Country Club Lima Hotel

We enjoyed this hotel very much. It has a warm feeling and the housekeeping is very good -- the rooms feel very clean. The location is a bit off the beaten track, however, we were easily able to go to dinner and to visit Miraflores and Barranco (but further from the central region. For us, this was a plus. Breakfast was nice - lots of people but also lots of space. They had a lively bar (we did not experience it but it looked like fun).|The one big issue we had was that we were checked into a room in which the AC was broken - it was very frustrating because we did not realize until we had finished unpacking and about to jump in the shower. It was particularly frustrating because the AC was set to 13 degrees so that means someone was aware that the AC was not working and checked us in anyway. We had to change to a different room with AC that worked. Changing rooms cost us alot of time and so were nearly late for our dinner at Central. The other frustrating thing was that the second room did not have a balcony or a nice view of the golf course (although it had a very nice Jacuzzi and a living room). The balcony turned out to be a big loss for us since my son was sick and I had to stay in the room with him -- it would have been very nice to have had the balcony to sit... Lastly, the second room was also much noisier since it was close to the service station and the elevator. The hotel did send a note to us with some cookies - however, overall this was a big deal for us and I think at a fine hotel, it should not be allowed to happen.

Our favorite part of Lima was staying at this hotel. They were incredibly accommodating. The hotel itself was clean, organized, and had lots of little touches. The breakfast was also delicious, noticeably better than most hotel breakfasts. Would return for sure!

The amenities are all extra, e.g. they promote their Spa, then tell you on-arrival that its not included, the pool was only half full of water and tiny, the hotel itself is dated. Transfer from airport costs 70$, other hotels pick you up without charge. Food is heavily overpriced and portions are small.||In a two day stay 1 day was without internet, in the night also power outage. They claimed it was an ISP outage, but after hours i unplugged the VoIP phone and used cable. Ridiculous.||For comparison: We had a stay for 3 weeks in a Costa Del Sol stay (Arequipa) which was much more pleasant than this 5 star hotel where the SPA and transfer was included.||Stay away from this hotel, waste of money. You get much better value for your money in other hotels with better service.

Beautiful hotel. Room was spacious and comfortable. The staff is exceptional. The concierge Mario went out of his way to help us on numerous occasions. His English is close to perfect and he is very knowledgeable and friendly. My only complaint about the hotel was the dining room. The food was from good to excellent, but the service was painfully slow.

The welcome, the service, the attention to detail, the food, the ambiance, the room, the breakfast…..can I just generalise and say that everything was perfect, thanks that’s so much easier. All the staff were so friendly and so helpful, my Spanish is quite terrible and I needed to contact our next hotel in Cusco, I asked concierge if they could assist and one phone call to the hotel and Eduardo has resolved my dilemma in a matter of minutes. This is ranked as one of the best hotels in the world, and so it should. If we ever go back to Lima, this will be the only place to stay.

Beautiful hotel. Location not so great for tourists. Shops, laundromats not close by. Supermarkets ~12min walk. Great service from the staff. Good breakfast options. 6 -7 types of juices! Huge room and large bathroom that could easily have fitted a double basin. The room (364) was odd in that the windows were made of opaque glass...can't see anything through them. Can't open them either. Wonder what's on the other side.

We spent several nights at the hotel. I would like to give special recognition to the porter Eduardo who was exceptionally polite, helpful with directions within the building and has a warm smile. We enjoyed being in a historical site with exquisite architecture and artwork. |Nancy

Incredible hotel, stunning and elegant! Very luxurious feel to it. Great breakfast and rooms are very spacious and comfortable. A great pick for your time in Lima!
