The Best Restaurants In Belltown

"In case the giant pink neon sign of a certain Italian-inspired hand gesture doesn’t immediately tip you off, Cotto serves pizza and pasta. And there should be nothing stopping you from sitting in a sleek wooden booth with a char-speckled margherita or mafaldine ribbons in silky lemon butter. But just let it be known that you can do the same thing for half the price during Cotto’s 4-6pm Happy Hour, otherwise known as the best time to pop in. Inflation, we’re not scared of you." - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo

Nice small and centrally located restaurant, has an Italian flair. We had a couple of well crafted cocktails, a pizza and their Brussels sprouts. Nice meal. Quiet location - we were on the early side.

This is an excellent Italian Restaurant. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful, and the food was amazing. All the pasta is fresh and made in-house, as well as the pizza dough. The pasta dish (rigatoni in meat sauce) was incredible, so was the pizza. The dipping sauce used for the focaccia bread is outstanding, it’s a house made balsamic reduction. If you enjoy Italian Good, I highly recommend this restaurant.

We went to Cotto on a Friday night around 6 PM without a reservation. Luckily, we were seated right away, but it got busy quickly, so I’d definitely recommend making a reservation if you’re going later! The service was nice and low-key, they checked in when needed but gave us space to enjoy our meal, which we appreciated. We ordered two pizzas to share (there were 2 of us), and they were delicious, a good portion depending on how hungry you are. But the real star of the night was the Brussels sprouts! They were absolutely amazing, and we’d come back just for those. Overall, Cotto is a great spot for a romantic date night with a cozy ambiance and a convenient location. We’d definitely return!

Visited COTTO BELLTOWN while looking for some casual dinning and a nice atmosphere after our cruise and before returning to Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. We were initially attracted to the restaurant buy the flames from the Wood Burning Oven. We were approached my the owner Brayden while looking at the outside menu. Braydon was very personable and told us a little about his restaurant so we decided to dine there. We started out with a cocktail and Brayden personally made my wife a delicious Expresso Martini as I enjoyed a cold IPA Beer. We ordered the Cesar Sslad an an AMAZING order of homemade Meatballs served in a delicious gravy/sauce. Brayden visited out table frequently as we ordered a shared plate of Pasta Alla Vodka. The dish was made with HOMEMADE pasta cooked to perfection with a slightly creamy sauce seasoned and presented to perfection. We finished the meal with absolutely the best tasting Tiramasu we ever had and a shot of Lemonchella. If you are in town for a cruise or just looking for some excellent local dinning, we highly recommend COTTO BELLTOWN. Robert & Rose

Google
Great restaurant! I went with one other person and we sat outside on the patio. On a Saturday afternoon, there were a handful of people working at various restaurants who went outside to smoke, which blew over to where we were sitting. That was a low point. We got the burrata which had charred corn and chimichurri, and a pesto fusilli with pepitas. They were both delicious and for two small-appetited people, it was the perfect amount of food. I thought it was slightly odd that they only had two non-alcoholic drink options, not even fountain sodas or anything. The mocktails we got were not worth $14 each.

Google
We used to like Cotto, but our recent visit was a letdown across the board. We ordered the meatballs, focaccia, and carbonara. While the appetizers were okay, the carbonara was a major disappointment. The menu promised guanciale and eggs—classic, authentic ingredients—but what we got had none of that flavor or richness. Italians would be mad! There was no guanciale at all (as you can see on picture), and the dish was bland and flat. It honestly felt like they cut corners but still charged full price, which feels dishonest. Service was also extremely slow. It took about 20 minutes just to be greeted by our server, and the food took forever to come out after that. The whole experience felt like a shadow of what Cotto used to be. If a restaurant advertises certain ingredients and then doesn’t deliver, it starts to feel like a scam. We used to love Cotto pasta before but sadly, we won’t be returning and we are disappointed.

If you scroll a bit back in my review history to my Italy days you'll see some of the greatest pizzas of all time. I'm kind of weary of trying pizza in America in non-Italian frequented cities but Seattle is really stepping their game up lately! Cotto is incredible! I had the pizza salsiccia tonight and wow, the sauce, the dough, the toppings were all fresh and tasty. I got a side of meatballs to dip my crust in and mmmm, so good. I love the decor. The staff are all super chill and friendly. The happy hour is pretty generous. The cocktails are amazing. I think this just became my new neighborhood spot! A must visit!

Google
We were looking for great pasta before a concert at CPA, and found this delicious spot that was under a 15min walk. Great service and super fresh ingredients. I loved the heirloom tomatoes and the vodka pasta. Everything was top notch though! Would choose to dine indoors next time though due to the foot traffic engaging with our meal.

Yelp
I've always received great service at Cotto and Bar Cotto. Contrary to less positive reviews, their service has been consistently high with me, specifically when scheduling events. They have been supportive when I've approached with a limited budget and I was grateful to work within their parameters to provide great evenings for larger parties. It is my experience when planning to work with a vendor to determine what they think is best over what I think I might need. We've always found common ground to create a successful dinner. The pasta and pizza are some of the best in town.

Yelp
This is a really cute Italian spot in Belltown. Make sure to ask for the special 2 person menu! It comes with your choice of wine, appetizer, pasta and pizza to share with your dining partner. It's a great deal for $70! My BF and I ended up getting the Brussels sprouts which were quite toasty and flavorful! A very nice size portion too. Then we had the pasta with brisket. This was the highlight of the meal, with homemade pasta and savory brisket. Then we had the funghi pizza with wild mushrooms and fontina cheese. It was quite good! We couldn't even eat all the food and had to take some home as leftovers. Nice service and ambiance as well. Not too crowded on a weeknight either.

Yelp
Fancy restaurant, very fresh pasta (4/5 stars) but I found the pizza too bread-y for my tastes (3.5/5 stars). Great service (5/5 stars) and fancy low-lit vibes.

Yelp
3.5* - I liked some of the dishes we tried while others were underwhelming! Came here with friends on a Saturday night with a reservation. We were seated immediately when we go there. The ambience is cozy and dimly lit, which would make it a great spot for a date night or a small group. This is all the stuff we tried: Brussels sprouts - Crispy but lacked seasoning Pasta Ala vodka - The sauce was creamy and delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked, al dente. Foccacia - this was a little dry and stiff, pass for sure! Pepperoni pizza - crust was crispy with generous amount of pepperoni.

Yelp
Stopped by Cotto a couple weeks ago while I was in Seattle. It's a couple blocks away from Pikes place, just far enough to escape some of the crowd/traffic. Service was great, very friendly and amicable. We ordered an appetizer, pizza, and pasta. All three were great but did not blow me away necessarily. I can see Cotto being a cute date night spot for something a little more upscale during a night out in Seattle.

Yelp
Wonderful service, good food and lovely atmosphere. We walked in around 6pm on a weeknight and were seated right away (party of two). Ordered the beets, broccoli, and the salsiccia pizza. The pizza was spectacular, perfect crust and sauce and delicious toppings. The beet appetizer was very good and the broccoli was ok (partner quite liked it, I found it quite sour which I didn't expect from the description). Service was attentive and friendly. We got mocktails which were also very good. I'll definitely be back to try more pizzas!

Yelp
Horrible service extremely rude bartender worst service I've ever had in my life. I currently work in the service industry and never in my life ever or have ever seen a waiter treat customers with such blatant, disrespect, he had grey hair and glasses. completely was disrespect condescending through a tantrum when we told him we wanted to split the bill and on top of that was blatantly rude disrespectful and kept putting us down. He threw a tantrum like a big man baby. He consistently kept saying I can't do this. Blaming us saying that we were messing up his POS system. Wish I had a better experience because the food was actually quite good, but if you want to be treated like a dog and a piece of shit come here.

Yelp
Great service! The pasta was very fresh and authentic. My pasta al vodka is as a little spicy but delicious. We had a big group and the vibe was very chill. A little pricey but high quality.

Yelp
What a fantastic experience! While our table was not available, we sat at the bar to wait. The owner came over and was so hospitable and friendly we ended up enjoying a fantastic dinner at the bar. The menu is in flux but if it's not on the menu yet, get the Beet Salad, Amazing! Everything was more than good the pastas are incredible especially the Lamb Ragu, Parpadelle and Gemelli. This place is serious about food. Thanks B for an incredible dinner!

Yelp
The service here was really disappointing - it was not busy, but our server/bar tender took a while to take our order, someone else came after they realized we finished our appetizer. The meatballs were decent but nothing extraordinary. However, the pasta was absolutely incredible! It could use a bit more cheese but overall, it was the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the poor service overshadowed the experience, and I don't think I'd return because of it.

Yelp
A hole in the wall that you wouldn't notice from the street s this Italian joint with some really nice dishes. The service was busy so you might need to flag down a person or two and the ambience is intimate. Great for a date night, small group, or happy hour. Onto the food: we went for restaurant week and ordered an array of different dishes. Really recommend trying multiple things here because it's all so good! Apps: Brussels: 5/5 stars, perfectly charred with a sweet combo of honey drizzled throughout Broccoli: 5/5 stars, with a subtle spice and crunch of pine nuts Entrees: Fusilli: 4/5 stars, thought I would like this more. It was a light refreshing spring taste to it and strong pesto-like sauce substance Gemelli: 5/5 stars, (note: this was served with pork not the brisket) very sweet and savory with perfectly cooked noodle. Really good! Dessert: Tiramisu: 4/5 stars, I don't even like Tiramisu and devoured this. Heavy on the vanilla cream than overpowering with coffee which I appreciate. Drinks: Cocktails $14 flat Wine glass: $12-18 range Really good spot overall! I would definitely return.

Yelp
Excellent unexpected happy hour! Came here after a long afternoon at the Space Needle and Chihuly. They had a Sunday happy hour, and a lot of the menu (pizzas, pastas, and apps) were on it. My friend and I split the mushroom pizza, the meatballs, and the brussels. Portion sizes were very good, and we ended up taking some home. I didn't care for the texture of the mushrooms on the pizza, but everything else was delicious. The inside is nicely decorated, with enough space in between tables, and parking was easy on a Sunday evening.

Yelp
Food - the pasta was really amazing. I'd come back for pasta here any time. My partner had the gemelli and I had the mafaldine. The drinks (aperol spritz and twilight in Parma) were good but not too standout for me. We also had the burrata and the focaccia which were good too. We had gelato too - chocolate for him and olive oil fennel pollen for me. Very tasty! Service - very attentive and kind. The (owner?) actually came over and brought me out a whole new pasta on the house because he said my portion was too small. I didn't really realize but I appreciated that very much! Ambiance - very cute and romantic vibes. There are a bunch of candle lit tables and it's got a cozy vibe. Great for date night!

Yelp
Food was excellent. Great selection of drinks and wine.. cozy neighborhood bistro. Excellent service. The staff is very friendly burrata squash appetizers to die for. Roasted beets is delicious.. Highly recommended

Yelp
Stopped in for late night dinner after work with a friend and I was so impressed! The space is gorgeous and the holiday decorations were so pretty but not overdone. Service was perfect, attentive and fast. The number one thing for me was the food. I am honestly normally underwhelmed with Italian food (because I can make better at home) but this was so so incredibly good and made me want to come back and try the entire menu. We got the broccoli, the pappardelle and the bread. Sea Wolf bread is always delicious, the seared broccoli was insanely good & the pappardelle blew us away. Definitely want to try more of the pasta dishes in particular. Drinks were also good! I personally liked the al limone the best. I'll definitely be trying more cocktails and getting into the wine menu in the future. Extremely positive experience after a long day at work, which I also want to note, this spot is great if you work late because it closes at 11. I got off work at 9:30 and was still able to get a delicious dinner & drinks. I will absolutely be back.

Yelp
Good service and pasta was very fresh. We didn't have pizza but they looked very good. Next time we'll try the pizza. This little restaurant was busy and rightly so. The food was very good. Be sure to make a reservation.

Yelp
SRW limited menu. What great little new Italian restaurant. 4 of 5 stars because the starters and desserts were lack luster. But the pastas were delicious! Chop salad was soooo salty, I couldn't eat it but my husband finished it! The meatballs were actually quite tasty and reminded us of grandma's home cooked meatballs. Again, the last pasta was delicious. We all ordered à different kinds pesto , limone so refreshing and the brisket was good too! Dessert was different! We had the EVOO gelato, it was interesting. The chocolate gelato tasted like uncooked brownie mix, eek Our sever was sweet and attentive, Cheers!

Talia H.

Yelp
service could've been a lot better for a nice restaurant like this one! we weren't greeted for a while when we walked in and getting the servers attention was difficult.
google avatar

Declan H.

Yelp
Stopped in this place after a night out nearby and a craving for Italian. The pasta was made in-house (apparently) and excellent. It was perfectly al dente and I really enjoyed the sausage rigatoni and glass of wine that I ordered. The service was great and the waitress was friendly. Unfortunately my girlfriend found her meal - pasta alla vodka - a bit too watery, which was unusual to us. There is room for improvement, and I wouldn't mind returning and trying something new.

Yelp
Such an amazing addition to Belltown :) fits right into the neighborhood foodie scene / family vibes. I always feel such a welcome friendly welcome coming in everyone takes the time to get to know the people who live in the neighborhood: humans AND our fur kids. The food is absolutely outstanding and such a fun treat! The happy hour is one of our favorite past times as a group!! Also love the team loves to try out new dishes too!! Brandon and amber plus team are such a fun group!!!

Yelp
I've been here twice and finally feel like I've got enough to leave a review. Overall, this place is good but not great. Would return again but wouldn't list it as a favorite. Good: -The bruschetta appetizer and tiramusa dessert are both amazing! -Decent wine and drink list. Something for everyone but not so big that it is overwhelming. -Location is right in the heart of Belltown and easy to find. Bad -The pasta was overcooked and I felt the rigatoni with sausage and peppers may be better as a gnocchi? -The place is small and both times I've been sat by a big, loud group. Impossible to avoid in a venue of this size. -Cold air comes rushing in through the front door if you're seated nearby. I feel like a grandma saying that, but it did catch my attention while trying to relax and enjoy a warm meal.

Yelp
Great place for something casual but when you're craving Italian! They have a good menu and price for happy hours. Service is good, pizza was little bit too doughy. I was able to dine in easily without reservations at 4pm but didn't see many people still until dinner time.

Yelp
Really nice fancy-ish date spot. Ambiance is really nice and its lively without being overbearing. Service was super friendly as well, and very attentive. My boyfriend and I came here for prom and it worked great. We got the focaccia, the seared broccoli, mafaldine (a creamy lemon sauce), gemelli (brisket, more stewy in flavor), and tiramisu. The broccoli was amazing, perfectly cooked and really well seasoned. The focaccia was more like flat bread but also super delicious. The pasta sauces were unique, but I felt that the pasta was overcooked. My favorite part was definitely the tiramisu, as it was nice and light yet still juicy with the coffee flavor. Overall, the portions were great, and the pricing was very reasonable. We were able to eat this much for around $88 before tips. I think that I would definitely come here again, but maybe pass on the pasta next time for a pizza (just because I am a bit picky about the noodle consistency). Nice spot!

Russ J.

Yelp
We have been here twice, love the food. The mushroom pizza was delightful, the arugla salad is wonderful. I tried the pasta someone else in our party ordered. Also good. The waiter we had was great, very friendly and fast, especially considering it got really busy while we were there My only complaint is the physical surroundings, the music was too loud, and a lot of it was probably someones favorite, but if you don't care for it, it's just annoying. And as seems to be the case in a lot of places now, it was really cold. I hate having to leave my coat on in a restaurant. We will definitely be back, the food is worth the annoyances, but especially the music volume might be looked at from the customers point of view.

Yelp
Walked from the Olympic Sculpture Park for a light dinner. Saw the sign for house made pasta and stopped. Got seated on the outdoor patio/sidewalk. Nice atmosphere with cloth tablecloths. Attentive but not overbearing service with staff checking on us frequently. Pasta was fresh and cooked just right. The brisket pasta was dressed with just drippings from the brisket and it was AWESOME; did not need anything else. Got (fried) brussel sprouts. It was a nice serving, not just a few leaves. Also got the bar snacks because I like pickled veggies and it did not disappoint with a small portion with carrots, peppers, cauliflower, not just a big pickle cut up that we got at another recent restaurant stop (and some nice olives and almonds also). Noted they have 4-6 and 9 to closing happy hours.
google avatar

Paige L.

Yelp
Great service and nice ambiance. Food was good, pasta made in-house. Had the Caesar which was fresh, good. Cocktail was ok. Salad, pasta, 1 beer, 1 cocktail + tip -$80. Kinda pricey all said and done. Though the bar tender, waiter and 4 people in the open kitchen were working their butts off, super kind and awesome. Noteworthy service.

Sally D.

Yelp
Literally the best!!! Love this place, the food is incredible. Vodka pasta, the roasted Brussels, and the pizza.... Hands down the absolute best in se

Yelp
Doing business with this organization is a gamble at best. I've been trying to organize a business dinner at Cotto for 12 days via phone calls and email (the email form on their website goes into oblivion and is not checked). The communication is terrible and I still haven't gotten a final answer--assuming they just don't care at this point. I can't imagine running a business like this, the experience has been deeply unprofessional.
google avatar

Sabrina M.

Yelp
We just stopped in for a quick drink after dinner, so this review is for the drinks only. I have to say, the food does look really great! Our server was super friendly and checked on us often. The service was great. However, two of us ordered a drink that clearly stated that the liquor was Four Roses. We watched the bartender pour a shot of Jim Beam. We decided to wait to see if the drink tasted OK before we said anything. It did taste fine so we didn't say anything at the time. It could have been an honest mistake, but that's really not cool when you are charging $14 a drink.
google avatar

Patrick H.

Yelp
Food was pretty good. Service wasn't as good. It wasn't a particularly busy night, yet we waited our entire meal to get a second drink while the entire staff (bartender included) just chit-chatted the entire evening, gossiping away, multiple tables going unnoticed. Missed one of our dishes entirely. Would go back again if they had newly trained staff.

Yelp
A solid pasta place in Belltown. The restaurant is small and intimate and service here is l prompt. The pappardelle had a really satisfying chew and the sauce it came with was lucious and meaty--the only real knock against it was the price ($26). My party was still hungry after the main course so we ended up ordering a pizza; it was delicious and we were lucky it was happy hour prices because the pie was definitely worth it.

Jenifer M.

Yelp
They need to expand the menu, especially pasta options and add some entrees. Too limited, as there are no main entrees to select after starting with pasta. No one wants to eat both pasta and pizza in one meal! Chef needs to up his game, for a $26 ( on average) pasta dish. Why no desert options ? To the owner: go eat at Piazza Italia in Portland. Small, amazing, authentic ( italian immigrants owned) restaurant in the Pearl District. Curated menu and reasonable prices. Always packed. Taste every dish. We need a place like it here. Your restaurant has potential. Lastly, please close later than 10 pm! You are in the heart of Seattle.

David K.

Yelp
Was in town as part of a birthday celebration. Made note of it on the reservation but it was never acknowledged. Service was a bit disorganized but friendly. Atmosphere very casual, warm on a hot day with pizza oven facing the diners. No AC. Food was above average. Pasta a la vodka was tasty. Pepperoni pizza had a good crust with generous topping but very salty. Meatball appetizer was very good but small portion for the price. 3.5/5 minus 1/2 point for not mentioning my partner's birthday which was noted in two places on the open table reservation
google avatar

Theresa N.

Yelp
Searched up a quick Italian spot since my friends were craving pasta and this place did not disappoint! We ordered almost every different pasta and loved them all! Different flavors of sweet and savory upon every one depending on what you like! I got the one with pork and it was a bit too salty for my liking. Space is small but will do if it's not busy. Their lemon drop cocktail is delicious! Try out the apps if you can too. Personal favorite would have to be the meatballs! Finished off our dinner with lemon sorbet. I fell there are better Italian spots I have yet to try but so far this place was solid. Would come back!! Service is quick and our waitress was nice.

Kendra K.

Yelp
This was all around a terrible experience. We made a reservation for 5:30pm for outside. We walked up at 5:20 and they were seating another table outside and the patio was full. We waited for 10+ minutes which was fine, but when they finally greeted us the man asked if we had reservations, we said yes, and he said outside was full so he grabbed a plate off a table inside and just pointed to the table and walked away. We didn't mind sitting inside, but he was so rude. The way he gestured toward the table and didn't even actually seat us was something I've never experienced. He brought us a water container with no glasses. They didn't give us menus. When the waiter came and took our drink order we didn't even have menus. They had sat, give t menus, and taken orders of tables all around us during this time. It was very obvious we weren't wanted/welcome.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped by on a Saturday night. We did a last minute reservation online and the place was full without any people waiting. The ambiance was cute but the restaurant was a little chilly. We opted for the seared broccoli ($13) appetizer based on recommendations online. The Calabrian chili aioli was delicious but the broccoli itself was inconsistently charred and overly salty. I would skip this the next time. We also had the pappardelle ($26), which was my favorite dish of the night. The ragu was flavorful with soft, braised pork pieces over springy fresh pasta. The portion was on the smaller side and I don't think I would have been full if that was all I ate. We also shared the funghi pizza ($22), which had a significantly larger portion. The mushrooms could have been more flavorful and I wish the pizza overall had something binding it together since the toppings kept slipping off. They're extremely generous with the toppings and I really liked the onions on top! My husband loved the crust, which was fluffy but I wish the crust was thicker. Overall, a really solid Italian restaurant that I would come back for if ever craving pizza and pasta.

Kristin V.

Yelp
This place is an undiscovered gem. Their lemon malfadine, broccoli, and pizza are soooooo good and somehow all on happy hour. Service is always impeccable and the place has a great ambiance. My husband and I's go to when we're in Belltown.

Cecilia K.

Yelp
We ordered the mushroom pizza(funghi pizza) which listed 'wild mushrooms' and charred onion as topping. The only topping there was button mushrooms. No charred or any kind of onion. I have never been to any restaurants which bring out just button mushrooms as wild mushrooms. When I asked the server about the missing toppings, her answer was lukewarm 'they must have forgotten in the kitchen'. No apology at all. Checking online photos of their mushroom pizza, they look quite different from what we got. If you can't cook your own food as described in the menu, I don't think you should be running a restaurant.

Yelp
The food, service, and wine are all excellent. Sit outside and enjoy people watching or sit inside for a more intimate experience.

Yelp
The food was great! The service was so rude on a Friday evening! You would expect better.. Not recommended

Yelp
this place is just incredible. I've been a big fan of bar cotto and their pizza so every time I've come to cotto belltown I've expected to scarf down the pizza but OMG the pasta and the sides/appetizers! the gemelli is a must, so silky and full of flavors. i want to bathe in the papardelle. but seriously, the meatballs, the burrata, the broccoli, the shishito peppers - all outstanding. you will never be disappointed no matter what you order

Yelp
This spot is really good! I made a reservation on a Monday night which definitely wasn't needed- seating was wide open! Really enjoyed the mushroom pizza which tasted wood fired, and the meatballs were moist and super fresh and tasty! Also enjoyed the house red which was a great deal at happy hour, but wasn't thrilled with the Caesar salad. It was honestly flavorless, and even with extra dressing on the side, I would skip for a future visit. However service was great, and ambiance was just fine. Overall pretty happy!

Beth H.

Yelp
Cotto never disappoints! You cannot go wrong with the house made pastas, wood fired oven pizza & amazing cocktails! Great place with fresh food & wonderful service!!

Yelp
10/10 would recommend! Amazing Italian food in the heart of Belltown! Service was excellent! We were celebrating a bachelorette party and Amber gave us a bottle of complementary champagne and made us feel very welcome! Ambiance was very cute and romantic! Pappardelle and rigatoni were amazing as well as the tiramisu!

Popped in for a birthday dinner with a friend and we were both blown away by the food. We ordered a few apps and pasta and we finished everything. We knew we hit something special when we listened to tables around us talk and discuss how delicious the food was. I am so happy that they moved in down the block, I will become a frequent visitor for sure.

Yelp
An incredibly wonderful dinner experience! It was the great food, wonderful ambiance, and truly caring staff that made our dinner out with friends, the best in a long time. A focused one page menu with honest staff knowledge of the dishes, ensured my dishes were to my liking. The owner chef, Brandon Barnato, truly cares about his customers' experience. He remodeled an old sports bar in Belltown, into a warm and inviting italian restaurant with a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Thank You Brandon Barnato, Ed Geiger

Yelp
Food and service were excellent. I love the atmosphere. It is very comfortable. Check it out for dinner or cocktails at the bar and must have gelato!

Yelp
Stopped in at 9pm on a Saturday after a show. The restaurant has modern decor and the ambiance music wasn't too loud so you can relax while enjoying your meal. The service staff and the owner are friendly and attentive. I ordered the mafaldine al limone, which I recommend. Great matching of texture and taste. The showstopper, though, was my wife's pappardelle with pork ragu. Remember that scene from "Ratatouille" when the food critic took one bite, his eyes went wide, and he was transported to his childhood and his mom's cooking? That was my exact experience on the first bite; it was that flavorful. That dish is what prompted me to write this review. The gelato are served as a single scoop and may look small, but they're the perfect size due to their richness. The sweet cream is served with a sprinkling of salt, which enhances the sweetness. Usually I only eat in this area after a show and the restaurants are an afterthought, but I'm more willing now to come into the city just to dine here.
