Hidden gems Thai street food in Berkeley! Food here has a great flavor and some kick to it! If you want a Thai food fixed I’d definitely recommend this place. I’ve been enjoying food here since they opened as Lucky Bird (I understand they re-branded but still keep the same recipe) before they changed to Cousin Street food. My go-to always Pumpkin curry and Fried Pork Belly. Food came out fresh, taste great, good portion compared to the price, rice also included in the meal so you don’t have to pay extra! Thai iced-tea great for summer day and they made it not so sweet (unlike other Thai places) Only wish I could have for them is to bring back all good dessert options again! So goooood!

Clean establishment, fast friendly service, homemade noodles and stocks with very fresh vegetables. Adorable little hidden garden for dining outside if preferred.

I really just wanted a bowl of comforting noodle soup tonight, and Cousins delivered. The MeTang Noodle Soup was delicious! Can't wait to try other items on the menu.

A great restaurant in downtown Berkeley, very much under-discovered.

I used to come to this place when it was still Lucky Bird so I was disappointed to find out that they've closed. But after trying out Cousins Asian Street Food, I'm happy to say that they are very good as well so I'm not disappointed anymore. The place looks pretty the same, the indoor dining is very colorful, while the patio at the back looks really cozy. We ordered a few things, the pumpkin curry, crispy pork belly, eggplant fries, veggie rolls, noodles with gravy and the dry wok noodles. Everything was delicious but our favorites were the eggplant fries, the pork belly and the pumpkin curry. Even the fried egg that came with the crispy pork belly was also perfectly fried to be crispy on the bottom and yolky in the center. I was really hoping to try the Tom Sap Leng Soup, but they said they didn't have it that day. Hopefully the next time I'm back, I can try that as well. Overall a very good addition to the Berkeley Shattuck food scene.
