Listen, this place is nice with a very friendly staff. The only complaint i have is that some of the beds are very hard, like sleeping on concrete. They definitely need to update them. Also, they allow pets and because of that our first room we were assigned smelled like wet dog. I am a pet lover and believe they are therapeutic. I think it is nice to be able to bring your pet but they need to be able to remove the smell. The staff was very helpful in getting us to another room with a much better bed. It appeared the room with the pet smell had just had the carpet cleaned, which is a good thing. Maybe they needed to allow more time for it to air out. It was very clean otherwise. As long as they update the beds, I would go back. The indoor pool was a nice bonus.

Customer service was wonderful at check-in, lobby is nice, and hotel seems to have been recently updated. Conveniently located near plenty of dining options and shopping. Charged $10 for parking, and I can’t understand why. There’s no valet and it is not a gated lot. The carpet at the door to our room was torn up creating a tripping hazard. Carpets felt damp/sticky. There was a dip in the floor in the middle of the room that gave when we stepped on it, making it feel like we might fall through the floor. The bathroom counter was dirty when we checked in, I cleaned it myself. Remote for the TV worked only sporadically. Upstairs neighbors were incredibly loud late into the night. Smoky/musty smell in the hallways. Upon check out, I stood at the counter for a few minutes while the front desk associate stood outside the door smoking. When he sat down to play on his phone while continuing to smoke, I gave up, checked out on my phone, and left the keys on the counter. Since we were staying at this hotel for less than 12 hours, I didn’t bother to bring any of this up to the staff; but if our stay had been any longer, I would have requested a different room, or left the property entirely.

Terrible hotel. All around bad. WAY overpriced. No where near anything you want to do in Pensacola. Poor management and no professionalism. Room had been quickly cleaned. Pool was freezing cold and water was dirty. Service at coffee bar was awful. The manager on Tuesday morning actually allowed a sewage truck (who said it would be at least 1/2 an hour until they were done) to be blocking our car at the front entrance; and did not do anything when we wanted to leave. Nightmare. Do yourself a favor and do not book there.

Google
Disappointing Experience at Check-In and Breakfast Upon arriving at the hotel, we had already called ahead to inform the staff we would be checking in late due to our long car ride. While the person on the phone seemed to understand, our experience at the front desk was disappointing. The man at the desk did not greet us or offer any kind of welcome—he simply asked if we were checking in and handed us the room key without sharing any information about the hotel, amenities, or even our room. The following morning, I went down for breakfast and was met with the same lack of hospitality. The staff was unkind and rude, making the experience uncomfortable and unwelcoming. We were really hoping for a relaxing and friendly stay, but unfortunately the attitude of the staff made us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued Marriott guests.

We stayed here for 4 days w our 2 grandsons traveling w my husband's work and this was an exceptional hotel. The pool was open til 11, they even had snacks out one day, the staff was amazing in everyway! The bistro breakfast was a disappointment but their wings and quedailla are excellent. The elevator moved quickly! Beds were clean and we had read a review from a mo th ago about their room having random insects due to a palm tree near the window but thankfully we didn't have any kind of insects in our room. We were comfortable thru the entire stay.

I booked my room 2 weeks in advanced and had a confirmation the room I picked was available. They decided to give it to someone else without even notifying me. I am a Platinum Elite member who booked it on Marriott's website using my status and the only way I found out my room was DOWNGRADED was from checking in on the app. I always check-in early so my room is ready and my mobile key is ready. They had no intention of even telling me my room was DOWNGRADED because they gave it to someone else when it was available when I booked it. The hotel knew there was a concern and did not call to speak with me and put out the fire. Thank you for NOT telling me within 24-hours of my arrival you changed my room so I had to go to another another hotel and pay the "oh you are arriving today" price. Thanks a lot... Marriott gave me 10k points for my inconvenience. Based on the other "most recent" reviews it looks like I am not alone...They claim the hotel is newly renovated but the reviews below definitely tell a different story.

Google
Very, very disappointed. We will not stay there again as there are many, many other options. First we had to pay a fee for parking. No free breakfast or free coffee. Bristol was very expensive. When we checked in I asked about breakfast and was told the hours, no mention that we had to buy at the Bristo . When we turned on the TV, “ no cable service” appeared on the screen. I tried several times to call front desk and always a busy signal. My husband looked things over behind the screen and finally discovered the problem. When I turned back the covers, I was shocked that the bottom sheet was soiled. Too late to have them come up and change the sheets. Placed towel on the bed and slept that way. I told them at the front desk as we were leaving the next morning for the day. We were staying 5 nights and I really did not want to stay another night, but was afraid we would be charged for the entire time if we did. There were 3 other hotels right by us. This is so not like you expect a Marriott to be. I am definitely going to try to get in touch with Corporate. Oh one more thing, kept getting knocked off internet. I had to use my cell phone to call front desk to let them know because the phone in the room did not work. Marriott has been out hotel of choice. Will recon side other options in the future.

I recently visited this location and had an exceptional experience. The staff did a great job meeting my needs and the GM, Elaine Zimmerman ensured the conference room was prepped and ready daily for me to use. If you’re ever in this area, you would do yourself a huge favor by staying here!

Yelp
This is not your Father's Courtyard Marriott. The Quality has gone! They charge $10.00 to park in their parking lot but don't really put that out in front, the bed's padding is so none existent I can feel the springs. The room appears to be refurbished and therefore was clean. I found it funny that they list a golf course, fireplace, hair dryer as part of their amenities....NOT! I wasn't looking for a fireplace or golf course but my wife expected them to have a hair dryer in the room. My wife called down to the desk and asked if they had one and was told they would check and call her back....NOT!! The room was ok, except there was no door where the sink is located and I won't stay here again. I don't like being lied to, stolen from, or have things misrepresented.

Yelp
Typical stay at a Marriott property. A little expensive, for one night at $300, but it could have just been the area since most of the hotels I looked at were priced somewhere around this level. The lobby looks to be in great shape but I think it's due to the hotel being as new as it is. The rooms were clean little small and dark but not bad. I got in late and left early so I don't have too much to report about the staff. My rating system consists of a 3-star being exactly what I expected and neither good nor bad. A 4 means something was extra special whether it was service, food, staff, etc., and a 5 means I was blown away. A 2 star rating was disappointing with no offer to correct the experience and a 1-star rating was terrible

Yelp
Seems like a nice stay with minimal extras. We stayed for one night, twice, on the front and back ends of a vacation. While the hotel does not offer many included extras they do offer an easy check in/out, paid breakfast, and a paid cafe/bar. The pool looked like your standard hotel pool. The parking lot is poorly lit, but there is ample parking. Proximity to Whataburger is 10/10. On the first one night stay, we did recieve a midnight complaint in which the front desk knocked on our door and stated that the people below us said we were "walking too loud" which was strange because we had been sitting on our beds for probably an hour or more at that time. Nonetheless, we were not running, jumping, or acting up, but when we were up we were just walking. You know, to/from the bathroom, to grab something out of suitcase etc. I am not sure if the ceilings/floors are thin or not well insulated.

Yelp
Came here, super clean and nice hotel however staff gave us a hard time for everything, room keys got locked everytime we left the building. Everytime we entered staff would re ask for ID, with our belongings being in the room. On the last day we were checking out getting ready to leave the room 12:03 and staff just blankly walked in the room without saying anything, while we were getting dressed to leave. When I was walking out I told her that was very rude and that'll I'll be reporting her, she said "do it" Dark skin chubby lady, with her hair looking undone and messy very rude !!! Please get better staff

Yelp
Stayed here on my way over to Baton Rouge. Let me just say it was way better than the reviews I had read. The beds were like sleeping on a cloud ( super plush ) and the tv was adjustable and very large so it made it easy to watch while in bed. The bathroom was larger than I had expected as well. The place had tons of parking. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is there was nothing for breakfast the next morning. I stay @ hotels 2-4 time a week allover the country & this was the first one that didn't offer anything. My only assumption is that by the time I made it out there whatever they had was gone @ 8:30 am.

Yelp
An excellent, clean, and modest suburban Courtyard. Just like my local Courtyard (I go in for the Starbucks bar), it's got a Starbucks express and light cafe menu for breakfast and lunch, in a well-appointed and spacious lobby. The room was very clean, if the building itself was somewhat on the smaller side (three floors, elevator is steps from the pool and steps from the desk and bar). It's very convenient for quick business trips, nothing elaborate, fitness room, business center, that sort of thing, with easy parking, a covered lobby entrance, and a nice market for if you're stranded here and need a quick to-go breakfast or dinner. I especially liked the sink OUTSIDE of the bathroom, where I can dry my hair without the shower humidity. The fridge and microwave are also always appreciated, even if the coffee pot was somewhat lacking. Would return, a solid Courtyard.

Yelp
If you're coming to Pensacola, sleep in your car or on the beach before you stay here. Unless they lower the prices to $25 a night. Even though I paid for two nights, I almost got up and left the first night because it felt so sketchy and trashy. This is an old ass jankie, sketchy hotel that they slapped a new coat of paint on it it didn't do much to refresh it. You know what they say, you can polish a turd all day long, but all you have at the end of the day as a shiny turd. Definitely not worth the money they are charging. Zero amenities.

Yelp
Great sleep here as beds and pillows were very comfortable and room nice and dark. Showers have instant hot water and hood pressure. Easy location; although, at night the driveway entrance could use more lighting. Near mall, restaurants, coffee shops, interstate... Staff are proficient and very personable and accommodating. Starbucks at your finger tips. A bench in the gym would be a welcome addition. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
My how I enjoyed my stay at this facility. Reasons why: -ease of locating (just .5 miles from the I10) -great location (centrally located to a mall & lots of other familiar retail establishments) -friendly staff (greeted with a smile & concern for my needs) -price (quite reasonable considering this was booked at the last minute) -amenities (the HOT TUB, the pool, the ice machine, the lounge area, availability of free breakfast & free managers dinner, happy hour, a "snack shop" of sorts). Additionally, the spacious, modernly decorated room was quite appealing to me & I loved the balcony (although it only overlooked the parking lot & I was on the 1st floor). Being a part of their Elite program afforded me a free item of choice upon checking in, how cool. This was a great stay & I'll remember to return when I'm traveling.

Yelp
We checked in today very skeptical about your construction. My wife wanted to go elsewhere even before we entered but the room was prepaid. It was ok until we returned after dinner an discovered absolutely no parking spaces because of equipment blocking all of one lot and several spots in front. Lauren, The front desk person threatened to cancel our reservation because we complained about no parking. She even said F you. I don't know what else I can say. Marriott will probably lose us as customers if they ignore this.

Yelp
Had the best time ever.... The best hotel i have stayed at since i have been coming to pencacol. I am a traving chef i am in town about once a month and have stayed in some rought places. Amanda at the front desk is so amazing and nina the room attendant made my stay the best.... I had a note from nina in the room that welcome me to the court yard. So from now on this is the hotel i will be visiting and recommended to everyone i know

Yelp
Very cool modern room with small patio. We loved everything until we pulled the blanket back to go to to sleep and saw huge poop stains all over the sheets. We were literally disgusted. Also the breakfast sucked, it was a tiny water bottle with like two hula of water and a cream cheese breakfast bar. Lol

Yelp
What a dump. I'm a big courtyard fan but this place is old, poorly run, and just sad. When I checked in they sent me to a room that smelled horrible and had some kind of large filter set up in the middle of the room blowing air. I went back down and was told that was the only room available and they could just take the filter out of the room. I refused saying the room smelled horrible so they sent a maintenance guy up who called back down and said that yeah, the room is not rentable. So they found me another room, took it from someone else, I guess. We walked into this one to see a roach running across the floor. If I could have found another room in the area we would have moved but looks like we're stuck here. What a disappointing evening and ruined trip.

Yelp
This hotel was probably the nicest my husband and I have EVER stayed in! The exterior of the hotel is so nice and modern as is the interior. The staff here are very friendly and greet you as you're coming in and going out! Although the restaurant is closed they did have to go bags made for people to grab and go for breakfast! I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. It's also 20 minutes away from Pensacola Beach, and is surrounded by restaurants and clothing stores.

Yelp
Located right off the freeway, my boyfriend and I stayed here overnight just to pass through Pensacola. It was convenient for its location since it's near a few gas stations and restaurants. This hotel is a lot smaller and the rooms are not as nice compared to other Marriott properties we have stayed at in the past. However, it was adequate for what we needed. We booked a room with a king size bed and found the room to be clean and tidy. The bed was comfy too. The best part of the room was that it had a microwave and mini fridge. Although this hotel offers free parking and free WiFi, they do not offer a free breakfast. The restaurant they have in the lobby was a bit on the pricey side. You can find much cheaper places outside of the hotel. Overall, we had a good stay. The staff were super friendly and always welcomed us when we walked through the door.

Yelp
Love this hotel! Super trendy and clean! Delish food in the bistro! Lovely , friendly staff!

Nicole T.

Yelp
I made reservations a long time in advance. checked in was greeted with soiled linen on pull out bed from previous guest. Just opening for Covid and you have remote in a bag but soiled linen. Over $1800 for 6 days and no piece of mind bc in my mind everything is dirty. Nothing was done but a room change we were not compensated!!!! Corporate did nothing

Yelp
Drove through town and decided to stay at the last minute. Suite was great! Service and hospitality were wonderful. Asked for recommendation for food and entertainment and was given a fantastic list of all the highlights. Would definitely stay again.

Larry S.

Yelp
Very outdated Hotel. I expect more out of a Hotel with the Marriott name on it Marriott Corp should make it a point to visit this property unannounced

Kevin G.

Yelp
First off thEy do not offer breakfast and when I asked about it I was told a lot of Marriott do not offer a complimentary breakfast. I travel a lot and this is the first one I have stayed at that does not. Now on to house keeping. One day when I came back to my room, my suitcase had been gone through! My pillow has been removed, my dirty laundry haD been put on top off my clean laundry and than the suitcase was closed. My medications had been rearranged. Once I found my pillow that had been stuffed into the closet area the mmy pillow case had been taken. I was promised it would be returned, it was not. Only while checking out did the clerk go and find it. I will never use this hotel again!!!
google avatar

Michael C.

Yelp
When judged against most other hotels in Pensacola , this place is tops for value and quality. The problem is with the general Pensacola market. With that note out of the way, I'll say the staff is wonderful and the indoor pool is a nice touch. Location is central(next to the mall) but utilitarian otherwise. As for negatives, I never quite figured out the hours of the cafe and the price was a bit on the high side (for what you get) but if needed I'd definitely stay here again.
google avatar

Yelp
Second time here. I was met by Rochelle when I walked through the front doors. What a wonderful person. She was extremely friendly and made me feel especially welcome. As for the room. Clean and fresh as I expected! Thanks.
google avatar

Erik D.

Yelp
Compared to what I've come to expect from Courtyards, this one is subpar. Looks like the hotel was recently renovated; new carpets, fresh paint, but the renovations didn't hide it's tiredness. The rooms were small. The desk small, chipped and beaten upon much like all the other furniture in the room, and the TV was inexpensive and could not display accurately the digital signal it was receiving (pixilation). On the other hand, the staff was very friendly, rooms were clean and the beds comfortable.
google avatar

Chandra W.

Yelp
Marriott always lives up to its reputation. Accommodations were to my expectations. The desk clerk on July 2nd PM shift was very warm and friendly. Thus type of service keeps me coming back to Marriott. That is why I am a Gold Card member and climbing.
google avatar

Judi R.

Yelp
Second stay and will never come back; lack of security, poor front desk assistance. I'm concerned for my safety!

Charles H.

Yelp
Why don't you have a full liquor bar? First time at a Courtyard without!? Would not have chosen you had I known this! Not pleased.

Paul J.

Yelp
Terrible hotel. Lipstick on a pig. I stay over 100 nights a year at Marriott properties and this experience was one of my worst ever.
google avatar

Macy P.

Yelp
Highly recommend this hotel! A comrade booked this hotel for a group of us several weekends ago, but due to a few last minute hiccups an additional room needed to be booked upon our arrival. Thanks to Andrew at the front desk, we were taken care of with no fuss. The additional staff between the night crew and housekeeping service were very friendly and accommodating. The only downside was that there was no roof accesses and the former whirlpool was covered over with concrete blocks. Never the less, you won't regret staying here.

Shanna D.

Yelp
My review is regarding professionalism. A recent reservation had to be cancelled due to covid. I had a confirmed cancellation at no cost but my card was still charged the full amount. No problem, booking.com says, that may happen but in a day or two it will reverse. I called that same day and was told the GM was not available, but they would call me in the morning. Never happened. I called at 5:30 pm and was told by the GM she would look into it and get back to me. Never happened. I received an email stating many mistaken facts. I asked for phone call not email, but never received it. Apparently there was a double booking and since I did not show, I was charged for the first night. I told them via email I was charge for the two nights, they credited me for one. I told them no thanks it is not my responsibility if there were double bookings, how am I supposed to know this? What if there were TEN bookings would I have had ten no show charges? Apperently so. ONE STAR to this nasty place because of communication, a total lack of understanding or desire to understand or see through what is.was going on. Don't know about the hotel itself. But from my seat, the two people I spoke with and then the GM, were very much not oriented towards customer service.

Lady J.

Yelp
I only knock off two stars because the carpet in our room was stained...very noticeable. Should redo carpet really soon. And there was a hair brush with hairs in it next to the bed on the floor. Housekeepers, ugh. But I ALWAYS bring my own disinfectant and cleaning supply with me when traveling. I never trust someone to clean thoroughly who has 20 other room to clean. Anyway... Other than that, customer service was great, indoor pool, accessible to interstate, and hotel is overall nice. The beds are sooooo comfortable!!! There is a fridge and microwave in each room. TV could be upgraded. I would stay here again if there aren't any rooms left on the beach.
google avatar

Wend S.

Yelp
It was nice. Clean. Good a/c. Just stayed one night so not sure about the cleanliness of the pool. I recommend it.

Kara Y.

Yelp
Update: Since my last review the hotel called me and honored the original price and reservation.
google avatar

Jonathan B.

Yelp
My favorite hotel. I wish I can live here and I'll be happy. Prissy but worth it for the weekend or before a flight. Good job Marriott, never let me down.
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
Giving 3 stars for staff, cleanliness and location. High price for room. $124 for 2 seniors and didn't include breakfast! Little bistro is very expensive.... 6 little chicken wings for 8.95, regular cup of plain coffee $2.50+tax. Nope..no free coffee here. I've stayed at less expensive hotels with nicer rooms and amenities for less. Hot tub was out of order. Credit card machine in bistro out of order. Did not use pool because it was so cloudy fear of overage of chemicals?? There's better places for less but if in need a decent place to stay.
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
Dirty, loud, and smelly. Compared to the other Marriott establishment (specifically Courtyard, for this review), this is by far the worst. The room smelled of cigarette, the carpet is dirty, the toilet was not working properly (chain link keeps falling off), and to top it off the AC is humming extremely loud. After a long day of traveling, a loud AC is definitely what I NEED! I asked the front if it's normal, response "Yes, just as long as it's cooling the room!" Thank you Courtyard Pensacola!
google avatar

Jim C.

Yelp
Best experience since we started our vacation. The staff made our stay a real pleasure and our room was 5 stars. Highly recommend this establishment to anyone.

Joseph W.

Yelp
After leaving another establishment due to the presence of bed bugs, I arrived at this Courtyard around midnight. Exhausted, I was greeted by the hospitality manager himself (who just happened to be off duty at that time). He offered me a discounted rate for the night, and was incredibly accommodating. The rooms are great. The TV is HD, the bathrooms spotless and the decor modern. I guess one thing to note is that the beds aren't particularly comfortable. But then again I am used to a memory foam tempurpedic mattress at home. However, it's never stopped me from feeling comfortable or losing much sleep. The lighting is a bit odd, with various lamps around the room, but in a way it's interesting and adds to the decor. Microwave and relatively large mini fridge. Great staff, clean place, can't go wrong here!

Garrett C.

Yelp
Well, gave it a second chance. After a slightly less than satisfactory experience last time at this hotel, the manager graciously offered us a discounted rate for another stay if we were to return. That was very thoughtful, and when it came time to stay in Pensacola again, we decided to give it another try. Unfortunately, I reserved my room, but upon arrival, they had apparently given my room away. I'm not sure if I'm just getting unlucky, or if I should cross this off my Pensacola options list. We are sitting in my car, getting pretty late, calling hotels, looking for availability, currently to no prevail. We might have to sleep in the car tonight.
