Little Ripper Is LA’s Coziest Wine Bar in Glassell Park | Eater LA

"Though it closed in February, chef and owner Johnny Lee is honoring the deli’s signature Hainan chicken recipe with a T-shirt emblazoned with the poaching technique; shirts can be ordered via Toast and picked up this Saturday from the former Pearl River Deli space in Chinatown, along with branded steel cups, artwork, and other items for sale." - Mona Holmes

The food is always delicious, it's made fast , they've never messed up an order & the prices are reasonable , but the service is deserving of 10/10. The owner George is a great guy & the woman who works the register is an absolute angel! I ordered lunch for a lot of guys and the job & sometimes I'll forgot something , she actually found my number & called me back a couple times to confirm / correct my order. Extremely thoughtful & caring very much appreciated!

The food here is absolutely delicious! I love going for breakfast, and they also have great options for lunch. They even do catering. The staff is incredibly friendly and kind—when I had my baby in one arm, they insisted on helping me carry my coffee to the car. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare these days and makes this place extra special! Their prices are also very reasonable too!

George, family and staff are wonderful people making good food at a reasonable price. It’s spotless. And the owner is an Arsenal fan, so he’s the best.

Classic deli, wonderful people, delicious sandwiches. We stopped in for lunch after working outside all day and had wonderful conversation with the owner sharing details about our lives. Lovely place, only wish I’d that they had more bar seats. <3

I normally never write reviews, but this place is awesome! The owners, George and Angie, are so friendly and maintain great, personal relationships with their customers. They offer such a wide variety of food options from cold cuts to hot dishes, you can really never go wrong. Every time I've gone it's been fast, high-quality service. Never disappoints.

Good food, friendly people. Nicely situated, plenty of parking. Outside tables. Not open in evenings.

Yelp
Went in here today for the first time. I ordered a turkey with bacon, American cheese, and avocado sandwich on a bagel with an iced tea. Sandwich was decent nothing special and this meal cost me $20. I get this sandwich often at other places and have never paid more than $15 including my drink. RIP OFF, I will not be returning.

Yelp
The Nauraushaun Country Deli has been a fixture at the bottom of Orangeburg Road in Pearl River for a very long time. My first visits to the store were about 1959, but at that time it was known as "Sam's", owned and operated by Sam Kennedy who lived about a block away. I attended the Nauraushaun Elementary School which was directly across the street, from kindergarten starting in 1961, until fourth grade. Memories of Sam's include buying Monster cards as often as my allowance would allow, wax lips, candy cigarettes, balsa wood gliders, Turkish Taffy, popsicles, Yoo-Hoo chocolate drink, and Bazooka bubble gum. My father would get the New York Times there every Sunday, and he used to send me to the store with 35 cents to buy him a pack of cigarettes when I was age 8 or 9. They sold them to me because they knew the cigarettes were for my father. Chesterfields I think. By then the store had changed hands and was known as "George's". The country store was a hangout for kids of all ages from elementary to high school, but no trouble ever took place. I have nothing but fond memories of that little country store. Long after moving from Pearl River, I returned to find the store still operating in 1998 in much the same condition, but by then it was more of a deli selling meats and sandwiches too. I'm happy to know that the store still remains in operation today, as it has been for more than 70 years. It's a place from my childhood that I will never forget.

Yelp
The food is great and they keep the place clean but they close it before it's supposed and they lose some customers sometimes due to them closing before hours.
