It is absolutely great ice cream store at Nashville Broadway area. I was really surprised with their incredible shaved ice. They got many innovative flavors, even with alcohol. I felt that they added too much sugar for me. The banana flavor was my favorite without too much sugar.

Google
So glad we gave this place a shot! I almost never buy shaved iced but the menu and pictures looked so good! We ordered the banana pudding shaved ice, the pecan pie shaved ice, and coffee ice cream. When you order a small, it is actually a pretty big shaved ice, so you can share with a group of people. The banana pudding shaved ice was delicious and tastes exactly like the pudding but you can still taste a bit of the fake syrup. The PECAN PIE SHAVED ICE was absolutely amazing!!!! There was caramel, pecans, ice cream on top. The shaved ice was sweet and creamy texture almost. It was so so so good!!! We got the coffee ice cream too but it wasn’t as strong.

Google
Overall 4-stars because of parking, otherwise, wonderful experience. Tosha got the cotton candy soft serve and it was delicious. I got the blue raspberry, cherry, and pina colada snow shaved ice with soft serve on top. It was awesome! I got the nonalcoholic serving, but I would definitely bet the alcoholic serving would be on point for sure 😉!

Google
I wish I could post a review of the food, but I cannot. I am making this post as a warning to all, if you show up 30 minutes before closing time, make sure they have whatever you order. If you don't, you may end up like me with a disappointed child and no ice cream. Arrived to the food hall and was told there were 30 minutes before closing, the venue was still pretty full, so I quickly placed my order to head out. After waiting about 10 minutes went to check and was told they were out of ice cream and couldn't fulfill my order. Plus I would have to go to customer service to get my money back. That's it. Done. Good night. Very shameful because it seems like a small business and that is not the way to run a small business. Do not take orders you cannot fulfill, and if you do, make sure you do something to make amends.

Google
So first, it's incredibly expensive. Like $1-2 per sprinkle topping. You're looking at $20 for 2 cones. It's also not ice cream. It's vegan. It's water based ice cream. So don't expect this to taste like actual ice cream. This isn't advertised anywhere on their menu. All 4 of us dumped the ice cream / floats we ordered after a minute.

Google
Over priced "soft served icecream" super slow service. Ordered the coconut and cotton candy soft served. 1.75 dollars per topping for 5 walnut pieces. The ice cream wasn't even ice cream. It was pure soft icey that both tasted the same just lots sugar. My son and I couldn't finish. My son ended up throwing up from the hard gummy bears. Horrible would not recommend.

I was visiting from NYC. Very refreshing dessert in the hot weather. The pineapple flavor syrup was delicious. Would love to try the alcoholic once next time I visit Nashville.

My first time at Cotton and Snow and it did not disappoint. I got the southern butter pecan shaved ice and ice cream. Very interesting product, great staff, and good atmosphere.

Yelp
Cotton & Snow is super refreshing! The snow cones were perfection, the have lots of basic and interesting flavors to chooses from and an extra plus is you can make it an adult snow cone. The snow cones are the perfect liquid to ice combination. As far as the customer service is was very basic the staff were not very friendly and were not very engaging, but not rude... just know what you want and dont expect anything more. But overall it's a good place for a cold and sweet treat would definitely go back.

Jen F.

Yelp
The hubs and I shared an Espresso Martini shaved ice with vanilla ice cream. The flavors were wonderful. I was expecting it to be more substantial for the price (it was around $25 all in). For that reason, I'd rate it more like a 3.5. But we did enjoy it. It is located in the Assembly Food Hall.

Jeruby M.

Yelp
I was craving a snow cone soo bad and this place definitely lived up to my expectations of how good they used to be when I was little. They had cute picnic tables in the back where you also grab your order as well. The service was pretty quick and the cones are bigger than the picture and I got a small! I definitely will be stopping by here again soon!!

Yelp
Shaved ice deliciousness! Last year we took a baby moon to Hawaii and this year we took a baby moon to Nashville. Little did we know we would have better shaved ice in Nashville than in Hawaii?!? Cotton and snow is a cool little cotton candy and shaved ice eatery. They offer tons of flavors and combos as well as boozy versions if that's your fancy. My hubby and I roamed around all the food options and were pretty excited to see cotton and snow. The guy took our order with enthusiasm (seems like enthusiasm runs thick in this area), whipped them up in a jiffy, and they were excellent! Flavors were in abundance and the ice was perfectly shaved and smooth. I had not had whipped cream on it before but it magnified the smooth texture and totally added to the deliciousness. Toasted coconut on top is a must as well! We are in Nashville a couple more days and I hope we make it back.

Ashley S.

Yelp
Fantastic & super fun!!! I opted for the boozy cotton Candy snow. I couldn't taste the alcohol but it was good. Too much and I couldn't finish it!

Christina L.

Yelp
Snow balls were big and tasted amazing. If you have small kids you may want to have them share.

Michael C.

Yelp
My son loves Matsumoto in Honolulu. He said this place is his second favorite. Shaved ice is super soft. Pricey but good.

Miatsu K.

Yelp
This little place is located inside the Freedom Food Hall and what an amazing little find it was. This was a totally unique dessert of the likes I've never tasted. It's really hard to explain what it was but it's like snow, cream and pudding mixed into one confection. It was pleasant to look at and amazing to taste. My girlfriend and I shared one and we both purred like kittens as we ate it. If you find yourself inside the Food Hall, make sure you try this place. Even the girl that made it for us was pretty and sweet. She was extremely friendly. Great service

Kennette C.

Yelp
08/02 @ 5:00 pm Espresso drink was so sweet I couldn't eat/drink it; went back & ask the workers to add a little water & after paying $18 for something I couldn't even drink they wouldn't do it. Also tasted ZERO alcohol; I'll never go back!

Yelp
So glad we have this place a shot! I almost never buy shaved iced but the menu and pictures looked so good! We ordered the banana pudding shaved ice, the pecan pie shaved ice, and coffee ice cream. Yelp
Wowowowowowow! The best creamy snow cone like ice cream ever! Located at the assembly hall, great location with good vibes! Love their boozy one along with regular ones. I've tried a few of them and they definitely do not disappoint!

Jeany P.

Yelp
Way overpriced. For the berry mojito and there was no alcohol in there. Pure syrup but cost over $20. dont bother getting the alcoholic versions.

Joseph T.

Yelp
I've been here on two separate occasions and the snow cones are so good. I've tried the horchata and the cotton candy flavors and I think the horchata is better. You pay between 40-50$ for two snow cones but that's the price you pay when you mix alcohol with snow cones. They also have an options without alcohol but I'm not sure how that affects the price. The staff were always nice and patient each time I went. The place is inside of the assembly food hall so it's perfect if you're catching an event nearby or just wanted to come in for dinner and dessert. Overall, great business design that actually tastes great!

Erin C.

Yelp
By far the tastiest cotton candy I have had in all of Nashville. (And with alcohol & ice cream?? Yum!) My friends and I devoured this thing, it was absolutely delicious. Good flavor, good texture, bright colors and kind customer service. Was it $30 delicious? Eh, no, but I'm glad that I got to experience it. This single treat was $28, which seems a bit much for shaved ice and spun sugar (even with the added alcohol).

Vladmir T.

Yelp
Ok Ice, HIGH PRICED! $14 for a tiny bit of ice with flavor is a bit steep! No price was listed saying $14 which makes sense since people would probably walk by then. $8 for parking makes for the most expensive shaved ice I've ever had. It was good but not worth $22

Patricia Abigail H.

Yelp
I love cotton candy! And this was very very very good snowcone, unlike the ones you get from fairs and stuff they are professional snow cone makers, the ice was very smooth and delicious, it's more of a shaved ice than snow cone. But this is the best snow conde dessert I've ever had!

E.l. J.

Yelp
Saw this place the day before and told myself I would come back the next day! Showed up the next day, only to be disappointed. They have soft serve in a variety of flavors. I asked for Strawberry and Chocolate soft serve, in a cup, and was quickly disappointed. I was told, "We don't mix flavors!" Ummmm... what? Who doesn't mix flavors for soft serve? Needless to say we made our way over to Hattie Janes instead.

Kiley K.

Yelp
I thought this would be one of those places where you get a fun novelty dessert that looks better than it tastes and boy was I wrong! First of all, they have so many delicious combinations it's hard to choose but I eventually decided on the coconut cream pie (which is currently off-menu) with the help of the staff. It did not disappoint! This is far more than the typical shaved ice I expected, it was creamy, flavorful and perfectly sweet! It was boozy without being over the top and destroying the dessert aspect. It's a little pricey at $18 a pop but well worth it for a splurge treat!

Karen V.

Yelp
The ice texture was so good. Very soft and smooth and not icey. We got the strawberry açaí lemonade and it was delicious but no lemon taste. They also have snow cones infused with alcohol options.

Shaun J.

Yelp
Y'all let me tell you something!!! This place has boozy snowballs that are AMAZING! Their ice tastes like soft cotton. Its so flavorful and the flavor doesn't leave a bad after taste like the cheap flavors! I was like a big kid with this Snoball! I purchased the RumPunch with strawberry! 10/10!

Anita M.

Yelp
This spot located in the 5th and Broadway food hall is the perfect dessert place, especially for summertime! Their "snow" is a finely shaved ice, much different from a typical grainy and crunchy snow cone. Think more like a slurpee but less liquidy and more scoopable. Like Italian ice but softer and easier to eat. I've tried ordering flavors off the menu as well as creating my own. Here's my 2 cents. I recommend either creating your own or ordering their flavors but skip the "boozy" ones. While it looks and sounds appealing- There is little to none if you're hoping for a buzz. Save your $ and buy a shot at the bar instead. Furthermore I've been happier just doing my own flavors as the price nearly double if you choose a fancy prechoosen recipe. Go for it if any of their fancy flavors really appeal to you but I've been super satisfied with choosing my own and adding an ice cream topping for way less!

Courtney M.

Yelp
I could eat this stuff every single day of my life. The girl working the counter asked me if I wanted a double shot in mine and I wash like uhhh yes! So tasty and refreshing!

Jessica Z.

Yelp
Fruity and frozen desserts are my FAVORITE and this one was exceptional. I am still trying to figure out how they got the shaved ice so soft and fluffy!! There was the perfect amount of strawberry flavoring throughout the ice and the whipped cream on top was the perfect touch. Next time I go back I definitely want to try one of the boozy flavors and perhaps their cotton candy as well. My friends and I all agreed that this was the perfect refreshing treat on a warm afternoon in downtown Nashville. We enjoyed our shaved ice while listening to the live band at the Fifth + Broadway Assembly Food Hall. This place has the coolest industrial chic ambiance and was super clean/ covid safe. Fortunately we had no trouble finding a table on a Saturday afternoon because the food hall is so spacious. Can't wait to go back!

Shelly C.

Yelp
The place was nice and clean. The cashier was friendly and courteous however when we ordered ice cream they were out of the coffee flavored one.

Avianna W.

Yelp
I've been to this location a few times and it never disappoints. Tanner helped me out and his customer service was amazing. If it wasn't for today's economy i would've given him all my money. My snow cone was delicious and tasted like it was made out of love. 10/10 recommend.

Jessica R.

Yelp
If you are in Nashville and looking for a refreshing treat this is your spot! The Hennessy and coke slushy was amazing! It was a little on the sweet side for me. The next time I would ask for less syrup! The consistency was perfect. My husband loved it and didn't think it was too sweet. It's all about preference!

Dan N.

Yelp
My wife and I have enjoyed Hawaiian style shaved ice not only in Hawaii but a lot of places because it seems to be a trend that is spreading. The hook that this place has is it's "Boozy" ice. We were like "heck yeah!" Sign me up! Honestly, the deserts were very average at best - not bad but nothing We'd come back for. Barely any booze was used - at least we didn't detect much. But here's the kicker: we ordered 2 shaved ices; a regular non alcoholic and a regular with booze. With tax and tip: $42!!!!!! Excuse me, I need to get to a priest and confess! We felt a bit of shame spending that much on so little. Oh well, lesson learned. I want all businesses to succeed especially during these hard pandemic times - but could businesses meet us half way and not gouge us?

Nikki W.

Yelp
Pretty expensive for shaved ice and cotton candy, but very tasty! A fun combo of sweets usually not paired together

Viet D.

Yelp
If you are the owner and you are reading this- your employee working on Dec 5th afternoon is a rockstar! He singlehandedly took orders and made all the snow bowls-- with a smile, not flustered all! This was the best snow I've ever had! I love that the ice cream was not sweet- not sure if that was intentional or just a weird batch but I loved it since it offset the sweetness of the syrup and provided that yummy creamy contrast! My cotton candy was so cute and so delicious!

Luis C.

Yelp
Very good cotton candy. Tanner, who works there was a funny guy that made it a good experience to get a treat for a date.

Francisca H.

Yelp
Fast service, smiling faces, the building was was very warm and welcoming . Definitely worth your time & Money

J W.

Yelp
The cotton and snow shaved ice was awesome! You get a huge portion for a decent price. The menu offered a nice selection of flavors and other things to try. The staff was pleasant and made our orders quickly. The only downside was that we wanted the shaved ice with the alcohol added sine we were at 5th and Broadway for a celebration. And what celebration isn't made a little better with a drink or two? The operators did say they'd have their liquor license soon, so hopefully others can enjoy that option. Overall, a nice option for something cold and sweet.

Sarah F.

Yelp
We loved it. Expensive ($87 for family of 5) but worth it. Kids loved it! The shaved ice is so thin you've never had anything like it. The cotton Candy is amazing too. So sweet and tastes so good. Way more quality than fair cotton Candy.

Bill R.

Yelp
Big time rip off. We've been going here since 5th and Broadway opened and always got the one with cotton candy on top. It was always around $14. Now it's $18 with less ice cream and service is terrible. I could have gotten a better deal on dessert at the Four Seasons. Avoid it!

Josue J.

Yelp
Quite possibly, nope without a doubt the best snow cone ever. It's not very sweet, the ice is not crunchy and it is very delicious. Wish we lived here because we would be regulars for sure.

Mieken G.

Yelp
Worst customer service experience. I wanted to cancel my order when I found out they don't offer lids or any way of carrying to go, and the teenager behind the counter said "sorry we don't offer refunds". I asked if I could at least get some bigger containers so it would be easier to carry and she said no again. I spent $26 at this place and ended up having to throw it all away. I had a taste of my cherry cordial before I threw it away and it tasted like cheap carnival food. Way overpriced and awful customer service.

Robert K.

Yelp
Terrible customer service, especially considering I paid $50 for two snow cones. One of the snow cones had to be made dairy-free so we requested the ice cream on the side. The employee said, annoyed, "we don't do that here, you either get it or you don't." As I walked away, both employees were looking at me and laughing. Do not recommend!

Rochelle H.

Yelp
It's sooooo good!! So smooth and the taste isn't overly sweet. And get ice cream with it. It's heaven in your mouth!

Vanessa H.

Yelp
I tried the fireball slush with additional boozy gummy bears. Total was $35 with tip. I ordered it for pick up. I got a text saying it was ready but when I got there I was told they don't do pickup on alcohol. I asked for a refund but then was told they could make it quickly. It tasted like cinnamon but not really boozy. The gummy bears were really gross. Soaked in cheap vodka. Wouldn't recommend.

Roma P.

Yelp
Okay this ice was literally like snow, and with the option to add vanilla custard made it even more phenomenal. Totally necessary especially on a hot day!

Enrique A.

Yelp
Family happened to stumble upon this place while exploring Nashville. It was amazing! The ice is so finely shaved unlike any other place. The lady that helped us was exceptional. While it did end up being $75 for 5 of us, you kind of expect the customization to cost more. If that matters to you, then go somewhere else and get a lesser product. We will be back in our next trip to town!

Derick P.

Yelp
It's one if the best shaved ices I've ever had. Went in on a Key Line snowcone. A regular is perfect to share with someone else or someone with a serious sweet tooth. The flavor mixed with the added whip cream and graham crackers made it taste just as advertised. They also sell alcoholic snowcones based around famous cocktails. Very unique and VERY delicious.
