15 Lobster Rolls in Atlanta Worth the Splurge

"With two Atlanta-area location at Lenox Square and Marietta Square Market, this “Shark Tank” success story serves Maine lobster served up in creative ways. Try the lobster quesadilla, lobster tacos, or lobster grilled cheese. Go for the real deal Maine lobster roll, served chilled with a touch of mayo or Connecticut-style, served warm with butter and lemon." - Beth McKibben

Easy to find and walking distance to the hotels nearby. Good amount of lobster on the roll. Small coleslaw. The part that I found icky was their fountain drink machine and ice dispenser desperately needs cleaned.

Google
OMG. This has got to be the best Loster roll for the money. Loaded with a great portion of Lobster. We went to the truck in Kennesaw, GA. Everyone should get out and try this well worth the money. Super impressed. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays to all.

Yesterday, We (my husband and I) got a Connecticut roll and a cup of Lobster Bisque as a snack and it was FANTASTIC! Today we decided to drive back 30 mins thru Atlanta traffic to get it for dinner again. We got 2 Connecticut rolls and 2 cups of lobster bisque. Today the rolls were half the size and the bisque was super thin to where we had to drink it as it was so thin and tasted as it had been super thinned with water. Very disappointing to be so excited to come back and not impressed at all. The service was very good but the food not at all today. We were SHOCKED by the difference in just one day!

Google
My friend is awesome at finding us new places to try lobster rolls from. This place had just opened up, so we had to try. I was impressed with how fresh it was. This place is kind of like a food court, which is cool. Wasn't crowed at all. The lobster roll was the best thing. I definitely get that. Highly recommend this place!

Google
It's a food truck, so "atmosphere" is what you make it. The service was outstanding and friendly, the food delicious! I had a CT lobster roll, which was loaded with yummy lobster, and a small clam chowder, which was some of the best I've ever had 😋. I'll be watching for the return of this truck to my area, for sure!

Google
I see some reviews that have lobster rolls with fries/tots wish we would of known. I digress, my friend invited me here to review the food so we ordered the Maine and Connecticut lobes yet roll, lobster tacos, lobster tots, lobster grilled cheese, and clam chowder. Something came with a side of slaw and a pickle and we had fountain drinks. Honestly I wouldn’t recommend anything outside of the lobster roll and soups. Everything else felt like another way to sale lobster but there was nothing special, no seasoning or flavor that set the tacos apart from the grilled cheese. I’d recommend some special sauces/dips as well as a signature drink. Each “meal” was about $14-18 so that’s another reason to stick to their signature sandwiches. Since this is located inside Lennox seating is limited and not private. It’s a nice spot if you’re in the area but I wouldn’t make a trip for it.

Google
Not bad. I had the Connecticut lobster roll and it wasn’t bad. Lots of lobster, toasted bun. It could have used a little more butter. The lobster bisque was not thick enough, it was like water. Good taste but the texture was thin. One of the best parts about this location is the cashier/ host/ server Isaiah. He was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, had many suggestions and very welcoming.

Google
11 stars. the service is outstanding. ricky is very welcoming, respectful and accommodating. the food is delicious and filled my lobster craving for a fantastic price! i had been here years ago, and i am delighted to see it still here and still exceeding my expectations. thank you! i will be back!

Yelp
The food and service was absolutely amazing. From the moment we walked in both Rick and Dee greeted us with a smile and made us feel welcome. The food came out hot and fresh. Do yourself a favor and visit this location, you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Grabbed lunch from one of their food trucks a couple of weeks ago. So fresh and delicious. The lobster roll and the lobster mac & cheese are unbelievable.

Yelp
Finally made it to Cousins Maine Lobster! I ordered the Connecticut Roll and a cup of Lobster Bisque. The meal was delicious and just as I hoped for. Prices are a tad pricey for what I thought was descent seafood but we are in Atlanta and not in the New England area so I'll be quiet. I paid $34 for the roll and soup. The restaurant to my surprise is also chain. To me that's not bad as chains provide consistency but I had always seen the restaurants signage when passing the mall on P'tree and was a tad disappointed when I realized it's another chain addition once waiting for my order. I'll be back as they are close to home but I think this has opened my mind to want to experience more lobster rolls out there! I will be coming in again, soon, and trying more of the menu until it's time to try the next spot!

Yelp
Amazing service, great food. and Will's professionalism today in Duluth. If I can give them a Michelin they will have a 5 because Will.

Yelp
Seafood is terrific when they have it. Went out of our way to visit their Lenox location and they were out of clams- the reason I went. The Lenox Mall location is not convenient. Their Florida locations are superb and deserve a 5 star.

Yelp
This is the first brick and mortar location I've encountered since learning about Cousins Maine. I generally dine at their food trucks in Ohio and have a wonderful meal. If you aren't looking for this place, it is easy to miss since it tucked in a corner at the mall. The seating is limited in the store itself, but you can sit in the mall space outside of the restaurant. I grabbed a Maine roll for later and it was wonderful as usual. The franchise does a great job of keeping the sandwiches consistent. I only wish they gave you more lobster with the sandwich!
google avatar

Equana D.

Yelp
Good lobster. Good service. Competitive price in comparison with lobster rolls offered elsewhere. Deducted a star because the butter on the Connecticut lobster roll made the roll soggy by the time I reached my car and was missing the lemon wedge. I also feel like the claw meat needed to be chopped more. Would possibly return but not in a hurry.
google avatar

Emma H.

Yelp
The food and service is very good here - expect a short wait, while menu items are freshly prepared for you. Unfortunately, the location and atmosphere is lacking; it's a fast food vibe, with high-end prices.
google avatar

Yelp
Cousins Maine Lobster gives me the most mixed of mixed feelings. The franchise is good overall. You have to really temper your expectations given the fact that, we are far inland and they have to source the lobster from Maine. We are also in a nightmare hellscape economically. All that said, you can only grade on so high a curve before you're simply handing out participation medals. Choose from the Maine or the Connecticut roll if you're seeking a lobster roll. Maine is served cold with a touch of mayo while Connecticut is served hot with butter and lemon. At $19.50, it's certainly not a steal. For the portion that you get, and holistically speaking, it's a fair price. Make your meal a combo by adding $3.50 for chips and a drink or a staggering $6 for fries/tots and a drink or Whoopie pie and a drink. I understand the business model, where the margin is razor thin on entrees and made up with drinks and sides. All that said, $6 is kind of a lot, even considering everything. Lobster roll is expensive here, but I feel that the taste and the portion roughly make sense. The drink selection is very lacking, and the sides were very underwhelming, given the high upcharge. As interesting as the lobster tots, and other unique menu items, sound, I'd rather return to Nacho Daddy for a more gimmicky lobster meal.

Yelp
I was very pleased with both the Connecticut and maine Roll although I couldn't tell if there was mayo on it. I will definitely go back. The buttery roll was everything. This was the food truck in Snellville this past Sunday

Yelp
FINALLY got the chance to try Cousins Maine Lobster at the Food Truck Friday event yesterday in Perry, GA (my hometown). The long line at the food truck did not deter folks from waiting (including me). Cousins had the longest line during the entire event. I'm a grilled cheese fanatic so I ordered the lobster grilled cheese and a cup of lobster bisque. The food did not disappoint! My grilled cheese was full of lobster and cheesy and the bisque was flavorful and had nice pieces of lobster in it. And the customer service was great! I'm a fan!
google avatar

Claudia T.

Yelp
Lobster rolls were tasty; however small and pricey. We added a cup of lobster bisque and clam chowder to our meals and were overcharged; it was supposed to be $5 for a cup when adding to an entree and they charged us full price for both cups of soup.
google avatar

Alton J.

Yelp
Had good experiences here the last two times I've been here, but 5:30pm on Sunday and they're out of lobster meat which is really disappointing. I was ready to drop $100+ this evening as I've been thinking about this place all afternoon. EDIT: And they closed down 10 minutes early so I couldn't even place another order if I wanted to.

Yelp
We parked in the garage and actually just finished eating at the Politan...but decided to grab a drink and lobster roll. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Expensive ($32) lobster roll but they definitely give you enough lobster to make it worth it. The roll is also super buttery. It tasted amazing! But due to limited stomach space, we sacrificed the tater tots.

A D.

Yelp
Yum! This place is way better than any restaurant that serves a lobster roll. They pack the roll full of meat and aren't skimpy like most restaurants! Plus can't beat the price it's 10 bucks cheaper than most spots.
google avatar

Kelly G.

Yelp
This is not the best lobster you will ever have but if you need your lobster fix, and fast, this place is perfect. The guy that took our order was personable , knowledgeable of the menu and fast . We tried the lobster roll and lobster tacos . They were good. To be in Atlanta and be able to order a decent lobster roll is hard to come by . So I would definitely check this place out again just for the novelty.

Yelp
I saw a brick and mortar for Cousins open up and decided to treat myself to a lobster roll for lunch. And of course, once I was there, I also saw the lobster grilled cheese and chowder on the menu so.... why not YOLO, it was pay day the next day, anyway. That Connecticut lobster roll was CHOCK FULL of lobster!! I posted a picture on Instagram and someone complained that theirs didn't have nearly as much lobster as mine. *shrug* I paid full price and also tipped, maybe that's why?! Definitely worth every penny. No, it probably isn't as fresh as what you'd find in the northeast but it's probably one of the best you can find in Atlanta, hands down. The lobster grilled cheese was slightly underwhelming compared to the freshness of the lobster roll but still recommend you try it! Same with the chowder... Overall, it's not cheap. But if you're looking to treat yourself to a pricier "fast food" meal, Cousins is a great way to do so when in Buckhead.

Danielle C.

Yelp
This was my first time trying and as long as the lady with the limp is there, I won't be back. Not sure where she was raised but you do not HAVE tip on to-go- a basic etiquette class will teach that. And you definitely don't ask for it. However, I carry cash to slip in their hands if i deem appropriate. I literally grabbed my food and left. She said "next time make sure you tip me because I gave you a free drink." (That I TRIED to pay for). I have other military friends that come in to town and I think I'll tell them to skip this place if that's the treatment they'll get. Z a

Yelp
I really like this restaurant at Lenox mall which is why my last 3 visits have been so disappointing.... When I go for the whole belly clams and twice they would not prepare them because they had only soaked four 5 hours instead of overnight even though I was coming right when they opened. The 3rd time they finally had then and they gave me exactly 6 where as I used to get a fairly good amount..I may go back but I hope they get back to normal.

Yelp
I was thoroughly surprised to stumbled upon Cousins Maine Lobster on a recent visit to Lenox. This fairly new restaurant located at the edge of the mall near True Foods and Tesla brings a new variety to the Lenox food options. Though it's not located in the "Food Court"-proper, deviating from the typical mall food run would actually work in your best interest this time. Like many lobster rolls, Cousin's rolls are not cheap. I purchased the Connecticut Roll for about ~$18. I added a touch of Mayo to the New England style roll accompanying the fresh lobster and warm butter spread on top of it. If you've ever visited New England and enjoyed their Lobster roll, well you're in good company at Cousin's. The freshness of the lobster can be tasted in every bite. I'd certainly recommend trying one (or maybe two if you're hungry lol), the next time you visit Lenox mall. Bon Appetit!

Yelp
Possibly the worst service I've ever had in my life. It took me 30 min to receive my order and the staff is trash. Extremely rude. Once I received my order the lobster roll it was extremely dry. Lacking any butter. When I asked for a refund and explained what was wrong with my order, the staff member rudely spoke over me and turned his back to me and completely dismissed me while I was talking. I paid over $35 for my order. This is unacceptable. He said he could remake my order which took another 15 min. Do not support this establishment. You will be extremely disappointed. I even had lobster bisque, there was not one piece of lobster in sight. Just awful. What a waste of my time and money. NEVER AGAIN. If you see this white gentleman Orr should I say "Rude-man" with the cap run!! (FYI the black server was very kind- he was not at fault and did all he could to try to make things better.)

Josie O.

Yelp
Great food. Limited menu. Perfect location by an outside mall entrance. Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner, or to go order. I wish they had wine or beer.
google avatar

Tammi J.

Yelp
Had lunch here with my sister and it was very good. Plentiful serving of lobster and the food was fresh. Would eat here again.
google avatar

Michael K.

Yelp
Consistently good. Have been to a few locations in the states and always the same. Deliciously seasoned and fresh. This Marietta location part of a food hall but all appearances clean. Friendly staff and prompt service. Recommend this location. Not cheap but it is lobster.

Yelp
I'm from new haven Connecticut! So I was slightly excited when I seen the "Connecticut roll". The roll was delicious a lil overpriced but tasty. I know a place back home that serves huge chunks of lobster for the same price but I'm not home so cousins is the next best option. My friend had the fish and tots. It was decent, a lil bland and no seasoning but I'm ok with that. I hate overly seasoned seafood. The tarter sauce was super boring, that was a disappointment. I just don't understand how something so easily made can be so bad. The coleslaw was really good though! I would literally go back just for the coleslaw. IverallConnecticut roll and coleslaw was a WIN!!!

Yelp
In the mist of a food venture, you'll know what I mean when you arrive. I had my mind set on lobster and I was not disappointed. Simply walk up and order and food comes out in the matter of approximately 15min. I must warn you that there are many other options to choose from when you arrive to this establishment because it's like a food park....

Yasmine F.

Yelp
Went here with a friend who paced an order. I was going to order but the way the cashier attitude and demeanor was I changed my mind. She was literally the worst. And when asked for seasoning she asked for what? As if this not a restaurant where you can ask things like that. Another couple came in after us and she was the same way. Otw out the girl said she didn't like her attitude or how she was talking. Please hire better upfront. Really wanted to try this place out but I'd rather spend my money where it's appreciated.

Yelp
After walking past this restaurant a million times before, I finally stopped by for a quick lunch while I was in Lenox Mall. There were a lot of people dining there, which either meant the food is that good or it's super crowded due to the holiday shopping frenzy or both. The line moved quickly, though. I chose the Connecticut Roll with fries and a drink. The food came out quickly too, and was hot and very tasty. I kept myself from inhaling it all. Yum! I'll have to make it a point to stop here more often.

Ellen P.

Yelp
What a surprise. I'm visiting Atlanta. Home is right down the road from Cousins Island, Maine. I ordered the lobster tots to take home. I reheated them in the microwave and devoured them. I wasn't expecting to enjoy a quick lunch so much. I recommend this meal, even though it was a bit pricey. If I'm back in ATL I'm sure to come here for a taste of home.

Yelp
First of all... NEW ENGLAND SEAFOOD IS IN THE HOUSE! If you haven't been to Cousins put it on your bucket AND to do lists. I met up with a friend and cajoled her into joining me for a lobster dinner. In the past, we regularly sampled seafood offerings around the area, however, I was always touting and I must say always bemoaning the lack of fresh seafood offerings as compared to Boston. (I admit it... And no disrespect intended.) The food and customer service did not disappoint. I ordered the Clam Plate and Lobster Tacos while she ordered the Lobster Grilled Cheese and Lobster Bisque. Perfection. I can honestly say, I tasted the clean pure Atlantic waters off the coast of Maine. The breading on the clams was amazing and the clams succulent not chewy and took me back to my childhood... the fries were delicious. Definitely New England breading on those clams. This was my first time trying Lobster Tacos. They were fabulous and bursting with lobster. My friend pronounced the meal "Good" which is high praise from her especially due to the fact she's has a very sophisticated palate and really doesn't care for clams. She tried them AND liked them! She claims there's better lobster bisque in Atlanta... we shall see, lol. Although I didn't get to sample the Lobster Grilled Cheese or Lobster Bisque, I will be back and update y'all then. As far as Customer Service, it was Top Notch. We had called prior to our arrival and were given information on the setup, directions, and were patiently asked if we needed anything else. My Chef/Seafood Masters were Mr. Tony and Mr. Hampton... KUDOS and thanks guys. Food prepared expertly. My Order was Taken by the manager, Mr. James, who capably juggled this duty as well as bussing the tables, answering the phone, handling the take out orders and probably writing a dissertation on his break! All in all, my experience against the backdrop of the Lexington Mall was superior. Ya gotta go. Now.
google avatar

Sara R.

Yelp
One of the worst experiences ever! I placed my order about 3:30 on a Sunday afternoon. I was the last person to be able to place an order. After me as they approached the counter, the female told everyone they have taken a "pause." Most items were not available but I settled on a kids meal. I waited and waited. The men from the back kept coming up to the counter and going back to kitchen, back & forth. 5 customers in front of me waiting. Extremely disorganized. Finally 30 minutes later, I asked for my money back. I hope they can get it together!
google avatar

Kristy V.

Yelp
Yum! The mains lobster roll was fresh and cold. Not too much mayo either, so the roll wasn't soggy. Staff was friendly and place was clean.

Yelp
It is probably going to hurt my wallet that I know about this place cause I love their food trucks and now I can have my lobster roll whenever I am willing to drive here. I have actually gone to a festival so I could eat at the Cousins food truck. Updated review to 4 stars because I came back here a few times and it is very inconsistent in service and food. It is the easiest place to get a lobster roll but that roll isn't always made the same way. I have had so many of these food items, but today I went with the classic Maine lobster roll and was fully satisfied. I prefer my lobster cold to warm so Maine is my fav lobster roll style. There is tons of tasty lobster meat. The lobster meat is surrounded by a perfectly buttery toasted bun with just a bit of mayo. They give you a fork because there is so much lobster meat you might want to eat some with a fork. Personally, I prefer my fingers. I wish they would ask if you want a fork so it doesn't go to waste cause I'm trying to be greener. It comes with a pickle and slaw. I take a few bites of the sandwich and then eat my pickle and slaw so my last perfect bites can be all lobster and bun. I have also had the Connecticut roll and the lobster quesadilla which I was a little torn on if I should have that today. I prefer the roll because I can taste the lobster meat more in it than in the quesadilla. The quesadilla is very cheesy and has lot of mear but the meat flavor is a little butter by the cheese. As I started about prefer the cold lobster to the warm Connecticut roll. I am happy they have a brick and mortar location so I can have yummy lobster for a reasonable price almost any time I wish.

Yelp
Wow. I wanted to give my girlfriend to have the everything lobster experience. It's somewhat of an interesting location, inside a side corridor of a mall. It's not cheap. We had a quesadila, lobster tots and a lobster grilled cheese and spent around $60. It was worth it all in all though as it was a TON of lobster. I really wanted fried clams but they were out. Ce la vie. Everyone working here, all two of them, were extremely friendly. My takeaways are these; Garbo's in Austin was waaaaaaaay better IMHO but it's not a level playing field as it's two different companies in two different cities. Garbo's grilled cheese was just so much better and had more depth of flavor. The quesadilla was quite good and the tots were the clear winner. The amount of meat in the tots is damn near criminal. The only real gripe I have and it's not their issue but should concern them, is that there was zero restrooms open in the area. The restaurant across the hall requires a code/lock to get in and theirs was 'out of order'. I then was told there was one at the other end of the hallway near Cheesecake Factory. That one was also closed and non operational. This is a huge inconvenience to their customers and if they haven't, they should raise holy hell with property management.

Yelp
I've been a fan of Cousins Maine Lobster (CML) since they showed up at one of the Atlanta International Night Market events. Imagine my excitement when I heard they opened an actual restaurant close to home! CML has been opened for some time now, but I was never able to find it. The easiest way to find this place inside the mall is: locate Panera Bread and walk down towards ATL Taco. If ATL Taco is on the right, CML is directly on the left. All of these places is on the Macy's end of the mall. (Hope that helps!) During lunch time on a Monday, CML had a steady flow of patrons. Some dined in at the tables lining the outside of the restaurant and many ordered to-go. Generally, there are 3 areas where you can dine: Outside the entire mall, outside the restaurant but still in the mall, and inside the restaurant. There's definitely not much room in the restaurant. Service: Great! The lady taking orders was very friendly. After ordering, you can find a seat and she will bring the food out to you once it's prepared. Food: *Connecticut Roll ($17.50): Maine lobster, served warm with butter inside New England style roll with lemon on the side. Lobster and butter...what can be better? *Maine Roll ($17.50): Main lobster, served chilled with a touch of mayo inside a New England style roll. The mayo was light and very tasty -great add to the lobster roll. Both were delicious. I liked the roll served warm, but once I tried the Maine Roll...I liked that one too! Lobster rolls are typically priced at market value at many other restaurants such as Park 75 or Oceanaire. Last time I called, a lobster roll at Park 75 was roughly ~$32! Oh my. And even then, a lot of rolls have other toppings added into the roll to make it more full. CML does none of that. It is ALL lobster meat inside. So when I put things in that perspective, it was worth $17.50. This isn't something I would frequent because it's pretty expensive, but I would definitely come back to occasionally treat myself to some lobster rolls. YUMMMMMM!

Yelp
Ok food at elevated prices. Terrible service. Terrible service. Did I say terrible service?
google avatar

Jen L.

Yelp
This little restaurant is tucked deep into a corner of the mall. It was a little difficult to find but definitely worth the search! We split a lobster quesadilla which was a perfect snack to share on our shopping adventure. It was a great portion for the price and very delicious! Everyone working here is very friendly and helpful. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back soon!
google avatar

Yelp
It's like the equivalent a place in the food court and the service is bad!!! The tables are dirty ... lol.. this is so misleading! Do not go here to have lobster
google avatar

Laura P.

Yelp
I can see why Barbara Cochran, of Shark Tank fame, invested in this unique fast food option. Lucky for the two cousins, from home state of Maine, who created this fresh cooked lobster chain! Important to note, their bisque and chowders are under $10, they serve beer and wine, and they offer Take Home packages. This is a fast food restaurant with a fresh lobster offering, and therefore, garners a higher priced product over the usual fast food burger spots. Do not dine here if you are expecting the $5.99 Value Meal, frozen protein and frozen French fry product! I give this spot five stars because it's exactly what they profess to be: fresh cooked Maine lobster cooked perfectly! We ordered the Connecticut Lobster Roll ($17.5) in which the lobster is tossed in butter rather than mayo. The bread was fresh, and the lobster plentiful and not chewy! The cup of lobster bisque, $7.5 and gluten free, was good with an appropriate amount of lobster. A bisque by definition should have a smooth, velvety texture, and has small bits of seafood (look it up if you don't believe me). Their bisque is exactly as it should be - it's not a stew nor chowder - it's a bisque! The employees were extremely eager to please, helpful, attentive and pleasant.

Yelp
I've always passed by this place going to Lenox Mall, and I finally got the chance to stop in. I ordered the Connecticut Lobster Roll, and Lobster Bisque. The Lobster Bisque was a little watery and felt like it was missing seasoning. I expected the lobster roll to be a little larger as well. I also got to try the Lobster Grilled Cheese, Lobster Quesadilla, and Clam Chowder. Everything was good!! They also offer beer and wine which is a plus. IG: @iLoveFood_ATL

Gianni M.

Yelp
Lobster roll is really tasty but really lacking in lobster meat. The rolls needed at least 50 percent more lobster meat .Wont be be back.. You can order a 1 lb. Lobster at Publix and make 2.5 rolls for the same price and actually be filled up

TaNesha M.

Yelp
Was out in Lenox Mall when I recognized their restaurant. I wanted to try them out before but I think they were closed. I sacrificed my fast to give this place a try because I don't know the next time I'll be at this location. We went around lunch time and it was chill. The menu was impressive; showcasing their many types of lobster options. I wanted to try some of everything but I took my time. Because I've had lobster rolls and po boys in past, I wanted to try something different. I opted for the grilled cheese and lobster sandwich with fries and coleslaw. This was a great idea. The lobster was real and it was a good mix with the Texas toast and melted cheese. The fries were plentiful. The size is definitely sharable. I almost got the tots but I changed my mind. Now I must say that the coleslaw wasn't impressive. Honestly, I got nervous because it had no taste! Read between the lines. I would recommend they add a little more seasoning to it. Spice it up a little bit. The service was good and speedy. You place your order and they bring to your table which are seated outside in the foyer area. It's perfect for spacing and social distancing. I'll definitely come back to try the lobster tots.

Yelp
I have some mixed feelings about this review, and I'll explain why. First off, it was a nightmare to find the location. We knew it was somewhere in or around Lenox Square Mall. We thought perhaps it was located in the food court. But after walking around the food court, not once, but twice thinking we might have missed it the first time, we thought maybe it was one of the restaurants on the outside of the mall, but still connected. So we walked through the mall to the other side. We searched around the entrance near Corner Bakery with no luck. Finally, we decided to back track and saw a very small sign pointing towards one of the side hallways. It was still not visible until you walk to the very end. It is located on the east side of the mall at one of the side entrances in a corner. The food itself was pretty good. We tried the Connecticut Roll because we like our lobster sandwich to be warm. But for $17.50 there was not a lot of food to be had. The lobster roll itself tasted good. You could taste the melted butter on the lobster and the roll. But with just a small side of cole slaw and a pickle, I believe the cost to be way overpriced. And that leads me to my mixed feelings. Nothing comes cheap here. You pay for a nice sit down restaurant price, but there's no service and it's located in a small hidden corner of the mall. We shared one lobster roll and took a few small bites each. But we weren't willing to dish out the big bucks for a small sandwich. We just wanted to try it for the experience and to say we tried it. But we would be hard pressed to say we would return to this restaurant.

Yelp
Sigh.... as seen on Shark Tank. Loved the idea. Took me years to finally try this. As much as I miss having the REAL lobster rolls (12 INCH) at the Mohegan Sun casino back in the days, I expected the taste to be at least unique and flavorful. Thus time I tried the lobster tacos. I mean, why not!! I paid 5$ parking and 29$ meal with tip. Now I wish I had went to taco bell instead. I'm sadly disappointed. The flavor was awful flat like the ground we walk on. Someone must've forgot to add seasoning. I at least expected to enjoy it but somehow couldn't. I didn't even finish my food. The excitement is gone. McDonald's is right down the street. Thank goodness.

Yelp
There are a lot of places in Atlanta where u can get a decent lunch for $25 but not here. I had a lobster roll, $25 with tax and small gratuity. It was a small hotdog roll with something inside that was absolutely tasteless. I did not recognize it as lobster. Two stars because the place is clean and the person taking my order was pleasant. Never again.

Yelp
Another not pretty experience.. ugh!!!!! My friend came to pick up her watch at the mall. We walked past Cousins Maine Lobster and while waiting at the store, I googled Cousins Maine Lobster. It kind of sounded familiar. Oh so the owners had appeared at Shark Tank. After picking up the watch, we three decided to get a bite at this newly opened restaurant. One of my friends ordered a fish & chip, the rest of us ordered a lobster bisque each. FOOD 1/5 Let me just say the fries which accompanied the Fish & Chips were good. The tartar sauce was good too. The whole fish though looked sad. The fish was not good. Lobster bisque the worst. It was so watery. There were like two very tiny pieces of lobster meat. It was the worst bisque I ever had. Charging a bowl for $9.50 plus tax for such bisque was preposterous. Then again I would not want it even if it was free. AMBIENCE 1/5 It was a cute tiny shop. However, the chairs were uncomfortable. Why did they come up with the idea of serving lobster bisque in those styrofoam cups? It was a mess even when I tried to open it in the gentlest way. SERVICE 4/5 The staff was friendly and adequate. I doubt this restaurant will survive for long. This is essentially a fast food joint with astronomical prices serving lousy food. Shark tank or not, you can bet we girls will not be returning here :(

Yelp
Lobster heaven! What's better than lobster as an appetizer, entree and dessert? Can't think of anything. My last 2 experiences here have been nothing short of sublime. I've had their lobster bisque, clam chowder, Maine roll, Connecticut roll, lobster tacos, lobster tots, and the fried lobster tail with tots. All delicious. My favorite is the Maine lobster roll over the Connecticut one. Can't wait to go again!

Yelp
Cousins Maine Lobster opened on 6.21! Here's a little bit of their back story of how they started out from the idea to food truck to a franchise with the help of Barbara Corcoran from Shark Tank. Love that show and glad to see that a business is flourishing from the show! https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cnbc.com/amp/2016/06/30/shark-tank-success-story-how-lobster-truck-guys-turned-20000-into-20-million-commentary.html I've been waiting for this place to open in Lenox to give us an option where it's a quick bite without feeling overly guilty! Cousins is located past Steve Madden across ATL tacos. It's more of a small nook to order your food and eat on the tables that's set up next to the outside wall. Theres about 6 table tops that sits 2 to 3 people and some bar seating inside for about 6 to 8. Once you order, they give you a # and deliver the food once ready. I ordered the Connecticut roll since I'm all about the butter and prefer warmer food. It came with a small cole slaw and a pickle slice. I could smell the lobster roll right away with its freshness and once you take a bite, you can taste it as well. While I prefer it to be drenched in butter, I thought it was coated in butter just the perfect balance for all. There was no other topping however and while it was delicious as it is, thought the bread could be more toasted or flavorful to compliment it more. Same for cole slaw, a bit on the bland side. Overall though, I was quite satisfied with my lobster roll and for $20 I felt like I tasted something that would be perfect representation of Maine, despite the fact I have never been haha. Welcome Cousins!

Yelp
The staff here was very, very friendly, accommodating and personable. I had a 30 minute wait for my roll which was to be expected with the long line and short staffing. The wait is forgiven, but my roll was "lukewarm" instead of warm or hot. However it was delicious, well seasoned, dripping with butter and a crisp pickle spear. Small portion compared to what I've had in the north but great. However the outside eating area was very messy (many of these patrons don't throw away anything and the fountain machine wasn't working). However the staff did what they could under the circumstances and again they should be applauded. I was told their number 1 seller is the lobster tacos and after that is the BLT so do take that under consideration.

Yelp
I remember Cousins Maine Lobster from shark tank and was excited to give it a shot. The first thing I want to point out was the customer service. Erin, the cashier at the time, helped me out and was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. She was extremely sweet and really made an effort to get to know the customers. She asked about how I found out about this place -- not sure if she is a franchise owner but the level of customer service made me think she was. I ordered the Connecticut without pickles and cole slaw. The roll itself was ok. I noticed the lobster was a bit over cooked and the roll itself a bit soggy with too much butter. 3/5 for the lobster roll. Since I didn't get the pickle and cole slaw, I asked if I could have a small side of tater tots. At first, Erin said she couldn't but later brought me a small order. Tater tots were amazing 5/5, classic tots. The customer service was on point and, although the lobster roll could use a bit of work, I'll be a return customer because of the small and thoughtful gesture. Thanks for making my first experiences great one!
