Best New Restaurants in Austin, July 2025 | Eater Austin

"This Italian American spot opened in early February with a few decades of hospitality experience. Hospitality group Tc4 & Co, which also operates Tony C’s Coal-Fired Pizza and Mighty Fine Burgers, Fries & Shakes, teamed up with the Ciolas, who tapped into their family recipes to craft a menu that features chicken piccata, pork chop Milanese and peppers, and short rib alla Genovese. It also has a lengthy wine list, primarily sourced from Italy." - Courtney E. Smith

Best Restaurants in Dripping Springs, Texas | Eater Austin

"In a kitchen led by chef Louis Ciola III, a Culinary Institute of America grad who worked in some of Austin’s finest restaurants, including Barley Swine, Hestia, Salt & Time, and the Commodore Perry Estate, the team cooks from a menu of Italian-American favorites from his family recipes. Expect dishes like chicken piccata, pork chop Milanese and peppers, and snapper livornese, along with freshly made pasta dishes such as butternut squash tortelli, cavatelli and sausage, and agnolotti Bolognese. Co-owner Tony Ciola curated the wine list, which is predominantly Italian. Inside is a throwback to Little Italy circa the 1950s, with a cream and brown checked tile floor, wood-paneled walls, and groovy green circular booths. The U-shaped bar is made of brightly polished wood and brass — a mid-century fever dream. Find patio seating outside with bistro-style tables and chairs. Takeout orders can be placed online. - Courtney E. Smith, editor for Eater’s Texas Region" - Erin Russell

Austin Restaurant Openings to Know This February 2025 | Eater Austin

"A family-owned Italian restaurant in Dripping Springs built around chef Louis Ciola III’s originals and family recipes that date back to 1949. The pasta is handmade and the vibe leans old-school, with plates such as meatballs, mozzarella sticks, pork chop Milanese, gnocchi alla vodka, and chicken piccata. The restaurant is from the TC4 and Co. hospitality group, which is behind Mighty Fine Burgers, Fries & Shakes, Tony C’s, and The League Kitchen and Tavern." - Courtney E. Smith

Austin Cocktail Bar Bosses Office Opens New Cafe Break Room | Eater Austin

"A new Italian-American restaurant opening this fall in Dripping Springs will be led by chef Louis Ciola III and will emphasize classic Italian-American fare without pizza. Expect pastas such as porcini mushroom ravioli in truffle cream sauce and agnolotti with bolognese ragu, entrees like chicken piccata and a pork chop Milanese with peppers, and shared plates borrowed from the group’s pizza concept (meatballs, Caesar salad). The drinks program will feature global wines with an emphasis on Italian selections." - Nadia Chaudhury

Google
5 stars all the way around. I’ve never had better pasta in my life! The service was incredible and they ensure a great experience. Lissy was our server and she was the best. I highly recommend checking out this restaurant. I will be back and telling everyone I know lol.

Google
This place was delicious! First, the bread is fresh and delightful. We sat at a booth next to the bar to watch the Sunday games. Ordered the meatballs and calamari. Both were good but the meatballs were the standout favourite. Absolutely get the handmade pasta - I ordered the one with lemon and parmesan (sorry to space on the name) and it was so flavourful and fresh. We had a little room for dessert and my lunch partner had the tiramisu. I had a latte - quite strong as I hoped and very good.

Google
It was a pretty chill spot. It was a bit empty. The mozzarella sticks were very tasty. My daughter loved the waffles. She said it was the best she’s had. I had the gnocchi vodka added chicken. Overall the food was tasty. Nothing that really caught my attention to say I would return since I’m not from that area. But overall good.

Google
10/10 recommend!! The food was phenomenal and the service was even better. Avery was so sweet/attentive and gave excellent recommendations on both wine and pasta. The taglioni al limone was sooo good. My friend had the chicken Marsala which was also amazing and ridiculously flavorful

Helen C.

Google
Wanted to check it out as menu looked great and nearby my office. Our server Denny was friendly and attentive. Calamari had a fantastic marinara & lemon aioli.😊 We both ordered an entree with another to spare. Thanks goodness because that was the favorite of the night ~ chicken marsala. Great mushroom flavor. The other dishes seafood fra diavolo was very light in flavor and not what I would expect. Pork chop milanese was sad too. Meat was bit dry and the overloaded with peppers that made it quite sour. Wouldn't order either of these again but would try other things. Cheesecake was good esp with graham crust.🍰

Google
I really wanted to like this place as it's close to home and it would have been wonderful to have something nice but the food lacked flavor. The calamari was a little rubbery and my fish dish was not good. I likely ordered the wrong stuff as I normally don't eat tomato based food so I would go back to try some other dishes.

Google
Absolutely great family meal from start to finish. Everything we ordered was on point. The gnocchi alla vodka was soft, rich, and perfectly balanced—not too heavy. The chicken parm was classic comfort food done right, and the prosciutto & burrata was fresh, creamy, and a great way to start the meal. The agnolotti bolognese really stole the show. The handmade pasta and rich, slow-cooked ragù with the quattro formaggio was incredible—easily the standout dish of the night. We finished with the chocolate olive cake and it was the perfect ending. Layers of chocolate mousse, frosting, Luxardo cherries, and whipped cream made it indulgent without being overwhelming. Great wines and beer on tap, solid menu, great execution, and a place we’ll definitely be back to.

Google
We ordered food for pick up and it was ready on time. We got ricotta and honey bruschetta, chicken marsala and tagliolini al Limone. The tagliolini al Limone smelled amazing with a hint of lemon. The pasta was fresh, light and tasty sauce. The chicken marsala sauce was delicious but the chicken was little overcooked and dry. We really enjoyed the ricotta and honey brushetta. The first bite with the basil was perfect. But once you end up eating the basil, the ricotta and honey feels heavy and almost ends up feeling like desert. Tasty nevertheless

Yelp
My coworker and I like to venture on a weekly-ish work lunch to check out new restaurants or explore some gems we've never been before. Recently we decided to try Cousin Louie's for lunch because I am also a fan of the Tony C's and The League restaurants. First to note was the ambiance. I loved walking into the Italian styled restaurant, definitely unexpected in this little strip mall next to a movie theater. It has an old school Italian vibe with vibrant colors and cute old school props like antique phones. The service was also exceptional. We were seated by the friendly hostess immediately who led us to the little back area, where we got a booth. Our server was knowledgeable about the food items and guided us through our contemplations. We finally settled on The Rocket salad and Seafood Fra Diavolo. Additionally, we each got a glass of sangria. The Rocket salad was delicious. Very refreshing and hit the spot. The Seafood Fra Diavolo was good, but a touch on the bland side for my taste buds. The sangria was refreshing and a bit dangerous because I probably could have had an entire pitcher to myself. All in all it was a good experience and I'd be back for a nice date night with the husband (it's a little pricey in my opinion to bring the kids).

Yelp
As a fan of Tony C's, I went to try their newer concept and was very pleased. The interior and the place settings are a fun homage to an old school Italian steakhouse joint. My bartender/server was terrific and helped me choose my selections. The steak tartare was probably the biggest surprise, it is one of the better ones I have had in the Austin area. Chicken marsala is my measuring stick for any Italian place and theirs was superb. It's out of the way for me, but I would return anytime I am in the area and I hope they will open more of these in Austin. Come up to the northwest, y'all, I'll help you find a perfect spot!

Yelp
Not too long ago GF and I tried Cousin Louie's. Food was mostly good but we found huge faux pas in cleanliness. Additionally, the original dish she ordered they didn't prep the sauce on that day. Contacted by TC4, offered a gift card. Mind you, the same offer I got via messenger from the League years before. Nothing arrived in the mailbox. Now delivered via email I took said offering to League instead. The paltry $25 gift card went towards a decent service. Over $100 spent on the original meal. Hey, they even tried to cook my bacon to order. Kid had issues with his brunch waffle not being fresh. And, we're back to TC4 as a whole. The gift card was an insult considering (and I'm guessing but likely) how many cards were passed to Rob Balon over the years for mentions? Where is he now; retirement pasture. So, back to Louie's. We try again seated in the same booths next to the glass. I do peek over and much cleaner than the previous visit. We attempt to start with a pitcher of sangria that was discounted like the last visit. Well, that's not on special anymore. Now almost $40. We try a different route with her drink order. Well, they can't make that either. More prep issues I suppose that haven't been corrected since the last visit. We didn't even make it to bread service before heading out to the Olive Garden where everything was prepped and actually cheaper than dining at CL. PLEASE TC4; take your lumps and no additional gift cards are needed.

Yelp
tried this place for the first time and i'll say it definitely is great! I don't veer away from downtown much but i'm glad I did! first off, our server was the BEST so professional kind and attentive. he even gave us some background history on the place! I would recommend the mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. we enjoyed the ricotta but we think it may have been a little over-powering since there was so much, but none the less a tasty option! the mozzarella sticks could definitely compete with sammie's- there I said it. we really also enjoyed the chicken parm and vodka gnocchi! the portions were massive so by the time ours mains came we were full already, but love the big portions as opposed to leaving hungry! we have a great dinner with drinks and sodas for all under $100 - that is a STEAL in austin!!! we will definitely be back soon! also got the tiramisu to go so will see how that is but super excited - it looks massive and so good!!! great choice for some quality food :)

Yelp
We have been here two times now and they fall a little short each time. The location is great, with a nice restaurant and ambiance. I love the indoor and outdoor seating as we have now done both. Reservations are your friend here, especially if the weekend or on a special occasion such as Mother's Day, etc. Upon arriving, you can check in with the hostess and they will probably get you seated if your table is ready. The service can be fast, or slower... Depends on the person and the day. The first visit we had, we did not enjoy the food very much... The honey ricotta is not something I would recommend. The steak was also not very good, along with the potatoes and green beans you see with it. Her daughter loved the spaghetti... But the meatballs are definitely overtaking the pasta. Our second visit, we got some special appetizer that they had, which was basically a mozzarella and marinara fried sandwich... Not very good. I got some lemon pasta, and I enjoyed it very much along with my daughter who ate it like it was going out of style! My husband also enjoyed his pasta, but I cannot remember the name of it. The fizzy cocktail that I got wasn't something that I would get again, was trying something new out. I don't know if they overbook themselves, but sometimes it's hard to get your server's attention. Overall, great ambiance, polite, staff, good parking, and this last time was good food... Hoping to try them more and that they only get better!

Yelp
Due to having some need to stay home with our dogs because of weed control applications I ordered for delivery. The delivery was actually very fast--much faster than expected. I ordered a half Caesar salad with anchovies and Lasagna. Both orders were large amounts of food. I ate about half of the half Caesar and about a third of the Lasagna. The salad was fresh with good dressing (separate). The Lasagna was good and nothing to rave about. I would not order it again as a matter of personal taste.

Yelp
Man, this hurts me to give Cousin Louie's 2 stars. We were lucky enough to get to try their sample menu before opening and omg it was amazing!! Every single thing we tried was upper echelon food. We couldn't wait for it to open! We have been 2 times to the restaurant and both times it was awful. Starting with the salad. It was definitely a premade in the bowl and left in the fridge all day sitting in the dressing. The lettuce was soggy and brown both times it was served. I ordered an Aperol spritz. I didn't want their special ones and asked for a regular Aperol spritz. I got a pink colored one and tried it and asked the waiter what it was and he said it's our Aperol spritz, I said I ordered a regular Aperol spritz and he said oh we don't have regular Aperol spritz' and walked away. It's not what I wanted or ordered and I didn't drink it and he never apologized or offered to get me something else. The calamari was definitely not fresh and tasted like frozen premade store bought. It was very chewy and not soft. We ordered the special (which I had at the tasting and was incredible) with orchette pasta and broccolini and sausage and it was terrible. The pasta was water logged and mush and we ordered it without cheese for a dairy intolerance and they clearly forgot and just tried to wipe it out of the bowl and still served it to us. By this time after the calamari the salad and my drink we were over it and just wanted to leave. The food is nothing like we tried at the pre-tasting event. It's almost like they fired that chef and hired people from McDonalds to cook the food. It's very disappointing.

Yelp
The food was very good. It wasn't the typical Italian, but certainly had a flavor of its own. We enjoyed Chicken Piccata and Tagliolini Al Limon. The piccata was tasty and seasoned well. I think it lacked more juice, but despite tasted well. The tagliolini was new to us. It simply appeared as a very thin spaghetti. Their version of "al limon" really made it taste good. None of the meals came with a salad. Complimentary bread was provided. It wasn't warm, but good enough. Our server was Lucas. He was very good and attentive to our needs. The restaurant was noisy. It is not a place you go to and enjoy a quite conversation with your partner. There is too much going on.

Yelp
If you've been craving a truly authentic Italian experience, look no further than the newest mom-and-pop gem in SW Austin in the Belterra plaza. From the moment you step inside, you're immediately transported to a vintage Italian kitchen -- it's like sitting in Mama's home, surrounded by warmth and charm The atmosphere is cozy and nostalgic with checkered floors, retro wood paneling, and a classy bar that oozes old-school charm. It's like a love letter to Italy, with every little detail making you feel at home. The service? Spot on. The owners (who you'll often see checking on folks bring that extra touch of love and hospitality you can only get from a true family-run business. Third generation chef makes you really feel the heart poured into every dish and every detail. The Clams were a great starter! Casino and oreganata style and was on point! Flavorful! Frutti di mare and rigatoni pasta cooked to perfection and beautifully plated. Capped off with their tiramisu...a must have. Excited for this new addition, will absolutely be coming back to try other dishes! Make reservations!

Deanna B.

Yelp
Had a great experience at Cousin Louie's. The vibe was chic and welcoming--a modern take on a New York Italian restaurant. The wine selection was impressive (we enjoyed a Super Tuscan) and our waiter was terrific. The broth for the steamed mussels alone was worth writing about. The gnocchi were perfectly cooked and delicious and the panna cotta with strawberries was a perfect finish. Will definitely return.
google avatar

Kathleen R.

Yelp
This new location in DS is really good! I love the gnocchi so light and you can taste its fresh made. My husband had the chicken Marsala and lived it. Many mushrooms were perfect and the chicken was moist. Perfect before our movie date night. We can't wait to get back there.

Yelp
Cousin Louie's is pleasantly surprising. Located in the redecorated Mighty Fine Burger slot in Belterra, it is cozy warm if a bit loud. We were there on a Tuesday night, which began somewhat slowly but ramped up as the evening wore on. Service was prompt, and Iliana (sp?) was extremely pleasant and honest in her answers to our cuisine questions. You start out with breads and oil dipping sauce. One of the breads was excellent, while the other was a bit tough. We started with the calamari, which was a bit too chewy (a common mistake caused by even a slight overcooking). The sauces helped salvage the effort. My companion had the chicken scallopini picata, which was ample and lightly fried and well designed. The pasta was very fresh and the sauce as light as you'd want in a picata treatment. I had the agnolotti bolognese, which was superior in flavor and consistency. The four cheese stuffed pasta was well made and very flavorful, and the ragu was sufficiently meaty and tasty. The quantity was just right - adequate enough that we couldn't handle a desert this go around. They have an excellent wine list, with plenty of choices both Italian and otherwise. The loudness will be difficult to address, given the design choices made when this was just a burger joint. The entrees were top notch and the service overall was sterling. We'll be back to sample some other choices from the menu.
google avatar

Elise K.

Yelp
Highly recommend! We were welcomed immediately and seated promptly. Meredith was friendly and had good suggestions. The service was excellent. Our dinners were all delicious. The bruschetta with whipped ricotta and honey is amazing! Caesar salad is wonderful, very garlicky, which we love! The lemon pasta with shrimp and agnolotti bolognese were so good! Wish we had room for dessert! We will be back often!

George B.

Yelp
Server Dalia was great, attentive, accommodating not hovering. The food was delicious, fresh, hot and very full of flavor. Bread was incredible with seasoned olive oil for dipping. Appetizer, meat balls with sauce, wonderful. Veal and leman chicken pasta entrees were spot on. Salad dressing made in house, light and fresh. Best Italian food I have had in a long time.
google avatar

Roxy L.

Yelp
We met friends of ours for lunch another hit with us since they are affiliated with Tony C's pizza. Our server was very friendly and met our expectations. I had a salad with lemon vinaigrette and a yummy chicken piccata. The ambiance was very pleasant including music from the 50's and 60's. We love this place and will return. The only thing is they do not make pizza at this location.
google avatar

Hannah M.

Yelp
Really good! We sat on patio-Service was great. Sounds like the menu has changed a couple times. We got the Mozerella sticks, Cesar salad, AGNOLOTTI BOLOGNESE, and spicy rigatoni. All was delicious. The agnolotti was stuffed with some amazing cheese. We will be back
google avatar

Courtney K.

Yelp
Highly recommend if you're in the mood for authentic, delicious Italian food. The Chicken Piccata was absolutely delicious--flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The Antipasti Salad was equally impressive, bursting with fresh ingredients and vibrant flavors. As for the cheesecake, it tasted like it came straight from a cozy kitchen, homemade and rich in every bite. I only wish there had been more of that raspberry sauce--it's so good!
google avatar

Yelp
Ok I think this is one of best Italian restaurants I've been to in Austin. The restaurant itself has a nice and warming ambiance. The complementary focaccia bread was pretty good. For dishes we ordered the Chicken Marsala, Gnocchi Alla Vodka, and Seafood Fra Diavolo. Everything was really good and actually not overly heavy. I'll definitely becoming back!
google avatar

Yelp
Went today for lunch, They food was good , best part was our server Tracy also the bartender. Went above and beyond, made suggestions and was attentive. This will be another place my family will go to frequently. Enjoyed the appetizer , I suggest you get the Tagliolini Al Limone and ask for breaded chicken with it. we enjoyed the atmosphere, experience and stories from our server,

Allison S.

Yelp
I'd like to tell you about a wonderful Italian restaurant. Cousin Louies is truly a find. The food, the service and the ambiance is exactly what you want when going out to eat. I just held a ladies lunch. To please 20 discerning women is no easy feat. Yet, each one left thrilled with discovering a new place to dine. Whether it's just lunch or dinner, or a special occasion, I would highly recommend trying this lovely restaurant.

Sandra D.

Yelp
Bread served cold Pork chop very good Chicken Marsala ok Caesar dressing homemade. Very tasty. Serve beer and wine. No full bar. Service felt rushed. Overall a bit pricey for what we got.

Yelp
We attempted to come here last Friday night and they were packed! Almost a 2 hour wait for 2 people at 5:30 so we ended up going elsewhere. We did make a reservation for the following Friday and it did not disappoint. The food - we started off with calamari and the marinara was SO GOOD! The calamari was nice and buttery, not super chewy and the breading was light and not too heavy (which I like). The bread service was nice. Love the olive oil and herbs, but we ended up dipping our bread in the marinara. Try it! For entrees we went with the Chicken Parmesan and the Spicy Rigatoni with Shrimp. The shrimp stole the show! So buttery and garlicky. The pasta was really good too and not too spicy. The Chicken Parmesan was awesome too. Huge piece of chicken and the breading was my favorite. So crispy and it held up nicely under the marinara. The cheese on top could have been more melted and seemed like it maybe was sitting under the warmer for a bit before coming out so it turned rubbery a bit. But I would definitely order both again! Our waiter was very knowledgeable and had great recommendations. He was very friendly and attentive. I didn't catch his name, but he had glasses and big curly hair. We sat on the patio with a 7:15 reservation and it was perfect. Not too cold and they had some heaters if you felt you needed it. 10/10 will be back!

Yelp
I have to say. Lately restaurants are just going downhill since Covid. food quality and customer service! My husband and I came in since we love to support new restaurants. I have to say We were so happy, food was DELICIOUS and customer service was top notch! Our server Amanda was the best. And I loved watching how they all work together. I was celebrating my birthday, they brought out the most delicious desert that I ordered one to take home. Will definitely return!

Yelp
So we went back to Cousin Louie's for dinner with our neighbors and this place was buzzing! Almost every table and every seat in the bar was filled. We arrived ands were greeted courteously, and seated at our table quickly. Our waitress, Makayla, was very attentive. She gave us the history of the restaurant, made some suggestions on both appetizers and entrees and took our drink orders. We ordered Mozzarella Sticks as an appetizer, and the ordered the Lasagna, the Chicken Marsala, and (2) orders of the Butternut Squash Tortellinis. We paired it with a Super Tuscan, a Montepulciano, and our neighbor ordered some beer to round it out. Well, like our prior experience, the meals were amazing! Makayla continued to pay attention to us and made sure our water was never empty and that our experience was going well. We finished up the meal with Tiramisuou. It was another amazing dinner and the service was also stellar. I hope they continue with this level of amazing food and dining experience. Definitely going to be a regular.

Yelp
It was good! Perfect little date night spot. Packed, but no wait. Service was great. Menu isn't huge, but the food was great!
google avatar

Deanna W.

Yelp
Service and ambiance were great. It's a modern italian spot with the old school feel indoors and on the heated/air conditioned patio. The bar doesn't have a liquor license just yet, but they recently opened so it could be in the works- just beer and wine for now. The food was good, but portions could be a bit more generous. Cesar, meatballs, and baked clams were good- but the meatballs came out cold. The rigatoni carbonara was good, but the sauce was a bit drier/less creamy than what we were expecting. Dessert menu was small, I was hoping for more options like gelato and cannolis. I recommend a reservation but they do accept walk ins. I think they are working out some kinks- I literally heard a manager scream at her teenage busboys... but this is in a hopping area of Belterra, so I'm sure they will continue to improve. A different manager stopped by our table multiple times which I definitely appreciate.

Yelp
Snapper Livornese was perfect. Service was on top of it. Glad to have a convenient Italian close by!
google avatar

Yelp
Poor service. Only 4 other tables of guest and we waiting for over 10 minutes without anyone greeting us or taking a drink order. Multiple staff walked past us and never acknowledged we were present. Wanted to love this place but we won't be back.

Yelp
I picked up lunch to go.. place took me back in time . I ordered spaghetti and meatballs the dish was delish and so was the bread . I will try again and dine in next time with friends and family.. Thanks for bring Cousin Louie's to Belterra..

Yelp
First time here with friends. A few things are very unaligned. The restaurant seems to be deciding what it wants to be: A family experience which is a place to brings kids, loud, food passable. However with reserved wine up to $350 a bottle I would assume a high end place with a focus on great food. It's neither. Food lukewarm none was hot Soup was poor as it was premade and cold. Pasta needs to be put in fresh. All food we had was a step up from Olive Garden. Wine was very good but the food was very salty. Service was ok. Second bottle of wine came at end of dinner not during dinner. Difficult to split check. Dessert not offered. Ambiance was very very loud with lots of kids.

Yelp
I was overwhelmed by the authenticity of each item I tried during my visit at Cousin Louie's. From the meatballs appetizer, to the fresh bread basket, the original recipe Caesar salad dressing, to the Texas sized chicken Parmesan; I was impressed with every bite. The staff were great and checked in regularly, always ensuring every dish was delicious. I can't wait to return because the tiramisu has been on my mind ever since!

Yelp
Such a great experience and wonderful food. Collin took very good care of us and was such a pleasure! The managers were attentive and made sure everything was perfect. We will be back!

Yelp
This restaurant was a nice surprise after finding Pieous closed without showing on their website. Great food and great service. This will definitely take the place of Pieous for me and my family.

Yelp
A Hidden Gem That Tastes Like Italy! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the hostess, and the entire staff made us feel genuinely valued throughout our visit. The service was exceptional -- attentive, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. Our server not only made fantastic recommendations but also shared some of the restaurant's history, which added a special touch. Now the food... absolutely incredible! Probably the best homemade Italian I've ever had. I started with the Caesar salad, which had the perfect garlicky punch and a beautiful balance of flavors, topped with fresh Parmesan and a drizzle of high-quality olive oil. Speaking of olive oil, the bread dip was outstanding -- you could really taste the richness of the olive oil. A small detail, but it says so much about the quality here. My husband had the Chicken Marsala, and you could tell they used a top-shelf Marsala wine -- it was deeply flavorful, and the chicken was fork-tender. I went with the spicy rigatoni in a rich tomato cream sauce, paired with a meatball that was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The spice had just the right kick without overpowering the dish. We were blown away to find a place that tastes this authentic -- tucked away in a shopping center, no less. We will absolutely be returning. What a rare and awesome find!

We have been here twice. The first time was amazing. But the second--not so much. First, I want to address the service. Our server when we were there was completely MIA. She only refilled our drinks once, took 20 minutes to bring out our bread, and we could not find her when we wanted to pay and leave. Second, my meal wasn't great. I got the spicy rigatoni and added grilled chicken. The portion size was very small; my son's kids spaghetti and meatball dish was almost twice the size. And the chicken was disgusting. It was dry, overcooked, and devoid of seasoning. This was a $25 dollar dish, all things considered, and it was not even close to being worth the money. Overall, I was very disappointed with our visit, and I am not sure if we will be going back.

Yelp
Food was top notch! All homemade, authentic real Italian food. Flavor was clean, no preservatives and the service was great as well!

Yelp
Old school Italian with nostalgic music piped in. Made you feel like you were in a Goodfellows movie. Food was good, but in my opinion a little overpriced for the portions, but what isn't these days. Waitstaff extremely attentive and manager/owner actually stopped at the table to check in and visit for a minute. Definitely a go back to try other dishes and to enjoy the atmosphere

Yelp
We had a large party on the patio on an early Saturday evening. Cousin Louie's gave us two waiters who were both amazing. They kept checking on us and were great with the kids. I was very impressed and pleased with the service and food. We were so happy with how everything went for our daughter's birthday and hopefully made some core memories!

Yelp
Went here for the first time with family on Easter weekend for lunch. It's new so we wanted to try it. Was pleasantly surprised by the food quality. We got the mozzarella sticks for appetizer, the the spicy ragotoni, tagliolini, Sunday salad, and Italiano sandwich. All of it was fairly good, especially the ragotoni and italiano. Pasta was homemade. Food overall very fresh. Portions a bit small for price, but I also eat a lot. The design of the restaurant was very cute. Service was very nice tho a bit slow. I'll go back. It's not the top tier of Italian , but pretty good.

Yelp
I debated posting this review. We hadn't been to this restaurant yet and despite the bad reviews thought we go and try it out. It lives up to it's bad reviews. I ordered lasagna and it resembled nothing like lasagna it was a pile of meat with bechamel sauce on top, not a hint of pasta. The two others in the group had meatballs and so called spicy rigatoni and added chicken. The rigatoni was flavorless and had just a few pieces of chicken. The meatballs and sauce were flavorless. Note to server, don't rush your guests. We hadn't been seated a full minute when the server asked for our order. How about I look at the menu for a hot second? That kind of rushed service was the same throughout the meal. Don't waste your money or time. Skip Cousin Louie's.

Yelp
Wow! What an incredible new addition to south Austin (Dripping Springs)! We tried the restaurant for the first time on Mothers Day. Everything was perfection - the service, the beautiful atmosphere, the cuisine!! We had a couple of the appetizers, several entrees, the Caesar salad, and the delectable fresh baked warm bread. It was all just the BEST! We are so excited to go back and try everything on the menu. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I ordered Chicken Marsala. It was OK -- not as good as what I could make, but I've had worse. My wife ordered lasagna. She got a small bowl of what appeared to be red soup, with some cheese and pasta floating in it. My wife politely asked if that was supposed to be lasagna, since it usually is solid and has well-defined layers. The server, who was indisputably the best part of the experience, apologized profusely and brought her a replacement dish of pasta stuffed with cheese. That was ... OK. I'm giving this restaurant two stars because of the server, who got a great tip. We won't be back, and my wife has forbidden me from making any Italian cuisine for a while, til the memory fades.

Yelp
Was in the area for work and stopped in for a quick bite and ended up really impressed! Place is really cute traditional Italian spot and have really sweet antique pictures of their family. Got a good side ceasar salad and bread service which was really good, I like when they bring oils and herb for the bread! Also got the calamari during happy hour which was $3 off and just how I like it!! Just got the house white wine (Pinot Grigio) and it was reallllly good! I'll be back for dinne

Yelp
The pasta is ok, the kids food was actually better than mine. I love the atmosphere tho! And the service was great!

Yelp
Walked into a beautiful, nostalgic setting and was seated immediately. Ashley, our server, was amazing! Had the tagliolini al limone (with chicken), which was delicious. Caesar salad was yummy....just the right amount of dressing. Dessert was the panda cotta, which melted in my mouth. I shall return!

Yelp
Maybe just having a few "new opening" hiccups. Not impressed with menu or food offerings.

Yelp
I do not like to give an immediate 5 stars because then, there is no room for improvement. I cannot help myself on this one. Mama Mia! I came for lunch on their Grand Opening, expecting mediocre food and service. No one should expect seamless dining on an opening day, just because of nerves and new and finding their groove. Well, I had perfect service and fabulous food! Our server, Alan was catering to the table and fantastic with recommendations. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and a glass of Cabernet. I am regretful I did not take a picture of my dish. Incredibly generous portion on the Marsala plate. As one of my favorite authentic Italian dishes, I can say this Chicken Marsala plate was unexpectedly loaded with mushrooms and breaded chicken. I ended up bringing a good portion home to finish. I am hopeful that this well-needed sit-down restaurant stays with us long term. The pricing is great! I will try them again soon for the Steamed Mussels. Grazie!

Yelp
The food was outstanding! Great wine selections and I recommend the lasagna. It just opened up and I can't wait to go back again. Mr. Handsome the bartender was great too.!
