rude to her today for “taking too long” to highlight a receipt, she identified a customer who had forgotten to scan their Tropicana orange juice. Therefore, she is clearly doing her job well as it entails loss prevention.

Food Court Experience 1. The hotdog and soda combo is always cheap and good! 2. The spot has fast casual vibes since people are always coming and going! 3. The staff were friendly and timely with my order! It took less than 3 mins! Note: You use the self-order kiosks first, and then you bring your receipt to the kiosk order line for pickup! Tonight 12/13/2025 at 18:14 I used the self check out for my shopping, I was scanning my items and placing them on the tray area , the system informed me one item wasn’t scanned so I called the associate and he came to me while running and push the bottoms and again literally ran again to the store area while I was still talking to him , I scanned all my 15 items and when I was going out the lady who was assigned to check the receipts at the exit told me Two items were not scanned , she stood up in front of my shopping card blocking me As IF SHE HAD SUCCEEDED TO ARREST A THIEF , people were passing by and looking at me like I was a criminal , it took a while till the supervisor came and the lady inspector still standing and blocking my card so I don’t scape !! I was so embarrassed and blushing, the supervisor behavior was slightly better than the lady although he could have been more polite .I felt so much humiliated without being guilty. Obviously that lady and the supervisor need more training , they should not look at the customer like a Thief just because accidentally one or two items not scanned as a result of human error or the defect of their own system , customers are not professional cashiers . Yelp
Never go to Costco hungry - big mistake and very expensive! We only came for milk, eggs, tortillas, mayo, spaghetti, oatmeal. Hm.... total is $250.64. How did this happen? $19.99 Chocolate Poundcake, $19.99 Variety Desert Bars, $18.99 Green Chile Tamales, $15.99 Chicken Strips and SO MUCH MORE! The staff seemed in good spirits even though its pretty crazy for them this time of year. I'll be back to get some of the super cute holiday gift baskets for my staff!

Yelp
!!!!ATTENTION UPPER MANAGMENT!!! This is a direct complaint about BIANCA the floor manager or a similar title. My Fiancé and I were shopping and heard BIANCA yell across two isles at two female employees folding sweaters. The exact quote was clap clap "LADIES!!LESS TALKING MORE FOLDING!!!!" The humiliation on the employees faces was absolutely heart breaking and a disgusting site to behold. Management has no right to dehumanize any employee. I myself was so infuriated to hear two women being treated like they were in an illegal sweat shop. I really hope something is done about this. There was other customers that expressed how disgusted they were and apologized to the two women. Please take action to correct this. There is no room for treatment like this in our country. The store itself and everyone else were so pleasant.

Yelp
Great member prices on a huge variety of items. I load up on household staples like paper towels, toilet paper, water bottles, cleaning supplies, and other items that we go through regularly. Fill up the cart and check out. Make sure to fill your gasoline tank up while you are there and hit up the food court for a cheap meal or snack.

Lily F.

Yelp
Always packed. I love their hotdog and pizza. One of my favorite Costco. I just moved to the area.

Yelp
Food Court Experience 1. The hotdog combo is always cheap and comforting! The hotdog is also huge! 2. The spot has fast casual vibes! The food court is outside! 3. There are a lot of outdoor tables! They are also spaced apart! 4. The staff were friendly and timely with my order! 5. Parking lot is huge, but it can get crowded depending on time and day! Spots are double-lined and not compact! Yelp
We were promised a second pair of glasses at $50 when we returned to pick up our first pair of glasses. However we were told when we came to pick up our first pair that this has to be done the first time around and we were charged $200+ for the second pair instead of the $50 as promised. Note to self, always select the second pair the first time around.

Yelp
I came to the bakery department needing cupcakes with blue icing. I was in a pinch and the bakery manager and David helped me out. I waited about 10/15 minutes and they delivered my beautiful cupcakes. They both were so kind and acted like this wasn't a problem. I definitely will be shopping here for bakery goods more often. Thank you both so much Dawn

Yelp
I've been coming to this Costco for many years, and I realized today that while I've never really had a complaint, I also haven't taken the time to leave a positive review, and today felt like the right day to do that. Joe, one of the checkers, has been here for years and is consistently wonderful. Every time I go through his line, he's genuinely friendly, smiling, and happy to help, even when the store is incredibly busy. You can tell he shows up with a good attitude, and it really makes a difference, especially compared to how stressful checkout can feel sometimes. Today, Ronda was helping Joe, and she was just as kind and pleasant. It was busy, and yet she was patient, warm, and made the interaction feel easy. It's really nice to see teamwork like that during peak hours. Another favorite of mine is Toby. She wasn't working today, but I always appreciate seeing her familiar face, she's thorough, professional, and consistently great. I also want to give a shout-out to Breanna, who works with returns. She was incredibly helpful and kind and honestly made our day by letting us know we could return our Apple AirPods. The process was smooth, and her attitude was so appreciated. When Costco is packed and I'm sure employees are dealing with a lot, including frustrated or complaining customers, it's really stands out when people are still smiling and kind. Not enough people take the time to say thank you, so this is mine.

Yelp
First time inside this location. Similar to the food court, if you're been in one, you've been in all of them. :P It was busy for sure, but the layout seemed better than some of their other/older locations so that was nice. We were in and out pretty quickly.

Yelp
TL;DR Steve from self checkout is an a-hole. I don't recommend you come here to deal with him if you are a parent. Probably won't be coming back unless I happen to be in Bella Terra. And I will definitely be avoiding self checkout if he is working. Long story: I like to think I have a high tolerance because I work in healthcare. Steve has told me that he is worse than anyone I've ever experienced. So I guess congratulations to my patients? Steve either has no kids, was an absent parent, or is just a straight up jerk. At Costco Fountain Valley, I have been told that because I am carrying a baby, I can use the gun at self check out to help me. After scanning a bunch of small items by sliding them on the actual scanner, I grabbed the gun. Steve comes up to me to tell me that I can't use the scanner yet because I have such small items. I then ask him about the meat, because each package of meat weighs around 10 pounds or more and I have four, which is what I was trying to scan. He just told me to save those for later. After seeing that I was visibly upset for a few minutes, he decides to come over and start scanning everything for me without asking me then claims that it's "because I have a baby." No $h!t Sherlock. Did you not notice that earlier while you were talking to me? Soooo why wasn't i allowed to use the scanner myself again? After experiencing the customer service at Costco FV and the Costco here, I would definitely rather deal with the difficulty in finding parking there than deal with Steve here. Looking back, I should've just left and gone to Costco fountain Valley. If they are such light products, he could've put them back by himself, right?

Yelp
This Costco can get insanely packed on weekends. During these peak times, the parking lot can get crazy with passive aggressive -- or openly angry -- drivers searching for parking spaces. If you absolutely must visit this location, my advice is that you get a feel for this Costco's peak times, and only visit during off hours. You have to accept that shoppers here are generally clueless or don't have any etiquette whatsoever. Shoppers leave their carts out in the middle of busy walkways... They sometimes come in groups and take up entire walkways... If you want people who have basic etiquette and manners, it doesn't exist at this Costco or any others. Doesn't matter what race, ethnicity, income, education, etc... When it's packed at this Costco people don't give damn. When you've paid and are ready to exit, watch to see if an older female employee named Toby is checking receipts.... She's slow and not nice at all. When you try to be friendly with her or say "thank you," she's totally unresponsive and doesn't care. She doesn't acknowledge you or return any pleasantries. If I didn't live in the area, I'd definitely be at another Costco.

Yelp
Likes: + I like the outdoor food court, including the drinks machines. + Conveniently located by the 405. Non-likes: - At the Costco food court, only 2 of the 3 ice dispensers were working. - Crowded parking lot, as with all Costcos. Also congested traffic surrounding the lot.

Yelp
We shop at this Costco location whenever we're in the Huntington Beach area. The store's parking lot can get busy during the weekend, so weekday shopping is recommended. When we last visited, there was a scanner at the entrance with employees checking your membership's photo to be sure it's you. If there's no photo, then a secondary identification was requested. Once we were in, we had no problems in the store. Employees were courteous and the store had some different items than our local Costco. Note that this Costco has a lower sales tax rate of 7.75%, compared to higher LA County rates.

Yelp
I like the parking lot at this costco. Came in after 4 on a Sunday and it wasn't too bad getting inside. The food court area in the front was busy. My husband and I went in to get a speaker. We also stopped by the bakery area to get some cookies and muffins. We came across avocados on sale so we took some of those. They were out of bananas. Then we walked by the gift card section and saw they had a pretty good selection of options to buy. Check out area was busy. Nice visit to costco.

Yelp
Worst Costco visit ever, new to Huntington Beach and the crowds and parking at this zoo make me not want ever to be a member again! Nothing makes the visit more exciting than driving around for half an hour looking to park, every visit is the same, I miss my Natomas Costco lol

Tim W.

Yelp
I visited the Costco on Center St, Huntington Beach on October 15, 2025. My membership was valid and didn't expire until October 27, 2025, yet the male cashier told me I had to pay my renewal immediately or he wouldn't let me complete my purchase. When I calmly asked him to explain why, he refused to answer and instead told another employee to put all my items back after I had spent nearly an hour shopping. His attitude was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. He even mocked my accent in front of others, which was humiliating and completely unacceptable. What really infuriated me was watching him instantly turn on the charm for the well dressed woman behind me, after treating me like I didn't matter. That kind of fake friendliness and bias is insulting and downright shameful. No customer especially an elderly one should be treated this way. Costco needs to hold staff accountable for how they speak to and treat their members. I left feeling disrespected and unwelcome, and I expect better from a company that I been doing business with for at least 40.

Yelp
After many great Costco years, I am very unhappy with dishwasher purchase! Installers delivered & said they wouldn't install. Claimed pipes corroded, electrical outlet needed to be moved...on & on. When I called Costco, I was told "3rd party installers" very particular. I had to pay additional to have my plumber go out & install. No problems at all. So I pd hundreds more to install & haul away!!! Hone Depot, on the other hand, installed a dishwasher at another property with no attempt to gouge the price!! I won't order appliances from Costco again.

Yelp
Costco, Huntington Beach was thee first time I've ever truly felt comfortable at a Costco. Could it be that they were about to close in a 1hr 30... who knows but this was not my normal experience. Usually I dread going inside, map things out before going in so I can get in and out but at this location it was a breeze for me! I quickly found the few items I needed (pastries and plates) and went straight for the self-checkout. What really impressed me was the very friendly staff at checkout and upon leaving... so close to closing too! Time in: 7pm Time out: 7:14pm I loved this for me so much!!! Truly a world record!!! Ha!!
google avatar

Ray C.

Yelp
-Terrible customer service. -Employees don't care about their job, company or customers. -Mgrs unable to accept their mistake. Very unfortunate, since Restaurant Depot is open for the public, also Sams Club and Smart & Final offer similar products at a very competitive price with way better customer service.

Yelp
Genuinely not sure what is going on with this warehouse's morale or training 'culture' but it is consistently the most disrespectful and rude warehouse out of all OC locations. From the red vests all the way down to the blue vests (I think they're part-time seniors?) Everyone's default is just 'mean', no matter how nice and respectful you approach them.

Yelp

Yelp
Costco is my jam. If you don't know you better recognize. No fr though. Always keeping my pantry stocked with Costco goods. Pro tip. Don't come hungry because it's a dangerous place to find yourself in hungry.

Yelp
My most favorite Costco... EVER!! It's located in the backside of Bella Terra across the street from Old World. The store is always well organized (even though they like to change item placement around the store ) and stocked. They have plenty of parking and is also close to the Bella Terra parking structure. The staff is always friendly at the service desk and helpful at the self checkout area. The self checkout area moves very quickly and it's great when you grab a few thing are in a hurry.

Yelp
I was at Huntington Beach Costco and had a terrible experience with an employee named NGA. I was on a wheelchair and had to navigate with difficulty to try a new gyoza sampler. She was unkind, unprofessional and shouted at me as I was too slow. This is unacceptable! and And this employee NGA needs to learn some basic code of conduct!

Kathleen G.

Yelp
they refused service to me and my registered emotional support cat. they wouldn't even let us in the store. I feel so discriminated against, I was so shocked I couldn't believe it.

Yelp
This was a pretty absurd experience. Let me preface this with the fact that my husband had a membership card, and I don't have one. I needed to come to get my glasses, which I had previously purchased from the optometry, adjusted. I thought I could run in, and get them to tighten a screw. Well, as I was greeted at the front, the woman looked at my card and confronted me with the fact that I was not a member, my husband was, I was honest and explained the reason for my visit. She declined to let me in, which is absolutely not my issue. My issue was with how rude she was to me. She said, "are you a member?", I said no, and she says, "this is why we have this policy, for people like you." And proceeded to make a scene by laughing loudly, shaming me as I left. It's no problem if that's their policy, I didn't try to argue, I had explained why I was there. But the behavior from someone as a greeter in customer service was incredibly offensive. I will not be returning to this store, nor will I become a member. She could have easily explained the policy kindly, and suggested the ease of getting a membership that day so I could use their optometry services. For reference, she was a short lady, grayish hair, looked like a body builder, and very loud. Maybe in her 60's. I did not catch her name, but she was working at noon on August 6th, Wednesday. It was a horrendous experience.

Yelp
I finally decided it's safe for me to be at a Costco. So I got an Executive membership in October. So glad that I did. I remember all the times I went with Grandpa Tom to the Costco in La Jabra before COVID and before he went into assisting living. I've lived in HB with my bf for awhile. So this Costco is very close by and is very convenient for toiletries, vitamins, fruits & veggies and special items. So many items to choose from and try. I love all the different options. Below are my pics of my recent purchase.

Yelp
Food Court cleanliness is really slipping. During Covid there was a Costco employee responsible for keeping the area clean and stocked full time. Now most of the tables are dirty and supplies are out.

Yelp
This Costco is in a great location with the cheapest gas I've found in SoCal. I make it a point to stop here every time I am visiting from San Diego. They have items that are unavailable in other locations. My favorite is Magic Spoon which is healthy protein cereal. I bought a dozen boxes to bring back to San Diego. They're near half off compared to other stores.

Yelp
Costco will always be the cheapest meal you can get out there $1.50 hotdog and drink is un heard. Service is good the the quality is there. I wish parking was easier

Yelp
I want to give a big thank you to Liliana! I came in hoping to buy new glasses for my son because his were cracked, but I wasn't able to since we needed a new prescription. Liliana went out of her way to fix his glasses on the spot. She was so kind, helpful, and understanding. I really appreciated her taking the time to help us, even though she didn't have to. Thank you, Liliana--you truly made our day!

Yelp
support them wholeheartedly because they support real Americans!!! They believe in DEI and all their employees are so upbeat, helpful and happy. Always a joy to shop there.

Yelp
I can't believe anyone giving this Costco a lower rating. the employees are helpful, prices are superb, quality is unsurpassed and their gas is the best price around. I just spent 10 minutes at CVS in line with just one person ahead of me. Even in busy times that never happens at Costco.

Christy G.

Yelp
I'm sure by now everybody knows Costco has just raised for the lowest card (this card) $5.00 This comes at a very, very, very bad time for anybody that has a Costco card. The only reason why these people did this is to make sure that their shareholders get a return profit. I will not buy from here to forth with not one single solitary thing from Costco with the exception of Gas. And I truly believe that there will be more people to follow.

Yelp
Me and my girl are always shopping here. Since I have moved to Fountain Valley, its the closest location near me like it or not lol. We stopped here last weekend for some Pizza and Hot dogs. We had a good lunch here. We also went inside and did some shopping to burn off the food, and had no room or food sampling lol. Yeah, there may be some rude employees, but I have never encountered any. I really like shopping at this location. I really do not like the one located in Westminster. That is where I have had bad experiences. Anyhow, always a pleasure to shop here.
google avatar

Chris G.

Yelp
My faith has been restored. After attempt #2, Joe, and the tire department helped identify and fix the error message tied to my TPMS system. Pro tip, always try to book and appointment, otherwise walk-up can take several hours, or might not even happen the same day. Generally speaking, I've been very happy with the Costco tire department, especially Joe, he does a nice job interfacing with customers.

Yelp
Did you notice how all the shopping carts at Costco are the 'jumbo' ones, no mini-ones allowed...almost daring people to spend less than $200 if you grab a cart. And on weeknights and weekends, more often than not, it's varying degrees of demolition derby inside. We maintained our membership for a couple years after we moved to California, but stopped as the hassle made the shopping experience more aggravating than pleasant. Well...we renewed our membership after a 3 year absence, two months ago...and...as long as you avoid the peak hours, it can (almost) be an enjoyable experience. We DID get a large cart this time, and sure enough, we ended up spending $200. This Costco location seems to have a lot more Asian type food than the others, and we took advantage: Tonkatsu ramen noodle bowls, Activa pro-biotic yogurt (24-pack so extra incentive to finish it before it expires), and finally got a window sun shade. The larger-than-life rotisserie chicken is still $4.99 (how do they make money on that), and we even picked up a 'street taco kit' for $14.99 that made a delicious and filling dinner for two. Costco is wholesale warehouse retailer, so there is always going to be new, 'can't find it anywhere else in this quantity/prize' items scattered. And items will be scattered throughout the store, more for the convenience of the distributor than the actual consumer I think. But it continues to be the best at intersecting cost vs value, and worth it, if you can put up with all the quirks of warehouse shopping.

Alyssa N.

Yelp
Automated phone service rang and rang. Then waited on hold took forever. Honestly between two different Costco's was on phone for about an hour. No progress. Waiting for a call back. What's happening to Costco?

Yelp
Yes, we have made this Costco store ours. Say the word, and I automatically drive to this store where I regularly fill my car with gasoline. Today was a run to the store to get a very specific product that was a Vegan Chocolate wrapped box ready to gift. We searched all the aisles for this special Belgian made treat. We could not find it. We asked two very eager to help Costco managers, and they checked the description and fotograph and even a stock number listed. Unfortunately, it was not available at this store, and the information we had looked like it would be a regional Costco offer. We struck out and thanked the managers for trying. All is not lost. We did find all the freebie samples and snacks. We continued to shop for other items, and then I decided to do self checkout. That was easy as long as you use a Visa CC.

Palak S.

Yelp
This is the worst place. I am a handicap person waiting at the gas station and the nerve of the employees working there sucks . The rule is if you are handicap and need to get gas filled you are supposed to honk and turn on your flashers. But these employees kept ignoring my honking even after seeing my car. Few weeks back two employees at gas station saw my car and did not even come to help. They went into their office. Today I went again and honked the lady comes up and says you need to wave your arms.... I have been costco members for very long time and I never had these type of issues. As per their rules you are only supposed to honk to notify them. Thrn the lady comes up to my car and starts arguing with me. COSTCO YOU BETTER TRAIN YOUR STAFF MEMBERS ON CUSTOMER SERVICE AT GAS STATION OR ELSE ILL CALL CORPORATE.

Yelp
Shakey's vs Costco. Costco for the win. Shakey more like shake BROKE because they suck! If you like shakey's you're a loser..a LA LOSER! L for love-DIMWIT ITS LOSER! Anyways, Costco pizza is really nice and the dough is not too thick and has the perfect ratio of everything. Their desert is good too. Also their food isn't too greasy like Ronald McDonald's hair-that's right. So don't be a loser and go to Costco for your pizza! Don't be the guy that doesn't have party's because his pizza sucks and it's from Shakey's! Have a hood day-oops! I meant good, or did I .... sigma

Yelp
This is a review based on my girlfriend's experience today which seemed to be racial profiling by an employee by the name of Toby who checks the receipt at the exit. My girlfriend called me after this experience transpired and she was hysterical. Toby was eyeing her before she even reached the door and went through every item in the cart manhandling our groceries eggs etc. She found an item that was scanned incorrectly by the cashier named Bobby S. Who originally was having issues finding the sku# for some jammies for our daughter which he eventually got what was the correct price, but apparently Ms. Officer Toby caught and made an issue out of it. This is a costco mistake and should not be something the consumer should be harassed for. Toby called for another employee by the name of Jennifer L who goes by J Lo who then proceeds to contact a supervisor via radio who informs her to honor the price. Ms Jlo decides to take it upon herself to go ahead and ring my girlfriend up with a smirk on her face even though my girlfriend heard what management had said. I'm not one to argue over a few dollars, but this situation was prolonged resulting in my daughter not be picked up from school on time. I manage a multimillion dollar collision center for a major corporation, so I know a bit about customer service. I called and spoke to a manager not too long ago. I believe his name was Robert and I informed him I would like to file a grievance. He told me there's not much he can do other than speak to the employees. He informed me he would get back to me and if he does and the employees are held accountable then I will change this review. I will be leaving additional reviews across different platforms as well and i will be contacting the corporate office. The embarrassment these people put my girlfriend through by holding up the exit and making this a big ordeal based on their own employees mistakes is intolerable.

Yelp
Called in to order a whole pizza. No problem, person on the costco team was rude. Ok. No problem. Went and paid for it. Waited at window. Got to window and was told to wait at a different window. No problem, I will do it. Waiting for 30 mins. There is a problem. Please have better service or a manager on site to watch for employee to do their jobs. Not asking for much. Just common practice.

Yelp
I come here every Monday morning to get gas for the week. It's never busy when I get there and the guy that's there is super friendly. I see him always saying good morning to everyone getting gas. I also come here to lunch sometimes since I only work down the street. It's not busy when I get my lunch. They are quick to give you your order and there's always a place to sit no matter what time my lunch break is.
