I can’t comment on the rooms as we didn’t stay. We had AFTERNOON TEA here. The service was great, polite and friendly. The scones were the best part of the afternoon tea. Warm with cream and jam - they were fluffy and not too heavy. Sadly we found there were too many cake options and not enough sandwiches/savoury. There were no savoury pastry options, understanding all afternoon teas are different just found with 5/6 smaller (brought in not home made) cakes the experience was very sweet. So if you like cake you’ll love it 😊

Booked afternoon tea for today but when we arrived we were told afternoon tea isn't there but in their sister hotel across the road. No warning of this and they also did not let the Noel Arms know we were coming so they were a little surprise. However they couldn't do enough for us. 5 stars for the Noel Arms who were so accommodating even though we appeared with no warning. Luckily we didn't have any dietary requirements but had we have done, they would have found it very difficult to accommodate us at such short notice. It would have been a courtesy for the Cotswold House Hotel to have emailed or contacted me to let me know in advance so we would have had the opportunity to change venue. And also to let their colleagues know too! As it was we had the most wonderful afternoon tea at the Noel Arms who looked after us so well. They will be receiving a 5 star review.

We chose Cotswold House as our venue not only due to the stunning location, and fabulous food but also due to Mandy - the Cotswold House Wedding co-ordinator. She made us feel at ease and she made sure that every step of the way we knew what we should be doing and brought everything together beautifully for our day. We had a medium sized wedding (45 day guests, 20 evening) and the facilities fitted us perfectly. We made use of the beautiful grounds and had a stunning ceremony on the croquet lawn, reception drinks on the patio and gardens and then had a stunning meal in the Montrose suite. The staff took care of the timings and made sure everyone was always where they were supposed to be and they ensured we got a little time to ourselves throughout the day. A perfect day that we will cherish always. Thank you Mandy and the team!

We had our wedding here on the 26.07.25, Mandy and the team went above any beyond to not only make the day the most special day of our lives, but the planning process throughout the past 18 months, was seamless and enjoyable. We really can’t thank the team enough for the care and attention to detail, they have shown us. Not only is it a picturesque backdrop, and an exceptional standard of food and service (for our 90 day guests and 120 evening guests), alongside many other perks such as late license to 1am, and that at the time of booking, it was no extra charge to have our wedding on a Saturday, also all added to our special day. We were slightly concerned as the venue wasn’t ‘exclusive use’ but we need not have of worried, as on the day it felt completely ours and very private. We also had 15 rooms booked for the night of wedding and everyone said how lovely the accommodation was - ourselves along side many of our family and friends, will be looking forward to visiting again. Thank you so much again - Mr & Mrs Ashley

We booked in for a half day spa package (£135pp). This was excellent value for money. The spa is set back in a separate building away from the main hotel and the facilities are lovely. A heated pool, jet system and Hammam spa room made this a thoroughly relaxing experience. Flip flops are provided for all guests to use along with robes and towels. The lovely Grace greeted us as we entered the spa and nothing was too much hassle for her. She kindly switched our afternoon tea from 3.00pm to 12.30pm with ease. Our full body massages were amazing and so was the cream tea (both came as part of the spa package price). Service here is wonderful and the team make you feel very welcomed. We would 100% be back!

A really lovely hotel/Spa in a quaint english village. No food served in the restaurant on a Sunday evening, however the very friendly and helpful staff advised of some lovely place to eat just a short walk away... Across the road is the sister hotel which served delicious food, We opted for the ribeye steak that was superb. Breakfast was really lovely in the bright and airy breakfast room, overlooking the patio and garden. Overall a lovely visit and would definitely go back and use the Spa facilities and pool.

Having stayed here before a few years ago, my husband & I decided to return recently for an overnight stay. I have to say that standards have slipped & the Cotswold House Hotel is not what it was. |We parked in the car park at the back of the hotel & found the signage & directions into the hotel virtually non existent. Once in the hotel, we had to ask another guest where the reception was. |The whole hotel seemed in need of a complete redecoration, as was the case with our room too. A good lick of paint everywhere would be a start.|Thankfully we ate dinner elsewhere but breakfast was rather clinical & prescribed, and the staff were not very welcoming.|I'm afraid that the Cotswold House Hotel is now an example of faded glory & we shall not be returning.

Yelp
This Hotel came highly regarded of which we saw parts. The gardens in the back our pretty, the buffet breakfast was generous, staff were pleasant, and the downtown location was very convenient. However, overall hotel room comfort did not meet expectations. When we checked in, our room was very hot due to the sun coming in the windows. The AC didn't work properly and the front desk was very slow in finding someone to solve the problem. Because we faced the street, it was too noisy to have the windows open at night to get fresh air. Perhaps I would have felt differently if given a room in the back with a view of the gardens. This was our least favorite hotel out of the six we stayed in during a 7-day walking tour.

Yelp
Lovely hotel with comfy beds and fantastic bath and shower! Bathtub fills up fast and so soothing after a long day! The Fig restaurant was good and the bar/pub ok except for the jarring rock/blues that was blaring. Only problem was they are very understaffed so the wait times are long. I made an appointment at the spa but a customer before me was late and I couldn't wait the extra 30 minutes they were behind so I was so very disappointed....especially since they didn't offer anything like a percentage off on a product or service.....they didn't seem to care.

Yelp
This review is particularly for Afternoon Tea at FIG restaurant only. We stopped by after strolling around Chipping Campden without making prior reservation. The staffs were courteous and kindly checked for availability for us. We then were greeted and seated soon after. The service at Fig was great. The tea selections are great. The High Tea set are delicious and quite a lot! I actually enjoyed the scones quite a lot even though I don't like it that much in the States. Quality, Service, and Experience definitely worth more than 22£ per person.

Yelp
Cotswold House is the cat's meow...! The service is impeccable. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The ambiance is romantic and inviting. The grill is lovey and offers tasty meals. And, the setting - right smack in the middle of town - is gorgeous. A bottle of champagne was wating for us upon arrival. Bottled waters were provided with the evening turn-down service. And, the beds and bathroom in our room made us feel like we were in our own mini-spa. I'd return in a heartbeat. This is The Cotswolds. This is an English Rose amongst roses in the breathtaking English countryside. Yes, it is the 'COT's' meow... ;)

Yelp
Me and my wife stayed here for three nights in June. The location is spectacular and the rooms are extremely romantic. The breakfasts were wonderful. Our only complaint was that there was loud music in front of the hotel both our first night until midnight and all day the following two days. The first night was the Olympicks and the second day was a fair, so just beware of these events before booking.
