Courtside Food & Spirits Closes in East Cambridge After 76 Years | Eater Boston

"Originally opened by the owner's father in 1943, this family-run East Cambridge dive bar closed permanently on a Monday afternoon after a 76-year run when the building was sold to the neighboring property owner. John Alberts, who took over in the 1970s and is now in his seventies, said health issues affecting him and his wife helped signal it was time to leave the business. Over his tenure the bar became a local haven for sports fans and recreational team celebration and was especially known as a neighborhood destination for lively karaoke nights. Its shutdown is the latest example in a broader wave of longtime Boston-area dive bars closing or being repurposed, alongside spots such as Doyle’s, the Beacon Hill Pub, the Bus Stop Pub, and the Green Briar Pub." - Dana Hatic

Courtside Kicks gives off a really authentic, community-driven vibe both online and in-store. Their social media keeps me up-to-date with the latest drops and makes me feel connected to the brand, while their website is easy to use, even though it could use more stock and reviews. In-store, the experience is personal and laid-back, with staff who really know their stuff. I love that they focus on sneaker culture and cater to sneakerheads who are looking for exclusive releases. Overall, if you're into limited-edition kicks and streetwear, Courtside Kicks is a great place to shop, both online and in-person.

Sold me a fake rhude hoodie. I even asked the employee in store he assured me It was authentic, only to find out the design on the real item is completely different.
