"This cute spot in the Cottonwood Market Antique Mall gets a rebrand from the catering truck Saucy Savories that’s been around for a few years, CultureMap Dallas reports. Shop for antique and vintage finds and pop in for a seat and a plate of chickpea Caesar salad or a pulled pork sandwich with chimichurri." - Courtney E. Smith

I had never heard of Cottonwood Market in Richardson, TX until I purchased a few cute hats from Yhoaki at an event. The vendor mentioned they had a small storefront there, so I decided to check it out — and let me tell you, I got way more than I bargained for! What was supposed to be a quick 20-minute stop turned into over an hour of shopping and exploring! I absolutely love these types of places❤️ Hidden gems, local vibes, and so many unique finds!

Google
THIS PLACE IS THE BEST! Maybe because I never been to an antique shop, but me and my friend absolutely love this shop. We were there for three hours. We explored every single corner of the shop. Didn’t take a lot of pictures because we were more so mind boggled and gobsmacked. They have lafufus and other blind box toys tho! 😌

Google
Huge! Antiques, handcrafts and everything in between can be found here. From Shaker to Modern, this market has beautiful art, furniture, giftware and jewelry. Stopping in frequently, even to just browse, is a good idea as the merchandise changes. Be prepared to spend a morning or afternoon as the market is very large. There is plenty of free parking in front. This market is in a strip center with several food outlets including a McDonals and a Starbucks across the street. Only 4 Star rating as the cafe inside Cottonwood Market has short hours and there isn’t any where else to sit, get a drink or take a break in the market.

Google
Love this antique store/mall. There is A LOT to look for. China, paintings, cards, coins, etc…. Each row had more than I could have imagined.

Megan Arimanda

Google
My favorite antique mall in the Dallas area! They have the best variety of items and reasonable pricing. Every booth is unique and easy to browse!

Google
Always love visiting this place! If you want to see it all, make sure you have a half to full day free. Or plan to make multiple trips. It’ll be worth it!

Amayrani Montoya

Google
Found great deals! Don’t let the outside fool you this place is HUGE lol and have a cute tea and lunch spot.

Mary Bennett

Google
Very large place with so much to see! You can easily get lost in there but they do have street signs on each aisle named after area towns. Very cute. Found a couple goodies to take home! Will be back.

Hollyne C.

Yelp
Amazing! Just loved strolling through and finding treasures. Staff were very helpful.

Emily R.

Yelp
Horrible value! All antiques are market up 5x their actual value. Owner of booth 6543 is the rudest and most condescending seller I've encountered in all my years of antiquing. Did not appreciate being talked down to or the pat on my shoulder like I'm a child. Please don't ever touch a customer, especially to belittle them. Would not recommend unless you like poor customer service and getting price gouged. Go to High Street Antiques or just go to local estate sales (where most of this is sourced) if you really want to get the best value.

Carmen H.

Yelp
What fun day shopping at this Gem of a Market. I have purchased many treasures in the past but today I found the most gorgeous Staffordshire. It compliments my Den and my Home. Take a trip and I hope you find that certain something that makes you happy.

Sage M.

Yelp
Staff is unfriendly and rude. The teenagers are very unprofessional and check out is extremely disorganized. Multiple people checking out one person at once and almost ringing up multiple items double times. A lot of stuff is not priced but that's moreso on the vendors. I may give this place one more try do to the various selection and handmade booths they have.

Mark Edward M.

Yelp
DO NOT RENT A SPACE FROM THIS ANTIQUE MALL. As a future tenant and vendor I learned very quickly how poorly Cottonwood Market is managed. The management and owner are very unprofessional, lack integrity and good business acumen and refuses to do the right thing, especially when they make a mistake in renting a space to you that is not available. Its even worse when they turn the situation around and treat you as if you are at fault. Yes they offered a much less desirable alternative approximately 5 days before my lease went into effect, but it wasn't ideal and when the owner can do anything they want, and tell you so (repeatedly) and refuse to honor their commitments that is bad business in my opinion. Unfortunately, I had to give a 1 start rating to post this review but its not worthy of that in my opinion. Choose wisely and ask a lot of questions up front before you sign an agreement to lease from this owner/business.

Billy R.

Yelp
This place is so big! You can spend hours getting lost among the treasures. Prices are mostly fair, excellent collection. Friendly staff. A great place to just look for a little something or big grand furniture. Lots of different choices including vintage clothing. Would recommend for both the experienced antique hunter and vintage enthusiasts

Heidi K.

Yelp
A great antique store that I could definitely spend hours in! Most of the booths have reasonable prices and there's a great selection of home decor, place settings, and other tchotckes for your home.

Robin J.

Yelp
Love Cottonwood Market!! The selection is amazing and so many bargains are waiting to be snapped up!

Sally S.

Yelp
This entire antique store was so amazing! Each booth was so enticing and interesting. I really enjoyed walking through Cottonwood Market.

Kelley H.

Yelp
Such a fun and massive antique store! Tons of great booths and tons of variety! The prices I felt were very reasonable and there was pretty much a wide variety of different styles and pieces. The staff is really nice and they are constantly throwing events all the time- like Mother's Day shop and tea. It's a great way to get involved within the community and every Saturday from 10am-2pm there's a farmers market in the parking lot with local vendors. It's really a great way overall to support local people within the area. Love the store and love all the work that gets put into the community!

Kurt V.

Yelp
Hands down by far the best vendor / Antique Mall in the DFW area. Until recently there were some other contenders but this place has gotten a major overhaul with its new ownership and New Management and they have come into the market to make their presence known. Great selection of vendors carrying quality products as well as fantastic music playing while you shop. On weekends there is even a professional piano player playing a grand piano in the lobby. Just all around an amazing experience by any standards much less for an antique mall.

Louis Suo L.

Yelp
Antique heaven!!! I always leave with something in hand here. So far, I have purchased a large China cabinet, hand painted beverage cart, flower arch, and many other smaller decorative pieces. They already have so much floor space and it is filled to the brim with talented artists and their lovely treasures! Compared to other antique stores, I would say it has a higher concentration of smaller items compared to larger furniture such as cabinets, tables, and sofas. After you buy a large piece, they have a full service crew that uses equipment to bring the piece to the entrance. Wrapping, packaging, and loading would be up to you though. They also sell chalk paint, so if you want to buy plain wood furniture here and flip it with paint, that would be a profitable business. Be sure to check out the place for holidays, when the place is ripe with amazing deals. There is a cafe to the side with delicious specialty lattes, milkshakes, and seasonal flavors!

Brandon M.

Yelp
A giant selection from coins and records to purses and crystals. Everyone was nice and very helpful. Since the prices are set by the booth owners the value varies wildly but overall most things are reasonably priced.

Barb G.

Yelp
Price gauging at it's finest. I'm all for people reselling goods and making a profit but this place is so ridiculously overpriced it is to the point of absurdity. There used to be fun unusual finds here that did not require you to break the bank or sell your first born or trade your house for a 100 year old dresser. New owners? Greedier owners? What the heck happened here. 1. Your items are pretty average, easy to walk away from and 2. You came up with your pricing how???? Truly absurd. What a disappointment. Yet another cool business becomes a soulless dollar chaser. Rarely ...as in very rarely do I write a review. Cottonwood Market in Richardson disappointed me enough to earn themselves a review. My advice to the Cottonwood folks...half the prices...then half them again...at which point you will be at least a smidge closer to reality.

Yelp
My wife and I visited last week after just driving around looking for fun. Great antique market. We spent over 3 hours checking out all the offerings. They have a great used record section and we picked up some old favorites. There is a coffee shop inside that also has a selection of locally made jams and spreads. Great place to spend a few hours wandering with a companion.

Elizabeth D.

Yelp
The people that run this place are SO rude. I feel sorry for their vendors. If you're a vendor here please know you are losing money to these jerks. I called to order something and have it shipped to me and they had no interest in helping me get in contact with the vendor with the item. I do not suggest you patronize a place that is so horrible to it's customers and vendors.

Robert L.

Yelp
Antique shopping at its finest a d you should stop by. Reminds me of the antique mall in houston.

Susan B.

Yelp
Huge antiquing/vintage/etc market, and so lovely to see they've expanded the coffee shoppe inside (a great place to grab a seat and chill for a while). Lots of different things for everyone and a few really lovely, unique booths! Some good deals on items, but I've found that in general, items here skew a bit higher than some other antique malls in the area. A great place to dig and peruse for an hour or two!

Laurie Anne B.

Yelp
Wide range of vintage and antique items. Large framing service. Coffee shop. Plan to spend some time because there is a lot to see.

Teresa V.

Yelp
Very cool environment! Would recommend checking it out if you like unique things. You're sure to find something you won't see everyday.

Elliott B.

Yelp
I was pulling this up for some reason and realized I'd never written a review! We enjoyed the heck out of our visit here. Antique mall. My connotations: overpriced junk; not authentic; stuff that doesn't even pretend to be anything but chintzy crap; and general disappointment and wasted time. But no! This place was a pleasant surprise! First, it's HUGE. So immediately, I thought... hey... my chances just went up of finding some diamonds in the rough... Next, it's not hard to find cool stuff. They have a wiiiiide variety of all kinds of good stuff, from antiques to soaps, from original art to records, from unique clocks to ornate woodwork, furniture, toys, etc etc. We spent a while there and did not see everything by any means. My aunt has a booth there, which is why we went. It's called Style and Grace and is pretty cool (a lot of stuff from my grandparents - very authentic retro). It was so nice to visit and feel like we weren't just there to support her. We genuinely enjoyed ourselves! Some of the original art pieces were my favorite. Sure, some stuff was the chintzy crap that I expected, but there was plenty of good stuff to offset it. I look forward to our next visit! They also have a little cafe in the back that was a pleasant surprise. The Yellow Brick Cafe. Nice folks, good food, decent variety, and reasonably priced. Just follow the Yellow Brick Road...

Stacey G.

Yelp
Huge variety of different sellers, so many treasures to hunt for. Love love love this place

Catrina S.

Yelp
I've missed my vintage escapades and decided to make up for it by starting here! I found this place just by doing a YELP search . I'm going to start off by explaining why I deducted one star . I was in the store for about 30 minutes before anyone asked me if I needed help or even acknowledged me . Thirty minutes later , I was kindly greeted by a lady who asked if I needed help . I appreciate her asking and it wasn't her fault as she had not seen me yet , but I passed about 3 others who never acknowledged . This is important to me as 99% of the time I find something I will purchase , so I like the experience to start off well . But I digress ... Great store overall! They have lots of little vendor shops with various things from beautiful china, candles, vintage necklaces, vintage furniture and some really fantastic art! I would go back just for the art for sure . I would have liked to see more Mid Century pieces , but not deducting a star for that . They have a super cute cafe inside to chill out. I will check that out next time . Oh, really great prices for their art . Some are originals :) It's definitely worth a try to visit here.

Jerry W.

Yelp
My wife and I went there over the weekend and were more than pleasantly surprised. First off, as with most antique malls, the place is huge. It is well laid out and very clean. Also, the front desk staff are very pleasant and hard working. Perhaps my rating is a bit high, but we found some amazing deals on items we collect. On a couple of the items, we ponied up and paid more than we wanted, but that was more than made up for by the two deals that just blew us away. So happy we decided to go there.

Poop F.

Yelp
Rude as hell. The workers blatantly ignore you when you try to ask for help. Walked in and walked right back out.

Michelle K.

Yelp
I Love this place, the decorating is amazing. All of the marble top dressers and tables really give the place character with the rugs. The employees are super sweet and will watch over the stuff you want to purchase while you're shopping, if you drop it off to the front.

Linda R.

Yelp
Actually a flea market with over-priced old junk... not antiques. This Market is very big with lots of different stalls, but it seems all the stalls are the same with random old junk and furniture selling at high prices. One stall had motel ash trays for $20.00? One stall had handmade journals with well known characters that I am sure does not have licensed copyrights... yes, it is illegal to capitalize on another's brand without a license. Most of the stalls were stuffed with old furniture covered with tschotskes everywhere. If you are a collector of unique random stuff and do not have the time to make it out to Canton Market Days, this may be a good stop for you. If you want a large area to add steps to your Fitbit, this may be a good stop for you. If you have lots of time to kill, this may be a good stop for you. Otherwise, once is good enough.

Ashley C.

Yelp
I love this place! I could spend hours (and I have) wandering and getting lost in treasures. It's clean and well kept.

Emily M.

Yelp
There are a lot of vendors who sell manufactured goods. A lot of empty booths too. Some vendors had some awesome things look at. there were also a section in the back with mattresses. There is also a room that looks like they can have events or small getting there. It was neat walking through here and every isle had a street sign the same as streets in Richardson which was really neat. I probably would not go back. Not a place I would actually find something to buy.

Paola M.

Yelp
I have a long history with this place, I've been going to cottonwood market for years now (use to be Richardosn Merchantile). To start it is a hit or miss when I go but either way I always enjoy going to walk around and when I do find stuff they are awesome! Most of my house decor is from here. The only bad thing I have to say is it seems like about every other time I go I get flagged to be followed and always get asked to put my stuff at the front to hold and this wouldn't normally alarm me but my fiancé and I go together and she NEVER gets asked.. I thought it was all in my head until this weekend i was walking With 3 things from my favorite shop and a lady who was OFF DUTY with a Trader Joe's bad shopping herself.... stops me and tells me " I am a vendor here, can I put your stuff up at the front" I could had said no thank you but being the pushover I am I froze and said yes... I went to go find my fiancé and she also had two noticeable items and she was not asked ..... I hate to even mention this but my fiancé and I are different skin colors but we are both Hispanic women. I WILL still keep coming to cottonwood because I genuinely love this place but they really should work on this issue.

Raylie Hope S.

Yelp
The selection here is fantastic! Went there with some friends just to see how good this mercantile is and was pretty impressed! There a lot of good accessory booths and collectibles here. If you want to kill a few hours a leave with a mysterious looking domino and a sick pair of sunshades, this is the place for you.

Mary Rose B.

Yelp
I bought a cute Santa shirt today. After the cashier put it in a bag with receipt, I walked around the rest of the mall to look at other stands. I walked 20 ft down the hall, and one of the ladies who rents a stall (it has a large crowed chandelier in it!) said with an attitude " You are not allowed to carry a bag around in this store" My husband said " We just bought this shirt and have the receipt". She said again " You are not allowed! Well, my hubby took my bag to the car. We were alittle upset. I walked to the back of the store and saw others that had bags?? I felt like she was implying something. I am an upper middle class executive, just shopping for cute fun things after Christmas. My first time in the mall. I also went to the Cottonwood Farmers Market while I was there. Due to the experience, I won't go back. I kindly told the cashier what happened, so they know this is a great way to lose 1st time customers. Overall a few cute stands, but nothing worth it to deal with rude, argumentative stall owners. I am going to assume they/she might be having shop lifting problems, which is why she made a big deal about the bag. I suggested that after someone makes a purchase, that they should ask to keep the bag behind the counter if people want to continue to shop. Very sad. I can't recommend shopping here. The pictures are of some of the cute items I did see!

S K.

Yelp
certainly not nearly like high st antiques. cottonwood is more like a store selling junk from stuff they bought at hobby lobby than antiques. you'll find a couple of things that can be fun or might work with your decor but it's about 90% junk, i'm sorry to say... or laughably overpriced. trying to sell framed pictures that look like they're cut out of a magazine for over 100 bucks is common. i think you can find something here that might catch your fancy but be wise. as others have written, might be a good place to kill time but definitely not a place to find lil treasures.

Rebecca N.

Yelp
LOVE this shop! It's absolutely huge and packed with such a wide range of booths! All one of a kind items and each booth has something different! I've got so much of my home decor from here. Friendly staff and it now had new owners. I've seen a lot of good changes since the last time I was here!

Maria K.

Yelp
Great place to shop. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent assortment of new and antique items.

Kendall R.

Yelp
It was very big but a lot of it was very much junk. I was looking for vintage barbies and collectibles and they had almost nothing. What they did have though was purposely mislabeled to make it seem like it was worth more or more rare. There was one booth with barbies that had ones out of box that were very obviously from the 90s and had them labeled as "1966 barbie". I really don't like that kind of falsity in antique selling. If you're interested in antique/vintage furniture though, this is the place to go and the only reason I gave it 3 stars.

Jennie L.

Yelp
Great place to go. Gifts for everyone. Lots of new and antiques. You can find almost anything in this store. Check out booth 606

Lauren S.

Yelp
I love this place so much. The people are kind and friendly. The digs are clean and spacious. The items range from fabulous vintage and antique finds (most of the booths are vintage items) to random booths filled with quirky socks or local bbq sauces. This place has character and a light airiness about it. And on top of that it smells good, and they play legit old school tunes too. I stop in here on a regular basis to find awesome vintage treasures or just to window shop and bring my mood up a notch. Hit this place up -- you won't be sorry :)

Melissa B.

Yelp
This place is massive! They have a coffee shop in the back, which is where I think I'll start next time. Grab a cup of fuel and check out the wares. This is the perfect place to shop for gifts. They have antiques, handcrafted items, stuff for pets, huge pieces of artwork at dirt-cheap prices...don't miss this place!

Madi N.

Yelp
Oh, man! This place is so awesome! The Richardson Mercantile, or should I say MIRACULOUS-tile, is a huge shopping center filled with handcrafted products (like soaps and art), antiques, cute nick-nacks, stylish clothing, and not to mention an adorable coffee shop. Each booth is individually owned and you'd really be helping out small businesses just getting on their feet. Be sure to clear a couple hours because this place is massive, and you won't want to miss what these dealers have to offer!

Elizabeth D.

Yelp
Used to love coming here, but the quality of booths has gone way down. Very disappointing! I hope they raise their standards quick or this place will be out of business in a hurry.

Jen T.

Yelp
This place is like a huge antique mall. It has isles and isles and they all have local Dallas street names. I really enjoyed that. This mall has a coffee shop, and when I was there they had live music. The prices here were surprisingly affordable. This store was a lot of fun, I got lost in exploring for about an hour. I highly recommend checking it out.

Diana H.

Yelp
I really enjoy shopping at Richardson Mercantile. They have many, many vendor spaces laid out along aisles in an attractive manner, and are a one stop shop for gifts for any occasion! Many of the items are sold at market; others are original artwork, chalk paints, jewelry, crafts, soaps, lotions, succulents, clothing, etc. Best of all, there are wonderful antique/vintage dealers with industrial collectibles, boots, record albums, housewares, handbags, vintage clothing, toys, furniture and more. From farmhouse to mid century, to boho, shabby chic and goth, you will find decor and accessories to fit your style! Make sure to spend enough time to see the entire store. The layout is random so you don't want to miss ANYTHING. In the very back are vendors, too and also a coffee bar. In addition, the store often holds classes or customer appreciation nights so make sure you like the Richardson Mercantile facebook page and also follow them on Instagram. Checkout some of these vendors, my faves: Paula's House (shabby chic), Uptown Country (Jenny Grumbles of Storage Wars fame), HipMama (boho and vintage), Lone Chimney Mercantile (Dallas city artwork, etc.), Vintage Groves (tees, chalkboard signs, tea towels), Ghost of Benavides (antiques and chalk painted furniture) plus many more. Definitely check out this place and you will be hooked.

Mark E.

Yelp
LOVE LOVE LOVE this mall. Funky and recycled and reclaimed handmade art, FURNITURE, home goods and jewelry. You can spent the whole day and NOT see it all. Dogs are welcomed. Outstanding friendly service and always dealers in the booths and $pecials, Great Prices. SO DIFFERENT, not NEW stuff and crafts. Some extreme antiques I have never seen before..... Great selection of ART on the big wall. Cafe and Man Cave for resting. L&M

Anna L.

Yelp
found everything I was looking for and had a friendly stranger load it in my trunk - wonderful experience

Lisa L.

Yelp
Love, love, love this place!!! The people are so so nice! You can find anything for anybody for any occasion! I tell everybody I see about this place! P.S. The prices aren't bad either

Jim M.

Yelp
Good antique mall. Great prices. Stuff turns over quickly. Have bought several things here. Fun place.

Jason B.

Yelp
This is a nice location. Plenty of stuff to look through, with more vendors coming in every time I visit. Only downside is taking your wife, increases time spent there by an hour. Well lit, central location, and the staff is helpful and welcoming. I highly recommend a visit.

Rocio S.

Yelp
Today was my first visit. I truly loved it. Friendly staff. I also ordered a latte at the coffee shop. Alicia was very nice and my coffee was delicious. I will be going back. Another reason I love this place is that everything is set in an attractive manner.
