The 19 Best Restaurants In Fitzrovia - London - The Infatuation

"Next door to sister spot Naroon is Counter By Naroon. We prefer this daytime Persian cafe for a coffee catch-up or sit-down lunch, and you can construct your own wholesome lunch bowls. Our go-to order is the saffron rice with table tennis-sized meatballs in a rich tomato sauce. Add a couple of salads on the side, like the yoghurty mast o khair or citrussy shirazi chopped salad, and take a seat in the courtyard-like area at the back." - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak, heidi lauth beasley, jake missing

The 10 Best Persian Restaurants In London - London - The Infatuation

"Next door to sister spot Naroon, is Counter By Naroon. We prefer this daytime Persian cafe to its sibling restaurant because it’s perfect for a coffee catch-up or sit-down lunch in Fitzrovia. Our go-to order is the saffron rice with tender, table tennis-sized meatballs in a rich tomato sauce. Add a couple of salads on the side, like the refreshing mast o khiar or citrussy shirazi chopped salad, and take a seat in the homey courtyard-like area at the back. If you ask nicely, they might get you a portion of the smoky, evening-only mirza ghazemi from next door." - rianne shlebak

A must try!! !This was my first time trying Persian food, and I came here for brunch. The food was rich and flavorful without being too salty (unlike some other restaurants), the muffins were really flavorful, and overall, they were delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the service was quick!

The restaurant has amazing food, it’s the first time that I can’t finish a brunch because the portions are actually big and nice. Everything was super tasty and delicious. Highly recommended! I’ll be back for sure :)

Must try!! This was my first time trying Persian food and I came here for brunch. I recommend you have any of the Skillets menu bcos they are all rich in flavour, not too salty (unlike some other restaurant), and generally very delicious. Staff are warm and friendly; service is quick.

Food was delicious! I had the Persian omelette 😋 🍳 staff were friendly and food came in good time. The music was a little loud at some points, but other than that, a really good experience! I will definitely visit again when I'm in London!

I had the Royale eggs and my partner chose the Persian Omelette. Both of them were delicious but the persian omelette was definitely my favourite! Smooth but flavourful! The break that came with it as well... Amazing. We also got the berry booster smoothie. Fresh and rich! The service was 5 star, the lady that served us was very patient and peaceful, I'm coming back.

I recently visited Naroon, an Indian restaurant in London, and had a decent dining experience. The food was tasty, though not perfect, and offered a solid selection of traditional Indian dishes. I tried it during Ramadan, and while the overall experience was good, I feel there is room for improvement, especially in terms of food quality. The service was efficient and friendly, and the presentation of the food was impressive. However, one thing I noticed was that some of the chicken dishes had skin on the chicken, which I personally don’t prefer when cooking chicken. I understand this might be a matter of personal taste, and not everyone may feel the same way, but for me, I would prefer the chicken to be cooked without skin. Overall, I would rate Naroon at around 70%. It’s a good place to visit if you’re in the area, but there is definitely potential for improvement, especially in terms of consistency and attention to detail with food preparation. If they focus a bit more on refining the quality, it could become a standout in the area.

We really liked the whole concept of Iranian meals, especially having them in smaller portions so you don’t feel too full afterward. But the way the food is presented in one big bowl felt a bit messy. Mixing the main dish, rice, and salad all together doesn’t work well, the salad water spreads and change the taste of everything else. I’d recommend using a plate with section for the salad to keep the flavors more enjoyable.
