Pies to die for!! 😋 The YouTube reviews are spot on, they are the real deal, and the pies are spectacular. Superb range of gourmet and plain meat pies 🥧. So many to try! Challenge accepted 😎 Sat down to relish in the delightful pork pepper pie and lamb ragu with a sausage roll chaser and a hot pot of tea on a chilly Saturday morning. Watched an endless stream of people come and go with boxes and boxes of takeaway pies, and a whole array of even tastier sweet treats 🥳 So we took home a box of gourmet pies too. Love it. Highly recommended

Definitely worth the 40 min drive for the pies and dessert. We had the plain meat pie and curry scallop pie, both pies were good but i absolutely loved the scallop pie, they are very generous with the scallops, and they are decent sized scallops not the baby scallops. After trying scallop pie in Salamanca Market in Tasmania, never found another place in Melbourne that made pies like they do in Tassy! Also tried their award winning vanilla slice and strawberry matcha slice, love how it’s not overly sweet, perfect balance of the custard, crispy pastry and icing is not too thick like how other bakeries make it. The strawberry matcha slice is not overly sweet.

For an establishment thats caked with awards all over the walls, the people visiting like us couldn't really figure out there is one entry and one exit point across the venue. We waited in line for about 35 mins then ordered 4 pies to taste test: Steak & Truffle (S&T), Chicken Satay (CS), BBQ Beef Mac & Cheese (BBQBM&C) and Beef Chilli Cheese & Jalapeno. Each pie was ok, the winner for me was Beef Chilli Cheese and Jalapeno. The spiciness was perfect as I'm a Chilli addict and it was just right! The Pastry was average for each pie. Steak and Truffle was a close second with an amazing combo of steak, mushrooms and onions in a le roux styled sauce filled with truffles. The Chicken Satay was average with no real chicken at all until I was at 75% of the pie. Last and really average was the BBQ Beef Mac & Cheese pie, all Mac and cheese with no real flavour and minimal BBQ Beef which the pics actually show too. Great concept but not very well executed sadly.

This town’s best pie shop offers a wide variety of flavours, with occasional limited editions that are always a pleasant surprise. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the dining environment is cosy and inviting. It’s definitely a place worth revisiting.

Google
Right - you’re looking at a steak and truffle pie plus a butter chicken pie. These were absolutely insane and I can’t recommend them highly enough. The hardest part was the choice out of what others to get they all looked good. One bit of feedback though was that guys, we spent $40 on pies please in the middle of winter can we sit inside? There’s a whole restaurant empty with about 6 seperate groups huddled outside because you “just mopped” - just mop again when your closed for a better customer experience bit of a no brainer it was pissing down with rain as well. Still not enough to annoy me and not give 5/5 star id give 6/5 if I could

Due to unclear signage I didn't know some things are self service. So I was sent to the back of the line to grab my own sandwich and could wait some more. Coffee didn't taste good and was piping hot, even though I ordered 'warm' and specifically mentioned I didn't want it hot. Staff doesn't seem to care very much. Very average, over priced bakery.

Dropped in for a pie and coffee at this establishment, highly recommend the cheesy truffle and seafood pie, weren't stingy with the scallops and prawns in it, my partner had the cheese and bacon pie and she rated it nice. Had the baked lemon tart and partner had a piece of death by chocolate cake, both were very nice.

Tried the meat pie — not bad, not amazing, just right down the middle. The crust was decent, though a bit dry, and the filling had some flavor, but nothing that really stood out. Felt like it wanted to be great, but settled for “okay.” Would I eat it again? Maybe, if I was hungry and it was nearby. Would I go out of my way for it? Probably not. Good if you’re not picky — but if you’re a meat pie connoisseur, you might leave slightly underwhelmed.

Yelp
This place asked a Seeing Eye Dog to leave..... will not be going back. Use to be a great place to go for early mornings coffee and cake but think new owners have changed stuff up and now the kids refuse to eat the pies
