Google
Great as always. We just purchased hearing aids for my dad and the price and quality can't be beat!! Customer service was amazing as well.

Andrew G.

Google
Lots of great stuff here. The entire staff is so friendly and helpful. Jennifer and Dr Soliman did great with my wife's eye exam. Alexis at the counter is the best!

Costco was a great place to visit in shopping. There's a lot of things in there, but it is crowded. You have some days you have to get when it is and is crowded. But there's a lot of things in there, and I just joined it. I used to be a member of the Sam's Club years ago when they had Sam's Club. Costco is busy this thing. I think is to get there early in the morning before everybody gets there during the weekday.

SIN S.

Google
The 4 stars is for cashier Stephanie today at approximately 2pm. She had the most delightful customer service. Smiling and sweet despite it being so busy. Now the line to get out today is another story. It was wretched watching how long it took Sam to review 1 cart and receipt. The guy next to him assisted 4 people to exit and Sam was still reviewing the same cart. Maybe Sam shouldn't be checking people at the door during a peak hour.

Linda M.

Google
The people who work at this Costco are always friendly and helpful. Every single time they are kind even when you can tell the day has been insane for them. This costco is super crowded from open to close most days it seems but always stocked and clean.

Breana C.

Google
The two cashiers, Luis and Blanca, were giving me and my family attitude and problems for nothing. I was trying to return something that didn’t end up fitting on my car and the cashier, Luis, kept giving us attitude and contradicting us like he didn’t want to let us return it. Me and my family were trying to pay at the self checkout and Blanca came up to us giving us attitude for simply paying our stuff. We just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. I know others have been complaining about them too

Jbp Scion X.

Google
I have had a bad experience dealing with the tire service center. I dealt with a short bald man that was very rude. I am writing to inform you to stay away from this place they are rude and they have horrible customer service skills.

Hume C.

Google
One suggestion is that you staff the membership desk with more than one. He ignored me and kept working on a problem with another customer that took her sweet time, and the employee could have rung me up on another register in one minute, and then return to the other. After 10 minutes of nothing, I left.

Yelp
The pizza and hotdogs here are still a great price. I come by regularly to grab a quick bite to eat when I'm in the area!

Yelp
We make it a point to only gas at Costco through any long trip we have through the states. We got gas and needed to use the restrooms. Did not realize the time was 9:55. I scanned my badge and the greeter told me I was Gold and needed to wait until 10. I told him I need yo use the restroom and we just got gas and passing through. He then said you will need to be escorted. Luckily I was able to use the restroom.

Yelp
Costco is the best place for gasoline and for your every day needs, including a hotdog and drink for $1.50 OMG
google avatar

Yelp
Store manager Richie is a man full of lies. He does not fulfill his promises to customers. Check your receipt, because they are stealing your money if you are not careful. The store rating speaks for itself.

Yelp
Mess. Huge ass mess. Lines are insane here. Is everyone living on credit cards? I was really surprised at how many people are at this store on a daily basis.

Jen O.

Yelp
They changed the way you pick up pizzas; they have you form a single line and even if someone just placed the order two minutes prior, but they get ahead of you in line they'll give them your pizza. I just experienced this. I placed the order before I went in to buy five items, came out hadn't realized they changed the policy of not calling out numbers. There was a line about seven people, and I noticed one guy came picked up a pizza and she grabbed the slip at the very end of the line like he just placed the order. Because I got a half-and-half and she gave that guy my pizza I ended up waiting another 45 minutes and finally just asked her to give me a pepperoni because it was ridiculous. This isn't the first time they've given my pizza to someone else. $10 pizza isn't worth it if you value your time and you wait there an hour. Even if you make 20 bucks an hour that just cost you $30 when you consider your time. This is the absolute worst Costco I have ever been. Horribly mismanaged Costco.

R C.

Yelp
Why is it every time I visit this costco in visalia, I always feel unwelcome? I can't seem find help when I needed it. And when everytime I do see an employee it seems as though they just don't want to be bothered turns away. I'm seriuosly considering cancelling membership since it's really not worth shopping at costco. There is Winco Foods in Visalia.

Steve B.

Yelp
The Costco in Visalia for the most part is always busy. The Costco employees are always there to assist you and help you if needed no matter how busy they are. The employees that give out the food samples at Costco in Visalia, are so polite and knowledgeable about their products. I really enjoy the samples and talking to them when they are not too busy.

Roberta S.

Yelp
Busy Vision Center, take a number, 7 ahead of me, time went by quickly as one gentleman customer kept spirits up and Miss Stephanie who called my number was more than delightful! Most cheerful and helped me like she knew me. Glasses fixed quickly and expertly at no cost......but truly the best part the was Miss Stephanie's sweet personality! Thank you!
google avatar

Andrew S.

Yelp
They have a wonderful selection of flowers, variety of large bulk items, but I recommend getting there early in the morning on a midday to avoid the crowds. The parking lot is always overcrowded and it is very difficult, dangerous and very hard to get around there!

Yelp
I truly do want to love this Costco location, but it simply does not compare to the quality and quantity of the Fresno ones. I know, I'm a jerk but I went recently and walked out bummed out that they don't carry things I would normally purchase for my kids and myself. This one is a bit smaller too which I see why they are limited on what they supply. Team members were friendly and helpful, but that is consistent at mostly all locations. I will say that this Costco was a bit messier than most. I spotted a broom in the apples and a pie where the sweatshirts were. I laughed because I saw a meme about this the other day, unfortunately it was more annoying in real life. I'll shop here only when I need to.

Yelp
The have mostly everything you need at a decent price some of the stuff you can get elsewhere for a little cheaper depending on what you want but as far as feeding the family goes for 10 or $15 Chinese pizza chicken wings the frozen food section is spectacular the dairy section they have just about everything juices, coffee clothing around the house do it yourself? Security cameras sometimes every now and again you can find a great deal. You can get something for $20-$50 that they sell online for $150 or more.. I try and stay away from because I always double up on the stuff I already have

Yelp
Good review, pizza cold, bathroom full ,it's packed , food is meh , but overall good quality and good food

Yelp
If I can put 0 stores I would for my horrible experience at optical center this year. I have always gone to Costco optical but their most recent contracted provider is the absolute worst. Has an inflated ego, extremely cocky, and plain out RUDE. He becomes argumentative during eye exam. Do better Costco.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is no longer customer service oriented - Zach who is in charge of membership and refund lack the ability to Supervise and Manage this area. Total chaos. What happened Costco? Is this the new norm for your company. I can't wait to start moving my business to Amazon and Sams Club at least they treat there customers with respect and dignity.
google avatar

Yelp
All I can say is this Costco is very popular. It's very clean and staff and always working, it's a busy store. You can't beat their gas prices. Parking is always clean and you can always find the parking.
google avatar

Yelp
Worst Costco I've ever been too! Super long lines, the employees are rude, customer service sucks, and the pharmacy technicians and pharmacists are a joke. They are clearly not well trained or educated, and need a lesson in manners. If you can go somewhere else, I highly recommend it. 2

Yelp
Costco, if you are unaware, is a place where you pay a yearly membership fee (around 60$) to shop at wholesale prices. This store sells items in bulk - so it's the perfect place to go to "stock up" on items. However it's the wrong place to go if you just need a single loaf of bread, or a bag of chips or something. This Costco is the only one in the area so it is pretty much packed all of the time. I've never seen Costco empty. The lines are a little chaotic, but they have a lot of employees who are efficient at their jobs and move people through very quickly. The store is always clean and organized which is surprising considering the amount of people that pass through the doors everyday. Costco also sells other necessities, such as gasoline for your car, at a generally cheaper price - which you have access to if you are a member. There is also a tire center, a pharmacy, and a small food court. I find the membership not really worth it for a small household who doesn't need a lot in the way of bulk items.

Liza C.

Yelp
Rudest coustmer services! First time I was checking out they were to busy talking. I wanted a full pizza but they forgot to charge me. 2nd time I went to the check out they were to busy talking. I was ignored twice and gave me attitude because they said I never told them I had 2 transactions. I did tell you but you were to busy talking. And the cashier had the nerve to laugh at me and say jokes about me.

Yelp
The lady at the front refused to allow my papered service dog in the store. She was contained to a enclosed bag and I tried show her the ESA papers, she refused to look. I will NEVER come to this Costco again. I will drive the 20 miles to Hanford and be treated with respect. The lady was working during the 11am-12pm time frame at the door. She should not be allowed to work with people.

Yelp
Today while checking out at Costco the cashier sarcastically remarked to me that "There are plenty of carts outside, folks." He was commenting on the fact that I was sharing a cart with my mother and son. The cart was certainly not stacked with items. As a matter of fact we had emptied all the items on the conveyer before the staff member began checking the first order. The empty cart was there for his helper to stack. Initially I thought he was making playful conversation with me although in reality he was scolding me. "It makes it a little more difficult for us, " he explained. I immediately apologized. Yes, I guess I can see that if the cart wasn't emptied and ready for the first order it would be troublesome, although as I stated before it was there, ready for stacking items. I was there shopping with my 90 year old mother. She is legally blind and frail, so she "pushes" the cart while I actually maneuver it from the front (which is not easy with crowded aisles). My son helps me to find her items and we both pick up a few items for ourselves. If I had to utilize another cart to make it "easier" for the cashier it would be impossible. The trips are slow going and frustrating. I worked in customer service for decades and although the process could have been streamlined by instructing clients on how they could make their orders more efficient- I would never have done so. They were the reason the business was successful and not personally responsible for "making it easier for me". It was my job to make it easier for them. I would have told you this in person but that would have embarrassed my Mom. Perhaps in the future when you see elders who are struggling you could simply smile and hide your frustration.

Yelp
I have an appointment scheduled for tires. I'm on-time, waiting behind a walk-in getting tires. The walk-in gets told it will be an hour: me an hour and 15 minutes. I'm told they'll put my tire receipt inside the car when it's done. The salesman Mike tracks me down in the store an tells me they found a lug nut that's worn. I ask how much, he says $1.88. I get a call when my tires are put on and to go to check out. They charge me for 20 new lug nuts! It's going to cost me an additional $40 now. I'm kind of stuck at this point. I ask about the new lug nuts, because they are not OEM, so what size are they? I'm given a socket size in SAE. My car is a Toyota and metric. Now I'm wondering if they've screwed-up the threads on my lugs. Mike leaves and sends in another moron. This one tells me that my old lug-nuts were worn and won't stand 80-foot pounds of torque. I reply that 80 ft. pounds exceeds the manufacturers specification. He leaves and now comes in the service manager. He says I can have my old lug nuts back, change them at home, then return the new ones. He brings me back my old lugs in a bag and I count them. I'm short one. He goes back and finds another one immediately. Are these the ones I came in with or did they come out of a scrap bucket? Some do look shot-out now that I'm looking at them. When I go home, I check to make sure my threads weren't stripped with improperly sized lug nuts. They seem good. These so-called "tire professionals" have lost all credibility with me; I don't trust the old lug nuts as the ones that came off my vehicle so decide to keep the new ones. I take a look at my receipt now, someone forgot to record the odometer reading onto my receipt. It's an hour drive each way and I don't feel like driving back and forth again. How is this going to affect my warranty I wonder? Welcome to Costco...

Yelp
So, I guess the new procedure at Costco is checking ID before you pay to make sure you're not using someone's else's card. I call bullshit. I watched the attendant check 6 Mexican family's and no white families. Coincidence, doubt it. I was gonna confront him but I was already heated.

Yelp
I ordered for pick up for a pizza at 6:30 ish they told me it would be ready at 6:55, I got here at 7:22 because I'd figure it would give them more time to get ready Incase they're understaffed. I got here and paid through kiosk at 7:30, the workers kept calling other orders like 10 total. I didn't get my pepperoni pizza until 7:50. In that case I should've ordered from another pizza place. What was the point of me calling in the order and still wait that long for a pizza. If you call in your order expect to wait longer than 30 mins.

Yelp
I was told my Mothers service dog was not allowed in the store. The service dog is contained in a dog stroller with the animal completely in closed zipped up. My Mother is 79 years old!! My Aunt was also with me and she was in need of an electric cart due to her medical conditions. I looked everywhere for the cart and was refused help in locating 1 of the 6 they have available. It's going to be very hard for me to renew my membership when customer service is so poor. I know I don't want my Mother shopping there without me!

Angel L.

Yelp
The store manager needs to put some attention on the store employees. Some of them pull their merchandise supply carts like wild horses. Without any caution if they hurt any customers. I have seen this a lot of times... What's going on Mr. Manager wake up and put some attention on safety to your employees and respect the customers...
google avatar

Yelp
My disabled mom was waiting in the car. There were not any specialized motor chairs available. So she sends me in to the store with her card. I made my purchase and told the cashier (a tall Latino man whose name I can't remember) about my moms situation and inability to get into the store. He said he can let it go this time and accept my payment using her membership card. I thanked him. Then he asks if I want to make a donation to whatever the charity is. This is where it got weird and awkward. I said "No thank you" He makes this gesture with eyes to my moms card and says something like "Come on, I let you have a break using your moms card. You can't help the children" I said again "No I can't afford this today" Then he took a breath like exasperated and rolled his eyes. I felt like I was having to barter which was so uncomfortable and rude. By the way, I have had a child in children's hospital. I know the need well. I give in other ways and Costco employees should not try making their customers feel like shit for not donating. More motorized carts for the disabled like my mom would be appreciated. Two stars because I do like the organic products they offer.
google avatar

Greg M.

Yelp
Not sure what the low ratings are about here. We've had nothing but great experiences here. Maybe it's small business push back which I understand.
google avatar

Mike And Bianca T.

Yelp
Always over crowded. No one keeps 6ft apart no hand sanitizer available. And to order pizza they don't answer there phones to do a call in order.

Skylen G.

Yelp
My mom has been a costco member for over 30 years. Today was the breaking point for me. We came to our costco today and grabbed a grilled chicken. When it came to check out, our chicken was leaking. So, instead of offering to go get us another one, I had to run all the way across the store to get another one! It was hot as hell on my hands and unprofessional of them. Costco,do better! Sams club blows you out of the water.
google avatar

Ron S.

Yelp
I've been using the Costco's Visalia pharmacy for about 18 months and have nothing but good things to say about them. Best prices on meds, well trained staff. The techs and pharmacists I've delt with are patient and helpful. One tech even filled out some paperwork, did some internet research and called my insurance company multiple times to save me a bunch of money. So I'm the reason someone stood in line longer than they would have liked. For that I'm sorry. Even though the lines can be long, they always move fairly quickly. After all, it's Costco and they are known for long lines. Five stars is earned in my book.

Marisol C.

Yelp
I was charged twice and the cashier said there was nothing she could do about it. Two payments of $212 saying the payments never went through because the receipts didn't print out, so I ended up paying with cash. Now I'm short $425 because they don't want to refund me back my money.
google avatar

Paola T.

Yelp
I was struggling with a cart full of groceries and home essentials. I was surprised that several of the employees watched me and didn't offer to help considering I have a cast on my left arm. Otherwise this would've been a five star review. I am only giving a four stars because when a Costco employee who was in the parking lot saw me, he immediately rushed over and offered to help me, thank you Luis. Because of you this is a four star review. And a little tip for the managers around train your employees well or send this young man inside to do the work for them!
google avatar

Sandy L.

Yelp
Oh my, oh my, it so easy to spend so much more than anticipated. Who does not love Costco, what's their not to love. Everything you need in one place from furniture to cakes, they have it all.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely terrible food court system. We ended up just leaving because it was so frustrating. Waited forever for hot dogs. Someone needs to figure it out

Yelp
So, I'm a pretty laid back shopper and there has been only 3 times in my 36 years that I was so angry about an interaction with a store employee that I walked out, and all 3 times were at this store. What does that tell you? Dear Costco Visalia: Your employees are rude to your customers. If you read through the reviews here, you'll find that this is not an isolated incident, but an ongoing problem. Not to mention, it's a pretty well established perception around town. I literally had to say to one of your employees, "ma'am, I don't understand why you are being so hostile towards me. You gave me the wrong order as demonstrated on my receipt. You can just apologize and fix it like any other store." She then went on to roll her eyes and walk away. She was livid. You know, because I politely informed her that she gave me someone else's order. You can't make this stuff up, folks. I just had my final horrible experience here and will never step foot in this place again. Avoid this place at all costs. You are essentially paying a membership fee to be treated horribly. I will note that this has not been my experience at other Costco's. Just this one.

Yelp
My wife went shopping with my wife and Karley was the clerk, before it was our turn, she was really rude and disrespectful towards a Hispanic family. Well, I thought maybe a miss understanding occurred and didn't think much of it. My wife was paying while I waited in the line for customer service. My wife called so I can ask fir an explanation of a price, Karley was so loud and obnoxious (screening and yelling instead of communicating in a professional manner) the sad thing js that not 1 but 2 supervisors got involved and one said "maybe because of the mask there was misunderstanding." I understand that, even if it was, why yell and use a tone of voice that made us feel like second class citizens. Very disappointing and I never expected it from Costco of all places especially if 2 supervisors were involved.
google avatar

Yelp
I would like to see costco management set a section with all vegan merchandise. Example: NO WHEAT , NO Dairy, NO SUGAR, NO FLOUR.
google avatar

Angeline Z.

Yelp
The worst Costco I've ever been to. Starting from the way they line up their carts outside, to the people checking for membership cards that do not instruct aloof customers to keep walking opposed to creating a bottle neck, to the horrible layout, to the utmost disrespectful cashier, Carlos. Purchased some random things and some beer and whiskey. Carlos didn't even acknowledge me when I pulled up to the register and without even looking at me says in a condescending tone, "ID." I said, "Really, how about 'hi' first." Continues to not look at me and says "I need to see your ID." I said sarcastically "Hi. Here you go." He grabs it and his assistant had already gotten my membership card and put it on the register and he inspects my ID and membership card for no joke 15-20 seconds. Says nothing and puts my ID down. Seriously? You chauvinistic jerk! Get a personality and greet people hello. If you're not going to act like a human being then Costco should open up self check out lines. At least they make fun noises.

Teresa L.

Yelp
This is a pharmacy review. Ronnie V. in the pharmacy was amazing and fabulous. My father tested + for covid and after speaking with his MD, then getting meds ordered. When arriving at the pharmacy to them pick up, was told they could give half of the meds and then the rest the next day. Waited for 20 minutes and when went back to pick up, Ronnie said that she had enough to give the whole prescription. And so no need to return again. She said the sooner the meds were started the better. She is amazing and has a great sense of humor. Way to take care of your customers. Thanks.

Yelp
This Costco location is decent. Some of the staff is enjoyable to deal with while others not so much. It seems like some staff members are there more for the fraternizing and gossip than to help customers. There's times when I have a good experience though. I do have to say.... If you see something you'd like or that you know you like you should get it because they don't always have the same things every visit. All in all I still end up going back.
google avatar

Yelp
I went to costco in visalia and the lay out different then and handford. But the workers are rude not very helpful make me give my card up not shop there. So I'll drive out of my way go any other then the one by my house.

Yelp
Lol! What a joke! I'm sorry but you all need to get it together there. I was literally just there and whatever new system you think you've got going on to help the speed of your food court, IT'S NOT WORKING! After waiting in a line for 30 to 40 minutes at the cash register to check out, I ordered two yogurts, thinking maybe that was the end of the craziness. LMAO was I soooo wrong about that. Now I'm waiting in line for another 45 minutes to get my yogurt. I'm standing by the front when I hear the employee yelling and screaming and freaking out. Okay I understand you're in a stressful situation with a ton to get done. But stop breathe and move on. No! That's not what she does, she is freaking out yelling at other employees and to top it off, customers. At one point she started yelling at a customer not to roll her eyes. At the end of the day let the customer roll her eyes because you've got bigger problems to worry about and you're stirring the pot with that one. So finally 30 minutes into this a yogurt is set off to the side and I'm watching it. 45 minutes later another yogurt is brought out and my number is called... now I tell the lady that is stressed completely out "this has been sitting there for awhile can I get a new one please?" And of course she says no that's yours. Alright so thank you Costco but me and my husband will not be shopping there anymore AGAIN! I think maybe I'll have a good experience. When I come home from Costco and open my first bag of sliced apples. This is disgusting. And you want me to feed it to my children?

Yelp
We shop at Costco and the warehouse for large supplies. The bathrooms are clean & the prices are competitive. The Employees do an excellent job and very friendly & helpful. That has been our experience across the country as we we spend our retirement years traveling around the country in our RV. Complaints are specific to Visalia, CA. Generally, the gas pumps are packed with lines frequently out to the street. Again, prices are generally the cheapest in town. The store is typically VERY BUSY! The lines at the register often take 15-20 minutes to check out. All of this BEGS for another Costco store on the North side of town. I thought the Hanford store would take some of the pressure off, but it has not. Visalia is a great store with great employees, but they are extremely busy.

Yelp
This is for tire department. My SUV was in need of a set of tires and thankfully Costco had a $150 instant off Bridgestone tires. I called around and checked the internet to see if there was a cheaper deal and Bridgestone and there wasn't. I ordered the tires on Costco.com. They shipped to my local store and arrived faster than estimated. I called and made an appointment once they arrived to have them installed. The guys at the tire shop were courteous, friendly, and fast. We definitely saved money on there and got really good tires. Will definitely check Costco from now on anytime We need tires and I recommend you do too.

Kenneth B.

Yelp
As far as a very rude young lady. I hit two numbers at the kiosk and had to redo it and apparently my number in line was lost. I waited several minutes even after others were called after me. They wouldn't even listen to me. After 15 minutes waiting for a HOTDOG I demanded my order. A young lady through it into the bag tearing it and slammed it on the counter. I voiced my displeasure and she replied, TO BAD and walked off saying it again.

Yelp
No one is following Covid protocols here. Gas station attendants not wearing masks and security guys at exit touching every receipt! When I said I didn't want the receipt because of Covid fomites he shoved it into my ten year old sons hand behind my back. Employees also crowd up within several inches of customers. This place is a Covid death trap. Avoid it if you can.
google avatar

Yelp
As someone who has visited many a different Costco, I am beginning to find out that no two locations are really the same. Layouts differ and some are less convenient than others, but the real difference comes down to supply and stock. The Visalia Costco, at least compared to the Costco's I've visited in the Sacramento area, has generally less to choose from and has been out of items I've sought. With that said, it's still a great place to get bargain in bulk. There is always some new gadget or product on display in the center aisles. If you come on the right days and times (usually when it is most crowded), you can have your pick of the samples.

Yelp
Lady greeting & checking membership cards at door was extremely rude to a woman asking a question about a purchase in Spanish. Extremely disappointed that not one employee in the area spoke the language but instead were getting frustrated with the customer. There is nothing like seeing a person eyes light up in relief when an employee speaks their foreign language.
