The 17 Best Restaurants Near Lake Chelan - Seattle - The Infatuation

"With a network of cross-country ski and snowshoe trails, Chelan is a vacation spot that’s good all year round. We could say the same about County Line—it's one of our favorite places to be after swimming all day in the summer or skiing in the winter. Kick things off with some shared plates, like the bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers with goat cheese or the BBQ pork bao. Follow that up with the ramen noodle salad or a bowl of smoked mac and cheese, and wash everything down with a pint of beer or cider from their selection of almost exclusively PNW-based taps." - carlo mantuano, emily burks

Google
My friends and I stopped in for dinner after a day of doing Taste Chelan. We ordered a hot toddie, bao buns, chicken Caesar wrap, soup of the day (corned beef & cabbage), and mac and cheese. We were all very happy with our food choices. The bao buns were unexpectedly perfect and the mac was creamy and cheesy without feeling heavy. Overall we were happy and will come here again next time we’re in the area.

Google
We were in the backyard and it was the prettiest view I have ever seen. The food was the best come here on your way to Chelan. If you don’t you you’re missing out😁 🤤

Google
Quality…fresh…attention to detail…service…all fantastic. Stopped here once while traveling, now been here five times. Best food and drink in town!! Did I mention the large selection of bourbons? They may have many quality beers, but the old fashioned and manhattan were superb!!

Google
The owner and staff are super friendly and accommodating! Food was fantastic as well! Update: They started using fresh noodles from the local pasta place for their smoked Mac and cheese...What a game changer! I got it with chicken and bacon. Absolutely to die for! Update 2: They now have a Cuban sandwich that is to die for!

Google
Food was ridiculously pricey for what you get. My chicken caesar wrap came with chips and was almost $20. Same with the gyros we ordered. It was tasty, but I’ve had just as good food for less. Really nice outside seating area tho! We enjoyed our time here.

Google
Sure! Here's a shorter version of the review with your key points included: --- **Rating: ★★★☆☆** Food and service were average, but we loved that the place was pet friendly. We were told about the automatic 20% gratuity for our group of six, which was fine—but the refusal to split the bill was very off-putting and made the end of the meal unnecessarily awkward. Good thing we had cash.

Google
Stopped in for lunch right after they opened to kinda had the place to ourselves. The staff was amazing. This place was awesome. Mixed drinks were great, as well as their food, which came out very quick after ordering. Update : year after year, still our go-to. great service and food as always.

Google
If you’re in Chelan, eat here! If you’re not, drive in to eat here! The menu is creative, and the food is well-prepared. I’m finicky about greens for salads - theirs are very fresh and appealing. Beer seems to be popular, but being bourbon drinkers we found the whiskey selection robust and respectable. We were super happy with the delicious Manhattans and Old Fashioneds. Locals frequent the place; it’s not touristy. The staff is friendly, efficient and very attentive. We live in CA, but when we find ourselves anywhere nearby, we make a point of staying in Chelan just to come here.

Yelp
Delicious menu, great service! Bring a towel and your pup can curl up in comfort. Definitely my new favorite! They served our family of 8 with style!

Yelp
Although I've been here a few times, I'm surprised I haven't left a review. Once again, a great experience. We came in with friends for County Line's St. Paddy's Day Special, corned beef sandwich. And yes, it was delicious. A great balance of flavors at a reasonable full service restaurant. Seating and parking can be tight, but the food and service is well worth a little walk and wait. Their menu is a mix of great bar food and the vibe is always energetic. To say the staff is awesome is an understatement. They shine in exceptional and fast service. I'll be back soon to try out the gyro sandwich. Be sure to look out for their Nomad Food Truck that offers their favorites at local wineries and events.

Yelp
This place did not live up to the hype. We checked in and were seated and the server tells us, "If you want, I can bring you a QR code menu or you can just look up our website". Lol, never been told to just look up the menu ourselves like that but ok? Drinks - My table ordered a Bloody Mary, margarita, and Tito's and soda. Bloody Mary was pretty good; came with a stick of beef jerky, salami, pickle, and olive. The margarita was not good. My friend couldn't finish it. The easiest drink, Tito's and soda, was also questionable where my friend couldn't taste any of the vodka. Service - When my friend went to the bar to ask about her vodka drink, she gave lots of unnecessary sass (same person who sat us). Anyway, I don't usually write bad reviews because I love to lift businesses up! But our experience was not a fun one, so I felt the need to share. The other servers were totally ok So I hope everyone else gets better service than we did.

Yelp
The service was great here- 5 stars! We ordered multiple dishes to share: Smoked Mac & cheese, House Hummus, Roasted Balsamic Brussels Sprouts, & Teriyaki Chicken Skewers. All these dishes were good, but not as great as the service, so 3.5 stars. The Mac & cheese could be a little creamier. The hummus had a huge garlicky kick (have breath mints ready), the sprouts could be cooked just a bit longer, & the chicken was small portions.

Yelp
Got the fries and cheesesteak from the food truck. $40+ for 10 dollars of low portion medium quality food. Absolutely do not recommend.
google avatar

Lori T.

Yelp
Of all the years we have been going to Chelan we never ate here. So this year we decided to try it. The Woodin Noodle Salad and the Smoked Chicken Caesar Salad were yummy. The staff was nice. The food came out promptly. The front of the restaurant is small, however, there is a back room. I didn't see how big it was though. I gave County Line 4 stars because the guitarist/singer was way too loud. It was hard to hear each other talk.

Yelp
We stopped here for some soup and warm drinks during a cold winter day. It was a nice intimate spot to stop to eat. The food and service were good and large portions.

Stephanie P.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this place. I ordered the French dip and the dip was inedible. It was heavily seasoned with black pepper. The Teriyaki chicken bowl was very salty and the Cesar salad was bland. On the positive side, the french onion spread was tasty as well as the toasted cauliflower. Unfortunately all the sauces for dipping were very thin and runny. Maybe it was an off day.
google avatar

Erin J.

Yelp
So delish! Our group tried several things and loved everything. For me, the stand outs where the blasted cauliflower, the noodle salad that came with an amazing salad dressing that had us devouring the bowl in seconds. Also the Buratta salad was perfection. The cheese was creamy deliciousness. Yum! We didn't dine in but the woman that took the order over the phone was great. She explained in a professional and friendly way that they were very busy and do their best to get our order out quickly since we may wanted to pick it up. This will definitely be on the list for us to go again next time we visit Chelan!

Yelp
Anytime a restaurant serves high quality healthy options, there should be a celebration. Most restaurants take the easy route of making only high fat, high sugar entrees, which are easier to produce with a high deliciousness hit rate. However, after eating a delicious burger and fries, the patron will generally have to forcefully pat their heart to unclog the arteries then be forced to sit down for the next hour, waiting for the rush of sugars and fats to finish pulsating through their body. That is the best case scenario. Worst case, the food tastes bad and you still get the unsavory side effects. County Line, on the other hand, has some high quality healthy options that both taste good and leave you feeling fresh after the meal. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Bowl and my wife got one of their many salads. If we returned to Chelan, we would go to County Line again. After placing our take out order, we walked towards the well maintained downtown area, where the streets were blocked off to host their old car show. This was a pleasant surprise and gave us our 20 minutes of entertainment while our orders were put together.

Yelp
Decided this was the best place for a birthday celebration dinner, it was absolutely delectable! Started with the jalapeño poppers as the appetizer, worth it for the mixture of flavors (cream cheese, bacon, "secret" sauce). Following up with the cocktails of "The Last Word" for my boyfriend & mine "The Corpse Reviver". Both were contradicting in flavors; sweet n tangy for his drink & spiked sour for mine. Lovely! * For the food, we got a decent amount. 2 Ahi Poke Bowls, Smoked Chx Caesar Salad & a Caesar Salad. I wasn't aware tomatoes came on the salad but they were so generous to make another without charge as I'm allergic. * Overall fantastic when it comes to choices of seating. Inside and outside with friendly memorable staff. It's a little place most likely family owned. I would love to go again when I return to Chelan. * The prices are a little bit on the higher side depending on the items you get. However. Loved every second of my time there!!

Yelp
County Line understands exactly what it is - a pub that serves fun cocktails, good brews, and tasty pub grub that has a healthy bent. The chicken drums were tasty and crispy, and the Gyro and Caeser were fresh and flavorful. The meal hit the spot.

Yelp
3rd review of CL. They continue to grow on their already awesome establishment. I'm hungry for a gyro.

Anne N.

Yelp
After long day of hiking and being hungry we stopped at this cute roadside restaurant only to be extremely disappointed. We ordered Brussel sprouts which never came, no explanation why.We all ordered Chicken Teriyaki bowls. Which were swimming in Teriyaki sauce with slimy chicken and mushy rice. Needless to say after trying to eat couple bites we could not eat our food. Server never asked about the food which she could clearly see none of us could eat.Left the restaurant hungry and will not be going back or could recommend it.

D W.

Yelp
food was not good!!!! The Teriyaki chicken bowl, and French dip both tasted like bad fish. Service was pretty good and they have friendly staff. Prices are outrageous for the food quality and selection. If your going to go for beer and chips not a bad choice......
google avatar

Kristen B.

Yelp
I was really really really craving a Bloody Mary as I loved the Shot of Gratitude Mary. it was good but my friend said it tasted fishy.. Not sure if it had Clamato in it, I didn't ask but really just drank it as it was the most expensive drink and I needed the spice to help me over my hangover from the previous night. If it has fish or clam sauce it should be advertised but I guess I should have asked or ordered it spicy. In which I didn't .. ( why didn't I order it spicy I love spicy !!) Regardless the other drinks looked delicious and can't wait to try more. The caprese Grilled Cheese with a side salad and the soup was really really good. The salad was perfect and the tomato soup OMG! Can't wait to come back in the fall again for that combo.. It was extremely delicious 10 stars we both loved it. (Hence the five star review here ) Staff was friendly , service was a tad slow but we were fine just relaxing and not too hot yet. They were busy on a Monday at 230 which was nice to see, I want this business to do well the remodel is so cute and the menu looks great can't wait to try more items. I am a fan, I will be back !!!

Yelp
I just left a crap review for another restaurant so must balance out my review Karma by giving credit where it is due. We live 3 blocks from here and for some reason, I only just discovered how amazing the food is. It is the real deal, slow food, not like anything else in Chelan. We absolutely love love love the French Dip and actually went back the next night to order it again. We also tried a few shared plates. We both adored the balsamic roasted Brussels sprouts. And as everyone else has shared, that cold noodle chicken salad is AMAZING. When my friends come to Chelan and ask me where to eat, I will recommend County Line.

Jon P.

Yelp
Had a great time as a family. Good french dip and really enjoyed my banh mi sandwich. Nice cocktails as well, plus very cheery service.

Melanie A.

Yelp
This is a must in chelan! I will for sure be coming back every time I am in town because omg everything was so delicious. Especially the cold ramen dish! I'm still thinking about it.
google avatar

Heather J.

Yelp
Awesome unique menu and cool vibe. The service was great. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in Chelan!
google avatar

Dawn G.

Yelp
I loved the menu at this place but reality did not match. We stopped by on the way to a wine tasting to see about the wait if we came back later for dinner and they told us to call about 15 minutes before we were heading back over to see if they could accommodate us. When we did call ahead, the response was "there are two tables open now but I can't predict the future". Rude no matter what but worse when you told us to call in the first place. Got there and we were seated right away so that made things better. But then our waiter was super rude and condescending about all of our questions. Right before the food came out I was told they were out of rice for the ahi bowl. Out of rice??? I got a French dip instead which was fine but nobody else in my group liked their food. I felt a distinct dislike for anyone not "local" at this place. Yelp led me astray on this one, I do not recommend it.
google avatar

Marna K.

Yelp
This was a solid choice in Chelan for a dinner stop. They have indoor and outdoor seating and were very efficient but we weren't rushed. The drinks were tasty and our group with diverse dining preferences all found something hood to eat. I really enjoyed the tomato soup with a toasted caprese sandwich. It's worth a stop in!
google avatar

Michelle B.

Yelp
Love it here. We've been looking forward to this space re-opening after the old business sold and closed awhile ago. It was worth the wait. The decor and space is clean, relaxing and inviting. The attitude is friendly and they are family owned. The outdoor seating was comfortable. The only draw back was how loud it could get because of the traffic. We shared the BLTA with chips. The flavor was good. We felt welcomed and appreciated for coming in. If you like beer look into their Mug Club. It seemed reasonable and offered a discount on their food too.
google avatar

Ryan M.

Yelp
1.5 hours for food. Half of our family got tired of waiting and left. I wish we would have went elsewhere.
google avatar

Shawn M.

Yelp
First time visitor to the County Line. Ordered the smoked French dip, absolutely delicious. Friendly and attentive service for our group of six. The only thing to be aware is that for parties of 6 or more are no separate checks and a 20% gratuity automatically included. We were able to split the meal among 3 credit cards so that worked out fine. Would recommend and return again.

Carissa L.

Yelp
After a very long work week, it was wonderful to celebrate at my new favorite restaurant in Chelan. I wish I had a spot like you back home. The food, people, and selection of beer/wine/cider was amazing. If your in town, you deserve the experience of enjoying this restaurant. Cheers!
google avatar

Kelsey U.

Yelp
Simply put, this sh*# is good! Drinks, apps, and meals.... And the service was attentive and considerate. We had a brood with complicated orders, slightly cranky kids, and our puppy, and they made it a great experience- over a busy holiday weekend to boot! We all left better than when we came in. I had the gyro, which I have been skeptical of most places executing (the last one I had in the 509 was served cold). It was delicious. Hubs had the bahn mi and said the same. I had a bloody (meal in itself) as well as an Aperol Spritz (yummy- and I did mention it was a holiday weekend, right? #nojudgement). Ambiance was a great, chill outdoor/indoor vibe. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Country Line is an off the beaten path gem in Chelan. The food is great and so are the drinks. If you are looking for healthy options in Chelan, County Line is one of the better places for a fresh salad or interesting veggies. I wanted to give it five stars for food and friendly service, but the atmosphere is odd, so dialed back to 4.
google avatar

Michele W.

Yelp
Very glad we finally found this place. The food was fresh and fabulous. The staff were great. I will be back.
google avatar

Kristin M.

Yelp
This was a perfect place for what we wanted. Easy salads and a bowl of soup. Lots of outdoor seating and indoor seating as well. TVs inside to catch up with whatever sporting game was on. Only giving a 4 star because service wasn't the greatest. There was never a follow up check to see if we needed anything after we got our orders and we got our water refilled when we were ready to leave.
google avatar

Julie B.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about this place! Wine--delicious. Jalapeño poppers--fantastic. Woodin noodle salad--absolutely delectable! Carissa was a great server and knowledgeable about the menu. Didn't know it's Winter Fest this weekend, and there aren't many tables, but that adds to the charm. If you're in Chelan, you need to go here!
google avatar

Nancy W.

Yelp
Ok...you want a weak ass drink or a REAL ONE?!?! Great ambience and so much fun! Staff is phenomenal!
google avatar

Sheri D.

Yelp
I don't agree with the stars on restaurant - I expected good food. We arrived and inside the musics was so loud we asked to go outside. Seating outside was loud - does Chelan not have ordinances for loud cars? We ordered the beef dip sandwiches to go only to get chewy, course roast beef. Staff was great - good so not!
google avatar

Kay J.

Yelp
Love their fire pits and outdoor tent seating. Have tv and music in tents. Super cozy and great ambiance with the fire pits. Great craft cocktails and impressive tap list. I LOVE the poke bowl, I was nervous about ordering it.. I moved from Maui and am a poke snob, but was so happy with it!! I've been back again for it. Great service! Pro tip: the tent in the back side is a bit quieter from road noise than the front.

Julia L.

Yelp
Really good food, large menu. Sadly no fries but everything was delicious! Would come again. I got the poke bowl, my friends got the Mac and cheese, and Caesar wrap they loved it all! for drinks we did Moscow mule and a cocktail called day drinker.
google avatar

Matt H.

Yelp
This place took over " shot of gratitude", and it's fantastic!! Probably some of the best rare tuna and sticky rice I've ever had! Truth. Great spot to check out while in lake Chelan
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
Just what I was looking for today! Great beer selection; great food; happy, chill environment. I had their poke bowl which was fantastic and one of their beers on tap. Will definitely be back when I'm in Chelan again.
google avatar

Katie B.

Yelp
Wow! Excellent dinner and wonderful service. We enjoyed the Sesame Crusted Seared Ahi, smoked beef French dip and perfect little salad. Of course had a Tito's dirty martini and beer. Every bite was fresh and flavorful! We will definitely be coming back for more!
google avatar

Rendi P.

Yelp
This is perhaps the best restaurant in Chelan. Food is very good and the atmosphere is perfect - definitely a more local vibe than touristy. Love the live music outdoors. Pet friendly on patio/outside. Our new favorite spot in Chelan! Yum. Yum.

Sylvia D.

Yelp
County line is simply the best! Always has the best food and drinks. Staff is amazing! Love love love it

Pam M.

Yelp
Food was great, the hummus plate was amazing! This was our first stop in chelan and it didn't disappoint.
google avatar

Charissa N.

Yelp
This place is legit!! The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. Their drinks are very well made and the food is just, yummy!! We had the Poke bowl (pictured), wowza! We also had the bacon wrapped dates, Goat cheese stuffed jalapeños and grilled artichoke. All their food and drinks were on point!

Mordecai K.

Yelp
Had the french dip & gyro both were delish!! Nice beer & drink options, friendly staff. Bartender Pat knew his craft well, cooks put out great food for a smaller place
google avatar

Malia C.

Yelp
We were excited to try this place out on a recent trip to Chelan. Unfortunately, there was nothing good about it. The service was terrible and they were not understaffed. We had a rotation of three different servers and non of them asked how our food was or if we wanted a drink refill. The food was awful. The cook had a heavy hand on the sauce over my poke bowl and the sandwiches others in my party had were soggy. Drinks were nothing special and the outdoor space we sat in had flies everywhere. The next visit to Chelan this place will be a pass.

Spencer H.

Yelp
The food was great and they had a good selection of wine. The patio was really nice and a comfortable place to sit at. Our server Ethan was really nice and talkative in a good way.

Melisa D.

Yelp
My husband and I were in town for Memorial weekend stopped in for a cocktail one night great atmosphere...Ethan was our server he was funny and attentive drunks were great! So we returned the next night the entire staff was wonderful and yes we got to enjoy Ethans good personality yet again along with more wonderful nothing bad to say about this place. Definitely worth stopping in for a bite to eat, drink and great over the top service :)

Savannah R.

Yelp
I have mixed feelings about this place! So I'm going to rate it by category. Our server was kind and helpful, and admittedly swamped with the Monday night crowd. She handled everything great. I felt bad about asking for a new cup (our wine cup was covered in dry grime) but she grabbed us a new one right away. Although we did receive a new glass, it still felt a bit grimy, and that didn't make me feel the best about their method of sanitation. Social distancing was enforced-ish, so we grabbed a high table in the patio corner, which was furthest away from the other tables. Having been my first outing to a restaurant in over a year, I felt fairly comfortable with this. The food and drink is what brings the most mixed reviews, and I'm gonna give that a 6.5/10 rating. What I can say, is that their French dip is delicious. The other members of my party agreed that it was the best out of the dishes we ordered, so we all ended up sharing it. The cocktails were strong, and I personally enjoyed my Whiskey Sour very much. I do appreciate that this restaurant is open on Mondays, as most other local restaurants appeared to be closed for Monday dinner. I would visit again if I'm ever back in the area, although I would aim for a less busy time.

Merridy R.

Yelp
If you're tired of burgers, pizza, and typical bar food, then this is the place for you! Food is excellent. We had the Ahi poke bowl and the Woodin Noodle salad. Have also had the chicken shawarma bowl before; all are fabulous! Fresh ingredients and great use of spices. Drinks are also great and staff super friendly.
google avatar

Alyse A.

Yelp
Meal was great, cocktail was perfectly balanced, outdoor seating was super comfy, 10/10 experience. I had the beet salad which was phenomenal and the gyro which had a bit of a kick and was great. I will be recommending this place to anyone visiting the area
