Country Club Lima Hotel - Hotel Review | Condé Nast Traveler

"Built in 1927, the Country Club Lima Hotel has long been the go-to stay for visiting heads of state. From its historic architecture, to the collected antiques and artwork housed throughout, the entire estate oozes sophistication with an elevated country club aesthetic. Its 83 rooms have been updated so that their traditional, colonial style—think dark mahogany furniture, high ceilings, and ornate headboards—is complimented by modern amenities, like a whirlpool bathtub in some rooms, and designer toiletries. Plus, the property, which is located in the upscale business district of San Isidro, has a full-service spa, small plunge pool, gym, 24-hour business center, and a lobby bar that serves what some say are the best pisco sours in the city."

Customer service and hospitality at this hotel are top-notch. The room was impeccably, cleaned and staged. The linens were crisp and comfortable. Bath sheets were plush and very absorbent. My suite was impressive and cleaned daily. I especially enjoyed the aromatic bubble bath with lit candle. One hiccup, the hotel hosted an event on the last night of my stay, an inconvenience which might have been avoided had I received advanced notice to facilitate necessary accommodations.

Amazing experience, huge comfortable room and patio, and friendly, courteous staff. My husband and I felt like royalty the whole time. The fitness and pool area are small but worked well. The lobby is stunning. Everything in our room was perfect. The spa was beyond luxurious and I got the best massage I’ve ever had!

This is your classic luxury hotel, where everything is perfectly done. Fresh flowers in the lobby, friendly and professional service, beautiful rooms and turndown service. We were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine upon arrival. The restaurant was delightful with beautiful china and the service was perfect. There is nothing more that you can ask for here. However, note that there are 2 sides to the hotel: a quiet side and a noisy side. My room was on the quiet side and I had a wonderful stay. My friend’s room was on the other side of the building which overlooks a children’s hockey field. The field is covered which creates an echo, and the kids start screaming at 6:30 am and they continue screaming all day until 5:30 pm, so be careful about which room you book because we had two different experiences.

An absolute must stay when in Lima experience. A great, grand, old-school hotel with a calm and peaceful atmosphere. Elegant and casual, never pretentious, this hotel is probably one of the best I have stayed in. As charming as the people who work here, the Country Club Lima Hotel has an excellent restaurant with delightful indoor and outdoor dining, with a menu full of incredible and delicious Peruvian cuisine. Everyone on the floor and in the kitchen will do whatever they can to satisfy your taste buds for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Room service is also splendid, and staff are excellent. Housekeeping and laundry services are available and are also as good as everyone else in this great hotel. If you're visiting Lima, you simply must visit this hotel.

Everything about this hotel is truly exceptional — from the service and cleanliness to the amenities, it’s a solid 5-star experience. However, there’s one major drawback that really impacted our stay: directly behind the hotel is an open-air sports complex, just about 15 feet away. It’s active from 8 AM to 11 PM daily, with loud basketball games, shouting, and children screaming throughout the day and into the night. Unfortunately, the noise travels easily, making it hard to relax, especially in the evenings even with outside double doors closed. The hotel is otherwise wonderful, but they really need to find a solution to this issue — soundproofing, scheduling limits, or at least notifying guests in advance would make a huge difference.

The hotel is lovely and elegant, with well appointed rooms and a great breakfast. The staff are friendly, with Eduardo and Juan Carlos from the concierge team being especially helpful! The gym, pool and other public areas are quite nice, and the restaurant offers a great meal at a reasonable price. If looking to get out of Miraflores and stay in San Isidro for a quieter experience, this is the best option.

This is a beautiful, historic hotel. Unfortunately our room was located in the basement in the newer section of the hotel with essentially no view. We had to have a dehumidifier in the room, which was nice, however it was never emptied by the staff. Our first night we awoke to beeps from the unit because it was full. From then on we emptied it daily. The room was spacious, modern, clean, quiet, and the bed comfortable. ||Mario Meza the concierge was excellent. He helped us with so much - some complicated transportation logistics and information regarding Lima. He genuinely reached out to get to know us. Thank you Mario.

Very nice hotel in San Isidro, close to the golf club. Excellent service, nice and spacious rooms. Offers everything a five star hotel should have. Nice and safe neighborhood (even at night) walking distance to Astrid y Gaston (excellent restaurant).
