Country Burger

Country Burger is a cool, old school burger joint. They have a small arcade, the entire place is a tribute to Selena, they have a few TVs. The staff is nice and funny the whole place has a nice vibe. Dare I say a modern Arnold’s Diner (Happy Days)? I had the Philly combo, I personally could’ve done without the lettuce and tomatoes but the it was great and flavorful. The fries were the star for me though, crisp and perfectly seasoned. This is definitely a place where I’ll have something different every visit. My coworker had a double bacon burger that looked out of this world. Stars all across!

I've been wanting to try this place out for years after seeing it on the Texas Monthly show. I don't know why I didn't try this earlier. This is a quaint lil spot to get some old school burgers. Everything is cooked to order, so it'll come out hot. The service is really good & they have their system down. This will be our go to spot for burgers. The onion rings taste like Sonic onion rings with a hint of sweet taste. You have to give this lil place a try.

If you want to eat a fresh burger and fries, this is the place that does just that all the time 100%. I have been coming here since 1985 and they have never failed me. They do serve other items as well like onions rings, excuse the bite on the burger from my photo , I couldn't help myself. The staff is always friendly, especially Rose who takes the orders, she's so friendly, great customer service.

It’s been a while since I’ve been here. It’s been a childhood place but. Recently stopped by and burgers are still great. Onion rings were a bit too fried but great burger.

Pretty good burger, I would compare to braums... idk which I'd rather have honestly! Fries and popers are a lot similar to jack in a box. All around good food, just didn't really feel like a home town restaurant more like a eat inside fast food chain.

OMG!!! How I wish I had visited sooner!!! This is the ABSOLUTE BEST cheeseburger & fries I have had in decades!!! My food was hot, fresh, filling, and oh so delicious! Made specifically just as I’d requested it. The hamburger meat is seasoned to perfection! The fries are so crispy, hot, and delicious. I went through the drive thru, and the person taking my order was so polite and clear. I ordered the Double Meat Cheeseburger Combo with a Dr. Pepper, excellent prices! They have a beautiful mural dedicated to the late singer, Selena, which is such a nice touch. I cannot wait to go back! I have already begun telling my Friends and Family about Country Burger!

Such a chill homestyle vibe. Food was hot and fast, literally so good. Staff was friendly and you can tell there’s pride in cleanliness and food, SO GOOD! 10/10, keep up the great work guys! Don’t forget to support your local businesses!

Country 🍔 Burger on Hampton Rd The first time I came here I thought this place was a little overrated 🤔. They do have a couple good things really going for them. First thing they have a drive-thru and they seem to be pretty fast and efficient. The second thing is they've been around for a while and people seem to gravitate toward this place. In this time of over inflated prices, they do have a combo meal that is somewhat reasonable and compatible to Whataburger. Overall the burger tastes pretty good now they're fries 🍟 and onion 🧅 rings they need to do a little bit better and give you a little bit more for the price. Originally I would have gave this burger 🍔 restaurant a three out of five stars but I think they deserve a four-star ⭐⭐⭐⭐ rating at this time.

Never a bad experience here. Anytime I'm in the area this is my go to spot. I always get to dine with Selena and there is also a Selena Mural out front for a good photo op. The staff is always friendly and the food never disappoints.

Burger was good yet had no flavor. Juicy yet flavorless. Onion rings were placed in a styrofoam cup and the cup melts around the rings. Extra protein I guess.

Amazing service and burgers are super good they are pretty quick with service as well.

The food is good but the location is really bad. It's kind of dangerous once you go over there. It's hard to get out of there. You have to go to another area to get out. If you try and get out of country burger at their exit, you may get your car hit. You have to go around the corner of another building to get out safely but the food is good

Go To Crown Burgers down the street instead. They have good quality beef and flavored well. I've lived here all my life. I'm done with country burger. Low Quality meat, thin as paper with No flavor. Can they not add salt and pepper. I've given them chances through the years but they are back to trash with no flavor. Never again... Go To Crown instead.

Not good. So many other great burgers. Overcooked, under seasoned. Not much to review tbh.

I remember my grandma taking me to country burger growing up and I hadn't been since I left Dallas in 2009. It's decent. The Burgers remind me of Whataburger. The fries are ok. Service is always nice BUT they don't wear gloves when preparing your food. You can see the food prep line from the drive through window and this was the second time I've seen my burgers being prepared without gloves. That's a bit of a turn off for me. I rather got to Crown Deli down the street for a burger.

It's one of the great burgers in Bishop. They season their meat well and the sides are really good. It's clean inside and very spacious. Seems like a family run business. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

This place is absolutely fantastic. Bacon burger with fries is to die for. Maybe one of the only burger places my wife craves

An Oak Cliff Favorite Never disappoints. Quick & easy ordering. Almost every item is customizable.

Food was decent and good sized but burger could have been seasoned way better. I really liked their fries. Hopefully they are quicker inside because the drive thru took like 30 min and that was with only 3 cars in front of me. It wasnt good enough that i will be back, but after driving by so many times i was curious to try it.

The food and service are incredible. The restaurant also has some arcade games including air hockey table.

I like the name of the restaurant but to my taste buds this place does not live up to its name. When I think of a country burger I immediately think of a thick, seasoned ground beef patty cooked well done with plenty of toppings and either a toasted or buttered hamburger bun and that's probably messy to handle and delicious to eat. That was not my experience here. It was just a thin, unseasoned patty that was pink in the center. The burger was super basic, the cashier working couldn't explain what made any of the burgers listed on the menu different other than saying cheese. Country Burgers taste like something from Dairy Queen or Sonic so I definitely would not ever make a special trip here. I do like the picnic table dining room set up though.

Onion rings 10/10 tots are cronchy fries are thick chili is fantastic loved every part of my meal

The burgers here are SO good. One of the best drive thru burgers you can get. The managers special is our go to order. It's such a great deal. We always just pick up food in the drive because I feel like it's too bright inside and not that exciting of an atmosphere. If you have kids though it might be a good spot because they have a couple little arcade games.

Happened to find myself in this part of town needing lunch. A safe,drive thru lunch to be exact. This outpost of the dependable perveyor of burgers in the northern burbs came thru with an awesome vintage tasting real deal double meat cheeseburger and the best fast food or otherwise fries I've had in years Bonus star given for their location in an old fried chicken restaurant of my childhood. Nalers Fried Chicken.

We are moving into the area and have noticed the parking lot is always busy, so we thought we'd give it a try. The food was cooked fresh and came out served hot including both my burger and fries. The staff was welcoming and friendly. There's plenty of picnic table bench type seating in the dining area and was kept pretty clean. Would definitely go back to try other menu items! Great local spot!

This isn't a fancy restaurant, but it's it pretending to be. Bench seating at patio tables fits the food they're cooking. Simple foods at a reasonable price is exactly what this place offers. Don't eat burgers? They have chicken, and it's really flavorful. They could benefit from offering some healthier sides, but dude...it's a burger place. The food is only part of the reason to check out Country Burger. Their Selena memorabilia collection is rivaled by few. You could spend a whole day checking out all of the pictures, articles, costumes, piñatas...there's a lot. Check it out.

Food was good. Service was quick. Place had a chill, hole-in-the-wall burger place vibe with a dash of Texas kitsch.

Mid burgers. They are super greasy and the patty doesn't taste good at all. The only thing I like from here is the fries.

Great food and great service. Been going for years. But, yesterday, 10/11/23, there was a couple there and I am sure the lady was doing drugs in the restroom. She had a box of Narcan in her purse, not even hidden. I was there around 25 minutes and she was in there the whole time, because she went in after me, when I noticed the Narcan. The guy with her was wearing a white jersey said Carter on the back. He was charging his phone. I don't know another way to let CB know what was happening anonymously. Whoever reads this, pass it on to Country Burger.

Great burgers and shoestring fries. Burgers are good size and taste great. The junior size is plenty of burger as well in my opinion.

This place used to be one of my favorites growing up into Oak Cliff. After a few years of not having it, I drove 30 min out of my way because I've been craving it for some time. To my dismay, I found the experience anything but pleasant like I imagined. The temperature felt hot inside. There was a party of 4 and another man in front of me and waiting for them to order it took me 15 minutes. I finally placed the order for my kids and I. Two kiddie burger meals, two ten piece nugget meals and a country cheeseburger meal. My receipt shows 5:48 as the time I paid. About 15 min later my order gets called. I took the order to the table to realize none of the nuggets were in the bag. I went back and made them aware of the situation. No apologies, they just started looking for the nuggets. There was one cup of what seems like 4 nuggets ready to go so one of the employees put some in the basket to cook. A few minutes later another employee that was attending the drive thru came up and started to take the nuggets. The first employee made him aware that those were my nuggets I was waiting on to which the drive thru employee responded "drive thru first"... and continued to walk away with my nuggets. The first employee makes the manager aware of the situation and the manager made the drive thru employee return the nuggets. That late to w small confrontation between the three of them while I stood there and watched. I finally interjected and told them I had been waiting on those nuggets for twenty minutes now. The manager briefly apologized to me and gave me the nuggets. To make matters worse, I Take them back to my girls, they took the first bite only to realize we were given CHEWY AND UNDERCOOKED nuggets. I went back to the counter and Asher for a refund and showed her the nuggets. She gave me back the money with another half assed insincere apology. I never got to eat my food, I was so disgusted with everything and so upset I lost my appetite. That is THE LAST time I step a foot in that place. It's a shame that what was once a gem in Oak Cliff went downhill so bad. If the drive thru employee had given those nuggets to the other customer, they probably would've driven home before they found themselves biting into an undercooked nugget. What I observed from the time at the counter watching all of this go down is that there were no timers or beeps indicating full cook time for a he fries/nuggets/onion rings... which makes me wonder how many other times employees at country burger have served undercooked food. That is a safety hazard and I felt hat anyone who takes their time to read this reconsiders being a customer of this establishment. I'd give them 0 stars if I could.

Great Burgers. solid fries but really awesome onion rings. every time i eat here it has been tasty and consistent!!! never been inside but the drive thru works for a quick and tasty meal!

Best freaking burgers in all of Dallas! The chicken sandwich is delicious. The burgers are delicious the chili cheese fries are delicious! Good job country burger.

This is a quality place to go if you want a good old burger that has been served the same way for years. Been coming here since I was little and it's always puts a smile on your face on the way there. Inside is still old fashioned with it being one of the few places that I can think of that still has everything look the same way from when it started.

Good ol'fashion hamburgers. We have never had issues here. Food is made to order. Staff is always courteous. They been around for years. you walk in and it's filled with tons of Selena memorabilia

A while ago I ordered from the drive thru and I got a burger I do not know what I put on that burger, but it was somewhat great the fries were had a good amount of crunch, but not enough salt. The staff were super great. The restaurant ambiance was kinda not that well but I don't mind therefore I give this a 4 star review :)

Food was delicious! The place is definitely old school and could use some upgrades but the taste of the food is great, definitely worth it if looking for a good burger.

Ugh what a huge disappointment to find a hair inside my burger today. I have blue hair so I know for a fact it wasn't mine. I loved this place... I know things happen, but I don't see myself ever going back. I hope hair nets are still a thing.

I've lived in and around DFW for over 20yrs. This restaurant was a place that I always heard about but never visited. I went there on January 11 2019 to try the burgers which I heard were bomb. As I was eating my burger I bit into two hard items!!!! IT LOOKS LIKE A TOOTH!!!!! I am so freaking disappointed because the staff was very friendly and the burger had great flavor until I bit into whatever that was!!!! THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT HAS TO A+ THIS PLACE BEFORE I EAT THERE AGAIN(IF I EVEN DECIDED TO GO AGAIN) PICTURED BELOW IS ONE OF WHAT I BIT INTO

Was greeted with a friendly and efficient order taker. Received my burger and fries quickly. The cheeseburger and fries were excellent. Reasonably priced. It was exactly what I was looking hoping to find for a quick lunch.

This place is a hidden gem of South Dallas. It's low-key, but SO good. This is probably my favorite burger in South Dallas.

Meh. My friends have been recommending this place for years. I tired today and the sweet tea tasted liked it was sweetened with Equal and had a weird aftertaste. I also tried the double cheeseburger with bacon, the managers special and the bacon tasted old like it was cooked 3 days ago. I took it off and the burger was better but still had that lingering aftertaste from it.

Really great burgers, tater tots and onion rings. They are a bit pricey for the area but not many traditional hamburger joints to choose from in Oak Cliff. This restaurant has been a staple in the area for many, many years and still going strong! You should give them your support if you can!!

Would give 0 starts if I could . I worked for this location one day, and that's all it took for all the red flags to show up. First of all the pay is $8 which is not even minimum wage . I had specifically asked for for $12 before I accepted the job. She said if I train ONE DAY I can get $12 . I trained for one day, and got everything down making burgers, and everything else . When I had initially applied for cashier . Which she did not teach me at all about . She just threw me in the kitchen, and I had to learn everything and I did . Even the workers there were shocked, and told her I got everything down . After my shift I already had a feeling that she does not keep her word, so I asked her (the owner) if I'm getting $12 correct ? ESPECIALLY since she put me in kitchen, and not cashier . But, she went back on her word, and said I have to train for ONE WEEK and she was only paying me $8 I instantly told her that's not okay as I had already told her my price . So, she tried to say $9 . Which I still didn't accept . I called her the next day cause she said Call her before I show up to work and I told her that she had already told me $12 after the ONE DAY of training . Not ONE WEEEK. I was respectful to her, and told her mam is cause you told me one day now you're saying one week . I will not work for $8 or $9 not even train for that especially in the kitchen . And, she got aggravated and said okay we are not gonna get along. So, just don't come anymore . And, I said what ? I never disrespected you for you to tell me to not return when all the workers said I did everything right . She just didn't wanna pay me what I asked for . Even tho she's the one who was calling me .... And honestly it makes sense why they are always hiring . She's rude to her employees and that's not right . Not to mention , nobody wears GLOVES !!!! Which I was so shocked by . I was the only one wearing gloves and even they were shocked from it . Shouldn't be allowed in a kitchen to not wear gloves . And, they touch everything then go back and touch the food this is a FACT . So, if you ever get food poisoning you'll know why now

Country burger ... kinda disappointed heard good things about this place, waited like 15mins in the drive through , not worth the wait and it tasted grainy , very flat burger and small .

Country Burger is a close equivalent to Whataburger, and since there's no Whataburger close by, it works perfectly. This is a no nonsense hamburger, fixed any way you like it. French fries, tators or onion rings. What more can you ask?

I hadn't been here in years and it's changed a lot, they look really old school and have a bunch of Selena stuff and games. I ordered and the food was ready fast and it wasn't very expensive. We took it home, the burger was a Texas double chilli burger and was huge, it tasted really good. The fried came in a cup and looked really cool but were just okay. I'd definitely go back.

Nothing like having a real hamburger cooked on the grill was very delicious and juicy fries were great your drinks a little expensive but overall it .. they love Selena over here they've been here since the 70s. I love it drive-through is horrible but worth the wait

I usually love country burger but I paid for a double meat and double cheese, was given a single and single hearted ruined my whole day. It was during my work break so i couldn't go back.

Love this place! I come here probably weekly, and they are consistently great. There's usually a line for the drive thru (doesn't matter the time of day), but they get people through the line pretty quickly. Customer service is excellent. Always friendly. I usually get a cheeseburger and fries, and it always hits the spot

Shout Out to my Country Burger Family!!! I've eaten at this joint ForrrrEverrrrr!!! This is what you call a true Hood Gem or A STAPLE OF THE COMMUNITY!!! This place is Rich in History and Flavor at the same Time!!! I actually work right across the street from it and Have to constantly fight myself from walking over there and Fulfilling my FAT BOY CRAVINGS too many times a month. They have a Vaste menu of options to choose from. Fries, Tots, Nachos, WITH CHILLI & CHEESE. Frito Pies, Meat Pies, Fruit Pies & More. But the main thing here... The BURGERS & SANDWICHES and the always for certain fact that your FOOD WILL BE FRESH!!! I personally dont eat beef anymore so I always get A Chicken Sandwich BUT from what I can remember as a child and still know is that THEIR BURGERS are a force to be reckoned with!!! Today I had the Grill Chicken Club Combo and I LEFT FAT & HAPPY!!! P.S... Let me say if you are a Selina fan as I am growing up loving This Woman & her Family. They have Soooooo much Selina Memorabilia its Satisfyingly Beautiful to See!!!

If you are looking for hand made patties from fresh ground beef, or freshly cut fries from fresh potatoes then this is not the place for you. Everything is frozen and dropped in the fryer when ordered. This is your basic fast frozen food.
