"Country Mile is coming to Watertown, focusing on healthy food without being branded as 'health food'. The cuisine will prominently feature vegetables, grains, and local seafood. The presentation of the dishes is described as minimalist, random, and almost anarchistic, without the overuse of flowers. The restaurant is built and designed by Matt Sargent, with Nancy Sargent running the front of the house. The drink selection will focus on local beers and classic cocktails, with a unique selection of bourbon, gin, and mezcal." - Terrence Doyle

Small space filled with love. Food changes consistently, because it is fresh, local, and sustainable. The wine menu and beer menu is amazing, always something different or funky. Super accommodating, and they make the most of what space they have! Common knowledge to expect a wait on Thurs-Saturday night. And not a quiet date night of course. But the cocktails absolutely make it worth the wait ;) Not to mention this place has been written about by everybody who is somebody! Check out their Instagram for some veggie inspiration.

Love love love this place! Amazing service, delicious food and drinks, adorable farm to table restaurant. Dishes are intentionally on the smaller side so that you can try a number of different things.

Ok. We have been waiting for this restaurant for months. We live down the street and this place is just bad. The tables are way to close together and the bar crowd is vulgar and inappropriate. The service is very slow 30 plus minutes between plates. And the worst part is we ordered 2 hours ago. Why waste your time.

Great new location that I'm sure will grow into a local destination. The space is intimate and cozy. The restaurant has clearly listened to feedback from reviews and such as the critiques in other reviews (loud music, etc) were fixed. Small plates (not tapas small) were well-portioned for sharing and had a wide variety of local fare. Excellent flavors, bold and brilliantly complemented. Clearly a skilled chef behind the counter. Cocktails are on the more expensive side but with high quality ingredients from small local producers. Great beer list. The glassware was unique and a nice rustic touch. Staff were attentive and efficient. Overall, I'll definitely be back and will be recommending it as well.

I watched this place being built, so I was pretty excited to check it out. They specialize in locally sourced food, and the menu selection was mostly vegetarian. I actually preferred the vegetarian dishes. The drinks were also very good. Overall, a bit pricey, but as long as I'm not eating there every day, I think it's a great treat. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, as were the staff.

Every single dish was exceptional - we savored each bite and deciding on our favorite dish at the end of our meal was incredibly difficult. Cocktails were great and just as advertised - made classic, with booze forward and not too sweet. Wine suggestion from Matt’s wife Nancy was delicious. Great service and elegant country chic vibe, with a warm and cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Country Mile has a small but really excellent menu. Everything is prepared well and really interesting. They change the menu quite frequently so it's always interesting and fresh. Local and other high quality ingredients make for a great dish, their rock shrimp was extraordinary and even their tomatoes are special. They also have a small but super interesting wine and beer list.

Fun, thoughtful food with excellent service! Front of the house remembered my name each time and got us seated quickly on a crowded night. The menu is a small plate concept. We ordered two vegetable-centered dishes from the top of the menu and two meat-centered dishes from the bottom of the menu. Definitely enjoyed the vegetables dishes more, demonstrating the skill and balance in concept and execution. Small-ish waiting area somewhat encroaches on dining area, but I suppose this is a "good problem" to have for a restaurant.
