That means East Cambridge was quite the seafood hotspot in the early part of the 20th century - you might have had a hard time finding alcohol back then, but it sounds like mussels were falling out of the sky. Courthouse differentiates itself from New Deal by also having a restaurant next door (which serves fish and chips, chowder, and… fried chicken?), and a selection of linguiça from the owner’s Portuguese homeland. My husband bought these fish, this is the third time buying from them. I don’t know what happened this time, but it looks like the fish wasn’t well cooked, and it’s like they’re in a rush . Only they get to see the size of the fish, we don’t see it. And they told my husband the total was $87 and when he went to pay, the cashier asked for $93.66. My previous experiences were better than this, knowing that they’re the same staff.

If you’re looking for fresh fish to cook GO HERE! My mom got fresh red snapper and large head on shrimp. She was very satisfied with the freshness and quality. Also the staff was pleasant. Like you, I use Google reviews to find places when I’m not familiar. My mom was asking for a fresh fish market and I took her to a few spots I found while searching Google and she didn’t even last 2 minutes inside because their fish wasn’t fresh. When she didn’t come right out after 5 minutes HERE I knew we hit the jackpot. Courthouse Fish Market is IT!

Spring through fall, I work as a fisherman. Extremely picky when it comes to cuts. On land, Courthouse is where I go for high-quality freshness. They're the real deal. Outstanding service to boot. Also: the owner did me a huge favor when I needed a gift certificate, and the restaurant was closed. Despite being super busy, he stepped away to open up next door to get me the GC. And he was so pleasant about it. 5☆ business and fresh-fish operation.

Outstanding fish market! I come as often as I can. The fish is fresh and flavorful, with many options, and the guys behind the counter are helpful and friendly. I've also been enjoying all the Portuguese treats in the fridge -- the chourico and pork spreads and cheese -- and I have purchased delicious (frozen) rabbit a few times.

I get sashimi quality fish here, every other week since covid. It's absolutely great, the scallops and the wild salmon melt in your mouth! The two guys are super friendly and the price are really competitive, especially for the area and the quality of things you get here. I cannot recommend it enough. Go try it yourself!

Great place to dine and shop. There is two parts to the establishment one side to have cooked seafood and drinks,the other for take home and cook,and the food is always fresh even the non seafood products with a good variety of dried herbs and spices to choose from and some vegetables pretty impressive for a seafood market, great place 🐟🐚🍷
