Courtyard by Marriott Palm Desert

This was the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at. They have mold and had dirty laundry in the closet. We booked a king size room and walked into an over powering febreeze smell trying to mask mold and dog urine smell. We asked for another room and they very nicely said they would get one ready for us while we waited in the lobby for 20 minutes (front end staff were super nice). Only to go up to our new room that was used and dirty and still smelled like mold. Back to the front desk to wait another 20 minutes for them to find us a new room. This time they said it was a newly renovated room but they only had queen size and the hall carpet was ripped out so it was cement flooring. Got into the room that was definitely not renovated and had peeling wall paper. Totally disgusting old hotel with mold needs a complete remodel.

Good hotel but not amazing. Shower valve backwards and partly broken. Only one elevator! Nice looking hot tub and odd-shaped pool not good for swimming laps. Balconies. 24 hr fitness room shared with residence inn. Would be great if all the equipment were functional. At this point in time, almost 50% is broken in terms of cardio. Internet in fitness room is spotty.

Nice and comfortable space, and a good value for what it offers. What really stands out is the staff. Very positive, friendly, and helpful people, especially the women who work at the Bistro in the lobby. Everyone greets you with a smile, which is nice to see. Taking one star off because of the fitness center. Roughly six out of the eight cardio machines have "Out of Order" signs on them. Not that big of deal, as the hotel tends to have an older clientele that probably isn't working out a lot, but that's an area for improvement. Overall a great spot though.

My girlfriend and I were very happy with our stay here at Courtyard Palm Desert. The front desk staff James was very friendly and assisted us with the coin laundry as we were unfamiliar with the American coins. We really appreciate the hospitality and service provided by the hotel staff, especially James, whom I would like to praise for excellent service. Thank you so much for the help.

Terrific stay at the Courtyard Marriott Palm Desert! the location is excellent, the room was clean and spacious. Both check in and check out was easy and the staff was very friendly and helpful - I want to say a special thank you to James who was extremely helpful when I checked out - very patient and thoughtful. Highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel was a very pleasant stay! The front staff was courteous, location was fantastic, rooms were very clean. It is a safe place for single travelers or families. Nice and inviting pool area, plenty of parking, and Applebee's at the end of the property. There is a Starbucks inside the hotel but it i think its just basic drinks not the fancy stuff. There is also a little bistro for quick snacks. Many areas to walk your dog around the property which I loved! Several eats and stores a couple of blocks from hotel. I would definitely stay again!

Great bang for buck for Ironman La Quinta and ideal to have a mini fridge (since my diet was particular for the race) and a microwave that guests can use in the lobby. Jacuzzi wasn’t hot while I stayed but the manager came out and described what was going on and gave us a partial refund— customer service was top notch! Would stay again!

Walls are paper thin and elevator is super slow and congested with cleaning staff. Front desk people do not care. Fitness center is pretty good but that's about it. 2 star hotel with a 4 star name.
