Restaurant Slangevecht in Breukelen is definitely worth a visit! Parking is easy, which is always a plus. The ambiance is lovely, and in the summer you can enjoy sitting outside by the water – a beautiful spot to enjoy your meal. The dishes are well-prepared and flavorful. Everything tastes just right and matches the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant. For me, Slangevecht deserves four stars: a great place to relax, enjoy good food, and have a pleasant time!

A M A Z I N G !!! What a place. The location is absolutely stunning, like stepping into a postcard. The food was fantastic, and the risotto was honestly the best I’ve ever had. What really made it special, though, was the lovely lady who served us-so warm and friendly, she made us feel completely at home. 🥰 Just a perfect experience all around. Can’t wait to go back.

It was all a bit mediocre. The staff is mostly alright, but could be better on many points. We were with a group, 7 people at first, we all had a wine already. Our 8th person arrived and they totally forgot to ask him what to drink. The entire building looks like it's falling apart and also on the inside things started to break. There's moss on certain places, cutlery isn't always clean. The wine section is mediocre at best. The food was either boring but fine or interesting and not tasty. A lot of things are fine but you just expect better for the price. Can't recommend.

A long-wished lunch at Restaurant Slangevegt, Breukelen We hadn’t seen each other since November 2023, so meeting up was long overdue. To make it fair, we chose to meet halfway—us from Zutphen, Peter and Margot from Rotterdam. Seated by the river Vecht on a tropical summer day, we opted for the 3-course lunch menu. With the starters—veal terrine and marinated salmon—we enjoyed the organic white Parallèle 45 Côtes du Rhône 2024. For the main course, we all chose the fresh Dutch codfish, beautifully paired with the American District 7 Chardonnay 2022. The service was warm and welcoming, and each dish was a delight. More than just a lunch, it was a moment to reconnect, share thoughts, and celebrate a friendship that’s lasted for years—made even richer by culinary pleasures and sunshine. a blessed day, due to the effort of the team at restaurant slangevegt.

We had a 4 meal course, a la carte with 4 people. All dishes looked great and were very tasty. We had three different starters, and each of us felt we made the best choice. We were on a time schedule, and the team made sure that was met, without rushing or feeling any haste. Staff was very knowledgeable, relaxed and professional. We will definitely go back.

Good food. Great atmosphere in a summer evening. They care about your preferences for food. Wine matching was great.

What a lovely place for lunch during summer~ very chic & calm. The food is amazing, everything taste great and looking so lovely. Big & fresh oysters, pair with Riesling. The service was also very friendly~ Everything was perfect. 👍
