Cotswold House Hotel & Spa

This hotel is absolutely stunning. This was the wedding venue this weekend for my son and his beautiful bride. The hotel were amazing it was so special||Rooms are gorgeous literally everything you need. My son had a cottage with hot tub was beautiful. My daughter was upgraded to a cottage room honestly stunning. The gardens are beautiful with room to be quiet or space where people can sit together. ||The food was incredible and the cocktails are so good. Well stocked bar. Breakfast was also extremely good everything you could wish for.||Loved my stay so much would like to go back to have a look around Chipping Camden and I would definitely stay here

Fabulous wedding reception for my daughter and her fiancé. Everything was extremely well organised for the drinks reception on the patio, prior to the wedding breakfast. The reception room looked lovely and we were able to get into the venue the day before to decorate the tables etc. Great cool room with the air conditioning. Service and food were excellent. Far exceeded our expectations! Staff were very friendly and responsive. Mandy had control of everything on the day. Great day, followed by a good nights sleep in a very comfortable bed and lovely room. Couldn't have asked for better. Thank you.

Stayed here for our wedding night and were treated amazingly. Our room was spacious with a private garden and hot tub. The staff couldn't have been better, we were treated to free glass of fizz and a room upgrade. The restaurant served a lovely variety of well cooked food. I would definitely visit again.

Went as a couple for a weekend break after being gifted a voucher and we were not disappointed! The staff were really helpful when booking and throughout our stay, they couldn't do enough for us and always with a smile. Room was perfect, champagne and chocs were waiting for us (part of the gift voucher). The hotels location couldn't be beat, right in the beautiful center. We had a delicious breakfast and evening meal. Parking is available at rear of hotel and also had e-chargers if needed. Super relaxing break, we would love to return and try out the spa treatments!

I can’t comment on the rooms as we didn’t stay. We had AFTERNOON TEA here. The service was great, polite and friendly. The scones were the best part of the afternoon tea. Warm with cream and jam - they were fluffy and not too heavy. Sadly we found there were too many cake options and not enough sandwiches/savoury. There were no savoury pastry options, understanding all afternoon teas are different just found with 5/6 smaller (brought in not home made) cakes the experience was very sweet. So if you like cake you’ll love it 😊

We had our wedding here on the 26.07.25, Mandy and the team went above any beyond to not only make the day the most special day of our lives, but the planning process throughout the past 18 months, was seamless and enjoyable. We really can’t thank the team enough for the care and attention to detail, they have shown us. Not only is it a picturesque backdrop, and an exceptional standard of food and service (for our 90 day guests and 120 evening guests), alongside many other perks such as late license to 1am, and that at the time of booking, it was no extra charge to have our wedding on a Saturday, also all added to our special day. We were slightly concerned as the venue wasn’t ‘exclusive use’ but we need not have of worried, as on the day it felt completely ours and very private. We also had 15 rooms booked for the night of wedding and everyone said how lovely the accommodation was - ourselves along side many of our family and friends, will be looking forward to visiting again. Such an underwhelming experience. Spa has barely anything. Steam room and tiny pool, the chairs are so stained and dirty looking. The massage was extremely average and very little pressure despite requesting multiple times throughout. No attempt to wipe all the oil off me at the end. Absolutely not what I’d expect from a spa at £90 per hour. The cream tea was extortionate at £50 for 2 scones each and a cup of tea. None of the staff ask how your experience has been so unfortunately they’ll find out through this review. I came away from here in a bad mood.

We had a great stay at Cotswold House. The hotel is in the perfect location, right in the centre of the town. Our classic room was so well equipped with everything we needed and the bed was especially comfortable. The front of house staff were so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious and again the staff were brilliant. We can’t wait to return.

This Hotel came highly regarded of which we saw parts. The gardens in the back our pretty, the buffet breakfast was generous, staff were pleasant, and the downtown location was very convenient. However, overall hotel room comfort did not meet expectations. When we checked in, our room was very hot due to the sun coming in the windows. The AC didn't work properly and the front desk was very slow in finding someone to solve the problem. Because we faced the street, it was too noisy to have the windows open at night to get fresh air. Perhaps I would have felt differently if given a room in the back with a view of the gardens. This was our least favorite hotel out of the six we stayed in during a 7-day walking tour.

Lovely hotel with comfy beds and fantastic bath and shower! Bathtub fills up fast and so soothing after a long day! The Fig restaurant was good and the bar/pub ok except for the jarring rock/blues that was blaring. Only problem was they are very understaffed so the wait times are long. I made an appointment at the spa but a customer before me was late and I couldn't wait the extra 30 minutes they were behind so I was so very disappointed....especially since they didn't offer anything like a percentage off on a product or service.....they didn't seem to care.

This review is particularly for Afternoon Tea at FIG restaurant only. We stopped by after strolling around Chipping Campden without making prior reservation. The staffs were courteous and kindly checked for availability for us. We then were greeted and seated soon after. The service at Fig was great. The tea selections are great. The High Tea set are delicious and quite a lot! I actually enjoyed the scones quite a lot even though I don't like it that much in the States. Quality, Service, and Experience definitely worth more than 22£ per person.

Cotswold House is the cat's meow...! The service is impeccable. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The ambiance is romantic and inviting. The grill is lovey and offers tasty meals. And, the setting - right smack in the middle of town - is gorgeous. A bottle of champagne was wating for us upon arrival. Bottled waters were provided with the evening turn-down service. And, the beds and bathroom in our room made us feel like we were in our own mini-spa. I'd return in a heartbeat. This is The Cotswolds. This is an English Rose amongst roses in the breathtaking English countryside. Yes, it is the 'COT's' meow... ;)

Me and my wife stayed here for three nights in June. The location is spectacular and the rooms are extremely romantic. The breakfasts were wonderful. Our only complaint was that there was loud music in front of the hotel both our first night until midnight and all day the following two days. The first night was the Olympicks and the second day was a fair, so just beware of these events before booking.
